The values ​​of the national character become an important problem if there is still a disgraceful attitude or behavior carried out by a person in his daily life which results in disrupting the life of the community, nation and state. The rapid development of times and technology without good character or behavior will be a problem. The attitudes and behavior of a student that we often encounter, such as fights between students, brawls, drug abuse, drinking and promiscuity will have a negative impact on the development of student character. Synergy is needed between parents, teachers and the community in character building and development. In Pancasila and Citizenship Education aims to make someone a good citizen, have character and make a human being who is democratic and has Pancasila values. The formation of student or student character cannot be obtained instantly, of course, through a process according to a person's stages of development. Forming a character takes a continuous amount of time which eventually becomes an expected character. A comprehensive approach will be able to develop and make someone have good character. The formation and development of character with a comprehensive approach, namely through inculcation or planting of values, giving role models, facilitation ​​and the development of skills (soft skill).

There is still a lack of knowledge on the society in Carita District, Pandeglang Regency, Banten Province about the importance of character values. It happens because that is a remote area so that they rarely get direction and guidance, especially related to the value of the character, the solution is the need for a workshop about Implementation of the National Movement of the Revolutionary Mental in Sub-district Carita, Pandeglang Regency, Banten Province. The GNRM workshop is a movement to change the way of thinking of society or youth, change the way of work that has been done so far to be more advanced, change the way of life, as well as attitudes and behavior of society which will further improve aspects of integrity, high ethical aspects and the spirit of mutual cooperation based on Pancasila and the 1945 Constitution. This workshop is divided into two themes, namely: a) "Implementation of the Cultivation of National Character Values that support the National Movement of the Mental Revolution in the society of Carita Sub-district, Pandeglang Regency, Banten Province". The purpose of the workshop is of course very useful for the society in Carita Sub-district to understand the nature of the implementation of character values which will later be practiced in everyday life. b) "Local wisdom that supports the National Movement of Mental Revolution in the society of Carita Sub-district, Pandeglang Regency, Banten Province". The purpose of this workshop is that the society of Carita are expected to preserve local culture as a national cultural heritage that is not lost even with the very rapid development of the era and towards the era of society 4.0.

Character Building Education in this era has become concerning by so many institutions of education. Institution of education is not only preparing the student to have knowledge or become smart, cleaver, but also preparing them to become good person. Of course, there are so many definitions about good person. But in this paper, author means  that the good person is they who are not only having soft skill like communication skills, leadership skills, team work skills, initiative & enterprise skills, organization skills, problem solving and ethical decisions making skills. All these skills are very important for every people on this era. It is difficult to think about people will gain a success without mastering these skill. According to author, all the skills above, although important, they are not enough. All the skills must be built on certain values.  In this context both hard skills and soft skills should be based on certain values. As an institution of education, Binus University has certain values. They consist of trust in God, farsighted, freedom to innovate, embrace diversity and tenacious focus. The attitude and behavior of all binusian has to reveal these values. Character Building learning on this point is not only coaching the student in mastering the soft skill above, but also to internalize the values of Binus. So, Values of Binus will inspire all binusian. This paper explains the position of character building learning as a goal setting to internalize the values of binus. To describe the position of character building learning, author uses the concept social action of Talcott Parson.

AbstractIt has been thought that sportspersons, through their participation in sport, acquire moral attitudes and behavior that make them good moral role models. These moral attitudes and behavior can be called the ethos of sport, and consist of the principles of fair play and courage, justice, and honesty. In this article, it is argued that this belief is mistaken. Through four very common examples of sporting practice, it is shown that sport, contrary to providing a good basis for proper moral behavior, promotes what otherwise would be called non-moral attitudes and behavior. As a conclusion, it is pointed out that sportspersons might very well be good moral role models, but that they would be moral role models in spite of the fact that they are involved in sporting activities.

