This kind of attitude among the university students stems out of laziness and lack of prioritization in their academic endeavor. Research says that 95% of American students purposely delay beginning or completing tasks and 70% engaged in academic procrastination. It is not impossible that Filipinos are actually expert in procrastination. In other words, procrastination largely accounts for the relationship of conscientiousness to performance, and that procrastination is strongly associated with distractibility, poor organization, low achievement motivation, and an intention-action gap. If one is not conscientious in his performance he will likely engage in procrastination. Additionally, agreeableness and sensation seeking traits generated low correlations with procrastination. One possible way to decrease procrastination for tasks is to increase expectancy of success, or self- efficacy by verbal persuasion, emotional arousal, and modeling. Despite of the advances in the education nowadays, and the challenging tasks that students faced day by day to cope up with the requirements of their respective courses, they are still in the realm of seemingly taking their studies for granted that as if it’s easy or simply put, procrastinating! In connection, it sought to answer this question: Is there a relationship between procrastination to the academic performance in GEC 104 (Mathematics in the Modern World) of the 2nd year students of the College of Education at Mindanao State University-Sulu?

Introduction. In the conditions of modern Russian education, the emphasis is shifted to the ability of students to carry out non-standard professional duties and to work independently. All this leads to an increase in the number of studies to identify thinking styles in the student age.The aim of the current publication is to present the results of an empirical study focusing on identification of the relationship of thinking styles and academic performance among the students of Astrakhan State University.Methodology and research methods. In order to achieve the aim, the authors used the following research methods: Methods of Thinking Style (by A. K. Belousova), Learning Styles Questionnaire (by P. Honey, A. Mumford), Implicit Theories and Learning Goals Questionnaire (by C. Dweck), Scale of Academic Motivation (by T. O. Gordeeva, O. A. Sychev, E. N. Osin). To process the data, mathematical-statistical methods were employed: the One-Sample Kolmogorov-Smirnov Test, the Independent Samples t Test (Student Test), the Mann-Whitney U Test, the Pearson’s Correlation Coefficient, the Spearman’s Rank Correlation Coefficient. All calculations were performed using the IBM SPSS Statistics 21 computer program.Results. In the course of empirical study, 82 students of five faculties of Astrakhan State University (40 boys and 42 girls aged 20 to 23 years old) were involved. As a result of empirical research, it was revealed that an initiative style of thinking with the variable “enriched personality” has a positive correlation, and critical thinking has a positive correlation with the variable “introjected motivation” and “external motivation”. Managerial and practical thinking styles positively correlate with the variables “achievement motivation”, “growing in telligence”, “enriched personality”, “cognitive motivation”, “adoption of learning goals”.Scientific novelty. The tendency to a reliable connection of thinking styles and academic performance was revealed. A positive correlation between managerial, practical thinking styles and cognitive motivation, achievement motivation is found out. Students with proactive, practical, managerial thinking styles have an above-average academic performance.Practical significance. The materials of the publication are of practical importance for teachers and students, as the study of the stylistic peculiarities of the individuality of students directly contributes to the effectiveness of the process of skills and knowledge development.

The purpose of this study is to determine: the implementation of remuneration based performance in sharia state university in Indonesia (IAIN-Institut Agama Islam Negeri). This study aims to determine the influence of remuneration, job satisfaction, achievement motivation, and organizational culture on employee performance. Research method used in this study using a survey within the university staff. The multiple regression results indicate that remuneration, job satisfaction, achievement motivation, and organizational culture has a significant positive contribution to the performance of employees.

Abstract Objective – This research project explored Native American students’ perceptions of the Edmon Low Library at Oklahoma State University (OSU). The study sought to understand how Native American students perceived the role of the academic library in their lives, and which elements of the library students depicted and described as holding meaning for them. Methods – Photo-elicitation, a form of visual research and a participatory research method, was the primary method chosen to explore students’ perceptions of the library. To qualify for this study, students self-identified as Native American and as frequent library users. They also had completed three or more semesters of study at OSU. Five students followed a photo prompt for taking at least fifteen pictures of the library, then participated in two separate interviews with the primary researcher. Participants also completed a demographic/questionnaire form, answered semi-structured questions, and ranked the photos they took. Results – This study produced several emergent findings. First, students expressed uncertainty about the library’s books. Second, functional library tools such as express printers and library signage played a valuable role for facilitating student work. Third, the method of photo-elicitation was enjoyable for students and served as library discovery. Fourth, Native American resources and exhibits in the library had varied salience for students. Conclusion – Limited research focuses on Native American students in academic libraries, particularly on how students use and experience the library. Exploring how individual students who identify as Native American perceive the university library enhanced our understanding of how libraries in Predominantly White Institutions (PWIs) can best serve and support students. This study provided insight into the method of photo-elicitation interviews. This research also provided practical benefits for student participants through increased library knowledge.

