One indicator of the success of a food delivery system is food waste, which is a simple indicator for evaluating the success of hospital nutrition services. Good quality of food service can reduce the patient's leftovers. The study aimed to analyze the food reservation system, relationships of satisfaction level, and foodservice quality towards fee, leftover, and lost nutrition in patients of Koja Hospital North Jakarta. The study used a descriptive observational method and cross-sectional type with sample calculation using absolute determination. The number of samples is 132 respondents. The results of the bivariate analysis used the Spearman correlation test. The result of the study showed that related to lost costs are food taste, menu variations, animal side variations, vegetable dish variations, vegetable menu variations, fruit menu variations, the accuracy of feeding schedules, state of eating utensils, and satisfaction levels. Variables related to missing nutrients are gender, food taste, menu variations, animal side dishes, vegetable side dishes, vegetable menu variations, fruit menu variations, the accuracy of feeding schedules, and satisfaction levels. The conclusion of the study there is a relationship between the characteristics of the respondent (sex) with nutrients lost, there is a relationship between the quality of food service and the level of satisfaction with the costs and nutrients lost.ABSTRAKSalah satu indikator keberhasilan suatu sistem penyelenggaraan makanan adalah sisa makanan, yang menjadi indikator sederhana untuk mengevaluasi keberhasilan pelayanan gizi rumah sakit. Kualitas pelayanan makanan yang baik dapat mengurangi sisa makanan pasien. Tujuan penelitian untuk menganalisis sistem penyelenggaraan makanan, tingkat kepuasan dan kualitas pelayanan makanan terhadap biaya sisa makanan dan zat gizi yang hilang pada pasien rawat inap Rumah Sakit Umum Daerah Koja Jakarta Utara. Penelitian menggunakan metode deskriptif bersifat observasional dan berjenis cross sectional dengan perhitungan sampel menggunakan ketetapan absolut. Jumlah sampel sebanyak 132 responden. Hasil analisis bivariat menggunakan uji statistik korelasi spearman. Hasil Uji Korelasi Spearman menunjukan variabel yang berhubungan dengan biaya yang hilang adalah rasa makanan, variasi menu, variasi lauk hewani, variasi lauk nabati, variasi menu sayur, variasi menu buah, ketepatan jadwal pemberian makan, keadaan peralatan makan, dan tingkat kepuasan. Variabel yang berhubungan dengan zat gizi yang hilang adalah jenis kelamin, rasa makanan, variasi menu, variasi lauk hewani, variasi lauk nabati, variasi menu sayur, variasi menu buah, ketepatan jadwal pemberian makan, dan tingkat kepuasan. Kesimpulan menunjukkan adanya hubungan antara karakteristik responden (jenis kelamin) dengan zat gizi yang hilang, ada hubungan kualitas pelayanan makanan dan tingkat kepuasan dengan biaya dan zat gizi yang hilang.Kata kunci: tingkat kepuasan, sisa makanan, biaya yang hilang, zat gizi yang hilang

Cooperation of nurses needed in helping to resolve the client's problem. Cooperation was an important element in developing quality of human resources and improving performance. The general objective of this study was to identify cooperation-relation nurse with motivation in implementing the family nursing care at Surabaya city. The research method was analytical observational with cross sectional approach. The population of this study was 175 nurses at local government clinic at Surabaya city. The sample size of this study was 122 gained by probability sampling. The research variables include the cooperation of nurses and motivation in implementing family nursing care. Instrument used questionnaire. Bivariate analysis of the data was done by Spearman correlation test. Limit the test of significance is 0.05. The test resulted that there was a relationship of cooperation with the motivation of nurses in implementing family nursing care (p = 0.03). Nurses should develop cooperative relationships in order to increase their motivation to carry out the nursing care of the family.

Background & Objective: Quality of the food is oriented towards customer satisfaction that having regard among things like food appearance, taste and variety menu. This study aims to identify factors that associated with satisfaction to the food management for convicted criminal in Prison Class IIA Palu . Material and Methods: This type of research is a cross sectional study. Total population in this study is 422 convicted criminals and the number of samples is 81 convicted criminals by using simple random sampling technique. Data were analyzed by descriptive univariate and bivariate analysis, at the level of trust 95% (p <0.05). Results: Respondents assessed the appearance of food that was not good at 24.69%, the taste of food was not good at 14.81%, and the menu variation was not good at 18.51%. This means that the appearance of food, taste of food, and the variety of menus provided include good and satisfaction ratings on the giving of food including satisfaction, namely, 88.88%. Fisher's Exact test results showed that the appearance of food associated with satisfaction the food service (ρ = 0.006), the taste of food associated with satisfaction the food service (ρ = 0.000), and variety od menus associated with satisfaction the food service (ρ = 0.009). Conclusion: The better quality of the food that provided to the convicted criminals, the more satisfied also for the food service

