In recent years, the OTT (Over The Top) was very popular in the communications industry and the mobile Internet industry. The behavior of Internet companies such cross operators, to develop a variety of value-added services and products Internet-based or mobile-Internet-based poses a serious threat to the operators’ benefits. In order to change this situation and enhance their competitiveness, it is necessary for the operators to find new interests growth point. So the concept of three-dimensional mobile operators is proposed, and the nature of the pipeline, such as systematicness, spatiality and openness were studied. Finally, the application of 3D pipeline in mobile e-commerce is researched.

The convergence of the Internet and mobile networks has created new opportunities and applications. Considering mobile business only as an extension of the traditional web can lead to missing out on unique and differentiable qualities for new value-added opportunities. Mobile banking is considered as potentially one of the most value-added and important mobile service available. The chapter examines the technological changes in mobile networks and the innovative attributes of mobile Internet. It advances the theoretical framework of innovation in services to develop a customer centric analysis of m-banking value proposition. The chapter goes on to discuss critical factors in the diffusion of m-Banking and explores reasons of failure and further prospects of success.

The chapter aims to present an in-depth study of the factors influencing Mobile Internet adoption. The authors analyse the influence of Internet use experience, compatibility, perceived financial risk, credibility and attitude towards Mobile Internet in the M-Internet adoption decision. After identifying the key drivers of M-Internet adoption, the second part of the chapter presents an empirical study of the Spanish market. Results based on a sample of 213 Internet users show that Internet use experience, MInternet compatibility, credibility and attitude are positive key drivers of M-Internet adoption. Perceived financial risk influences negatively on M-Internet usage intention. This chapter will give managers and students insight into the M-Internet industry and the different factors that influence M-Internet adoption. In addition, these factors can be applied to the specific context of the Spanish market.

Digested sludge, as the main by-product of the sewage sludge anaerobic digestion process, still contains considerable organic compounds. In this protocol, we report a facile method for preparing digested sludge-derived self-doped porous carbon material for high-performance supercapacitor electrodes via a sustainable pyrolysis/activation process. The obtained digested sludge-derived carbon material (HPDSC) exhibits versatile O-, N-doped hierarchical porous framework, high specific surface area (2103.6 m 2  g −1 ) and partial graphitization phase, which can facilitate ion transport, provide more storage sites for electrolyte ions and enhance the conductivity of active electrode materials. The HPDSC-based supercapacitor electrodes show favourable energy storage performance, with a specific capacitance of 245 F g −1 at 1.0 A g −1 in 0.5 M Na 2 SO 4 ; outstanding cycling stability, with 98.4% capacitance retention after 2000 cycles; and good rate performance (211 F g −1 at 11 A g −1 ). This work provides a unique self-doped three-dimensional hierarchical porous carbon material with a favourable charge storage capacity and at the same time finds a high value-added and environment-friendly strategy for disposal and recycling of digested sludge.

<p>Considering the threats from OTT (Over-The-Top) services, this paper examines whether the mobile operator should charge OTT services access fees and how to. By using a dynamic-gaming process, we find that: 1) under non-cooperative strategy, the mobile operator would charge OTT a mobile Internet access fee, which is positively correlated to OTT platform’s future commercial value and the price of direct communication service, and negatively correlated to the indirect communication service price. 2) under cooperative strategy, the OTT service price that the joint venture charges end users is negatively correlated to OTT platform’s future commercial value. 3) despite choosing cooperative or non-cooperative strategy, the pricing of mobile operator’s direct communication service has a negative correlation with OTT platform’s future value and a positive correlation with the platform’s quality; while the pricing of the indirect communication service is positively correlated to platform’s future value and negatively correlated with the platform quality.</p>

A reheating furnace is a critical component in value-added steel production. These furnaces can have a significant impact on product quality and total cost. Due to the higher efficiency of regenerative burners, a growing number of reheating furnaces are using this technology. To better understand the regenerative burner operation, a Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) analysis has been conducted to examine the transient and three dimensional flow characteristics in the No.3 reheating furnace at ArcelorMittal Steelton. Simulation results with traditional burners and regenerative burners have been analyzed to understand the effect of retrofitting a furnace with these more modern burners. The temperature distribution on the billets has also been monitored throughout the simulated heating process providing insight into the optimization of billet residence time and improvement of the product quality control process.

Three dimensional modelingis an important issue in the field of computer vision and computer graphics. And because of its universality and usability, human face is one of the mainfocuses of three dimensional modeling. At the same time, the wide spread of mobile internet makes people’s demand of mobile-working and mobile-entertainment become larger and larger.Based on this background, this paper designs and implements a mobile environment compatible 3Dface modeling system based on client-serverarchitecture, and proposes a solution to handle the useless and redundantface data during the pre-processing period of face modeling based on the frames’ continuity assumption.

Graphic communications industry has a tradition of more than one thousand years. Not since the invention of movable metal type by Gutenberg in 1450 has the communication landscape been shaken at its foundation as today, when print media face competition from new and novel forms of visual communication. In this paper, the critical analysis and study is made as to why printing has weathered the onslaught of new forms of communication in the past and if, in fact, print media will yet again be able to prevail over radically different methods of dissemi¬nating information. Although printing jobs are still in much need today and printing presses everywhere are keeping busy with a steady influx of orders everyday, people in the graphic communications industry should adapt to the new changes of the internet ages and make fully use of print communications to prevail over different kinds of new media. Printed Electronics and postpress finishing also play key roles in creating new functional print products and adding more value to print media.

A reheating furnace is a critical component in value-added steel production. These furnaces can have a significant impact on both product quality and total cost. In order to obtain a better understanding of the furnace operation which influences the temperature distribution, a Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) analysis has been conducted to examine the transient and three dimensional temperature fields in a prototype of the number three reheating furnace located at ArcelorMittal. Also, a series of simulations have been conducted to maximize the furnace performance. These parametric studies include different burner designs, fuel flow rates, and combustion air supplies to optimize the heating capacity of the furnace. The comparison of the simulation results assists in understanding the effective factors which are critical to the improvement of the furnace’s production capacity, thus providing insight into furnace optimization.
