Learning disorders are defined as problems in securing of developmental skills, academic achievement, social adjustment and secondarily emotional growth and development as a consequence of perceptual and linguistic processing deficits. The prevalence of learning disorders is 15.17 % in Southern India. In ayurvedic classics no separate narrative of such disease is seen, but many times delayed developmental skills such as Vāksḳalanam, alpamedha-smṛti etc. are stated and different remedies are considered for them. The Indriyās (sense faculties), Manas (mind), Buddhi (intellect) are comprised in the process of Jñānotpatti. Any altered function in these components hampers the learning process. Even if several studies have been conducted in Ayurveda on Learning disorder, the area remains still non conclusive. This is an attempt to report the studies from the postgraduate institute for Ayurveda psychiatry, with the available conclusions so as to augment the accessible possibilities in the clinical practice.

Mothers of 20 children with learning disorders completed questionnaires concerning the histories and current problems of their children. All the children had average or above average IQs, but below average academic achievement. Compared with a control group of 20 mothers matched for years of education, the mothers of children with learning disorders made significantly more spelling errors per 100 words. The differences in number of spelling errors between learning disorder and control groups was greater for mothers with 12 or fewer years of education than for mothers with more than 12 yr. of education.

Success in the subject of fiqh is one component that measures the success of the learning process, in addition to achieving academic achievement but has a major influence on the growth and development of student character. So by motivating students is one form of encouragement that comes from outside the individual or from within the individual to influence every activity of students in participating in learning activities. Based on the phenomena that arises there are still many students who follow the lessons have not been effective so that the value obtained is still under standard. Nursing is a respect for dignity and treating every person equally. Qualifying competent and ethical nurses requires the incorporation of a professional code of ethics with clinical nursing practice. However, no study was conducted on the relationship between professional ethics and clinical nursing practice. Therefore this study aimed to determine correlation between professional ethics and pediatrics clinical practice from an achievement perspective. Accordingly, cross-sectional study design was conducted at Mizan-Tepi University using nursing students’ academic achievements at professional ethics and pediatric practice. Collected data were entered into Epi info 7. SPSS version 21.0 was used to calculate spearman’s rho correlation ( rs) and coefficient of determination ( R2) at P  < .05. A total of 316 study participants comprising of 209 (66.14%) male and 107 (33.86%) female nursing students included in the current study. Nursing students’ academic achievements at professional ethics was significantly and positively associated with achievements at pediatrics clinical practice ( rs  = 0.4-0.6), P < .001. Linear regression results revealed 25% to 26.7% coefficient determination for regular students and 18% to 22.9% for summer nursing students. To sum up, there was a significant positive association between achievements of students at professional ethics and pediatrics clinical practice. Therefore increasing students’ academic achievement in professional ethics can further improve their achievements at pediatrics clinical practice. However, academic achievement in professional ethics explained 22.35% of the variability in achievements at pediatric clinical practice. 77.65% of the variability in pediatrics clinical practice was due to other factors that deserve another study.

