Analysis of new student registration based on data, that new students of FPMIPA IKIP PGRI Jember in many registration forms dropped first choice in biology education study program and second choice in other faculties, based on that matter is an evaluation material that must be done by FPMIPA whether students new students who choose biology education study programs also have good basic math skills with the aim of improving the quality of new student admissions at FPMIPA, so it needs to be analyzed about the basic mathematical abilities possessed by new students who are in FPMIPA Especially new students of biology education study programs. The formulation of the problem in this case, is how to analyze the basic abilities of mathematics to improve the quality of new students of FPMIPA, with the aim is to find out the results of the analysis of the basic mathematical abilities of new students of FPMIPA  to improve the quality of FPMIPA new student admissions each year. Descriptive qualitative research design with 6 research subjects, the results of the study that the structure of solving mathematical problems that are owned by new students of biology education study programs, 4 subjects have basic mathematical abilities. The study concludes that new students of FPMIPA who have an interest in choosing biology education study programs also have basic mathematical abilities, which is an effort to improve the quality of new student admissions at FPMIPA.

This study aims to determine the promotion strategy on the admission of new students at the university. Universities need appropriate promotion strategies to increase the number of new students enrolled in subsequent years and to fulfill the equal distribution of new students in each region and study programs at the University. Classification of new student data reception at the Indo Global Mandiri University (IGM University) in 2018/2019 uses the CRISP-DM data mining application (the Cross-Industry Standard Process for Data Mining) using the K-Means grouping method. Research data using primary and secondary data. The population and sample of the study were 1011 students using 4 (four) attributes in this study, namely the name of the student, the area of origin, the study program, and the promotion strategy (direct visit, word of mouth, media, brochures, and coming directly). This test is carried out with the Waikato Environment for Knowledge Analysis (WEKA) 3.8 tool. The results of this study indicate that the direct visit strategy is the most appropriate in the admission of new students at IGM University, amounting to 492 students with 26%, with this strategy being able to absorb many new student candidates from various regions including Palembang, Regency / City, and regions in outside South Sumatra, there is also equality in various study programs at IGM University. Word of mouth promotion strategies and media are optimized to be included in the promotion team in determining the promotion strategies in the following year to increase the number of new student admissions.

This study aims to identify the quality of lecturers in carrying out the functions of the Tri Dharma of Higher Education, assess the relevance of the academic quality of lecturers in carrying out the teaching and learning process with students, and reveal the level of involvement or participation of the academic components of lecturers in study programs related to culture. academic and its urgency for the development of PAI and PBA FTIK IAIN Pekalongan study programs. This research is a descriptive participatory action research. The object of this research is the academic community in the Arabic Language Education and Islamic Religious Education study program IAIN Pekalongan. This research is also a qualitative research, with data analysis techniques using data reduction, data display, and data verification or inference. The results of this study found that the quality of the performance of the lecturers of the Islamic Religious Education Study Program and Arabic Language Education based on the Lecturer Performance Index (IKD) of the Quality Assurance Institute (LPM) of IAIN Pekalongan is very feasible and good. The relationship between lecturer performance and the formation of academic culture in the Islamic Religious Education Study Program and Arabic Language Education is interrelated and has a positive relevance between the two. The highest obstacle in building an academic culture in the Islamic Religious Education Study Program and Arabic Language Education FTIK IAIN Pekalongan is that lecturers in carrying out lectures do not match the number of meetings that should be held by lecturers, and there needs to be a special increase in terms of initiatives (initiative).

