THE NATURE OF STRESS RESILIENCE OF CADETS OF DEPARTMENTAL INSTITUTES OF THE PENAL SYSTEM

Статья посвящена изучению понятия стрессоустойчивости и ее структурных элементов исходя из специфики данного качества у соответствующей категории - курсантов ведомственных вузов. Такое изучение необходимо, поскольку формирование стрессоустойчивости у будущих сотрудников уголовно-исполнительной системы имеет крайне важное значение, а эффективное формирование возможно только при уяснении специфической системы компонентов этой стрессоустойчивости. В данном исследовании автор анализирует стрессовые факторы профессиональной деятельности сотрудников уголовно-исполнительной системы и делает вывод, что их можно сгруппировать в два блока: общие и специальные. Понимание стрессовых факторов и их характера позволяет более точно определить ключевое понятие «стрессоустойчивость», отразив его специфичность. Автор берет за основу понимание стрессоустойчивости как комплексного понятия и в процессе изучения специфических стрессоров приходит к заключению, что в комплекс элементов, образующих понятие стрессоустойчивость курсанта вуза ФСИН России, должны входить такие компоненты, как: коммуникативный, регулятивный, мотивационный, когнитивный. Выделяя компоненты стрессоустойчивости, автор дает понятие стрессоустойчивости сотрудника уголовно-исполнительной системы, а также предлагает алгоритм формирования данного свойства в процессе профессионального обучения. Тhe article is devoted to the study of the concept of stress resistance and its structural elements, based on the specifics of this quality in the corresponding category - cadets of departmental universities. Such a study is necessary because the formation of stress resistance in future employees of the penal system is extremely important, and effective formation is possible only if the specific system of components of this stress resistance is understood. In this study, the author sets himself the task of analyzing the stressful factors of the professional activity of employees of the penitentiary system and comes to the conclusion that they can be grouped into two blocks: general and special. Understanding stress factors and their nature allows us to more accurately define the key concept of «stress tolerance», reflecting its specificity. The author takes as a basis the understanding of stress resistance as a complex concept and in the process of studying specific stressors comes to the conclusion that the complex of elements forming the concept of stress resistance of a cadet of a departmental university of the Federal Penitentiary Service should include such components as: communicative, regulatory, motivational, cognitive. Highlighting the components of stress resistance, the author gives the concept of stress resistance of an employee of penal systems, and also offers an algorithm for the formation of this property in the process of vocational training.

The article presents the results of an empirical study of employees of the penitentiary system, the purpose of which was to study their psychological resistance to the impact of destructive factors of professional activity and the development of a psychocorrectional program. The professional activity of employees of the penal system is associated with the impact of various kinds of stress factors, the main of which is interaction with convicts with different levels of psychological and pedagogical neglect and criminal infection, which leaves an imprint on the employee's personality and destructive changes, and therefore the study the psychological stability of the penitentiary system employees to the impact of destructive factors of professional activity is of particular relevance for the penitentiary department. Having studied the psychological characteristics of employees and determined the destructive factors of professional activity, the authors checked the presence of a statistical relationship between the studied phenomena using Spearman's correlation coefficient, which made it possible to develop a psychocorrectional program for psychological support of this category of employees of the penal system. Also, within the framework of the developed psychocorrectional program, the main directions of work on the prevention and correction of destructive behavior are given, which in turn will increase the efficiency of the professional activities of penitentiary officials, improve the social and psychological climate within the team, and prevent discipline among the employees of the penal system.

