Lack of fish catch is one of the problems faced by coastal communities. From the fish farming activities in the sea, the community can obtain enormous economic benefits and support the economic growth of the family through the sale of fish from aquaculture. The government has given the opportunity and responsibility to the community in managing its resources, where the community itself has a need, goals, and aspirations and the community also makes decisions for their welfare. Socialization is needed regarding the importance of keeping coral reefs because the benefits are very good for coastal communities. The challenge faced is because coastal communities are increasing the ability and knowledge of the community about the importance of protecting ecosystems and capturing fisheries that are safe for the environment.

The wealth of marine and fisheries resources is very large, contrary to the sadness of the assumptions which are marine and fisheries resources that make fisheries live prosperously, pushed over by data from the Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries in 2010, it takes 7.87 million poor coastal communities and 2.2 million inhabitants of the coastal population are very poor in all parts of Indonesia. These poor fishermen are scattered in 10,640 fishing villages. This research is aimed to (a) analyzing the level of benefits of government assistance for villages/agriculture-based areas, (b) understanding fisheries-based management models, (c) formulating forms of facilitation activities in rural areas based on fisheries potential. In Gresik and Tuban Regencies, following the 2014 KKP Statistics data from the East Java Province Fisheries and Maritime Services, both regions have some fisheries as well as rural areas with fishery potential. Through observations and analyses from several aspects, in Tuban and Gresik Districts have not felt the influence of assistance from the government. There needs to be assistance to capture the capital, which will have a significant impact on society. Abstract The economic and financial effect of underground economy in all emerging countries is of tremendous concern. Sometimes due to the inputs of the sector to economic growth of nations, it is usually assumed that the government has nothing to lose, meanwhile it goes beyond the seemingly economic benefits, but provides an avenue whereby the government has to suffer financial losses through unavoidable and inherent tax evasions. This study evaluates the impact of shadow economy using the transaction approach and the MIMIC approach which helped to determine the size of the shadow economy as a percentage of GDP and the tax revenue losses suffered by the government for a period spanning from 1991 to 2018. Ordinary least squares method is used to examine the impact of tax revenue earned and lost on Nigeria’s GDP. The regression results indicate that tax revenue earned has a significant positive impact on economic growth, while the tax revenue loss has a significant negative influence on GDP. The study finds that underground economy activities do more harm to the government than good and is also detrimental to Nigeria’s economic progress. Therefore the suggestion among others is that the legal activities among them should be formalized and taxed while the unlawful ones should be exterminated.

Gresik, one of the industrial cities in Indonesia, has recorded that more than 1000 workers have been laid off. The increasing unemployment in Gresik makes the government have to work extra hard to help the community's problems. However, the burden of this community's powerlessness cannot be transferred to the government all the time. Even though the government is still very busy with the unresolved COVID-19 cases. The Community Service proposed by the UMG Industrial Engineering team took the theme of Fish Cultivation in Buckets (Fish farming in buckets), which is better known as aquaponics. The concept of Fish farming in buckets itself is to unite plants and fish in a bucket, resulting in a symbiotic mutualism that is very beneficial for both parties. The object of this research will be conducted at the Industrial Engineering Study Program, University of Muhammadiyah Gresik (TI-UMG) by giving invitations to residents of Yosowilangun Gresik, especially the FAMILY WELFARE DEVELOPMENT group and the Yatim Mandiri foundation. The reason why the debriefing is preferred to the FAMILY WELFARE DEVELOPMENT and Yatim Mandiri groups is none other than the fact that FAMILY WELFARE DEVELOPMENT is a collection of housewives where it is likely that some of the heads of their families will be laid off. And the Yatim Mandiri Foundation is here to support the improvement of the economic independence of the orphan group.

