One way to increase students' learning interest is by using learning strategies. An interesting strategy will certainly influence learning process in order to produce quality learning, especially in science learning. Of the various types of strategies, researcher employs the Inquiry Mind Want to Know strategy in class IV B science learning at MI, Ma’arif Bego Yogyakarta. The study aims to determine the implementation, both the advantages and disadvantages factors, of the Inquiry Mind Want to Know Strategy in class IV B science learning at MI Ma’arif Bego Yogyakarta.The study uses a descriptive qualitative approach using the case study method. The data are collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The analysis techniques applied are data collection, data reduction, data presentation and conclusions. Finally, the data are validated using the triangulation technique.The results of the study show that there are several ways of implementing the Inquiry Mind Want to Know Strategy in science learning i.e. implementation based on the steps of the Inquiry Mind Want to Know strategy, combining the Mind Want to Know strategy with contextual teaching and learning (CTL), and using practicing learning. The disadvantage in the strategy is inadequate time for students. Whereas the advantages of the strategy are that the students can be active and have enjoyable learning. The impacts of the Inquiry Mind Want to Know strategy on science learning are the students become more active and full of curiosity in the learning process and they can develop their skills and attitudes. Furthermore, using the strategy, the teachers have more understanding on their students.

The population of he research was Elementary School students in Simpang Haru Kota Padang. By using:luster Random Sampling, the students in class IV B were chosen as the experimental' group and those in class IV A were taken as the control one. The data were obtained:hrough interview and observation. The data collected then were analyzed by usingWilcoxon Signed Ranks Test and Kolmogorov Smirnov 2 Independent Samples.Based on the results of the research, it is figured out that: (1) the aggressiveness of.he students in the experimental class taught by using Role Playing approach in pretest fiffers from that in posttest, (2) the aggressiveness of the students in the control class taught by using conventional approach in pretest does not differ from that in posttest, and'.3) the aggressiveness of the students in the experimental class taught by using RolePlaying approach differs from that of students in the control class taught by using:onventional approach. In general, it is revealed that the aggressiveness of the students rior to the implementation of Role Playing approach was negative, but it becomes positive fter that approach is applied. This article aimed to reveal the teaching-learning process of how to read and write the Qur'an with the Al-Barqy method to Faculty of Teacher Training and Education students at Sriwjaya University. The research method used qualitative method. The data collection was takenfrom observation, interviews, and documentation. The respondents consisted of students and lecturers of Islamic Education. This research focusedon the learning process of how to read and write the Al-Qur'an using the Al-Barqy method? What are the advantages and disadvantages used in the Al-Barqy method? The information obtained was analyzed with interactive analysis through several components, namely data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. Then the data from the observation and documentation were adjusted. This teaching-learning process only emphasized on the ability to read and write the Qur'an in Faculty of Teacher Training and Education students at Sriwijaya University. The result of this research of the teaching-learning process to read and write Al-Qur'an with the al-barqy method made students learn the Qur'an quicker and easiercompared to other methods. This method used easier steps and a fun process. And there were several advantages, namely: Used a short period of time which was up to 8 hours and for adults was only up to 200 minutes to read the Qur’an,can be used for all ages both children and adults. While the drawbacks of this method include: This method was called the 8-hour method meaning that the learning time was relatively short and if it was for children's education then we must pay attention to their conditions both endurance and their memories, the understandings of hijaiyah letters was not very deep.

The process and student learning outcomes in science learning material properties of light is a problem faced by class IV SD Negeri 3 Mengwi. Student activity and learning outcomes have not been maximized because the teacher delivered science learning materials using the lecture method. This is the background of the researchers to conduct research with the aim of improving the process and learning outcomes of science with material properties of light with learning models Contextual Teaching and Learning. This research is a type of classroom action research conducted in SD Negeri 3 Mengwi. The subjects of this study were fourth grade students, amounting to 27 students consisting of 14 female students and 13 male students. The implementation of this study used 2 cycles. Instruments used to collect data are observation sheets, interviews, documentation and test questions. The results of this study indicate that science learning outcomes with material properties of light using the Contextual Teaching and Learning model in SD Negeri 3 Mengwi have increased in two cycles with quite satisfactory values. There was an increase in learning outcomes from cycle 1 an average value of 68.51 to 75.37 in cycle 2. In addition, there was an increase in the learning process of students in science learning carried out by teachers using the Contextual Teaching and Learning model. In the process of learning teaching the most important aspects of it is classroom management. Classroom management must be mastered by teachers in a theoretical and practical way. Teachers should understand how to organize and utilize all the facilities and infrastructure in the learning process to learn effectively and in fun. Sitting formation Setup is one of the most enjoyable and effective class management components because it can involve all students and teachers more able to know and understand the ability of pupils with all the advantages and disadvantages. Various seating models with all advantages and disadvantages can be tested to maximize the utilization of school facilities and infrastructure and motivate students in the teaching and learning process.

