  Using newspaper either printed or online as a medium of English learning is a unique way to stimulate students’ interest in reading since most of the students at this age have dropped their interest in reading resulting their lack of English vocabulary.  The researcher decided to use the newspaper as a medium to build students’ vocabulary. The researcher chose a group of participants from a group of 10th-grade students in SMK 45 Lembang, which are class XB and Class XE.  The school gave these two classes as the samples because they believed each class has relatively equal knowledge and cognitive abilities.  In this study, researchers randomly selected from the two classes to be used as a sample for the Control and Experimental Class.  As a result, researchers found class XE as Control class and XB as the Experimental class.  The study lasted for a full month, in which each class received different treatment.  As a result, the Gain value of Experimental class is higher than the Control class.  Moreover, based on the result of the data analysis with the Mann-Whitney U test method, it showed that there were significant differences in Students’ Vocabulary growth, between Control class and Experimental class.  Based on the calculation of Non-parametric Mann- Whitney U test, the gain data between Experimental Class and Control Class show the value of Asymp Sig. (0.000), Zα (0.05) and the value of Z (4.847). Z α (1.96).  Therefore, the researcher can conclude that the method of using newspaper as a teaching material has a positive impact on the absorption and growth in students’ vocabulary. The purpose of this study was to determine whether the Team Game Tournament (TGT) Learning Model improves the English learning achievement of students of The class X IPA-2 odd semester Madrasah Aliyah Negeri 1 Pati in the 2019/2020 academic year. The design of this study is a classroom action research conducted in three cycles. Each cycle consists of planning, implementing, observing and reflecting. The research subjects were students of The class X IPA-2 odd semesters Madrasah Aliyah Negeri 1 Pati in the 2019/2020 academic year. The research variables consist of student achievement variables and teacher activity variables. The data collection method is the observation questionnaire method, and the test method. The data analysis method is qualitative data analysis. From the results of the study, information was obtained that there was an increase in the English learning achievement of The class X IPA-2 students in the odd semester of Madrasah Aliyah Negeri 1 Kudus for the 2019/2020 academic year. This increase is indicated by: (1) the average student achievement in cycle I is 7.14; in the second cycle cycle was 7.44; and in cycle III is 8.84; (2) student learning completeness in cycle I was 17 students or 47.22% and 19 students or 52.78% who did not complete; in cycle II students who completed were 26 students or 72.22% and those who did not complete were 10 students or 27.78%; in cycle III, students who completed 36 students or 100% and there were no students who did not complete; (3) completeness of classical learning in the first cycle was 47.22%, in the second cycle it was 72.22; and in cycle III it reaches 100%. This means that it has reached the predetermined indicator. Besides that, there is also an increase in student activity during the learning process, both individually and in groups. Student responses or responses to the application of the TGT learning model were classified as high, reaching 83.14%.

<p class="AbstractEnglish"><strong>Abstract:</strong><strong> </strong>This research motivated by the result of evaluation student’s ability in literacy science through test PISA more declined. Student’s ability in literacy science influenced by learning model. Learning model reputed can increase student’s ability in literacy science is model discovery learning, because discovery learning modified between invention and investigation problem, so it can increase student’s comprehension of concept applied in daily activity. Purpose of this research is to know influenced model discovery learning at sience integrated to authority student’s literacy science. Design of this research is nonequivalent control Group Design. Location of this research is SMP N I on 16-23 May 2016. Method to take data was used test and non-test method they are pretest and posttest, quesioner, and observation sheet. The Test used question of PISA 2009 and it has been translated into Indonesian language. Above to first stage of data analysis concerning result of prestest trough normalities dan homogeniety test showed that both of experiment and control class was normal and homogen. Result of students' ability to answer science questions of PISA at the fastest stage for experiment and control class have averaged 60 and 61, both of the sample classes have value of average which almost same. Above to last stage of data analysis through t-test showed that tcount &lt; ttable therefore Ho was received. The conclusion of this research is there is not influence of model discovery learning at science integrated to authority student’s literacy science. Model discovery learning can’t influenced to student’s literacy science because at the first stage to introduce PISA question, students need teacher’s intensive guidance, it’s antipodes with model discovery learning which in applied of model discovery learning, students ask to learn by them self antonomously, therefore it will be effective if used model contextual learning at introduced stage of literacy science and PISA’s question.</p><p class="KeywordsEngish"> </p><p class="AbstrakIndonesia"><strong>Abstrak: </strong>Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi oleh hasil evaluasi kemampuan litersi sains siswa di Indonesia melalui tes PISA semakin menurun. Kemampuan literasi sains siswa salah satunya dipengaruhi oleh model pembelajaran. Model pembelajaran yang dianggap mampu meningkatkan kemampuan literasi sains siswa adalah model discovery learning, karena model ini memodifikasi antara penemuan dan penyelidikan dalam memecahkan masalah sehingga dapat meningkatkan pemahaman konsep siswa yang dapat diterapkan di lapangan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model discovery learning pada mata pelajaran IPA Terpadu  terhadap penguasaan literasi sains  siswa. Desain penelitian yang digunakan adalah Noneequivalent Control Group Desain. Lokasi penelitian adalah SMP Negeri I Tayu pada tanggal 16 sampai 23 Mei 2016. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa dari kelas VII. Sampel terdiri dari dua kelas yang diambil degan teknik cluster random sampling.  Metode pengumpulan data menggunakan metode tes yaitu pretest dan postest, angket, dan lembar observasi. Tes  yang diberikan menggunakan soal-soal yang diperoleh dari soal PISA 2009. Hasil kemampuan siswa dalam menjawab soal sains PISA pada tahap postest kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol mempunyai rata-rata sebesar 60 dan 61,. Berdasarkan analisis tahap akhir dengan menggunakan uji t menyatakan bahwa t<sub>hitung</sub>&lt;t<sub>tabel </sub> yaitu t<sub>0,281</sub>&lt; t<sub>0,559</sub> olehkarenaitu H<sub>0</sub>diterima.<sub>.</sub>Dari hasil penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa tidak ada pengaruh model discovery learning pada mata pelajaran IPA Terpadu terhadap penguasaan literasi sains siswa. Model discovery learning tidak memberi pengaruh terhadap penguasan literasi sains siswa karena pada tahap pengenalan soal PISA siswa membutuhkan tuntunan dan bimbingan guru secara intensif, hal ini berlawanan dengan model discovery learning dimana dalam penggunaan model discovery learning ini siswa di tuntut untuk belajar mandiri untuk menemukan dan menyelidiki suatu masalah, oleh karena itu akan lebih efektif jika dugunakan model pembelajaran langssung  pada tahap pengenalan soal-saoal terjemahan PISA.</p>

