This paper presents a study focused on comparing real actors based scenarios and animated characters based scenarios with respect to their similarity in evoking psychophysiological activity for certain events by measuring galvanic skin response (GSR). In the experiment, one group (n=11) watched the real actors’ film whereas another group (n=7) watched the animated film, which had the same story and dialogue as the real actors’ film. The results have shown that there is no significant difference in the skin conductance response (SCR) scores between the two groups; however, responses significantly differ when SCR amplitudes are taken into account. Moreover, Pearson’s correlation reported as high as over 80% correlation between the two groups’ SCRs for certain time intervals. The authors believe that this finding is of general importance for the domain of simulation-based tutoring systems in development of and decisions regarding use of animated characters based scenarios.

Dental and oral health can directly affect the quality of life, and is a serious problem in Indonesia, especially in children. Based on the results of the Basic Health Research (Riskesdas) in 2018, 54% of children aged 5-9 years and 41.4% of children aged 10-14 years experienced dental caries. Dental and oral health is influenced by children's behavior which includes knowledge, attitudes, and actions. The objective of this study was to determine the effect of providing information through animated film media on improving dental and oral health behavior in students of SDN Kedondong, Sokaraja, Banyumas. Methods: This type of research is a pre-experimental design one group pretest- posttest by comparing behavioral values which include components of knowledge, attitudes and actions about dental and oral health before and after giving information through animated films, measuring the number of caries using the DMF-T/def-index. t, as well as the severity of dental caries that were not treated using the PUFA/PUFA index. The research population was students of SDN Kedondong while the number of samples was 60 people who were taken purposively by considering the inclusion-exclusion criteria. Data was collected using pre-test and post-test questionnaires and measurements of DMF-T, def-t, and PUFA/PUFA indexes. Data analysis used was non-parametric comparative Wilcoxon signed rank test because the data were not normally distributed. Results: This study showed that there was a significant difference (p<0.05). Dental and oral health behavior between before and after being given information through animated films to students at SDN Kedondong, Sokaraja, Banyumas effective in improving dental and oral health behavior in students of SDN Kedondong, Sokaraja District, Banyumas Regency.

Purpose The aims of this study were to characterize hearing symptoms, habits, and sound pressure levels (SPLs) of personal audio system (PAS) used by young adults; estimate the risk of developing hearing loss and assess whether instructions given to users led to behavioral changes; and propose recommendations for PAS users. Method A cross-sectional study was performed in 50 subjects with normal hearing. Procedures included questionnaire and measurement of PAS SPLs (real ear and manikin) through the users' own headphones and devices while they listened to four songs. After 1 year, 30 subjects answered questions about their usage habits. For the statistical analysis, one-way analysis of variance, Tukey's post hoc test, Lin and Spearman coefficients, the chi-square test, and logistic regression were used. Results Most subjects listened to music every day, usually in noisy environments. Sixty percent of the subjects reported hearing symptoms after using a PAS. Substantial variability in the equivalent music listening level (Leq) was noted ( M = 84.7 dBA; min = 65.1 dBA, max = 97.5 dBA). A significant difference was found only in the 4-kHz band when comparing the real-ear and manikin techniques. Based on the Leq, 38% of the individuals exceeded the maximum daily time allowance. Comparison of the subjects according to the maximum allowed daily exposure time revealed a higher number of hearing complaints from people with greater exposure. After 1 year, 43% of the subjects reduced their usage time, and 70% reduced the volume. A volume not exceeding 80% was recommended, and at this volume, the maximum usage time should be 160 min. Conclusions The habit of listening to music at high intensities on a daily basis seems to cause hearing symptoms, even in individuals with normal hearing. The real-ear and manikin techniques produced similar results. Providing instructions on this topic combined with measuring PAS SPLs may be an appropriate strategy for raising the awareness of people who are at risk. AbstractPost-operative nasal medications are commonly used following routine septal or turbinate surgery but their efficacy in removing blood clots, improving the sensation of a patent airway and promoting healing are unknown. This prospective randomized trial of patients undergoing septal and/or turbinate surgery assessed the efficacy of three commonly used nasal medicines, 0.5 per cent ephedrine hydrochloride nasal drops, betamethasone sodium phosphate (Betnosol®) nose drops and alkaline nasal douches, in producing the sensation of a patent airway in the 14 days following surgery. Ninety-seven patients were randomized into the three treatment groups and a control group who received no nasal medication. Patients assessed their nasal patency by means of a visual analogue scale (VAS) and any complications of treatment were recorded. Statistical analysis of the 76 complete sets of results using the Mann-Whitney U-test showed that there was a significant difference in the distribution of all of the treatments for each of the time intervals (p<0.05). Glass rank biserial correlation coefficients were all small (rg<0.085) but the most significant differences were between ephedrine and the control group at two hours, two, seven and 10 days (0.02, 0.054, 0.057, 0.085 respectively), alkaline nasal douches being most significant at four and 14 days (0.06 and 0.0722 respectively).