Abstract. The article examines the issues related to the influence of stress factors on the personality of penal system employees, analyzes the concept of stress, the symptoms of its manifestation, as well as the causes of stress. The article is devoted to the results of psycho-diagnostic research and scientific literature on the topic of the work. The research is aimed at studying stress factors affecting the personality of the penal system employees, confirming the statement that the professional activity of the penal system employees takes place in tense, conflict, extreme conditions, it is associated with the presence of permanent stress factors, which leads to the development of professional stress, has a negative impact on the mental and emotional state of the individual, affects the success of the performance of official duties. The methodological basis of the research includes methods of analysis and synthesis, statistical and system- structural method. As a result of this work, the concept of stress as a response of the body to the impact of the external environment has been studied, its symptoms have been identified. The stress factors of professional activity are analyzed, their negative impact on the personality of the penal system employees is investigated, professionally important qualities that prevent the negative impact of stress on the personality are highlighted. It has been established that the intensity of the stress factors’ impact on the personality of penal system employees depends on the length of service in the penal system, age, and the level of professionalism. Conclusions are drawn about the importance of preventing stressful conditions for maintaining and strengthening the mental and emotional health of employees, for reducing the risk of development of negative personality changes, for developing skills of overcoming and regulating stressful conditions, for the successful fulfillment of professional duties. Subject under consideration in the article is the problem of stress in professional activity of academic staff. It has revealed modern scientific ideas about stress. The reasons, manifestations, consequences of professional stress of a university lecturer have been analyzed on the basis of applied sociological research conducted among the academic staff of National University of Life and Environmental Sciences of Ukraine. The article presents the research results of professional stress impact on professional activity of academic staff. It has been shown that the professional activity of a lecturer is accompanied by numerous stress factors that determine professional stress and have negative influence on his/her professional activity effectiveness. It has been noted that the violation of adaptive mechanisms, low stress resistance with prolonged chronic influence of stress factors, leads to a number of psychosomatic diseases. The strategies of overcoming behavior in stressful situations have been studied among the scientific and pedagogical staff of NULES of Ukraine. The features of overcoming professional stress among teachers with different stress levels have been revealed. Gender characteristics of higher school teachers have been established: a high susceptibility of women to stress, due to their expressiveness, the desire for success in professional career and in personal life, as well as a high frequency of stress development among young teachers, since they have to gain credibility with students. It has been identified that professional stress among teachers with working experience is mainly due to numerous educational reforms and toughening requirements. The importance of stress resistance has been noted, which is associated with innate qualities, but can be strengthened by competent planning and administration responsibilities, the creation of a comfortable working environment by the heads of the faculties and departments, the work of psychologists and the lecturers themselves.

Abstract. Resistance to stress in cows depends on factors such as age, gender, fatness, body type and heredity. The effects of long-term stress factors on the dairy herd cause hard-to-recover damage during production. The purpose of our research was to assess the types of stress resistance of mother cows and their offspring. Methods. The stress tolerance index of the studied animals was calculated according to the method of N. A. Safiullin and others. This method includes the impact on animals during machine milking of a stress factor and changes in milk production indicators, determining the stress resistance indicator of cows by the average value of the sum of estimated indicators: the ratio of 1 % milk, changes in the intensity and completeness of milk production, the duration of the latent milking period. Results. It was found that the most stress-resistant animals were less productive (8000 kg and less for maximum lactation). The stress tolerance index in the mother cows of this group is on average 0.137 (p < 0.001) higher than in other animals evaluated. At the same time, their descendants also had a stress tolerance index higher than in other evaluated groups by an average of 0.041 (p < 0.01). A high type of stress tolerance was determined in 75.0 % of heads in the group of cows-mothers with the lowest productivity for maximum lactation. Slightly less animals with a high type of stress resistance in the group of their descendants – 33.0 % of heads. At the same time, in these groups of mothers and daughters, cows with a low type of stress resistance were not found at all. Repeatability coefficients indicate that in low-yielding mother cows, the stress tolerance index is repeated in groups of daughter cows to a much lesser extent (at r = 0.26) compared to groups of high-yielding cows. The scientific novelty lies in the fact that the indicators of stress resistance of cows and their offspring are established depending on the highest productivity of mothers.

