The research aims to find out the effect of learning media and learning independence on the skills of science processes in elementary schools. The method used in this study was an experiment with design research with 2x2 by level treatment design. Sampling in this study was carried out by simple random sampling, namely Duren Sawit Village Primary School and selected Duren Sawit 07 Pagi State Elementary School. The results of this study indicate that the science process skills between students taught using visual learning media are higher than students taught using audio visual learning media. The average science process skills of students who learn use visual learning media are higher than students who learn by using audio visual learning media.   Abstrak Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengetahui perngaruh media pembelajaran dan kemandirian belajar terhadap keterampilan proses IPA di Sekolah Dasar. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah eksperimen dengan desain peneitian eksperimen dengan rancangan treatment by level 2x2, Pengambilan sampel dalam penelitian ini dilakukan secara simple random sampling yaitu Sekolah Dasar Negeri Kelurahan Duren Sawit dan yang terpilih Sekolah Dasar Negeri Duren Sawit 07 Pagi. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa Keterampilan proses IPA antara siswa yang diajarkan menggunakan media pembelajaran visual lebih tinggi dari pada siswa yang diajarkan menggunakan media pembelajaran audio visual. Rata-rata keterampilan proses IPA siswa yang belajar menggunakan media pembelajaran visual lebih tinggi dibandingkan siswa yang belajar dengan menggunakan media pembelajaran audio visual. This study aims to integrate the local wisdom of the traditional engklek game into problem-solving-based mathematics learning at the elementary school level. The method used in this study is a mixed-method with an explanatory design. The data analysis technique used in this study was random sampling and data collection was carried out by distributing observation sheets about student process skills, student learning interest questionnaires and conducting interviews with students and teachers at the school. Based on the results obtained by the researchers, it can be found that there is interest in learning and skills of students in grades IV A and IV B in the engklek game in mathematics subjects at State Elementary Schools. In addition, there is a relationship between students' interest in learning and students' process skills in mathematics subjects at State Elementary Schools. <div align="center"><table width="645" border="1" cellspacing="0" cellpadding="0"><tbody><tr><td valign="top" width="439"><p><strong>Abstract:</strong> This research was aimed to know the use of audiovisual media in a guided inquiry model of science processskills and mastery of students' concepts in science subjects. The low level of science process skills and mastery of concepts that exist today, becomes the urgency of this research. in this study, the type of research used was quasi-experimental research using two learning classes as research samples with different treatments. The sample is divided into experimental class and control class with simple random sampling technique. The analysis showed that there were significant differences in the experimental class with media use audiovisual in the guided inquiry model with the average value of science process skills and mastery of concepts is higher than the control class.</p><p><strong>Abstrak:</strong> Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui penggunaan media audiovisual pada model inkuiri terbimbing terhadap keterampilan proses sains dan penguasaan konsep siswa pada mata pelajaran IPA. Rendahnya keterampilan proses sains dan penguasaan konsep saat ini, menjadi urgensi penelitian ini. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan merupakan penelitian kuasi eksperimen dengan menggunakan dua kelas belajar sebagai sampel penelitian dengan perlakuan yang berbeda. Sampel tersebut dibedakan menjadi kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol dengan <em>simple random sampling</em>. Hasil kajian menghasilkan ada perbedaan yang signifikan pada kelas eksperimen dengan penggunaan media audiovisual pada model inkuiri terbimbing dengan nilai rata-rata Keterampilan Proses Sains dan penguasan konsep lebih tinggi dibandingkan kelas kontrol.</p></td></tr></tbody></table></div>

The present study investigated elementary school teachers' competency in relation to their sex and age in India and Iran. 484 teachers were selected through Simple Random Sampling from elementary schools of Mysore city (India) and Arak city (Iran). Subjects consisted of 187 men and 297 women. The tool of study was 'Teachers Competency Scale' developed by investigators. Results revealed that female teachers are more competent in some dimensions of competency. Also, it was found that age has no influence on teachers' competency.