The objective: to study the efficacy and safety of using in the complex treatment of cytoprotector Vazonat in combination with the nootropic medicine of entropy in patients with chronic toxic liver damage. Patients and methods. There were examined 60 patients (36 men and 24 women) with signs of liver toxicity in age from 35 to 63 years. The average age of the examined was 43.2±1.3 years. All patients were divided into two statistically homogeneous groups (main and control) for 30 people in each. Patients in both groups received diet therapy, hepatoprotective, according to indications – antispasmodic, choleretic, antisecretory drugs, and enzymes. The main group of patients in the combined therapy was additionally appointed Vazonat 500 mg per day (2 capsules per day) and Entrop 100 mg per day in the first half of day for 1 month. Results. Analysis of the obtained results testifies the effectiveness of additional use of drugs Vazonat and Entrop in combination with a standard hepatoprotective therapy in patients with chronic toxic liver in comparison of using only basic therapy. There was a positive dynamics of the main clinical syndromes. It was proved the positive impact of integrated therapy on the functional activity of the liver and also improving of cognitive abilities. Conclusion. Inclusion in comprehensive standard hepatoprotective therapy of patients with chronic toxic liver damage drugs Vazonat and Entrop accelerates the normalization of the functional state of the liver.

The study aims to know the effectiveness of mathematics teaching material used based on ethnomathematics toward mathematical solving problem skill and student critical thinking and to know how student activity on mathematics learning by applying mathematics teaching material based on ethnomathematics. Research method applies a quantitative method with post-test only control design research type. Sampling technique applies cluster random sampling. Data collection technique applies documentation, observation, and test method. Data analysis technique applies quantitative data analysis by using t-test. Based on data analysis result, mathematics teaching material based on ethnomathematics proves effective toward solving problem skill and student mathematical critical thinking. Besides, by applying mathematics teaching material can raise student activity.

The research objective is to analyze the direct impact of leadership toward transfer knowledge and work effectiveness in Boven Digoel. Data analysis in this research is quantitative using a path analysis model (path analysis) with the help of Smart PLS Software version 3.2 .8. The research distributed questionnaires to 89 respondents of officers assigned at the secretariat office in Boven Digoel Regency. On the basis of statistical results, it was found that leadership can be said to have impacted positively and significant knowledge transfer and work effectiveness. The knowledge transfer also has a positive impact on work effectiveness.

Background: We aimed to investigate the associations of breast cancer (BC) and cancer-related chemotherapies with cytokine levels, and cognitive function. Methods: We evaluated subjective and objective cognitive function in BC patients before chemotherapy and 3~9 months after the completion of chemotherapy. Healthy volunteers without cancer were also compared as control group. Interleukins (IL) 2, 4, 5, 6, 10, 12p70, 13, 17A, 1β, IFNγ, and TNFα were measured. Associations of cancer status, chemotherapy and cytokine levels with subjective and objective cognitive impairments were analyzed using a regression model, adjusting for covariates, including IQ and psychological distress. Results: After adjustment, poorer performance in semantic verbal fluency was found in the post-chemotherapy subgroup compared to controls (p = 0.011, η2 = 0.070); whereas pre-chemotherapy patients scored higher in subjective cognitive perception. Higher IL-13 was associated with lower semantic verbal fluency in the post-chemotherapy subgroup. Higher IL-10 was associated with better perceived cognitive abilities in the pre-chemotherapy and control groups; while IL-5 and IL-13 were associated with lower perceived cognitive abilities in pre-chemotherapy and control groups. Our findings from mediation analysis further suggest that verbal fluency might be affected by cancer status, although mediated by anxiety. Conclusions: Our findings suggest that verbal fluency might be affected by cancer status, although mediated by anxiety. Different cytokines and their interactions may have different roles of neuroinflammation or neuroprotection that need further research.

Through the modeling and data analysis of the questionnaire data on the relationship between innovation and entrepreneurship education and employ-ability in higher vocational colleges, this paper concludes that all innovation and entrepreneurship education will have a significant positive impact on employ-ability, and it has a significant impact on higher vocational colleges. The promotion of innovation and entrepreneurship education in the school puts forward corresponding strategies.