Abstract The ocean economy and marine tourism policies are global economic concerns being looked at from a deeply holistic viewpoint. For South Asian countries, the ocean economy and marine tourism have successive socio-economic importance. The quantification of the ocean economy and marine tourism also poses some major challenges and these challenges pose limitations for policymaking by the government and other relevant agencies. The study has used the newly developed Hidden Panel Cointegration test and Nonlinear Panel Autoregressive Distributed Lag (NPARDL) model for a relationship between economic growth and tourism is assessed. This study offers consistent and reliable results of co-integration by incorporating the findings of four approaches to co-integration. The empirical results illustrate the asymmetric relationship between ocean and marine tourism and economic growth. The findings showed that 1% increase in long term tourism economic growth is adjusted by 2.95% annually. This research paper aims to provide a policy related to South Asia's economic activities and ocean and marine tourism economic significance. Protecting local marine protected areas (MPAs) will improve the economic benefits of the ocean and the marine economy. The policy suggests that there should be a law ensuring that marine tourism is of high quality and environment friendly. This paper provides a guideline for further research with a strong emphasis on ocean-and marine-related economic development and tourism.

The research objective of this paper is to explore the empirical linkages between economic growth and foreign direct investment (FDI), gross fixed capital formation (GFCF) and trade openness in India (TOP) over the period 1980 to 2013. The study reveals a positive relationship between economic growth and FDI, GFCF and TOP. This study establishes a strong unidirectional causal flow from changes in FDI, trade openness and capital formation to the economic growth rates of India. The impulse response function traces the positive influence of these macro variables on the GDP growth rates of India. The study also reveals that the volatility of GDP growth rates in India is mainly attributed to the variation in the level of GFCF and FDI. The study concludes that the FDI inflows and the size of capital formation are the main determinants of economic growth. In view of this, it is expected that the government of India should provide more policy focus on promoting FDI inflows and domestic capital formations to increase its economic growth in the long-term.

AbstractTanzania, like most other developing countries, faces numerous economic challenges in striving to achieve sustainable economic growth and development through taxation. In the literature, the debate on how effective taxes are as a tool for promoting economic growth and economic development remains inconclusive, as various research have reported mixed effects of tax on economic growth. This article investigates the effect of taxation on economic growth in Tanzania using the recently developed technique of autoregressive distributed lag model (ARDL) bounds testing procedure for the period from 1996 to 2019. Various preliminary tests were conducted including stationary tests as well as the pair-wise Granger causality test. According to the results obtained, domestic goods and services (TGS) taxes are positively related to GDP growth and are statistically significant at 1% level. Income taxes, on the other hand, were found to be negatively related to GDP growth and to be statistically significant at 5% level. The pair-wise Granger causality results indicated that there is bidirectional Granger causality between TGS and GDP growth at 1 % significance level. The government should aim at growing, nurturing and sustaining tax base to positively drive economic growth even further.

Dr. Indira Goswami (Mamoni Raisom Goswami) is one of the leading writers of the India today. She has won the Jnanpith Award for the year 2000, which is the highest literary award of India today. She belongs to the family of Sattra adhikars (Head of Vaisnava monastery) of South Kamrup in Assam. Her father, Late Uma Kanta Goswami, was an economist, who worked as the Director of Public Instruction of the Government of Assam. Indira did her schooling in Guwahati and Shillong. She has written eighteen novels, and several hundreds of short stories. Her novels and short stories have been translated into many Indian and Foreign languages. She tries to write from her direct experiences of her life. She only moulds her experiences with her imagination. Her language is like a velvet dress by which she endeavors to cover the restless soul in its journey through existence. But however hard, she might try, the fabric of this dress seldom takes on the texture of velvet or fine Muslim, and it comes out rather tattered. Sometimes they feel that it is a futile effort to arrest the soul with language and capture it in cold print. It is better, perhaps to feel it only in numb science. But, then, those very experiences impel a person to unload them from the psyche by creative effort which gives a sort of relief. And, the tattered fabric has a beauty which puts to shame the finest of velvets.