This study aims to gain an understanding of empirical data on the relationship of Tahfidzul Qur’an Program and Motivation, either individually or together with PKD Student Academic Achievement and PKP University Juanda Bogor. The research hypothesis is that (1) There is a strong and significant influence Tahfidzul Program Student Academic Achievement Qur’an against PKD and PKP University Juanda Bogor (2) There is a strong and significant influence on Academic Achievement Motivation and PKP University Students PKD Juanda Bogor. (3) There is the influence of Tahfidzul Qur’an Program and motivation to learn to academic Student Achievement. In this study, the authors used the survey method with the correlational approach that is implemented in the University Student Juanda Bogor involving PKD and PFM. The data collection is done through observation, interviews, questionnaires, and documentary studies. Data analysis is used correlation analysis with formula product-moment correlation technique. This article concludes that the Tahfidzul Qur’an program contributes positively to student motivation and academic achievement. For this reason, the Tahfidzul Qur’an program is very good to be continued and improved in its implementation.

The issues of career planning and building up, employment and graduates’ adaptation remain relevant and require new approaches to solving the problems of professional identity and formation in the modern world of labour and occupations. The graduates have difficulties in searching for a suitable job in their degree field mostly due to the lack of work experience. On the other hand, young people have great potential. They are quick to study, mobile; able to adapt to new situations and sensible in their approach to labour supplies. The task of a career advisor is to help young people to professionally identify themselves and acquaint them with modern theories of career building and employer requirements. The percent of employed graduates is established on the basis of statistical research and data processing. These are the data obtained in the course of graduates’ career monitoring. The main method of collecting data to study graduates’ employment is the method of dynamic and comparative monitoring. The subject of the research is the data obtained in the course of monitoring analysis. The purpose of the paper is to introduce the experience in developing student job-hunting skills, business career development and management in Nizhnevartovsk State University. The author introduces a modern vision of professional identity process based on psychological and sociological theories. The paper is grounded on the graduate employment studies and provides recommendations, forms and methods of interaction with students to assist successful graduate employment in their degree field

The article reflects the results of a two-year study of educational and physical activity of university students. The article deals with the concept of activity, its types - physical and intellectual activity of students, approaches to indicators of physical activity, on the basis of which the components of physical activity are identified; it presents national and foreign studies of the relationship of types of activity. The article demonstrates the results of investigating the relationships between the manifestations of the types of activity of students and athletes studying at the university. The most significant relationships are found between the regulatory component and the result of educational activity; the potential of educational activity and the operational component of physical activity. Analysis of the relationships allows to make a conclusion that academic performance has links with most components of educational activity in both groups. The revealed connections between the components of physical and educational activiies are specific for athletes and students in terms of their number, orientation and strength.

Background. Entwistle Students’ Approaches to Learning framework and Kolb’s Experiential Learning Model has been widely used in higher education. Different inventories have been developed in order to adapt to different contexts and / or to supersede reported weakness. Aims. This paper aims to explore the profiles and approaches showed by a sample of Spanish accounting students as well as the relationship of those profiles with the academic performance. Instrument and Sample. The instrument consists of both the short version of the Study Process Questionnaire (SPQ; Fox et al, 2001) and the Problem Solving Style Questionnaire (PSSQ, Romero et al, 1992). The sample is composed by the students enrolled in advanced financial accounting and financial statement analysis at the University of Sevilla.

Introduction: Student motivation plays a vital role in how well they perform academically. It is particularly important in dental students due to intense studies and tiring clinical duties. Research has been done to find out the relationship of qualitative and quantitative motivation with academic performance, but with contradictory results.Objective: To find the correlation between the strength of motivation and academic performance among dental students of the University College of Medicine and Dentistry (UCMD).Method: A correlational research design was applied. The strength of motivation was calculated using the SMMS-R questionnaire. The questionnaire was sent on WhatsApp to the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and final year students. One hundred and forty-four responses were recorded. Out of these, 4 students did not allow to access their results, thus they were excluded from the study. For the rest of the 140 students, their academic scores of Combined Block Assessment 1 (CBA-1) were provided by the administration department. Data analysis was done using the SPSS 25.Results: Strength of motivation and academic performance showed a positive relationship; Pearson’s correlation coefficient (r) was 0.6 with a p-value of 0.01. With an increase in strength of motivation, the academic performance also increased.Conclusion: A positive relationship was found between the students’ strength of motivation and their academic performance as calculated by the SMMS-R questionnaire.