One of the factors that negatively affect psychological readiness for the profession of a teacher is emotional stress. The article examines the definition and approaches to the description of stress, proves the relevance of the problem of teaching students training to become teachers the methods and ways of preventing and correcting stress, improving stress resistance, and preventing emotional burnout in professional activity, the methods of emotional stress prevention are analyzed. The purpose of the article is to study the method of sound therapy (neuroacoustics) and to analyze the effect of a neuroacoustic program in increasing stress resistance in students – future teachers. To test the hypothesis on the influence of neuroacoustic program on the increase of stress tolerance in students training to become teachers, the authors conduct a study using the Perceived Stress Scale by S. Cohen and G. Williamson at the ascertaining and control stages and deploying the developed neuroacoustic program at the formative stage. The conducted study allows to determine and prove that the mastery of neuroacoustic methods increases stress resistance in students training to become teachers. Constant overload, disruptive student behavior, and increased demands are the causes of emotional stress in teachers. The presented method teaches future specialists to cope with stress factors in professional pedagogical activity, allows them to resist emotional and professional burnout, and thereby creates optimal conditions for psychological readiness for the profession of a teacher. The technique can be used in organizations of secondary and higher education.

The article presents an analysis of the phenomenon of stress and stress resistance in the scientific psychological and pedagogical literature. The problem of stress tolerance in the professional activity of a teacher-psychologist is considered. It is noted that the stress resistance of students in educational activities is a complex property of the individual, which is characterized by the necessary adaptation of the student to the influence of external and internal factors in the course of educational activities. The factors influencing the development of stress tolerance and a positive attitude to learning activities are considered. The article presents the results of an empirical study of stress resistance in future teachers-psychologists at the stage of training in higher education. The features of the perceptual assessment of students ’ stress resistance at the final stage of training are shown. It is established that graduates are able to clearly define the goals of their educational and professional activities and choose the best ways to achieve them. They are distinguished by the desire to cope with difficulties independently, the ability to analyze the difficulties encountered and overcome them, unlike first-year students. The study involved students of the 1st and 4th courses of the psychological and pedagogical direction, in the number of 128 people. The following methods were used: self-assessment of the stress resistance of S. Cowhen and G. Willianson, the questionnaire of the perceptual assessment of the type of stress resistance of N. P. Fetiskina, methods of mathematical and statistical processing of the obtained data: descriptive statistics, determination of the reliability of differences: the Fisher criterion. It is reliably established that graduates have a moderate type of stress resistance, and 1st-year students at the initial stage of training are characterized by moderate instability to stress.

The article deals with the problem of psychological support of stress resistance of a law enforcement specialist. It includes the main tasks and stages of psychological support of stress resistance, the features of stress factors that affect the effectiveness of professional tasks. The paper examines the features of forming a professional profile of stress resistance in the framework of psychological support of professional reliability of a law enforcement specialist. The method of forming an individual profile of professional stress resistance is described. The data of the forming experiment demonstrates the high efficiency of individual psychophysical training in solving the actual problem. The stress tolerance factor and the basis for its provision as an element of professional reliability of a specialist are emphasized, meaning the integral psychophysical quality of a person as a specialist’s professional reliability. The article examines the features of stress in the specialist’s professional activity and its overcoming. The method of forming an individual profile of professional stress resistance is proposed.

The article examines the legal and moral and ethical aspects of a misdemeanor that discredits the honor of an employee of the criminal Executive system. The considered reason for dismissal has the main feature associated with the integration of legal and moral norms, which often raises a lot of questions about the attribution of a particular offense to this basis. Using the analysis of normative legal acts, the authors attempt to identify the signs that contribute to the separation of the studied grounds for dismissal from all their diversity. The classification of offenses that discredit the honor of an employee of the criminal Executive system is presented, which allows to systematize and organize the knowledge obtained about the considered grounds for dismissal. The analysis of a misdemeanor that defames the honor of an employee of the penal system from a moral and ethical position gives an understanding, first of all, that it does not have a clear regulation from the point of view of the law, but the consequences of committing such a misdemeanor are clearly legal. The concepts of “honor” and “dignity” are considered as ethical categories and are analyzed as personal qualities that are manifested in an employee of the penal correction system during the period of service. These categories in the behavior of a person or employee are manifested both externally (assessment from the outside) and internally (self-assessment). The article describes the value orientation of an employee of the criminal Executive system to ethical standards in professional activity, which is an integral part of the moral and ethical side of a misdemeanor that discredits the honor of an employee.

