Juvenile delinquency is the result of negative self-concept. Self-concept is essence of personality. To Study the effect of Pragya Yoga and Parnakarshana Pranayama on self-concept level of juvenile delinquents, this prospective study was done on juvenile delinquents of Chhattisgarh, India. For this study, permission was obtained from the superintendent of Juvenile Care Home, Raipur-Chhattisgarh, India. A total hundred (N=100) participants were selected by experimental control group design. 14 to 18 years juvenile   delinquents were selected for this study. In this study, to measure self-concept level, the self-concept scale constructed by Dr. R.K Saraswat was used. All participants were divided in two groups, an experimental group (N=50) and a control group (N=50). The groups were divided in such a way that there was no statistical significance difference in baseline mean between both the groups before the start of the study. The practice of Pragya Yoga and Pranakarshana Pranayama was done regularly for 45 days by the experimental group. The result showed that Pragyayoga and Pranakarshana Pranayama treatment lead to to significant improvement of self-concept of juvenile delinquents (p<0.01) indicating utility of these Yogic practices in Juvenile delinquency.

The aim of this research was to design self-regulation training as an alternative effort to enhance students’ competitiveness. A total number of 147 students from two private vocational schools were involved as subjects. Pretest posttest control group design was used. In each school there were an experimental group, which got self-regulation training, and a control group, which got self-concept training. Manipulation was delivered six times each of which was supervised by two observers. T-test showed there were differences between experimental groups. <p class="Normal1">Logo terapi melihat optimisme sebagai sumber kekuatan dan menanamkan pendekatan positif untuk mengatasi permasalahan hidup yang dialami. Sikap optimis dapat membantu remaja pecandu narkoba memiliki harapan untuk masa depan, dengan begitu remaja pecandu narkoba akan memiliki harga diri tinggi dalam menilai dirinya sendiri dan mampu untuk bersosialisasi di lingkungan. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah melihat keefektifan logo terapi terhadap harga diri remaja pecandu narkoba di Pondok Pesantren Bidayatussalikin Yogyakarta. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah <em>quasi ekperimen</em> dengan menggunakan <em>non equivalent control grup design, </em>masing-masing kelompok eksperimen dan kontrol akan diberikan <em>pretest</em> dan <em>posttest</em>. Hasil yang diperoleh dalam penelitian ini adalah logo terapi efektif terhadap harga diri remaja pecandu narkoba di Pondok Pesantren Bidayatussalikin.<br /><br /><em>Logotherapy sees optimism as a source of strength and instills a positive approach to overcome life's problems experienced. An optimistic attitude can help adolescent drug addicts have hope for the future, so adolescent drug addicts will have high self-esteem in assessing themselves and being able to socialize in the environment. The purpose of this study was to look at the effectiveness of logotherapy to increase the self-esteem of adolescent drug addicts in the Bidayatussalikin Islamic Boarding School in Yogyakarta. The research method used was quasi-experiment using non equivalent control group design, each experimental group and control group will be given a pretest and posttest. The results obtained in this study were effective logotherapy to increase the self-esteem of adolescent drug addicts in Bidayatussalikin Islamic Boarding School</em>.</p>

This study aimed to determine the effect of the implementation of the Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) model with the outdoor approach towards students’ ability in mathematical representation. It was quasi-experimental research consisting of two experimental classes and one control group. It used a pretest-posttest control group design. The population of this study was the students of SUPM Tegal. Sampling was conducted using cluster random consisting of three classes. The first experimental group was carried out by implementing the learning model of CTL with the outdoor approach. The second experimental group was carried out by implementing a learning model of CTL, while the control group was conducted by implementing a conventional learning model. The research instrument was a 7-point mathematical representation test in the form of an essay. The results of the research were 1) the learning model of CTL with an outdoor approach affected the improvement and achievement of the students’ ability in mathematical representation and was higher than CTL and a conventional learning; 2) the improvement of the students’ ability of representation in the groups of CTL with outdoor approach, CTL, and conventional learning respectively was in high, medium, and low category.

Abstrak             Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui keefektifan model Picture and Picture dan Model Sugesti Imajinasi dalam pembelajaran menulis puisi pada siswa kelas VIII SMP. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 5 Banjarnegara. Sampel penelitian ini yaitu siswa kelas VIII-D kelompok eksperimen 1 menggunakan model Picture and Picture dan VIII-C Kelompok eksperimen 2 menggunakan model Sugesti Imajinasi. Desain yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah quasi experimental design dengan bentuk nonequivalent control group design. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa model Picture and Picture lebih efektif dibandingkan dengan model Sugesti Imajinasi dalam pembelajaran menulis puisi pada siswa kelas VIII SMP.   Kata Kunci: model picture and picture, model sugesti imajinasi, teks puisi.   Abstract This study aimed to determine the effectiveness of the Picture and Picture Model and Imagination Suggestion Model in learning to write poetry for eight-grade students of Junior High School. The population in this study were eighth-grade students of SMP Negeri 5 Banjarnegara. The samples of this study were the class VIII-D students as in the experimental group 1 using the Picture and Picture and VIII-C as in the experimental group 2 using the Imagination Suggestion model. The design used in this research is quasi experimental design with nonequivalent control group design. The results showed that the Picture and Picture model was more effective than the Imagination Suggestion model in learning to write poetry for the eighth-grade students of Junior High School.