Environmental issues are problems that arise from the results of greedy human activities in exploiting nature. Many environmental issues have made humans vulnerable to disasters. The utilization of energy resources carried out by humans today results in air pollution, the greenhouse effect, and global warming. The environment becomes degraded due to human activation, a degraded environment will only have a negative impact on human life. This article discusses human knowledge and attitudes towards environmental issues. Environmental knowledge is general knowledge about facts, concepts, or relationships related to the surrounding environment and its ecosystem. Every human being has different environmental knowledge because it is influenced by factors of education, experience, information, the area of residence. Knowledge of the environment that humans have will support their environmental attitudes and behavior. Every environmental issue that occurs will bring up two kinds of attitudes in the community, namely positive and negative attitudes. Every attitude possessed by humans will determine what steps they will choose in facing environmental issues, such as turning off lights, turning off electronic equipment, choosing vehicles with minimal emissions.

Hindu teachings contain a lot about character education, morals, ethics and manners. Moral education can be seen in the story of Sundara Kanda, which is a sub of Itihasa in the Ramayana epic that tells the journey of life with various obstacles and tests that must be faced with full fortitude, strength and determination. Every event that occurs in the Sundara Kanda story is a unified narrative unit in resolving the conflict of every event. The setting in this story uses the setting of Mount Mainaka, Alengka Palace, Taman Angsoka, Kiskinda kingdom. The character is Hanuman who becomes a central figure, then there are goddesses Sitā and Ravana. The accompanying figures are Trijata, Wibisana, Anggada, Jembawan, Sugriwa, Laksmana and Rama. Rahwana as the Antagonist, then there are also giants. His mandate is loyalty and determination in carrying out dharma. Character characters contained in the Sundara Kanda story include characterization displayed through the use of the character's name, through the appearance of the character, and characterization through the author's speech. In accordance with the characters contained in Hindu teachings, namely in the book of Bhagawadgita, the characters in the Sundara Kanda story can be grouped into two characters namely daivi sampad and asuri sampad. The values ​​contained in the character of the Sundara Kanda story include religious, honesty, responsibility, tolerance, discipline, and hard work. As a whole, the character's character value is a national character that should be inculcated and developed to the wider community, in order to shape the attitudes and behavior of a person in carrying out the duties and obligations that should be carried out both towards oneself, the family environment, society, nation and state.

Abstract:. The purpose of this research is to describe the character profile of the national spirit, the learning management design model for the formation of the character of the national spirit, the implementation of learning to form the character of the national spirit, the assessment used to measure the success of the performance of the character building of the national spirit, and the learning outcomes of the performance of the character building of the spirit nationality of public and religious elementary school students. A qualitative approach with a multi-case research design was used in this study. The locations in this study were SDN Pandanwangi 3 Malang and SD Muhammadiyah 8 KH Mas Mansyur Malang. Data mining used observation, interview, and documentation study techniques, using constant comparative analysis techniques. The results of this study were that the two schools innovated the character values according to the conditions and situations the school had. Learning is carried out by delivering material and giving assignments, and class teachers also integrate the character values of the national spirit through activities outside the classroom. The implementation of learning is integrated with the character values of the national spirit by developing indicators in the lesson plans (RPP). The standard of measurement used by schools is through detailed attitude assessments through RPP. During the process of implementing the national spirit character values that have been carried out by the school, there have been visible changes in the attitudes and behavior of students in a positive direction.Abstrak: Tujuan dari penelitian ini yakni untuk mendeskripsikan profil karakter semangat kebangsaan, model rancangan manajemen pembelajaran untuk pembentukan karakter semangat kebangsaan, pelaksanaan pembelajaran untuk  pembentukan karakter semangat kebangsaan, assesment yang digunakan untuk mengukur keberhasilan performansi pembentukan karakter semangat kebangsaan, dan learning outcomes dari performansi pembentukan karakter semangat kebangsaan peserta didik sekolah dasar umum dan keagamaan. Pendekatan kualitatif dengan rancangan penelitian multi kasus digunakan dalam penelitian ini. Lokasi dalam penelitian ini yaitu SDN Pandanwangi 3 Malang dan SD Muhammadiyah 8 KH Mas Mansyur Malang. Penggalian data menggunakan teknik observasi, wawancara, dan studi dokumentasi, dengan menggunakan teknik analisis komparatif konstan. Hasil penelitian ini yakni kedua sekolah menginovasikan nilai karakter sesuai dengan kondisi dan situasi yang dimiliki sekolah. Pembelajaran dilakukan dengan penyampaian materi dan pemberian tugas, serta guru kelas juga mengintegrasikan nilai karakter semangat kebangsaan melalui kegiatan di luar kelas. Pelaksanaan pembelajaran diintegrasikan dengan nilai karakter semangat kebangsaan dengan mengembangkan indikator dalam RPP. Standar pengukuran yang digunakan oleh sekolah yaitu melalui penilaian sikap yang sudah dirinci melalui RPP. Selama proses pelaksanaan nilai karakter semangat kebangsaan yang sudah dilakukan sekolah sudah terlihat perubahan yang ada pada sikap dan perilaku peserta didik ke arah yang positif.