Objective: To search for a dental pulp preservative method in experimental pulpitis. Methods: 20 rabbits with experimental pulpitis were selected for this study; Teeth were randomly assigned to 2 groups (experimental and control groups) based on the final irrigation methods. In experimental group (double-pinhole drainage), the two pinholes were drilled in middle 1/3 dental cervix of buccal labial surface of tooth; the pinholes were inserted into infant transfusion needles then the two syringes were contacted with them, one for suck, another for irrigation. In control group, pinhole was sealed. Rabbits were executed in 1, 3, 5, 7 day. The inflammation in pulp chamber was assessed after 1, 3, 5, and 7 days. Results: At the 1, 5 day time intervals, control group reported more inflammation than experimental group (P < .05). There was no significant difference between two groups at the other time intervals (P > .05), and in all groups the inflammation decreased over time. Conclusion: Dental pulp can be preserved by double-pinhole drainage efficiently.

In China in recent years, the rental housing market has boomed, but insufficient attention has been paid to microsubject tenants in the market, and there is a lack of research results on tenants’ decision-making processes. In keeping with the characteristics of China’s accommodation-renting population, this study takes as its research object graduating students, who form an important group in the housing rental market, and focuses on the information retrieval process underlying prospective tenants’ rental decisions. First, it investigates tenants’ concerns during the renting process by means of questionnaires. Second, using eye-tracking experiments, the real online renting process is simulated and tenants’ web listings are analyzed qualitatively and quantitatively. In the process of information search, the characteristics and rules of browsing the entry search page, the listings page, and the details page are obtained, and the factors that prospective tenants pay attention to in their search for rental information are obtained. The research results show that initial alphabetical sorting of the term search page can improve the subjects’ efficiency in locating the target keywords, the text information display area of the listings page receives more attention than others, and the real concern factors of the tenants on the page listing details are generally consistent with their selected factors but deviate slightly. Finally, the layout and display of web page information affect how subjects’ attention is distributed, and web page information presents a significant difference in attention between upper and lower pages.

Abstract Background There are evidences that periurethral cleaning by antiseptics before catheterization decreases the risk of urinary tract infections. The purpose of this study was to Comparing 10% povidone-iodine and chlorhexidine gluconate (CHG) effectiveness in periurethral cleaning before catheterization on bacteriuria and pyuria in hospitalized patients. Methods A randomized controlled trial was used, and subjects were randomly allocated to either the 10% povidone -iodine group or the 2% chlorhexidine gluconate group. Urine specimens for culture and Analyse were collected 3 times for each subject within 5 days. Results Overall, 216 urine samples were collected in 72 subjects .There were no significant difference in results of bacteriuria of two groups immediately, 72 hrs. and 5 days after catheterization (p>0.05). There was no significant difference between two groups regarding positive pyuria immediately after sampling (p>0.05). Although its amount was significantly higher 72 hrs and 5days after catheterization in 10% povidone-iodine group than 2% chlorhexidine gluconate (p<0.05). In order to evaluate average of micro-organism in different time intervals between two groups Mann– Whitney test was used. This test showed that there was no significant difference of number of time intervals (p>0.05). Conclusions The results of this study showed that using 2% chlorhexidine gluconate reduced the amount of bacteriuria in catheterazied patients compared to 10% povidone-iodine. However this difference was not significant. Therefore doing more studies with more number of samples in this field is suggested. Trial registration: Retrospectively registered. Siguan acupoints have been used to treat gastrointestinal symptoms in acupuncture practices for a long time. This study aimed to investigate the effects of Siguan acupuncture on gastrointestinal motility under accelerated conditions using a randomized, sham-acupuncture-controlled, crossover study. Twenty-one healthy male subjects were hospitalized and randomized into either a real acupuncture group (at Siguan acupoints) or a sham acupuncture group. Subjects were administered with mosapride citrate (15 mg a day) for 2 days starting 24 hours before the first acupuncture treatment. Immediately after the administration of radio markers, acupuncture treatment was conducted 4 times at 12-hour intervals. Gastrointestinal motility was assessed using radiograph distribution of the radio-markers located in the small intestine, ascending colon, transverse colon, descending colon, rectum, and outside the body immediately after the first acupuncture treatment and at 6, 12, 24, and 48 hours. After a 2-week washout period, the real acupuncture group in the first session was treated with sham acupuncture in the second session, and vice versa. Gastrointestinal motility was generally reduced in the real acupuncture group compared with the sham acupuncture group throughout the 4 different time points. A significant difference was observed at 24 hours following the first acupuncture treatment (P<0.05).

The conclusion reflects on the meaningfulness of genre analysis as paving the way for more rigorously formalist approaches to computer-animated films, but also as a way of positioning industry, technology and textuality in relation to each other. The conclusion also argues that the features of the computer-animated film identified in the book engage with discourses of juvenile behaviour to stretch the terms of the adult/child distinction, with many computer-animated films demonstrating a notable fascination with the vicissitudes and values of the childhood experience. The narratives of computer-animated films invite a specific consideration of what it means to be a child within contemporary culture. I challenge directly Judith Halberstam’s notion that certain children’s films appeal to the “disorderly child” and instead look to the fuzzy distinction between adolescents and adults engendered in portmanteau terms pertaining to cultural categories such as “kidult,” “manchild” and “adultescents.” The child/adult distinction is thus not fixed or ‘frozen,’ but flowing, and the conclusion identifies how computer-animated films offer future opportunity to examine how, as a genre, they mobilise questions about the cultural experience and significance of childhood, at the same time as their narratives redefine adulthood.
