The main purpose of this research paper is to explore the impact of Teacher Talk in English Grammar Acquisition through interaction procedures in the classroom. Through a Conversation Analysis perspective, three extracts from audio- recording were analyzed and transcribed. These extracts focused on the Teacher Talk in Grammar Teaching through interaction with the students. The findings show that Teacher Talk improves the learning of English Grammar. When teachers engage in small talk with students, the students acquire the rules of grammar easily through ‘Turn Management’ and the ‘Next Speaker Selection’ Procedures. Thus, these procedures do not only improve teaching process, but also accredit students who learn English as the second language correctly and accurately. The findings of the study underline opportunities for further research.

Engagement of students and the learning process in the classroom has become one of the significant challenges that higher education (HE) institutions face in the era of the Covid-19 pandemic, with classes running in the virtual environment. One of the approaches that can be used to understand student behaviours and their social interactions is the community of practice (CoPs) as a construct that can be strategic to connect classes representatives, college's objectives and the student's behaviour. The class representatives can play a diverse role, from helping the tutors motivate the students on their learning process to acting as a central and essential communication channel between the students and the academic coordinators. Yet, little is known about the role of these students as a strategy to tackle such problems increased with online classes. This study investigates the impact of class representatives on students' behaviour in the sense of their engagement and learning in virtual classes context post the Covid-19 pandemic. This is a conceptual paper to bridge the mentioned theories, link work across disciplines, provide multi-level insights, and broaden the scope of thinking. The theoretical findings show that class representatives can play a relevant role by increasing engagement and facilitating the students' learning. The results can help HE institutions to develop policies and practices to be more competitive and move forward. This study advances the emergent research efforts to respond to the challenges arising from the Covid-19 pandemic.

This study seeks to establish the quality and type of feedback necessary and suitable for learners, understandable by learners and implementable in the learning process by the learners to improve progress in learning numeracy. However, although written feedback is believed to be instrumental in shaping the pupils’ classroom performance, there is less agreement on whether this is workable in the real world of the classroom or has remained an intended goal of feedback. There is limited work in literature on how pupils respond or use written feedback to improve their performance. A questionnaire was administered to a group of Year 5 students at a school in England to solicit the pupils’ perceptions of the usefulness of written feedback and the challenges that were likely to be faced in interpreting and implementing the feedback. In order to measure the impact of feedback on students’ performance, a pre-test was given, pupils’ recommendations from the questionnaire were incorporated, and a second test was given two days later. The two sets of marks were then compared. It was found that pupils find it difficult to understand written feedback at times, mainly because of unfamiliar vocabulary used in the feedback and when they do understand the language, they often find it unhelpful in achieving their learning goals. Teachers are recommended to simplify and add more detail to feedback, making it as informative as possible about what was done well and suggest improvements that could be made.

This research aims to show the masculinity crisis experienced by a male character (a husband) due to the shift role of breadwinner in marriage in the short story "Huruf Terakhir" by Benny Arnas. This research is essential because it can demonstrate the impact of the wife's involvement to work in the public domain towards the husband's condition. This research is qualitative research by utilizing the concept of gender. Data collection techniques are carried out through document tracing on a short story "Huruf Terakhir" by Benny Arnas as the corpus.  The data obtained was analyzed using descriptive analysis method. The results showed that shifting role of breadwinner can cause a man (a husband) to experience a crisis of masculinity such as loss of independence, confidence, courage, assertiveness, and emotional control. The shifting role as breadwinner is also shown to open the opportunities for repression in women. Therefore, the research on the short story "Huruf Terakhir" is expected to contribute to the study of gender-sensitive literature, especially since it is able to show masculinity traits associated with the role of breadwinner can complicate men’s position and  potentially hinder women's freedom.

Radicalism is seen as dangerous for the integrity of the Republic of Indonesia. It is contradictory to Islamic values, where Islam upholds the principles of tolerance, peace, and respect for one's beliefs. Intellectual capital is of great value to profit-oriented organizations today. In the modern environment, the issue of strategic advantage is inseparable from the consideration of the issue of intellectual capital, bearing in mind that intellectual capital is a generator of economic value. In order for banks, as modern profit-oriented organizations, to achieve target performance, they need to know what their competitive advantage is, and to identify the necessary capacities and resources for sustainable business. The role of intellectual capital is crucial when it comes to the performances of modern banks, given the dynamic competitive environment in which they operate today. However, regardless of that, the literature that focuses precisely on the settings of these financial organizations is insufficiently represented and fragmented. This research, based on the application of the content analysis method, provides a structured review of the literature on the specifics of managing intellectual capital in banks. Further research could analyse the impact of intellectual capital on the performances of banks operating in the Republic of Serbia.

In Vietnam, EFL learners have always been concerned about improving their grammar knowledge, and many efforts have been made to do so through various methods. Some studies suggest engaging students in their learning process and focusing their attention on untilizing multimedia and visualizations in form of infographics. However, little research has been conducted on the topic, and the current study is an attempt to find empirical evidence for such a suggestion in Vietnam context. This study was designed to examine the impact of infographics instruction on grammar learning. While the experimental group learned grammar with infographics instruction, the controlled group learned it with routine and traditional techniques. Finding reveals that infographics instruction was an effective instrument to help EFL learners learn English grammar.