Abstract Online learning is currently being implemented in Indonesia because of the impact of Covid-19. This research is to describe the motivation to learn mathematics education students ini online learning during the Covid-19 pandemic. This research is a descriptive qualitative research. The subjects in this research is students in the 6th and 7th semesters of the mathematics education study program at Singaperbangsa Karawang University (UNSIKA) with 32 samples taken randomly. The instrument in this research used data in the form of a questionnaire  given online via Google Form and the results of interviews. The data analysis technique in this study was to interpret the presents of each of the 7 indicators of learning motivation according to Uno and to conduct interviews with selected research subjects related to online learning. The result of this research is that the 6th and 7th semesters of mathematics education students of UNSIKA have a high motivation to learn by obtaining a percentage of 88%. This means that even in the conditions of the Covid-19 pandemic and the implementation of online learning, it does not affect the motivation of students of mathematics education study programs to study actively.   Keywords: Motivation to learn, Online Learning, Mathematics Education   Abstrak Pembelajaran daring saat ini tengah diberlakukan di Indonesia karena dampak dari Covid-19. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mendeskripsikan bagaimana motivasi belajar daring mahasiswa pendidikan matematika selama pandemi Covid-19. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif deskriptif. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa semester 6 dan semester 7 pada program studi pendidikan matematika di Universitas Singaperbangsa Karawang (UNSIKA) dengan sampel diambil secara acak berjumlah 32 orang. Instrumen dalam penelitian ini menggunakan data berupa kuesioner atau angket yang diberikan secara online melalui Google Form dan hasil wawancara. Teknik analasis data dalam penelitian ini dengan menginterpretasikan presentse dari setiap 7 indikator motivasi belajar menurut Uno dan dilakukan wawancara kepada subjek penelitian yang terpilih terkait pembelajaran  daring. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa pendidikan matematika UNSIKA semester 6 dan semester 7 dominan memilliki motivasi belajar yang tinggi dengan memperoleh presentase sebesar 87,93%. Ini artinya, meskipun dalam kondisi pandemi Covid-19 dan sedang diberlakukannya pembelajaran daring tidak mempengaruhi motivasi mahasiswa program studi pendidikan matematika untuk giat dalam belajar. Purpose of the study: This study aims to determine the differences in the mastery of science process skills in experiment group students and control group students in basic physics practicum I in equilibrium material in physics education and biology education study programs. And to find out the description of the mastery of science process skills in the experiment and control group students in biology and physics education study programs. Methodology: This research is a quantitative research type quasy experiment with a static group comparison design. To determine the experiment class and the control class, both classes will be given a pre-test first. In the comparison group, researchers did not randomly select two groups to be given treatment with a posttest without a pre-test. The results of the mastery of students' science process skills will be analyzed by descriptive statistics and inferential statistics. Main Findings: The results of this study show that there are differences in the mastery of science process skills between students using Science Process Skills-based practicum guide books inquiry models with students who use conventional practicum guidebooks in each study program. Based on statistical parameters, SPS mastery in the experiment class is better than in the control class. Applications of this study: This research can be used as input for the Physics Education Study Program at the Universitas Jambi to consider the use of SPS-based practicum guides. Novelty/Originality of this study: The novelty of this study aims to know the description and assessment of the mastery of SPS in the experiment group students and the control group students in the basic physics practicum in equilibrium material in biology education and physics education study programs in the use of science process skills-based practicum guides with inquiry models.

This research aims to determine the effect of the Self Directed Learning (SDL) model on improving the quality of plant physiology lectures in the Biology Education Study Program STKIP Riama Medan. The populations are students of Biology Education Study Program TA. 2013/2014 which is 20 people. The sample of the research were all members of the population in this research. The method used in this research is descriptive method with purposive sampling technique. Based on the results of the study, it is known that students have applied the Self Directed Learning (SDL) learning model with high (63%). Learning evaluation results also increased by 15% from 60% to 75%. Self Directed Learning (SDL) model is very influential on improving the quality of Plant Physiology lectures in Biology Education Study Program STKIP Riama Medan.

This research is motivated by efforts to improve the quality of graduates of the Biology Education Departement in the management and implementation of practicum in schools. The purpose of this research is to describe the ability of PBL alumni teachers in managing and implementing practicum. The method used is descriptive qualitative and quantitative which provides a careful description of the alumni's ability to manage and carry out practicum. The steps of data collection were questionnaires, observations and documentation studies. The technique used to analyze the data is a descriptive technique with percentages. The results of the study on the ability of the alumni of the Biology Education Study Program in managing practicum showed the following: (1) The planning of the laboratory work program (53.33%) was declared good; (2) Laboratory organization was stated to be very good (33.33%) (3) The implementation of the laboratory work program (46.66%) was stated to be very good; and (4) the supervision and evaluation of the laboratory work program (26.66%) was stated to be very good. While the ability of alumni teachers in carrying out practicum is in the good category (75.3%). Teachers play an important role in the management and implementation of effective practicum

Twenty-first century learning requires high-level thinking skills including critical thinking, communication, collaboration, and creativity known as the 4Cs. The purpose of this study was to determine the ability of the lecturers of the Biology Education Study Program at UIN Alauddin Makassar in making Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) questions and to find out the responses of the lecturers of the Biology Education Study Program at UIN Alauddin Makassar on the importance of developing HOTS questions. This research is a quantitative descriptive research. This research was carried out in the odd semester of the 2019/2020 Academic Year with the research subjects of all lecturers of the Biology Education Study Program at UIN Alauddin Makassar who have educational backgrounds according to the study program as many as 12 people. Data collection techniques through question documentation and questionnaires. Data were analyzed by descriptive statistics. The results showed that Lecturers of the Biology Education Study Program were able to make higher order thinking questions (HOTS) with a percentage of 33% Very Able, 8% Able, and 17% Enough, while the remaining 42% with the criteria of Poor. As many as 85% of the Lecturers of the Biology Education Study Program at UIN Alauddin Makassar gave a positive response to 74% of items stating the importance of making higher order thinking questions (HOTS). Suggestions from this study was that Biology Education lecturers can innovate HOTS-based educational evaluations.

