With the COVID pandemic impacting our current business networks, discussing spirituality in the workplace has become the forefront of how we do business. The need for human connectivity in current times plays an even more significant role in the makeup of how people work. Workplace spirituality is a reasonably new paradigm that has gained an amplified interest in the past two decades with academics and the corporate world [1]. Blau [2] has advocated that even before COVID, social exchanges could create an enhanced work dynamic by suggesting that companies are concerned with material gain and nonmaterial social experiences such as humanitarian ideals and spiritual values. Burack [3] suggested that there has been a rapid growth of spirituality in the workplace and organization in recent times as we have increased social chaos. This growth is mainly because of the changing nature of work and the realization that employees' spiritual level has been neglected for many years [4]. The current challenges have only accelerated the interest in spirituality as a workplace practice. This article will explore recent definitions of spirituality as they relate to religion and counseling in the workplace. Since spirituality is an abstract expression of self, it is not easy to define in its entirety. The paper's focus will converge on a review of the point of view of spirit that gives way to spirituality as defined through the lens of individuals and organizations' relationship to self and others and the world. With the current struggles related to the pandemic and changing times, the integration of spirituality at work can enhance people's connectivity within a business. According to Chopra [5], both leadership and spirituality have a powerful influence on an organization's overall performance. As we continue to move forward into the post-pandemic, the need to have a strong sense of spirit will continue to grow. The article will then introduce three identified behaviors that create a robust spiritual interconnectedness model that can play a role in a business's effectiveness. This spiritual model is introduced to improve relationships at work and integrate spiritual tenants into business processes.

In this issue of Journal of Diabetes Science and Technology, Baumstark et al. evaluated the analytical performance of a bench-top laboratory glucose analyzer (SUPER-GL) intended for replacement for the YSI2300-STAT analyzer, that served for several decades as a comparator method in clinical and analytical studies of blood glucose monitoring systems (BGMS). The authors concluded that the SUPER-GL’s overall performance is comparable to that of YSI2300-STAT, and has the potential to be a candidate comparator analyzer. However, the question is if we need to recommend as a “comparator method,” a specific device, that measure glucose using the same analytical method with most BGMS. In this analysis we present our point of view hoping to generate a discussion on the necessity for such a replacement.

This article argues that building a Community Learning Activity Center through a spiritual model can be developed in West Kalimantan for the strengthening of spiritual values. By exposing and simultaneously evaluating the concept of the current Community Learning Activity Center coaching model through Talcott Parsons functionalism to consider how individuals and communities integrate into a social system, and the concept of spiritual model and spiritual intelligence ala Danah Zohar as a form of value- spiritual values and higher goals in the lives of studying citizens, the model of empowerment through the development of spiritual models needs to be placed in a sociological, social and pedagogical setting for access to educational resources and the political system. Issues and issues of Community Learning Activity Center are never separated from human resources and local identity (identity politics), and individual and group characters. Voluntaristic displacements accept norms and social values as such, humans are actively involved in social exchanges. Likewise, one-dimensional changes, individual identities are liquid and multidimensional.

The purpose of the research is to formulate the general guidelines for the transformation of human rights as a result of global threats. The methodological framework was the methods of comparative legal research, which showed the general trends in the development of the human rights legislation under the influence of global threats. By the example of the responses of states to the terrorist attacks that occurred on September 11, 2001, it is shown how legislative innovations expanding the powers of law enforcement agencies and special services have led to the revision of the content of such basic human rights as the right to privacy and/or the right to personal inviolability. Highlighted is the concept of the “war on terror” (formulated by the United States President in 2001), which allows terrorists to be treated as representatives of a belligerent but without providing any international guarantees enshrined in the provisions of the international humanitarian law. The consequences of the introduction of biomedical technologies, that are aggressive towards humans, are presented, namely the creation of chimeric organisms that contribute to blurring the interspecific boundaries; creation of a genetically modified organism – human embryo; the development of an artificial uterus capable of bearing a human fetus practically from the time the male and female reproductive cells join. The results consist in the identified trends in the development of legal institutions, such as the formulation of new human rights often replacing or distorting the content of basic recognised human rights enshrined in the key international documents and constitutions of the countries of the world; bypassing the legal prohibitions established over the past decades by introducing relativism and assessing any situation from the point of view of the conditions for its occurrence. The novelty of the research lies in the authors’ position and is formulated as follows: the modern system of human rights is facing a serious crisis. Failure to effectively respond to symbolic challenges and threats is one of the factors necessitating the need for monitoring many regulatory documents. But a significant reason for the backlash also lies in the fact that we are at the turn of an era when technology shows humanity the possibility of correcting the very nature of Homo sapiens.

Presenting information to a wide audience through digital signage has now become a very popular way in both public areas (shopping centers, exhibitions) and areas accessible by limited groups of people (condominiums, office buildings). This method of information delivery can be used both for advertising and for non-commercial information. Although targeted information delivery to one person (for example, banner ads on web pages) is already very well developed, the design of digital signage systems that provide targeted information has not been paid enough attention. The paper proposes an approach to providing information through targeted digital signage. The research method used in this work is based on the design science research (DSR) approach. This is an approach to problem solving, motivated and initiated by a specific business problem and trying to solve this problem by creating and verifying information technology artifacts, such as prototypes, models, methods, or architectures. Based on this method, the problem was refined, in particular, from the point of view of the housing industry, which led to the development of a new solution to support business processes of stakeholder groups in the industry. Verification of the draft decision showed that additional technological solutions are needed, such as user identification support, search for common preferences for a group of users, ensuring confidentiality of interests and preferences of individual users. The paper also proposes technologies for user identification and finding common interests and preferences.

Power is a heavy, but great cross, which not every person is capable of carrying. It is both the right to decide the fate of the country and people, and a great responsibility. This is the choice to serve one’s people, accompanied by numerous trials and overcoming of considerable life challenges. With the words «power» or «ruler», we see the image of a person endowed with a life grasp and willpower, who always retains a fi rmness of mind and is not afraid to oppose anyone. If he is gifted with the talents of a commander, strategist, politician and diplomat, the power is often able to shift all spiritual values to the background, and to put forward material desires and the possibilities of their realization. That is why, with all the fullness of one’s power, it is important to remain a virtuous, merciful and humane person. However, history shows that even in our Orthodox land such statesmen are very rare. Alexander Nevsky is a striking example of a great, humane and just ruler. A great number of works of both church and secular nature have been written about the noble knyaz. Meanwhile, his outstanding personality will not cease to attract attention, and after hundreds of years, this topic will always be relevant to us, especially from the point of view of the social orientation of his activities.

In the field of management, this idea is manifested in different forms of organizing business processes, for example, in business groups, business models.

This chapter focuses on the factors necessary for strategic Business Intelligence (BI) success from a managerial point of view. BI results from the various information and human knowledge source systems, as well as the holistic view of the business processes within an organization. However, for the BI process to be synergetic within an organization, the management of the organization should be responsible for providing an environment that is conducive to yielding optimum BI generation and utilization. The goal should be to maximize the resources and minimize the inefficiencies that are systematic within an organization. Open lines of communication, with shared goals and objectives, and organization-wide standards are crucial for overall success. The factors for BI success are all interrelated and non-sequential. However, each needs to be executed and communicated with complete diligence on part of the management for overall strategic success. Lastly, to accommodate a healthy and ethical BI environment, the corporate philosophy and work methodologies may warrant necessary modification.