The objective of this research is to study the effects of work environment, leadership and work motivation on the performance of state elementary school principals in Kramat Jati the subdistrict of East Jakarta. The research was conducted by survey method with path analysis. The sample size was 59 principals of state elementary schools, by using the simple random sampling technicque.The results of the research are as follows: (1) there is a direct effect of the work environment toward work motivation; (2) there is a direct effect of leadership on work motivation; (3) there is a direct effect of the work environment on the performance of the principals; (4) there is a  direct effect of the leadership on performance of the principals; (5) there is a  direct effect of the work motivation on performance principals. Based on the findings of this research that the performance of state elementary school prinscipals in Kramat Jati the subdistrict of East Jakarta was significantly influenced by work environment, leadership and work motivation. It could be concluded that enhanching performance of principals would be determined by increasing the work environment, leadership and work motivation.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk  mengetahui kevalidan, kepraktisan, dan keefektifan perangkat pembelajaran biologi berbasis Model Susan Loucks Horsley setting outdoor activities untuk penumbuhkembangan keterampilan proses sains dan karakter peduli lingkungan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode research and development (R&D) yang dikembangkan oleh Borg&Gall. Uji coba lapangan menggunakan dua kelas yang dipilih menggunakan teknik simple random sampling. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah konversi skor ke nilai. Kemudian dilanjutkan dengan uji normalitas, uji homogenitas, independent sample t-test dengan taraf signifikansi 0,05. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa perangkat pembelajaran berbasis model Susan Loucks Horsley setting outdoor activities ini memenuhi kriteria valid, praktis, dan efektif dalam menumbuhkembangkan keterampilan proses sains dan karakter peduli lingkungan peserta didik. Kevalidan produk terlihat dari hasil uji validasi yang menyatakan bahwa produk mencapai kriteria sangat valid. Kepraktisan produk terlihat dari hasil pengisian lembar respon peserta didik menunjukkan kriteria sangat praktis untuk handout dan proses pembelajaran serta praktis untuk LKPD; dan lembar observasi keterlaksanaan pembelajaran menunjukkan bahwa persentase keterlaksanaan pembelajaran yang berada pada kisaran 91,7% sampai 100%. Keefektifan didukung dengan hasil uji beda antara kelas kontrol dan eksperimen yang menunjukkan adanya perbedaan rata-rata nilai hasil belajar,dan skor angket karakter kepedulian lingkungan yang signifikan antara dua kelas tersebut dengan taraf signifikansi 0,05.Kata Kunci: pengembangan, perangkat pembelajaran, keterampilan proses sains, karakter peduli lingkungan Developing of SLH’s Model of SSP to Increase Student’s Science Process Skills and Environmental Care  AbstractThis study aims to investigate the validity, practicality, and effectiveness of biology tool based learning model of Susan Loucks Horsley setting outdoor activities to increase science process skills and environmental care. This study used research and development (R&D) of Borg & Gall. Try out was conducted by using two classes which were selected using simple random sampling technique. The data analysis technique was the score conversion into grades. Then it was followed by normality test, homogeneity test, independent sample t-testwith a significance level of 0.05. The results of this research shows that the sets based-learning of Susan Loucks Horsley’s model with setting outdoor activities meets the criteria for  validity, practicality, and effectiveness to increase science process skills and environmental care of the students. Validity of the products shown on the validation test results stating that the product reaches a very valid criteria. Practicality of the product seen from the results of the student’s response sheets which shows a very practical criteria for handouts and learning processes as well as practical for LKPD; and observation sheet feasibility study shows that apercentage feasibility study which is in the range of 91,7% until 100%. This effectiveness is also supported by t-test indicating the difference of grades study results, science process skills and environmental care of the score mean between the control and experimental class is significant with significance level of 0.05. The purpose of this study is mainly to describe the performance of primary school teachersin the unit of education technical implementation in Banyumanik, Semarang. This researchwas conducted in January- August 2017. The sample of this research is 162 primaryschool teachers selected by random sampling technique in order to get the same opportunityas sample. The instruments used in this study were the assessment sheets, the RatingSheet consisted of 64 items of question, and 3 indicators of Primary School TeacherPerformance. The results show that each of Implementation of lesson plans is categorizedvery well (90, 9%), the execution of the learning is 83.4%, assessment of learning is good(82.8%). The Overall performance of primary school teachers is categorized good( 85 , 7 % ). In other words, the primary school teachers of the unit of education technicalimplementation in Banyumanik Semarang can arrange the lesson plans, carry out learningand teaching process and assess the learning process in elementary school.

This study aims to describe the increase in activities and student learning outcomes in learning Natural Sciences in class V Kabuyu Inpres Elementary School through the application of the science process skills approach. The method used in this research is classroom action research which consists of 4 stages, planning, implementation, observation, and reflection, with data collection techniques using evaluation tests, observation sheets, and field notes. Research subjects were 27 students. The results showed that using existing instructional devices showed an increase in student and teacher activities. Student learning activity shows the percentage score obtained on the first cycle is 70.05% in the category enough, in the second cycle showed an increase in the percentage score of 90.48% category very good, an increase of 20.43%. Teacher observation activities when applying the material in class I showed a percentage score of 78.33% in the good category, in the second cycle, the percentage score was 95.00% in the very good category, an increase of 16.67%. In the results of the analysis of evaluation tests, the first cycle students showed the percentage of classical completeness 53.70% for the percentage of classical absorption 71.06%, the second cycle showed an increase in the results of the evaluation test evaluation on the percentage of climax completeness obtained 90.74%, and the percentage of absorption laxative results showed 84.96%, KBK increased by 37.04% and DSK increased by 13.90%. Based on the acquisition of these results, it was concluded that the approach to science process skills can improve student learning activities and outcomes in the heat transfer material in class V of Kabuyu Inpres Elementary School in 2018-2019.