This study aimed to find the effect of using monopoli game media towards learning result on social science major at fourth grade of SDN Gugus 15 Kota Bengkulu. This research is quantitative, using experiment method, with The Matching Only Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design. The instrument used was test sheet in multiple choice form. The test was taken two times, before and after giving treatening to the sample class. The sample in this research was the students in IVB of SDN 76 Kota Bengkulu (control group) and the students in IV of SDN 104 Kota Bengkulu (experimental group). The t value gotten was (3,668) > ttable (1,668). The result of t value was higher than t table, so it can be concluded that there are significant effect of using monopoli game media towards learning result on social science major at fourth grade SDN Gugus 15 Kota Bengkulu.

This research aims to know the effect of group investigation learning on student’s science process skill based on their IQ in SMAN 1 Mataram for eleventh grade students. This is a quasi experimental study using pretest postest control group design design. Pretest was taken to get data of student’s IQ. Posttest was also conducted to measure student’s science process skill. Sample was taken using nonprobability sampling from the population of eleventh grade student in SMAN 1 Mataram.The sample was two group of student each from two class, class XI sains 6 and as experimental group and class XI sains 5 as control group. The average os Student’s IQ on experimental group and control group were equal, both at 112. Learning processes were 12 x 45 minutes long in total. The experimental group showed better average score on posttest where they scored 82.40 on average, while control group only scored 74.83 on average. This value is statistically significant, at p = 0.007, less that 0.005. This result shows that implementation of group investigation can increase student’s science process skill.Keywords: Group investigation, science process skill, intelligence Quotient (IQ)ABSTRACT

This research describes the differences of student’s learning with the application of cooperative learning type make a match in the electrolyte and non-electrolyte at the X grade student’s of the Madrasah Aliya DDI Lonja. This research used quasi experimental with non randomized pretest-posttest control group design. This research was conducted with two groups: XA as the experimental (n=21) XB as the control group (n=18). The data findings means score of experimental group (X1) is 70,5 with the standard deviation 9,6 and the control group (X2) is 62.0 with the standard deviation is 6. Based on the results, the researcher concludes cooperative learning type make a match has better than control class that used conventional learning model.

The research aimed to figure out the effect of metaphor counseling in STAR KIDS (Story Teach Responsibility for Kids) module toward the responsibility of 6-7-year-old students of the first grade of elementary school. The research used untreated control group design by providing pretest and posttest sample design. The research subject consisted of 21 students in the experimental group and 26 students as the control group. The responsibility data collection performed by using observation guideline checklist, which quantified in the interval scale. SPM Raven scale measured the children's bits of intelligence. The STAR KIDS treatment is given in 15 meetings. The results of the pretest and posttest were analyzed by using Anacova analysis technique through SPSS 17 for Windows. The research result showed that (1) students of experiment group who received STAR KIDS metaphor counseling showed higher responsibility increase rather than students of a control group who did not receive the treatment, (2) The intelligence of the students did not show the effect on the effectiveness of counseling metaphor.

The present study aims the experimental design adopted in the present study is the partial control experimental design of a pre-post control group design. The present study has been limited to the fifth primary class pupils included with in the state primary schools in Baghdad during the academic year (2017-2018), The sample consists of 63 male and female 4th primary class pupils , distributed into 31 ones as an experimental group from Al-Mutanbi Primary school and 32 students as a control group Equalization. The instrument is constructing test measuring concepts acquisition consisted of (8) concepts which consists of (24) items. Experimental group pupils, who have been exposed to Strategy Analog Thinking, have been superior to those at the control group in social content material acquisition.

Aim of the present study was to examine the effect of yogic practices in managing libidinal impulses among adolescents and improving their quality of life. Experimental and control group design was used. Eighty samples were collected through accidental sampling (40 in experimental group and 40 in control group) from Mother Teresa Public School, Delhi. The students those who had high levels of libidinal impulses were selected. The age of the subjects ranged from 14-19 years. The students in the experimental group were made to do yogic practices regularly for 40 days. Libidinal Impulses Scale and PGI General Wellbeing Scale were used. The obtained values of t-test for Libidinal Impulses and General Wellbeing are significant at 0.01 level of confidence. The  result  of  the  study  shows  that  yogic practices  are  significantly  effective  in  reducing  the  levels  of  libidinal impulses  and  improve the level of quality of life of adolescents.