Pademi Covid-19 has disturbed the learning process in a face-to-face manner. Therefore online learning solutions need to be sought as an answer to these problems. The aim of the study was to obtain an overview of the implementation of online learning in the Biology Education Study Program of the Teaching and Education Faculty (FKIP) of Jambi University as an effort to suppress the spread of covid-19 in the campus environment. Research subjects were students of Biology Education Study Program. Data collected by telephone interview. Data analysis was performed using the interactive analysis technique of Miles & Huberman. The results showed that: (1) students already have the basic facilities needed to take part in online learning; (2) online learning has flexibility in its implementation and is able to encourage the emergence of learning independence and motivation to be more active in learning; and (3) distance learning encourages the emergence of social distancing behavior and minimizes the emergence of student crowds so that it is deemed able to reduce the potential for the spread of Covid-19 in the campus environment. Abstrak. Pademi covid-19 telah mengganggu proses pembelajaran secara konvensional. Maka diperlukan solusi untuk menjawab permasalahan tersebut. Pembelajaran secara daring adalah salah satu alternatif yang dapat mengatasi masalah tersebut. Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk memperoleh gambaran pelaksanaan pembelajaran daring di Prodi Pendidikan Biologi FKIP Universitas Jambi sebagai upaya menekan penyebaran covid-19 di Perguruan Tinggi. Subjek penelitian adalah mahasiswa Prodi Pendidikan Biologi. Data dikumpulkan dengan wawancara melalui zoom cloud meeting. Analisis data dilakukan menggunakan teknik analisis interaktif Miles & Huberman. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) mahasiswa telah memiliki fasilitas-fasilitas dasar yang dibutuhkan untuk mengikuti pembelajaran daring; (2) pembelajaran daring memiliki fleksibilitas dalam pelaksanaannya dan mampu mendorong munculnya kemandirian belajar dan motivasi untuk lebih aktif dalam belajar; dan (3) pembelajaran jarak jauh mendorong munculnya perilaku social distancing dan meminimalisir munculnya keramaian mahasiswa sehingga dianggap dapat mengurangi potensi penyebaran Covid-19 di lingkungan kampus. Lemahnya pengawasan terhadap mahasiswa, kurang kuatnya sinyal di daerah pelosok, dan mahalnya biaya kuota adalah tantangan tersendiri dalam pembelajaran daring.

The skills to construct and interpret graphs are a form of science skills and are an important component in learning physics. The purpose of this study was to describe the ability of undergraduate physics education students to construct graphs based on practicum data and interpret them. Data obtained through respondent answer sheets, thinking-aloud recordings, and interviews. The research was conducted at the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP) Untad and the research subjects of the Physics Education Study Program students were 6 people obtained based on the values of Basic Physics I and Basic Physics practicum II then divided into three groups of levels (high, medium, and low) with each category as many as 2 people. The results of this study indicate: 1) in general, respondents in the high, medium, and low categories can construct graphs but are not based on the prerequisite ability to construct graphs, especially in determining the x-axis and y-axis variables, 2) on the ability to interpret graphs, respondents can interpret graphs the relationship between variables on the graph but not supported by an explanation or evaluation based on proper physics concepts, 3) The strategy used by respondents in constructing graphs, in general, is to convert data in decimal form or scientific notation and 4) The difficulties experienced by respondents when constructing graphs are converting data, determining the scale and how to determine the variables on each graph axis.

This study aims to determine learning outcomes and the scientific attitudes of students at physics education study programs using virtual lab. This type of research is quantitative research. It uses descriptive statistical analysis and inferential stattistics to illustrate data learning outcomes and the scientific attitudes of students at physics education study Universitas Flores using the virtual lab. Data collection techniques used in this study were test for learning outcomes and observatory techniques for the scientific attitude. From the results of descriptive analysis for learning outcomes, it shows that the average is 75,05 in the enough category. The results of inferential statistics show t count is 2,770, sig(2-tailed) 0,011. Because the sig(2-tailed) value of 0,011 is smaller than 0,05, thus it can be concluded that use of the virtual lab influences the learning outcomes. For the scientific attitudes it shows that the average is 76,14 in the enough category. The results of inferential statistics show t count is 3,875, sig(2-tailed) 0,001. Because the sig(2-tailed) value of 0,001 is smaller than 0,05, thus it can be concluded that use of the virtual lab influences the scientific attitudes of students at physics education study Universitas Flores.Keywords: Virtual Lab, Learning Outcomes, Scientific AttitudePenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hasil belajar dan sikap ilmiah mahasiswa program studi pendidikan fisika Universitas Flores dengan menggunakan virtual laboratorium. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif , dengan analisis statistik deskfiptif dan statistik inferensial untuk menggambarkan hasil belajar dan sikap ilmiah mahasiswa program studi pendidikan fisika Universitas Flores menggunakan Virtual Laboratorium. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah instrumen tes untuk mengukur hasil belajar serta lembar observasi untuk mengukur sikap ilmiah mahasiswa program studi pendidikan fisika. Dari hasil analisis deskriptif untuk hasil belajar menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata hasil belajar mahasiswa adalah 75,05 dalam kategori cukup, sedangkan hasil statistik inferensial menunjukkan nilai t hitung 2,770, sig(2-tailed) 0,011. Karena nilai sig(2-tailed) 0,011 lebih kecil dari 0,05 hal ini menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan virtual laboratorium berpengaruh terhadap hasil belajar fisika mahasiswa program studi pendidikan fisika Universitas Flores. Untuk sikap ilmiah berdasarkan analisis deskriptif menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata 76,14 dalam kategori cukup, sedangkan hasil statistik inferensial menunjukkan nilai t hitung 3,875, sig(2-tailed) 0,001.