Abstract Objective: To examine the frequency of specific learning disorder (SLD) among primary school children of Sarai Alamgir, Pakistan. Methods: The current cross-sectional study was conducted from January to July 2018 in Sarai Alamgir. Multistage stratified sampling technique was used to select the sample from target population (N=914) of school children studying in 3rd and 4th class of six primary schoolsof Sarai Alamgir, Pakistan.Sample of n=837 children was selected through the Taro Yamane formula. Structured Clinical Diagnostic Interviews based on DSM-V (APA, 2013) diagnostic criteria of specific learning disorder were used to collect data. Children were approached in their classes. Screening tool was applied on all selected children to screen out the vulnerable cases. After screening the vulnerable cases, diagnostic criteria of different specific learning disorders were applied on all vulnerable cases. The frequencies and percentages were analyzed to see the frequency  of learning disorder among children. Results:Findings indicate that 174 (20.7%) children were vulnerable to specific learning disorders out of sample of 837 children. Total 13 (7.5%) children were diagnosed as suffering from different specific learning disorders from vulnerable participants. From vulnerable cases, 1(7.7%) childfulfilled the diagnostic criteria of reading impairment, 3 (23.1%) were diagnosed with mathematics impairment, 4 (30.8%) with multiple impairments in mathematics and writing, 1 (7.7%) with multiple impairments in mathematics and reading, 1 (7.7%) with multiple impairments in reading and writing, and 3 (23.1%) children were diagnosed as suffering from multiple impairments in mathematics, reading and writing. The themes included in this book, involving active collaborators, confirm the need to fill the gap for health and education professionals. By presenting information from reliable sources and step-by-step activities to implement interventions with visual and phonological, dysgraphic, dyscalculic and ADHD dyslexics, it aims to provide effective procedures for screening, evaluation, intervention selection and monitoring. Issues examined such as visual dyslexia analyze developmental dyslexia as a condition that has been associated with motor difficulties, but little is known about what is shared or differentiated between its subtypes. The assessment of dyscalculia, which is often neglected, is clearly presented providing a tool for assessment and addressing family or support networks of students with Learning Disorders deepens our understanding Understanding the development of the school allows us to recognize specific situations that are often ignored. All activities have multisensory instruction, that is, students use more than one sense at a time, and multisensory instruction offers students more than one way to make connections and learn concepts The contributors to this book are active researchers in the teachinglearning process and the objective was to expand information on Learning Disorders with content chosen in a selective manner, giving relevance to the multidisciplinary team.

This study is a study study that analyzes the role of metacognitive strategies with the help of the PQ4R method on academic achievement of PIAUD students at the Sunan Giri Bojonegoro Institute of Islamic Religion. Students in this case are students who follow the learning process in higher education who are required to equip themselves with standardized competencies created with academic achievement, as a provision to take positions and support in an increasingly competitive world of work. Based on the results of data analysis of interviews, observations and questionnaires showed that the use of metacognitive strategies with the help of the PQ4R method had a significant role in student academic achievement in cognitive courses.

<p>For achieve educational equity, government, private and non government organization provide scholarships. Scholarships are awarded as an effort to empower the recipients. Therefore this study aims to (1) analyze the scholarship program based on the concept of empowerment, (2) measure the factors that influence academic achievement of grantees. This research was conducted to 41 grantees Beastudi Etos at Jabodetabek during November-December 2013. The results showed that the scholarship is effective to be an empowerment program. Because it increase achievement motivation of grantees, and create positif environment to support learning process.</p><p>Keywords: academic achievement, effectiveness of scholarship</p>

During this time many people were found to achieve the required high learningachievement intellectual intelligence (IQ) is also high. However, EQ good can determine thesuccess of individuals in learning achievement in building a successful career, and can reducethe aggressiveness, especially among teenagers purpose of this study was to determinewhether there is a relationship of emotional intelligence toward student learning achievementProdi DIII Midwifery Curup Semester II and IV. This research was conducted in the ProdiDIII Midwifery Curup from July to August 2016, with the number of respondents, thisresearch is descriptive analytic, data collection using a scale based on the theory of emotionalintelligence Daniel Goleman; to measure student achievement used methods of examinationof documents by the second half saw the value of IP, IV and population II and IV semesterstudent, taken by total population, the data was analyzed by univariate and bivariate. Theresults of the analysis of experimental data showed correlation coefficient of 0.635 with p0.005 (<0.05), the Ha accepted. This means that there is a significant relationship betweenemotional intelligence and academic achievement of students Prodi DIII Midwifery Curup IIand IV semester of 2016. To develop and optimize the emotional intelligence plays a role instudent success both in school and in the surrounding environment, it is recommended to thecampus, especially the lecturer-dosenagar incorporate elements emosioal intelligence inpresenting the material as well as the emotions involved in the learning process
