Maritime tourism has become a competitive opportunity for many island destinations in search of sustainable development. This article aims to analyze the hypothesis that tourist satisfaction with nautical destinations depends on the experience of previous visits to competing destinations. This hypothesis is relevant in order to ascertain the extent of potential coopetition between tourist destinations from the point of view of the consumers. This may ask for the need of cooperation within the competitive environment in which tourist destinations manage sustainability. The evidence is obtained from the case of Cape Verde, an archipelago strongly committed to the development of the nautical sector. Survey data from nautical tourists’ satisfaction visiting Cape Verde is modeled utilizing an ordinal logistic approach. Results show that tourist satisfaction with Cape Verde increases with the authenticity of the cultural experience offered by the destination, the diversity and quality of the nautical offer and the security perceived. Moreover, tourists declaring a satisfactory travel experience in other recently visited islands have higher levels of satisfaction with the nautical destination of Cape Verde. This suggests that proper strategies for nautical tourism development in these islands should not only allow tourists to discover the best cultural and local values of the destination, but also enhance their awareness of the quality of the experience provided by island competitors and, therefore establishing a benchmark for the common benefit of all island destinations becomes of interest. In this regard, coopetition strategies among islands with common interests of specialization may allow them to gain better positioning in the international nautical tourism market, and contribute to tourism development and the sustainability of the industry.

The development of modern industrial design has a great influence on the product design, not only on the function and structure of products, but also on the combination between these elements and culture. As one famous folk craft of Shaanxi Guanzhong Xifu, Fengxiang sculpture consists of lot totems, pattern, shape, color and craft elements which could be used in design. Tableware design combined with traditional culture can reflect the functions; at the same time improve the artistic quality of products and rich the interest. Products are endowed with the traditional culture elements, in this way, the product is not only a product, but the new soil of the traditional culture.

This research studies the teaching process of idea communication for industrial product design sketching. The objective of this research is to make a comparative study on the efficiency of two teaching processes between teaching with detailed information and teaching with conceptual frameworks for groups of students who have different learning aptitudes; which are an aptitude in theoretical subjects or an aptitude in practical subjects. The study also included differences in learning styles of the industrial design program undergraduate students. The researchers came up with an experiment of creating sketch design ideas for a product in which the researchers classified the students’ learning processes from curriculum subjects and academic achievements. The results found that curriculum subjects and students’ learning aptitude can be grouped into two major groups: students who have accumulated scores in theoretical subjects and students who have accumulated scores in practical subjects. These two groups of students have different aptitudes in sketch design idea communication processes: a process of sketching with given detailed information and a process of sketching with given conceptual framework. Although these are different processes, the teaching and learning of these two product design processes have the same objectives: to create design ideas and to support design creativity by using the concept of interaction between the brain, hands and shapes that appear on paper to present the sketch product and to guide the teaching and learning of industrial product design, suitable for students who have different characteristics and help increase their academic achievements.

The purpose of the work was to investigate the ideas of Yakym Yarema regarding the moral development of a personality. The content of his report «The Stages of Moral Development» (1937) is analyzed for this purpose. In order to achieve the goal, the digitization of this work was carried out, its scientific and literary editing and analysis. The study of the stages of moral development is carried out in accordance with the logics applied by Ya. Yarema: firstly, a general overview of the concepts and criteria of moral and immoral, then – periodization in accordance with different criteria and analysis of recommended methods of educational influence, relevant at different stages of the development of morality. Moral and immoral Yakym Yarema categorizes from the point of view of the participation of consciousness in the implementation of morally evaluated acts, which significantly distinguishes it from traditional educational approaches. Concerning the criteria for the classification of degrees, the scholar distinguishes between three: the common course of social and moral development; the basis of the legitimization of moral norms; development of the quality of motivation as a motive for moral development. According to each criterion, Ya. Yarema described three levels of moral development: premoral (neutral, immoral), second and third (different names according to the classification criterion). His conclusions on the transition from the second to the third stages and the conditions under which it occurs (or does not happen), the completion of moral development (quantitatively) in the second stage and incompleteness as a specific characteristic of the development of qualitative indicators of moral consciousness are pedagogically important. The methods of moral education proposed by Yakym Yarema are correlated with age characteristics, qualitative characteristics of individual degrees and social environments of different magnitude.

In recent years, there has been a lot of discussion about the quality of studies and, in general, about the education quality. This article deals with problems related to the quality of education and studies in higher schools i.e., universities and colleges. As we know, the quality of studies depends not only on level of motivation and cleverness of students, how well developed the infrastructure of institutions is and so on. Probably, even more, the quality of studies depends on scientific pedagogical personnel, the one, which directly determines the prepara-tion of a future student. However, it is impossible to neither increase nor grow up or expand artificially the quali-fication of the personnel. This depends on many things. It seems that those who form Lithuanian education poli-tics have chosen an easier way- have reduced already small qualification requirements. Of course, traditionally essential differences remain here among physical, biomedical, technology and humanitarian and social field scien-tists. For the former it is quite understandable that the results of education have to be announced in the top rated international educational publications. It seems to be general truth. It is natural that so-called minimal requirements for the scientists of these areas are considerably higher comparing to other scientific field representatives. The requirements are especially lessened for those who work in humanitarian and social science fields. International practice is rather varied. The common thing is that it is sought to maintain rather high but flexible requirements. International practice is not monolithic. It is determined by both settled traditions and other factors. However, Lithuania should not follow only formal attitude. For those who seek science career, universal-ly acknowledged standards and criteria have to be applied. Science, in some sense, has strong immunity, but in recent years, it has been rapidly weakened both inter-nally and externally. Of course, we have to believe, that universities will understand that it is firstly on them to save and strengthen both quality of activities and prestige and develop real but not demonstrated science. Europe “has been having a headache” for a long time thinking how to withstand ever - strengthening competition with such regions as North America (especially USA), South-east Asia and so on. Lithuania, artificially augmenting the number of professors, will not make improvements in the science itself. We will look better from the statistic point of view, but it will even more hinder any development of science in the country. Key words: quality of studies, requirements, qualification of the personnel.