Background: The nutrition services of inpatient with diabetes mellitus is very important because dietary management is the key to controlling blood glucose level. Ensuring the patient to consume all the food served by the hospital or reduce the plate waste may help patients to meet their nutritional needs. This study aimed to investigate plate waste of inpatient with diabetes mellitus in hospitals and its contributing factors so the quality of food service in the hospital could be enhanced.Methods: The sample of the study was 22 inpatient with diabetes mellitus at Al Islam Hospital in Bandung, Indonesia from November 2014 to February 2015. The patient's plate waste at breakfast, lunch and dinner for 2 days was weighed using an electronic scale. Patients were also interviewed to find out the reasons for wasting food.  Results: The overall mean of plate waste in this study was 13.26% of food served. Porridge was the type of food that had the highest mean percentage of plate waste (17.38%). Vegetables were the second-highest wasted food (17.05%). Loss of appetite, lack of knowledge, cold food temperature and large main plate portion were the reasons for food wastage.Conclusions: The type of food that wasted the most by inpatient with diabetes mellitus was porridge and vegetables. Improving the quality of food service and delivery as well as increasing the role of health workers to educate and encourage patients to eat while under treatment in hospitals are interventions that can be done to reduce the amount of inpatient plate waste.

ABSTRACTBackground: The quality of nutrition services can be seen through the patient's leftovers as the result of hospital food system management. High food waste could impact on increasing the risk of malnutrition in hospitalized patients.Objective: This study aimed to determine the food waste description among patients in Sidoarjo General Hospital. Method: This was a descriptive study used a cross-sectional design with a total sample of 150 patients selected by proportional sampling in each in patient room during September 2019. Data was taken using the comstock form and then translated into percent of food waste and lost of food costs.Results: The highest percentage of leftovers from hospitalized patients was found in vegetable side dishes (30.72%) and the lowest was in animal side dishes (21.81%). The higher class of inpatient room, the lower the percentage of food waste. Foods that were intact by patients were highest during dinner (38.0%). The highest loss due to costs lost from whole food came from inpatient class I which amounted to IDR 1,680,000.Conclusion: The food waste of inpatients at Sidoarjo General Hospital was still quite high. Evaluation of factors causing high food waste in inpatients can be done to reduce percent of food waste and food cost efficiency.ABSTRAK Latar Belakang: Kualitas mutu pelayanan gizi dapat dilihat melalui sisa makanan pasien hasil manajemen penyelenggaraan makanan rumah sakit. Tingginya sisa makanan dapat berdampak pada peningkatan risiko malnutrisi pada pasien rawat inap.Tujuan: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui gambaran sisa makanan pasien rawat inap di RSUD Kabupaten Sidoarjo.Metode: Penelitian deskriptif ini menggunakan desain potong lintang dengan jumlah sampel sebanyak 150 pasien dipilih secara proportional sampling di masing-masing ruangan rawat inap pada bulan September 2019. Data diambil menggunakan formulir comstock lalu diterjemahkan dalam bentuk persen sisa makanan dan foodcost yang hilang. Tingginya persentase makanan ditentukan dengan standar Depkes 2013 yaitu apabila melebihi 20%.Hasil: Persentase sisa makanan pasien rawat inap tertinggi ditemukan pada lauk nabati (30,72%) dan terendah pada lauk hewani (21,81%). Semakin tinggi kelas rawat inap, maka semakin rendah persentase sisa makanan. Makanan yang utuh atau tidak tersentuh oleh pasien paling tinggi terjadi saat makan sore (38,0%). Kerugian tertinggi akibat biaya yang hilang dari makanan utuh berasal dari rawat inap kelas I yaitu sebesar Rp. 1.680.000,00.Kesimpulan: Sisa makanan pasien rawat inap di RSUD Kabupaten Sidoarjo masih tergolong cukup tinggi. Evaluasi faktor penyebab tingginya sisa makanan pada pasien rawat inap dapat dilakukan untuk menurunkan persen sisa makanan dan efisiensi foodcost.

A cross-sectional study was conducted among mothers visiting antenatal clinic in UKMMC from 1st to 19th August 2016 to acquire opinions on unassisted childbirth and the determinant factors among mothers at a teaching hospital. Structured questionnaires were used in assessing their opinions on unassisted childbirth. A total of 259 respondents were recruited, 229 of them who met the inclusion criteria were included for analysis. Majority (87.3%) was Malay and 98.7% of respondents were more than 25 years old. The prevalence for mothers who agreed with unassisted childbirth was 6.6%. Bivariate analysis showed Malay (p=0.013) and non-working mothers (p=0.000) are the significant factors. There was no significant association between opinions on unassisted childbirth and quality of government healthcare services. Multivariate analysis showed middle income and non-working mothers were the significant factors contributing to opinions on unassisted childbirth. The outcome showed minority of mothers agreed with unassisted childbirth, middle income group and non-working mothers agreed on unassisted childbirth. Dissatisfaction to the quality of care at government healthcare services was not found to be the reason for unassisted childbirth. However, there could be other factors contributing to opinions on unassisted childbirth delivery which were not studied. Community-based study should be conducted to determine the other factors.

