Tourism is an extremely important economic sector for the Republic of Croatia and an important component of certain economic and social activities, such as transport and business of travel agencies, trade, catering, agriculture, and numerous service activities. Many Croatian citizens are directly, indirectly, or partially employed in the said sectors. Many depend on it – from individuals, through various business entities and tourist destinations, to the state itself which generates almost 20 percent of the annual state budget revenue from tourism. Given the multilevel and multifunctional importance of tourism, it is important to research how it is organized for emergencies that can cause significant disruptions in the operation and revenue generation. The goal of this paper is to analyze how and how successfully the tourism sector coped with the COVID-19 pandemic and the resulting crisis, what crisis management mechanisms were developed and how they were used during 2020.

Due to the process of globalization, travel has become much more affordable, so tourists have the opportunity to visit foreign and even some exotic destinations. Market research helps travel agencies in formulating a marketing strategy, which should attract tourists and ensure their satisfaction, which ultimately enables the service provider to make a profit. The purpose and goal of the research is to determine whether cultural intelligence as a push-factor implying the desire of tourists to learn a foreign language, and get to know other cultures and their value systems and cultural heritage as a pull-factor implying touring buildings, and cultural monuments of other countries, influence the choice of foreign tourist destinations. Furthermore, the research examines whether the influence of these variables from the aspect of a demographic characteristic of age is more pronounced in respondents belong to generation Z compared to the generation X respondents. The sample includes 208 respondents from the Republic of Serbia. After statistical processing of the data, the obtained results show that variables have a statistically significant positive impact on the choice of foreign tourist destinations, and that their impact is more pronounced in generation Z respondents compared to those of generation X, so the research provides useful information to marketers and travel agencies.

It has long been observed that tourism is a rapidly changing area of the economy. This applies to both types of tourism, and to tourist destinations. In this context, there is objective problem of reliable and comprehensive information support of tourists and travelers in relation to both the traditional tourism countries and new places. Based on the experience of majority of tourism advanced economies, we believe that geo-portal dedicated to the tourism can serve as such resource. It will have multifaceted importance. On the one hand, the geo-portal can visualize the research results of the territory´s tourism potential and to provide a basis for further scientific and educational works. On the other hand it gives the opportunity for tourists to understand the differences and peculiarities of destination, and for investors - to select promising areas for development. The author gives the example of the geo-portal for tourism created by him with the help of geographic information systems. One of the main distinguishing features of geo-portal is considerations of local differences, because every place has its own uniqueness. For the Republic of Armenia, country with a developing tourism sector, this resource will be useful and necessary. The mountainous terrain and the people living in this area for a long historical period are the main features of the tourism potential of the Republic of Armenia. Geo-portal will provide an opportunity to demonstrate not only a popular attractive tourist sites, but also other objects that may be of tourist interest. This will reduce the pressure on the several popular tourist destinations, as well as to develop tourism in the new parts of the country.

Indonesia is a country with unique tourist destinations from each region. The tourism sector has an impact on the Indonesian economy which can encourage economic growth and increase the country's foreign exchange from foreign tourist visits. Tourism growth in Indonesia was disrupted due to the Covid-19 pandemic with the imposition of major social restrictions which resulted in a decrease in tourist visits and the paralysis of the tourism sector. Based on the problems described above, the authors are interested in conducting research in order to classify data on foreign tourist arrivals based on the entrance of foreign tourist arrivals. This research uses data mining method and K-Means Algorithm to form 5 clusters. The 5 clusters are divided into groups of tourist entrances which are categorized as very high (C1), high (C2), moderate (C3), low (C4) and very low (C5). In forming the 5 clusters, the researchers used Ms. Excel and Rapidminer 10.1 to process data. The results of this study obtained that the tourist entrance group was categorized as very high (C1) with 1 data, high (C2) with 1 data, moderate (C3) with 1 data, low (C4) with 1 data and very low (C5). ) that is with 21 data. This study aims to provide suggestions and future considerations to the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy of the Republic of Indonesia (Kemenparekraf) to carry out policies so that the Indonesian tourism sector can return to normal.