В статье рассматриваются вопросы повышения эффективности изучения сложных технических дисциплин путем совершенствования образовательных технологий через использование инновационных цифровых средств и ресурсов, основанных на визуализации учебных элементов. Цель статьи — рассмотреть сущность визуализации учебной информации, которая направлена не только на демонстрацию инженерных процессов и систем, но и на активизацию познавательной деятельности обучающихся и стимулирование мотивации к изучению специальных дисциплин будущей профессиональной деятельности. Теоретическая значимость статьи заключается в обосновании необходимости использования цифровых технологий визуализации для обеспечения эффективности изучения сложных инженерных дисциплин. С помощью созданного визуального фрейма работа позволяет обучать на практике будущих педагогов профессионального образования разрабатывать, модифицировать и использовать в дальнейшем компьютерные модели для подготовки инженеров. В статье по-новому на трех уровнях рассматривается сущность визуализации учебных элементов, что важно при использовании данной технологии в образовательном процессе. The article deals with the issues of increasing the efficiency of studying complex technical disciplines by improving educational technologies through the use of innovative digital tools and resources based on the visualization of educational elements. The purpose of the article is to consider the essence of visualization of educational information, which is aimed not only at demonstrating engineering processes and systems but also at activating students’ cognitive activity and motivating them to study special disciplines of future professional activity. The theoretical significance of the article lies in the justification of the necessity of using digital visualization technologies to ensure the effectiveness of studying complex engineering disciplines. The practical significance is presented through the created visual frame, which enables high-quality training of vocational training teachers in the development, modification and further use of computer models for engineering training. The article considers the essence of educational elements visualization in a new way at three levels, which is important when using this technology in the educational process.

The article is devoted to the psychological peculiarities of the manifestation of coping-resources of educators. The teaching profession belongs to the category of professions especially vulnerable to stress, since the teacher has to solve various professional tasks in the absence of time and information, constant open contact with people, which entails considerable emotional energy. The professional activity of a modern teacher requires constant and maximum mobilization of their personal resources. Maintaining or enhancing a person's stress resistance is associated with finding and using resources well enough to help the educator overcome the negative effects of stressful situations. The article reveals such characteristics of personality and social environment that facilitate or make possible adaptation to life stresses, promotes the development of a means of overcoming it, and increases stress resistance. These personal structures help a person cope with threatening circumstances and facilitate adaptation. The author analyzes the scientific and psychological approaches to understand personal resources, determinants of the choice of coping-strategies, and the influence of the characteristics of professional activity on the behavior of the individual. Questions about structure, functions, and types of coping behavior are raised. According to the majority of modern researchers, the generalized classification of the methods of mastering stressful circumstances is analyzed: coping aimed at evaluation; problem-oriented coping; coping aimed at emotions. Also presented were the most up-to-date and most modern models of coping resources, which can be viewed from different angles to look at the choice of coping-resources by the personality of the teacher, taking into account the conditions of his professional activity. The organization and methods of conducted research of the features of manifestation of coping-resources in teachers are described. The presented quantitative and qualitative results are disclosed according to the stages of the study. In particular, the analysis of teacher’s coping-strategies depending on the level of emotional burnout, ways of overcoming difficult life situations, as well as the methods of coping-behavior of the respondents. Relationships between teachers' coping-resources and emotional and mental stress as well as the monotony of professional activities are also identified. Adaptive and non-adaptive coping behaviors are differentiated in terms of cognitive, emotional, and behavioral coping strategies are analyzed separately. Based on the theoretical analysis of the scientific literature and empirical research, the author substantiates the relevant conclusions and recommendations for school educators on the effective use of their own coping resources.
