A PORTRAIT OF A PRINCES IN SOCIETY IN MORTON’S DIANA: HER TRUE STORY – IN HER OWN WORDS (A BIOGRAPHICAL ANALYSIS)

The purpose of this research is to reveal about Princess Diana’s role in society in Andrew Morton Diana: Her True Story – In Her Own Words. This research is classified as a qualitative research. The data gathered are in the form of words as well as quotation. The writer collects the data from two kinds of sources namely primary source and secondary. The primary data source was taken from the Biography book Diana: Her True Story – In Her Own Words by Andrew Morton. And the secondary source is other material that supports the analysis, such as website. The result of this study shows the role of Princess Diana in society. Diana as a Princess actives in humanitarian activities, she was always seen visit and entertain AIDS sufferers, leprosy and other diseases, she also actively visited homeless people in shelters, she was active in supporting human welfare, and actively raised funds and formed charities to help people who need help. The one thing that Diana had done that shocked the world at the time was when she broke the stigma about Aids, that touching or shaking hands with people with Aids would get infected, but Diana shook their hands and even sat close and comforted them.Humanitarian, Princess, Lady Diana, Biographical Approach.

This paper discusses the content of Q.S. al-Baqarah ([2]: 67-73). The data used in the preparation of this paper is the data that is primary and secondary. The primary source is data obtained from the core source. In conducting a study of a verse, it is clear that the primary data source is derived from the Qur'an,precisely on Q.S. al-Baqarah ([2]: 67-73). Secondary data is dataobtained from other sources that are still related to the problemand provide interpretation of the primary source. The method usedin analyzing this paper is the tahlili method. This method describesthe meaning contained by the Qur'an, verse by verse, and letterafter letter according to the order in the Mushaf. The descriptionincludes the various aspects which the interpreted verses contain,such as the meaning of the vocabulary, the connotation of thesentence, the background of the verse down, its relation to otherverses, both before and after. And do not miss the opinion that hasbeen given regarding the interpretation of these verses, whetherdelivered by the Prophet, companions, the tabi'in, as well as othercommentators. This study shows that in Q.S. (2): 67-73) there arevalues of moral education which include: 1) morals in asking, (2)morals to parents, (3) patience of educators, (4) educator honesty,and (5) obedience of learners.

Abstrak - Aguk Irawan adalah salah satu sastrawan yang menggunakan sastra novel sebagai media dakwahnya. Penanaman pesan-pesan moral-spiritual penulis kepada pembaca melalui tokoh yang dihidupkan di dalamnya. Peneliti tertarik dengan salah satu karya beliau untuk diteliti yang kemudian terangkum dengan judul, “Maqamat Tokoh Midah dalam Novel Mekkah: Memoar Luka Seorang TKW Karya Aguk Irawan”. Novel yang terinspirasi dari kisah nyata ini menggambarkan tentang pengembaraan jiwa seorang perempuan dalam menemukan Tuhannya. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode library research atau penelitian kepustakaan. Adapun sumber data yang digunakan adalah sumber data primer yaitu novel Mekkah: Memoar Luka Seorang TKW, sedangkan sumber data sekundernya adalah beberapa karya Aguk Irawan yang lain dan juga sumber referensi yang terkait dengan penelitian. Berdasarkan hasil analisa yang telah peneliti lakukan dapat ditarik kesimpulan bahwa novel Mekkah: Memoar Luka Seorang TKW merupakan novel yang mengandung ajaran tasawuf. Aguk Irawan menyampaikan ajaran tasawufnya melalui tokoh Midah Hamidah yang terangkum dalam laku kehidupannya sehari - hari. Peneliti menemukan beberapa maqamat yang tergambar dari tokoh Midah Hamidah, diantaranya adalah: taubat, zuhud, sabar, syukur, dan ridha. Novel karya Aguk Irawan ini sangat berguna untuk digunakan sebagai media dakwah di kalangan remaja maupun masyarakat pada umumnya.Abstract - Aguk Irawan is one of the writers who used novel literature as his propaganda media. Planting the writer's moral-spiritual messages to the reader through the characters who are turned on in them. Researchers are interested in one of his works for research which is then summarized with the title, "Maqamat Tokoh Midah dalam Novel Mekkah: Memoar Luka Seorang TKW Karya Aguk Irawan”. This novel, inspired by a true story, depicts the wandering of a woman's soul in finding her God. This research uses library research or library research. The source of the data used is the primary data source, namely the Mecca novel: Memoirs of Luka of a TKW, while the secondary data source is some of Aguk Irawan's other works and also a reference source related to research. Based on the results of the analysis that researchers have done, it can be concluded that the novel Mecca: Memoirs of Luka of a TKW is a novel that contains the teachings of Sufism. Aguk Irawan conveyed his Sufism teachings through the figure of Midah Hamidah summarized in his daily life. Researchers found several maqamat drawn from the Midah Hamidah figures, including repentance, zuhud, patience, gratitude, and pleasure. This novel by Aguk Irawan is very useful to be used as a media for da'wah among teenagers and the general public.Keywords - Literary works, Novels, Maqamat, Spirituality, Hermeneutics