This study aims to provide an alternative in order to support the Visit Visa Free (BVK) policy issued by the Government of the Republic of Indonesia. The alternative is to require tourists, especially tourists from China who will use BVK facilities to use certain official Travel Agencies appointed by the Government of Indonesia. In this study discussed how the partnership relationship between the government of Indonesia and China in development in the field of tourism in Indonesia, and how alternative schemes are used in order to prevent violations of Residence Permits that are often carried out by tourists from China. This study uses a qualitative method. The results of the study concluded that: first, the partnership relationship in the tourism sector between the Indonesian government and China experienced significant progress, this was evidenced by the issuance of several policies that provided convenience for entering the Indonesian territory for tourists from China; and the two alternative schemes used by taking the concept of the implementation of Umrah which dispatched Indonesian citizens abroad, became the concept of bringing foreign tourists to Indonesia. The expectation is that the scheme can be stated in the form of legislation, so that the crime of Abuse of Residence Permit which has been dominated by Chinese Citizens can be reduced in number.

Branding of territories is growing rapidly as an approach used in the tourism sector to promote a tourist destination. The concept of branding was borrowed from the world of the mass market and is actively used in a number of national tourist destinations, however, at this stage of its development, an academic analysis of the value and effectiveness of the use of branding of territories is still not fully carried out. First of all, the role of branding in regional tourist territories is not investigated, where brand personalization is extremely important given the geographical proximity of their location.

Abstract The tourism sector is the economic sector hardest hit during the Covid-19 pandemic. A breakthrough is needed in line with health protocols to maintain physical and social distance. Tourism on the outermost islands is an alternative solution. As the largest archipelagic country globally, Indonesia has the potential for the outermost islands that can be used as tourist destinations. A breakthrough policy is needed in the management of ecotourism in the outermost islands related to the limited capability of the Government, such as the high costs for transportation and logistics arrangements in the outermost islands. Tourism in the outermost islands must be directed towards premium tourism. Its market share is middle to upper-class tourists who want a new atmosphere and challenges and are willing to pay quite a lot of money. This study presents a management model that divides each government agency’s duties in managing ecotourism in the outermost islands with a premium scheme and the National Border Management Agency being the operator. The model is expected to encourage the formulation of targeted policies for the management of the outermost islands, including the presence of cruise ships.

The subject of the study is the mechanism for determining the fiscal fee forthe main transportation of hydrocarbon goods as a resource concept. The purposeof this article is to justify the nature and prospects of using, instead of currentrent, hydrocarbon fiscal-main income as a fiscal payment, which is brought intothe state budget by operators of the main hydrocarbon-transport system as business entities for their transportation of hydrocarbons and products of their processing through main pipelines appropriate to the economic requirements. Theresearch methodology is determined by a combination of methods: a) cognition:legal analysis (study of the regulatory framework for the use of rent); b) justification: abstract logical analysis (definition of the concepts of hydrocarbon fiscalmain income); c) generalization (substantiation of conclusions and proposals). Results of work. In the process of analyzing the regulatory legal acts that regulate the use of current annuity as payment to the budget for the main transportation of hydrocarbons, it was established that it is not a tax in the interpretationof PKU, since the essence does not meet the official definition of tax, does notmeet the accepted definition of the concept of rent. The accepted nature andmechanism of paying rent for the transportation of hydrogen resources and associated revenues of the state and users of the main hydrogen transport systemand the unpromising nature of its use as a fiscal payment are analyzed. Conclusions. It is proposed that the state pay for the territorial pumping of hydrocarbon resources according to our triple principle as hydrocarbon fiscal-main income, whichcorresponds to its essence, and accordingly change the mechanism for calculatingand depositing funds to treasury accounts. Since the funds come to the revenueside of the state budget, that is, inherently belong to state revenue. The creationof such a mechanism needs certain studies, justifications and government decisions. The same applies to land use, since the quality indicators of soils, wherethe laid pipelines are territorially different. In addition, there is a process ofchanging land for its intended purpose, for the property. The fee for movinghydrocarbon resources should be calculated depending on the type of transport, including pipelines, for a set of indicators: quantity and quality of goods, time, main tariffs and distance of its movement. The amount may be adjusted usingfactors officially established by the CMU. Since the pipelines are located in territorial lands, part of this fee should be transferred to the territorial local budgets.Theoretically, the economic use of trunk pipelines should be considered as a typeof economic environmental management. Therefore, this type of government revenue should be determined by a set of indicators, as well as taking into account the economic interests of business entities authorized by the CMU. Thus, theimplementation of our proposed fiscal payment is relevant, has scientific noveltyand promising practical significance, therefore, for state recognition it is proposedto include it in the Tax Code of Ukraine.
