Abstract: Multiple Micro Nutrient (MMN), Moringa Oleifera, Hemoglobin. Pregnant women are one of the vulnerable groups that may have anemia because hemodelusi events that occur during pregnancy. Multiple Micro Nutrient (MMN) is a supplement that contains multivitamins, iron and folate were given to pregnant women as one of the programs of the Ministry of Health of Indonesia in its efforts to prevent anemia during pregnancy. A survey found that 70% of pregnant women do not like the taste of Multiple Micro Nutrient (MMN) and in addition also the mother complain nausea, dizziness, palpitations, shortness of breath so hot and these supplements are not consumed and not consumed until exhausted if 120 tablets, See the above phenomenon it is necessary to alternative solutions, such as by utilizing vegetables such as Moringa oleifera. Iron content in 100 gr dry leave Moringa oleifera is 28,2 mg. The purpose of this study was to prove that no difference between the influence of Multiple Micro Nutrient (MMN) and Moringa oleifera against hemoglobin levels of pregnant rats. Experiment laboratory study design was a randomized design with a pre-post test with a control group. The population is the first day of the pregnant rats, large samples of 24 rats. Twenty-four pregnant rats were randomly divided into 3 groups. Statistical analysis using Independent T-test. Significant value in this study was p <0.05. The results Independent T-test showed that Moringa oleifera has the same effect with Multiple Micro Nutrient in preventing a decline in hemoglobin levels in pregnant rats (P = 0,537).

Anemia during pregnancy is one of the most common disorders in pregnant women in Indonesia. Rosella (Hibiscus sabdariffa) is considered able to increase the hemoglobin levels in pregnant mothers. To analyze the effect of Rosella flower on the increase of Hemoglobin level in pregnant women receiving Fe tablet. This study was a quasi-experiment with a pretest-posttest control group design. 32 participants were selected using accidental sampling, which assigned in the experiment and control group. All samples were pregnant women in the third trimester and receiving iron tablets. Independent t-test and paired t-test were used for data analysis. The result indicated that there was an increase in hemoglobin levels in both the experiment and the control group. The mean increase of hemoglobin levels in the control group was 0.59gr and in the experiment group was 1.11. The hemoglobin levels in the experiment group were higher than the levels in the control group. Independent t-test obtained a p-value of 0.241 indicating that there wasn’t a significant mean difference of hemoglobin levels between the control group and the treatment group. The consumption of rosella combined with Fe tablet showed a significant increase of hemoglobin levels compared to pregnant women. Therefore, it is suggested for midwives to use the result of this research as evidence-practice through counseling for pregnant mothers about the utilization of rosella that can increase hemoglobin levels in pregnant.

Pregnancy-induced hypertension is a high-risk affecting almost all the vessels, particularly those of uterus, kidney, placental bed and brain result in the symptoms called Vascular Symptoms. Thus, it, directly and indirectly, have an effect on the physical and psychological QOL of pregnant women. The aim of this study was to assess the effect of Vascular Symptom Management Package (VSMP) on the Quality of Life (QOL) of pregnant women with PIH. A quantitative approach with the true experimental design was adopted. One hundred twenty women with PIH were selected for study by using a purposive sampling technique. Subjects were randomly assigned to an experimental and control group by using Sequentially Numbered, Opaque Sealed Envelops (SNOSE) (60 in Experimental group & 60 in Control group). The data analyzed by using descriptive and inferential statistics.  Paired 't' test used to compare the pre-test and post-test QOL scores within the group. The inferential statistics results revealed that the post-test QOL score is decreased in the control group and increased in the experimental group significantly. Independent sample ‘t’ test used to compare the pre and post-test QOL scores between experimental and control groups. The mean post-QOL score of the experimental group was higher than that of the mean post QOL score of the control group. This shows a significant increase in the QOL score in the experimental group. Hence it can be interpreted that VSMP is effective in improving the QOL. PIH is a life-threatening condition. The findings of this study show the effectiveness of VSMP improves the QOL. So VSMP is a nurse-led intervention that can be implemented to effectively reduce the vascular symptoms and improve the QOL of pregnant women with PIH.