This study aims to determine the role of the Sharia Supervisory Board in supervising Sharia Savings and Loan Cooperatives (KSPPS) so that operations do not come out of sharia provisions. Sharia Supervisory Board includes legal assistants who have the duty to ensure and conduct supervision so that Sharia Financial Institutions are in sharia provisions. Savings and Loan Cooperatives and Sharia Financing are financial institutions that are socially based and in their activities are based on moral principles by considering haram and lawfulness of a business that is run in accordance with Islamic regulations. The method used to conduct this research is qualitative. The data source uses secondary data and primary data by collecting data in the form of interviews and documents. Based on the results of observations on KSPPS Berkah Abadi Gemilang that Supervision conducted by DPS there is still an obstacle that causes less optimal supervision, namely members of sharia supervisors who do not understand muamalah fiqh, mastery of economics and DPS rarely make office visits. In addition, one member of the DPS also does not yet have a certificate of proof of passing the exam from DSN-MUI or other standard certificates, in this case at least the results of the certificate provide a guarantee that the Sharia Supervisory Board has passed the feasibility test to become the Sharia Supervisory Board. KSPPS Berkah Abadi Gemilang in practice also still has errors, the Ba'I Bi'saman Ajil contract which is supposed to be a sale and purchase agreement but made as a financing and error in determining the margin based on the presentation of the money lent.

Sharia banking are interested in getting involved channeling financing to the real sector of SMEs, including Bank BNI Syariah Makassar and Bank Panin Dubai Syariah Makassar. The purpose of this study is to determine the development of SMEs financing provided by sharia banking. Then to find out the role of sharia banking for the distribution financing for SMEs in the city of Makassar. As well as to find out the form of integration of the development of the department of sharia banking UIN Alauddin Makassar, through the distribution of financing for SMEs in sharia banking institution. This type of research is a field research, by taking data directly. The nature of the research is qualitative. The data source uses primary data and secondary data related to the research theme. The data analysis technique used in this research is qualitative descriptive, which describes the objects in the study. The results of this study indicate the development of the distribution of financing in sharia banking reaching 15.93 percent. Then Bank BNI Syariah and Bank Panin Dubai Syariah Makassar channeled financing to SMEs sector, reaching 20 percent. The form of integration in the development of departement sharia banking is by presenting courses on object management of financing sharia banking and courses on SMEs business.

This study attempts to describe the communication strategies used and various kinds of activities carried out by UIN Ar-Raniry public relations in establishing relationships with the press media. The research method used in this study is the qualitative method with a descriptive approach. The data sources of this study were obtained from respondents as the primary data source through several stages in the form of observations records, in-depth interviews, and documentation. The data analysis was performed by using descriptive qualitative analysis techniques through three flows of activities that were carried out simultaneously, namely data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The result of the study revealed that the role of public relations of UIN Ar-Raniry in establishing relations with the press media has been going well. It can be seen from the communication strategies used and the various forms of activities that is organized by UIN Ar-Raniry public relation in developing relations with the press media. The communication strategy used is a two-way symmetrical and Reciprocity communication strategy that conforms to the principles of media relations. Several kinds of activities carried out by UIN Ar-Raniry public relations in developing relationships with the press media are Press Coverage, Press Conference, Press Release, Press Statement, Press Interview, and Electronics Communications. Meanwhile, the informal activities are Press Reception and Morning Coffee.