Research on the field of using social media has gained more importance in the recent days due to the rapid development of social media technologies. Looking at the behavioral intention and attitude of using social media for collaborative learning within Malaysian higher educational institutions and the influencing factors in this regard has received little attention by researchers. The study aims at examining the determinants that affect learners’ attitude and behavior intention regarding their use social media to achieve collaborative learning. Such examination is carried out by using the Theory Acceptance Model (TAM) and Unified Theory of Acceptance and Usage of Technology (UTAUT). A total of 243 participants were recruited for this study. The findings indicated that students’ attitudes and behavior are strong indicators of their intentions in terms of using social media in collaborative learning.

The rapid development of online-social media has now provided greater convenience for transactions and interaction. It also greatly affects the mindset and behavior of user communication. Any information that is both positive and negative can easily be accessed by the public. And in admit or not, slowly began to change the pattern of life and thought patterns of people, especially bad language or hate speech with all the images that characterize them. The study of literature encourages empathy, tolerance for diversity, imagination and emotional intelligence which is the understanding of feelings, both of one’s own and the others and literature as a medium in increasing the higher order thinking skill. The research is qualitative and descriptive in nature.  The feminist paradigm of thought, a key framework among the poststructuralist paradigms and cognitive language are used as the conceptual framework for the execution of the research to reveal the creativity of Helen Keller. The method is qualitative descriptive. Helen Keller who after her illness, her infancy and early childhood were a succession of days of frustration become wild, unruly child" who kicked, scratched and screamed but literary works shaped her language and character into polite, creative, and empathy woman.

The character has become a central aspect of education. It has given much more influence on the success of education in the nation. The term character is defined as an individual’s set of psychological characteristics that affect a person’s ability and inclination to function morally. It is comprised of those characteristics that lead a person to do or not to do the right thing. Numerous character values in education have been discussed and proposed by experts. One of them is honesty which significantly affects learners’ attitudes and behavior to do an act properly. Building a character of honesty in language learning can be done in many ways. One of them is through scientific writing. Writing is not only about “what” and: how” to write. Further, it deals with academic honesty which requires students to behave following character values. At this point, the issue of plagiarism should come into attention to build students’ characters. This paper aims to discuss how scientific writing promotes character building, especially in language learning.

The development of science and technology, as well as the ease of access to information, can have a negative impact on people's attitudes and behavior, including the phenomenon of the diminishing patriotism of the younger generation. An attitude of patriotism is the initial foundation for state life and becomes the joints of life in the daily life of citizens. This study examines Islamic Religious Education as a basis for strengthening students' patriotism attitudes. This study aims to describe and demonstrate the role of Islamic Religious Education in strengthening students' patriotism attitudes. This study was conducted at Kemala Bhayangkari 1 Senior High School Surabaya using a qualitative approach. Data collection was carried out through observation and in-depth interviews. The results showed that Islamic Religious Education contains teachings and values ​​that strengthen students' patriotism. Strategies for strengthening patriotism in Islamic Religious Education through exemplary advice and habituation in everyday life at school. This Islamic Religious Education Model is an alternative solution to arouse students' patriotism.