Background: Stunted overweight is associated with mild chronic inflammation. The state of inflammation will increase the expression of hepcidin, which affects the iron status of the body, besides the intake of protein, iron, and vitamin C.Objective: To analyze the correlation of hepcidin levels and food intake (protein, iron, vitamin C) with serum transferrin receptors (sTfR) and hemoglobin in stunted overweight adolescents.Method: The design of research was cross-sectional. The subjects were 64 adolescents stunted overweight aged 15-18 years in four high/vocational schools in the Banyumanik District, Semarang City. Measurement the level of hepcidin and sTfR was using the ELISA method and haemoglobin was using Cyanomethemoglobin method. Data on protein, iron, vitamin C intake was using the SQ-FFQ method. Bivariate analysis was using Pearson and Spearman correlation test then followed by multiple linear regression analysis.Results: The result showed that 89.1% subjects had adequate intake of protein, 54.7% subjects had low intake of vitamin C, 76.6% subjects had low intake of iron. Hepcidin levels in all subjects were 100% normal. There were 7.8% subjects with a low sTfR and 7.8% with a low haemoglobin level. Statistic test showed there was correlation between hepcidin with haemoglobin and sTfR (p1 = 0,010 r1 = -0,319, p2 = 0,001, r2 = 0,569). From food intake, only intake iron was correlated with haemoglobin but not with sTfR. There was significant difference between the mean of haemoglobin and sTfR among girls and boys. Further analysis, showed that only hepcidin was a weak negative determinant for sTfR (R2 = 0,120). The determinant factors for haemoglobin were gender (p=0,001) and hepcidin (p =0,004) with the value of R2 = 0,577.Conclusion: Hepcidin correlated with sTfR and haemoglobin while iron intake only correlated with hemoglobin.

Abstract Research on differences between public, for-profit, and nonprofit providers of welfare services has provided mixed findings, depending on welfare state arrangement, regulation, and service area. This paper’s objective is to study the differences between public, nonprofit (cooperatives and other nonprofits), and for-profit welfare providers from the perspective of the users in the tightly regulated Scandinavian context. We ask how the users perceive the providers from different sectors differently and how this variation can be explained. The study relies on a large-scale survey carried out in 2015 in the city of Oslo, Norway. From the survey, we identify the two main results. First, despite limited differences, users of nonprofit kindergartens are generally more satisfied than users of for-profit and public kindergartens. Second, an important explanation for variations in user satisfaction among kindergartens is identified in a pocket of regulatory leniency: the quality of food service. This is the only expense that varies among kindergartens in Norway. These results indicate that more lenient regulations could potentially increase provider distinctiveness. Based on the existing literature, we discuss why nonprofit providers seem to fare better in the minds of users than public and for-profit providers.

Community satisfaction measurements are intended to determine the level of community satisfaction with the services provided and provide an opportunity for the community to assess the services that have been received.The design of this study is quantitative with a Cross-Sectional approach. The study was conducted by involving 59 respondents taken by accidental sampling. The study was conducted in April until May 2019 at Wonosari Health Center, Bondowoso Regency. The measuring instrument used was a questionnaire, then bivariate analysis was performed with Spearman Rank Analysis, with a significance of p = 0.05. The results of the Spearman Rank statistical test with significance levels p <0.05. Obtained p-value 0,000 which means There is a Relationship between the Quality of Inpatient Services and the Wonosari Community Health Center Community Satisfaction Index with a correlation coefficient of 0.714. The quality of inpatient care results in an index of community satisfaction when receiving health services provided. The quality of this service can ultimately provide several benefits, including the establishment of harmonious relationships between service providers and customers, providing a good basis for creating customer loyalty and building a favorable recommendation for these service providers.

In the elderly, environmental stress and decreased cognitive function often cause depression. Depression that is not treated properly can cause an increase in the use of health facilities, a negative influence on the quality of life elderly, and can even cause death. Purpose of this research to know the relationship of cognitive function disorders with depression in the elderly at Posyandu Lansia Ikur Koto working area of the Puskesmas Ikur Koto, Padang. This type of research is correlative analytic with cross-sectional approach. Research has been conducted at posyandu lansia Ikur Koto in February 2019. The samples in this research was elderly who were recorded at the posyandu lansia Ikur Koto there were 51 elderly. Data analysis univariate presented in the form of a frequency distribution table and bivariate analysis using the spearman test using the SPSS program. Result of the 51 respondents, the majority of age was 60-74 years old (70,6%), the highest sex were women (94,1%), the highest education was elementary school (56,9%) ), the most marital status was married (52,9%), the highest health status (58,8%) did not suffer chronic diseases and most medical history does not use drugs (98%),most (72,5%) did not experiencing depression, most (37,3%) had mild cognitive function disorders and there were relationship between cognitive function disorders and depression in the elderly with a value p=0,007<0,05 and r=-0,373. Conclusion is there were significant relationship between cognitive function disorders and depression in the elderly at Posyandu Lansia Ikur Koto working area of the Puskesmas Ikur Koto, Padang.