In the implementation of learning activities that occur at SD Plus Pesantren Al-Anwar, problems when implementing learning activities, among others, are the media used are not supportive, teachers use learning resources in the form of books and have not used certain learning media. This is the cause of students tend to be passive in learning activities. When learning theme 3 sub-theme 2 learning 2 in class IV the teacher uses image media in teaching and learning activities, making students less understanding of the material. As a result, students are less interested in teaching and learning activities. This research was conducted in class IV, which consisted of 20 students. In the development research that has been carried out, it is expected to be able to provide a good influence for students, the Fun Thinkers book media is to foster student learning activities and achievements and must use media that can foster student interest in learning so that they are enthusiastic in undergoing the learning process. Research using the ADDIE model which passes through 5 stages.

The purpose  of this activity is for increasing  students interest  in learning  at MI Nasrul  Ulum Klagensrampat. This activity uses a learning  method in conveying material  to students.By applying this method the writer hopes that the learning process can be achieved properly. Therefore, it is very important for educators  to recognize several kinds of learning  methods so that students feel happy and comfortable when learning takes place. The writing of this work were supported by the researcher’s activity after doing identification  and communication with the teacher,  so that the researchers and the teacher  were able to find out the obstacles faced by the students in teaching and learning  activity which has been done. In this activity, the researcher applied various methods of effective and innovative teaching which were able to increase students learning interest. The learning methods are puzzle method, flashcard method, silent way method, make a match method, snowball method, bamboo method, and monopoly method

Practical learning which is generally carried out in the laboratory is one of the important lessons in the science learning process, especially chemistry. The Covid-19 pandemic has caused practical learning activities to not be accommodated in real laboratories. This situation encourages the creation of practical learning innovations, namely the use of virtual labs. In this study, students' learning interest in the use of virtual labs is described which is integrated with the use of e-modules on colloidal material. Based on the results of data analysis, 74.55% of students were interested in using the virtual lab, 10.90% very interested, 12.73% quite interested, and 1.82% lack of interested. These data indicate that the majority of students can make good use of the virtual lab and are able to optimally elaborate on the learning process. However, virtual labs are not intended to replace real laboratories but can be used as supplements and media to support learning in real laboratories.

This study aims to improve students' speaking skills in science learning through time token models in fifth grade students of SDN 43 / IV Jambi City. This research is a classroom action research (CAR) consisting of two cycles, where the data taken is in the form of observation data through observation sheets of students' speaking skills and observation sheets of teacher activities. This research was conducted in 4 stages: planning, implementing, observing and reflecting. During the teaching and learning process learning activities apply the time token learning model. The results of this study indicate the application of the time token model can improve students' speaking skills in natural science subjects. Based on the observation sheet the students' speaking skills showed an increase, with the results of the percentage of students speaking skills by 45% with a fairly good category in the first cycle and 68% with a good category in the second cycle. Based on the findings of the research, it can be concluded that the speaking skills of science learning students in fifth grade students of SDN 43 / IV Jambi City can be improved after applying the time token model.

<p>Writing is one of the English skills. Teaching writing is a process to improve students' ability to write in English correctly. Descriptive text is text used to describe a person, place or object. The difficulty experienced in teaching writing through descriptive text is the lack of attention of students towards the explanation given by the teacher. To overcome this, researchers applied VARK learning style to teaching writing. VARK learning style is a learning style using all five senses to get information or knowledge in the teaching and learning process. This study aims to explain the application of VARK learning style in teaching writing through descriptive text. The procedures for applying VARK learning style in teaching writing through descriptive text are: (1) The teacher explains the meaning, patterns and characteristics of descriptive text languages, (2) The teacher asks students to make small groups, (3) The teacher gives examples of descriptive texts, ( 4) The teacher gives questions in the form of pictures to students and asks to make descriptive texts, (5) The teacher asks students to show the results of students' work in front of the class. Based on this research, it can be seen that the advantages of VARK learning style is that it can increase student learning interest, student enthusiasm and reciprocity between teacher and students.</p>

This study was conducted as an attempt to investigate in what step of scientific approach theteachers most frequently use translation in English Language Teaching as well as to find out the teachers’reasons toward the use of translation in English Language Teaching based on scientific approach atSMP Negeri 4 Singaraja and SMP Negeri 5 Singaraja. It was conducted in qualitative research design.There were two teachers chosen as the subjects of study. The data were collected through audio recordingthe teaching and learning process and interviewing the subjects of study, while the techniques ofanalyzing data were done descriptively following the four processes according to the theory of Miles &Huberman (1984), namely: data collection, data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. Theresults of analysis indicated that the teachers most frequently used translation in exploring step of scientificapproach. In addition, there were seven teachers’ reasons found in relation to the use of translationin the classroom, namely to help the students’ difficulty in: (1) understanding the instruction given bythe teacher, (2) understanding the English vocabulary, (3) asking something in English, (4) understandingthe tenses or grammar, (5) understanding the material deeply, (6) doing the task, and (7) presentingtheir work. The related parties interested in the same area of the research should give deeper concern indoing wider range of aspects involved in further study.Keywords : Translation, the Use of L1 in ELT, Scientific Approach