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan hubungan: budaya sekolah dengan kinerja guru; komunikasi dengan kinerja guru; budaya sekolah dengan komitmen; komunikasi dengan komitmen, komitmen dengan kinerja guru; budaya sekolah dengan kinerja melalui komitmen; komunikasi dengan kinerja guru melalui komitmen. Sampel penelitian sebanyak 250 orang guru di 100 Sekolah yang dipilih secara stratified proporsional random sampling dari populasi sebesar 2.276 orang guru yang tersebar di 274 SD Negeri di Kota Banjarmasin. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan instrumen yang telah diuji validitas dan reliabilitasnya. Data penelitian dianalisis secara deskriftip dan analisi jalur. Hasil penelitian menemukan bahwa budaya sekolah memiliki hubungan dengan kinerja, komunikasi memiliki hubungan dengan kinerja, budaya sekolah memiliki hubungan dengan komitmen, komunikasi memiliki hubungan dengan komitmen, komitmen memiliki hubungan dengan kinerja guru, komitmen merupakan perantara hubugan budaya sekolah dengan kinerja guru dan hubungan komunikasi dengan kinerja guru. The sample consisting of 250 teachers from 100 schools was selected using the stratified proportional random sampling technique from a population of 2,276 teachers teaching in 274 state elementary schools in Banjarmasin Municipality. The data were collected using an instrument which had been validated and which was reliable. The data were analyzed using the descriptive analysis and the path analysis. The findings showed that there was relationship between: school culture and teachers’ performance, communication and performance, school culture and commitment, communication and commitment, commitment and teachers’ performance. Commitment became an intervening variable between school culture and teachers’ performance and between communication and teachers’ performance. Abstract. This research aims to determine the factors that influence the growing interest in learning of students in Athira Makassar Islamic Elementary school in class 4.1. This study uses a quantitative approach with descriptive survey method. The population of the research was 74 fourth grade students of Athira Makassar Islamic Elementary school, consist of 4 classes, the sampling using simple random sampling technique, so that class 4.1 was chosen as a sample of 20 students. Data were analyzed using statistical data analysis technique which consisted of editing, data tabulated stages, then presented and then presented in table form and described descriptively. The result showed a percentage of learning method 14,41%, the geographical location of the school 12,56%, phisycal indikator 11,78%, learning models 11,74%, talent 9,18%, learning models 8,54%, indikator of needs 6,28%, social competence 5,97%, building indikator 5,77%, personality competence 5,43%, and pedagogic competence 5,30%. It was concluded that the learning method was the most influential factor in the growth of student`s interest in learning at Athira Makassar Islamic Elementary school grade 4.Abstrak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui faktor yang mempengaruhi tumbuhnya minat belajar siswa di SD Islam Athirah Makassar kelas 4.1. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode survei deskriptif.Populasi penelitian adalah keseluruhan siswa kelas 4 SD  Islam Athirah Baruga Makassar berjumlah 74 orang siswa yang terdiri dari empat kelas, penarikan sampel menggunakan teknik Simple Random Sampling, sehingga terpilih kelas 4.1 sebagai sampel yang berjumlah 20 orang siswa. Data dianalisis menggunakan teknik analisis data statistik yang terdiri dari tahap penyuntingan, input data, dan tahap tabulasi,selanjutnya dipersentasekan kemudian disajikan dalam bentuk tabel dan dijabarkan secara deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan persentase metode pembelajaran 14,41%, letak geografis sekolah (12,56%), indikator fisik (11,78%), model pembelajaran (11,74%), bakat (9,18%), model pembelajaran (8,54%), indikator kebutuhan (6,28%), kompetensi sosial (5,97%), indikator bangunan (5,77%), kompetensi kepribadian (5,43%), dan kompetensi pedagogik (5,30%).Disimpulkan bahwa, metode pembelajaran adalah faktor yang paling berpengaruh terhadap tumbuhnya minat belajar siswa di SD Islam Athirah Makassar kelas 4.

This study aims to describe the effect of application of SQ3R method and PQ3R method to students' reading skill. This research uses experimental method, Quasi Experimental Design research form with Nonequivalent Control Group Design design. Population in this research is all student of Study Program of Language and Literature of Indonesia semester 6 which amounted to 243. The sample used is class C Morning and class C afternoon obtained by simple random sampling technique. The technique used is the measurement with the tool in the form of reading test in the form of multiple choice which amounted to 30 items. Data analysis technique used in this research is anava 2 lane. Based on the result of data analysis, it is known that the application of SQ3R method and PQ3R method is good with the details as follows: (1) The average value before given treatment 20,476 with enough category; (2) the average application of the SQ3R method is 22.097 with good category; (3) the average percentage of PQ3R method is 22,045 with good category.   Keywords: method SQ3R, PQ3R method, read     Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan pengaruh penerapan metode SQ3R dan metode PQ3R terhadap keterampilan membaca mahasiswa. Teknik yang digunakan yaitu pengukuran dengan alatnya berupa tes membaca berupa pilihan ganda yang berjumlah 30 butir soal. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah anava 2 jalur. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data, diketahui bahwa penerapan metode SQ3R dan Metode PQ3R tergolong baik dengan rincian sebagai berikut: (1) Nilai rata-rata sebelum diberikan perlakuan 20,476 dengan kategori cukup; (2)  rata-rata penerapan metode SQ3R sebesar 22,097 dengan katergori baik; (3) persentase rata-rata metode PQ3R sebesar 22,045 denga kategori baik.   Kata kunci: metode SQ3R, metode PQ3R, membaca