AbstractThis study aims at explaining the symbols used in the novel and describing the values of optimistic of life reflected in the symbols used in Coelho’s The Alchemist. This research is classified as a descriptive qualitative method. The primary data source of this study is the novel The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho. The collecting data process is a note-taking technique. This study is also categorized as library research. Based on the findings and discussion, the researcher draws the conclusion such follows. First, there are six elements or values which characterize someone as the one who has an optimistic view of life and these ones are reflected as the symbols used in this novel. They are the values of hope, faith, power, struggle, positive-thinking, and respect. Second, that there are twelve symbols used in The Alchemist, those symbols are divided into three groups which consist of four symbols of characters, two symbols of events or concepts and six symbols of things. The result of the study shows that the twelve symbols in The Alchemist are how the author addresses Optimistic through a story of self-quest of the author. According to the whole finding, the symbols lead the readers to understand the message of Paulo Coelho that everybody can find their happiness in themselves. AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk menjelaskan simbol-simbol yang digunakan dalam novel dan menggambarkan nilai-nilai optimistis kehidupan yang tercermin dalam simbol-simbol yang digunakan dalam Coelho's The Alchemist. Penelitian ini diklasifikasikan sebagai metode deskriptif kualitatif. Sumber data primer dari penelitian ini adalah novel The Alchemist karya Paulo Coelho. Proses pengumpulan data adalah teknik mencatat. Penelitian ini juga termasuk penelitian kepustakaan. Berdasarkan temuan dan diskusi, peneliti menarik kesimpulan sebagai berikut. Pertama, ada enam elemen atau nilai-nilai yang mencirikan seseorang sebagai orang yang memiliki pandangan hidup yang optimis dan yang tercermin sebagai simbol yang digunakan dalam novel ini. Mereka adalah nilai-nilai harapan, iman, kekuatan, perjuangan, pemikiran positif, dan rasa hormat. Kedua, bahwa ada dua belas simbol yang digunakan dalam The Alchemist, simbol-simbol itu dibagi menjadi tiga kelompok yang terdiri dari empat simbol karakter, dua simbol peristiwa atau konsep dan enam simbol benda. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kedua belas simbol dalam The Alchemist adalah bagaimana penulis membahas Optimistic melalui kisah pencarian diri penulis. Menurut seluruh temuan itu, simbol-simbol itu mengarahkan para pembaca untuk memahami pesan Paulo Coelho bahwa setiap orang dapat menemukan kebahagiaan mereka dalam diri mereka sendiri. AbstractMercury environmental cycle and toxicology have been widely researched. Given the long history of mercury pollution, researching mercury trends in the past can help to understand its behaviour in the present. Archaeological skeletons have been found to be useful sources of information regarding mercury loads in the past. In our study we applied a soil multi-sampling approach in two burials dated to the 5th to 6th centuries AD. PLRS modelling was used to elucidate the factors controlling mercury distribution. The model explains 72% of mercury variance and suggests that mercury accumulation in the burial soils is the result of complex interactions. The decomposition of the bodies not only was the primary source of mercury to the soil but also responsible for the pedogenetic transformation of the sediments and the formation of soil components with the ability to retain mercury. The amount of soft tissues and bone mass also resulted in differences between burials, indicating that the skeletons were a primary/secondary source of mercury to the soil (i.e. temporary sink). Within burial variability seems to depend on the proximity of the soil to the thoracic area, where the main mercury target organs were located. We also conclude that, in coarse textured soils, as the ones studied in this investigation, the finer fraction (i.e. silt + clay) should be analysed, as it is the most reactive and the one with the higher potential to provide information on metal cycling and incipient soil processes. Finally, our study stresses the need to characterise the burial soil environment in order to fully understand the role of the interactions between soil and skeleton in mercury cycling in burial contexts.

Some gampongs in Aceh Besar have established gampong reusam on child protection in written form. Reusam which usually regulates public behavior about habits undertaken by the public in an unwritten form, is now beginning to be written in written form. The formation of gampong reusam was formed by Tuha Peut Gampong which was discussed together with the keuchik and community leaders of the gampong. This research aims to find out how the process of reusam formation of child protection in Aceh Besar and how the role of Tuha Peut in determining the direction of development of child protection reusam in Aceh Besar. This research uses qualitative research with data source from primary data obtained through interview with Keuchik, Tuha Peut Gampong and Female Woman. Secondary data is obtained through documentation studies in the library. The results showed that the process of forming a village reusam on Child Protection was established through the involvement of elements and community leaders, even women were involved in the preparation. Tuha Peut has an important role in the development of a gampong reusam that adopts local and applicable local values in Aceh. These values are deliberation, mediation and the use of adat sanctions for child offenders in cases that occur, such as Advice, Warning, apology, fines, compensation, returned to the family, Establishment of Child Protection Committees dealing with law and engagement government agencies.

This paper briefly discusses about the income and generation of employment contributed by the Private Schools in Nepal. The educational system of Nepal includes school education and higher education. In both levels, the role of private education has grown up, promoted and explored by some educational actors as a solution to the lack of sufficient public provision of education or underperforming public schools. Primary source has been used for collection of data. The main purpose of collecting primary data and information at micro level is to understand academic environment, income and employment situation, perception of teachers, and academic facilities with the school of sample schools. There are significant numbers of semi-skilled and unskilled labor force in private schools. Hence school is also providing employment not only to the skilled and educated mass but also to the unskilled and semi-skilled both male and female workers.

This research is classified as a descriptive qualitative method. The primary data source of this study is the novel The Old Man and the sea by Ernest Hemingway. First, it is found that there are eight symbols used in this novel. They are classified into Individual symbol and Universal symbol. In the novel the Old Man and the Sea the symbols which the researcher considers as individual symbols. Individual symbols are the old man as a symbol of someone who has optimistic, Manolin as a symbol of hope, Marlin as a symbol Struggle of life, Shark as a symbol of Destruction and problem, joe Di Maggio as a symbol Strong desire, bird as a symbol of help. The second category is Universal symbol. universal symbol are Sea as symbol of universe, Lion as symbol of strength. there are two elements or values which characterize someone as the one who has optimistic life which is reflected in the symbols used in this novel.
