Transnational Corporations and Their Magical Skill to Transform Everything Into Profit and Share This Profit With No One

Multinational business has become not only the stimulus for economic globalization, networkisation of business environment and its fragmentation (which has nothing to do with political and/or administrative borders) but also the only truly competitive globally type of entrepreneurial activity. Through multinational systems of production & distribution today privatization is being carried out, taking into account the key advantages of globalization (which, within the multinational economic space turn into the hyper-advantages of businesses). At the same time, other processes are taking place, namely: nationalization of globally predetermined problems (economic, social, environmental and political ones) and also autonomism via economic networking of business and public administration. In this chapter, we consider the contemporary contents and the resource of global competitive advantages of multinational businesses (hyper-presence, hyper-competitiveness, hyper-positioning, hyper-mobility, hyper-perspective and finally – hyper-income). We also analyze the network instruments used in the formation of “internal market of multinational corporations” which is protected from nearly all external impacts and which is also using the marketing and organizational potentials of business environment networkization at the multinational level.

In the conditions of transformation of the national economy, there is a need to form such objects of innovation infrastructure that will stimulate the implementation of the innovation process at any stage of production. Such facilities must support the most promising business idea, innovative projects or ideas, in order to turn them into a product or service. The main purpose of economical use of innovation potential is to create and maintain the existing innovation infrastructure, able to position itself as a communicative channel for the transfer and exchange of knowledge, resources, ideas and technologies between stakeholders of innovative entrepreneurship. Proposals for further development of innovation infrastructure as a determining driver of positive changes in the institutional environment and a source of formation of positive synergy of innovative development of entrepreneurship have been developed. The stages of formation of such infrastructure according to the life cycle of the innovation project are marked, in the course of which due to achievement of complementarity of infrastructural elements impulses for the further stimulation of the economy based on diffusion of innovations are formed. This allows the state, as the initiator of regulation, to determine the directions of renewal of innovation infrastructure taking into account modern conditions. The necessity of reserve accumulation of resource potential of innovative entrepreneurship is noted and the directions of its use according to the stages of realization of the innovative project are determined. These actions are important for increasing innovative development at the macro level and forming a further strategy for innovative development of business stakeholders. The conclusion is made about the need for rational and economic use of resources. This need is due to the rapid involvement of resources in periods of transformation of the national economy, as well as the emergence of crisis trends in the domestic business environment.

Superior technology and management skills of transnational corporations (TNCs) can bring significant benefits to EDEs. However, they cannot be expected to pass willingly the competencies that bring them competitive advantages or act with a developmental perspective and help build potentially efficient local industries. Their contribution to industrialization and development depends very much on deliberate policies of host countries. Lessons from experience suggest that successful examples are found not among EDEs that attracted more FDI, but among those which used it effectively in the context of national industrial policy. However, the past two decades have seen a rapid erosion of policy space in EDEs as a result of bilateral investment treaties signed with more advanced economies, allowing significant leverage to international investors. There is a strong case for renegotiating or terminating them since they greatly compromise the ability of EDEs to benefit from FDI for industrialization and development.

The article is devoted to the issues of actualization of problems and novelties in the context of theoretical and legal segments of the bankruptcy procedure. The activities of economic entities are influenced by external and internal factors, but the issues of their solution remain in most cases in the discussions of politicians, scientists and representatives of the business environment. The effectiveness of legal entities has recently proved that the application of bankruptcy proceedings has intensified. However, remediation issues do not always have and receive adequate support. The consequence of these phenomena is the cessation of activities not only of small and medium-sized businesses, but also of individual large businesses. The main task of modern enterprises on the verge of bankruptcy is to develop tools and tools that allow to predict and analyze potential crises, to design options for their resolution and the appropriate information and economic base of management. Practical entrepreneurial activity proves that a number of issues remain unresolved and need more in-depth research and attention. This phenomenon indicates the modernity and relevance of the study given the realities of the functioning of legal entities. The article draws attention to the legislative regulation of bankruptcy procedures, identifies the priorities of legislative initiatives. The question of the scientific position of scientists concerning the characteristic of the conceptual categories "bankruptcy" and "remediation" is investigated. The author's vision of the essential characteristics of these categories is given, the substantiation of expediency of their adaptation in activity of domestic enterprises is given. A package of anti-crisis management measures has been developed taking into account the current realities of doing business. Proposals for improving the legislative regulation from the standpoint of reorganization procedures are presented.
The rise of global consumption, as well as technological innovation in transportation and telecommunications, have increased international exchange of goods, services and factors of production. Economic globalization in terms of production and markets has been accompanied by an unprecedented intensification of economic and financial linkages within geographic regions. The world economy is shifting towards greater regional economic integration. As open and dynamic economies, New Zealand and China heavily rely on international trade and investment to stimulate economic growth. Strengthened international linkages and improved access to markets are major economic strategies for both countries. As they have been committed to building up longstanding and healthy bilateral trade and economic partnerships, these two countries signed a free trade agreement (FTA) that aims to liberalize and facilitate trade in goods, services and investment, and improve the business environment and strengthen cooperation in a wide range of economic areas. From the perspective of New Zealand's businesses, the FTA will not only improve the business environment, and open up market access opportunities, but it will also pose threats. To take advantage of these opportunities, neutralize threats, and consequently achieve a stronger market position in the Chinese marketplace, New Zealand's businesses must strategically respond to the fast-changing environment arising from the FTA. Due to the special meaning of the FTA to New Zealand's economic growth and the significance of the Chinese market to New Zealand's businesses operating in China, it is important to explore how New Zealand's firms perceive the New Zealand-China FTA; and what strategic decisions and adjustments they have made or they are going to make in response to shifts in the business environment arising from the FTA. Besides several studies with limited empirical evidence were conducted at the macro-economic level by some of interested groups such as New Zealand Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade during the FTA negotiations, little research has been conducted to examine the impact of the New Zealand-China FTA on New Zealand individual companies' business strategic performance. Building on case studies of two representative companies in the New Zealand natural health products industry, this study aims to discover the nature of salient companies under the New Zealand-China FTA and to ascertain what particular patterns of strategy and performance these companies will adopt in response to trade liberalization. The findings of this study suggest that: 1) With the New Zealand-China FTA, the Chinese fast-growing market is typical of the mix of the opportunities and challenges facing New Zealand's businesses. The FTA provides them with a strong incentive to undertake strategic adjustments for further development in the Chinese market. 2) Strategic adjustments made by a firm depend upon the nature of its firm-specific advantages and country-specific advantages, as well as its existing competitive advantages. Firms that are able to secure their resources and capabilities necessary to exploit opportunities and counter threats are more likely to gain international competitive advantages; 3) Small firms with limited resources and capabilities are more likely to engage in the formation of strategic alliances in order to strengthen their competitive positions both domestically and internationally.
