AbstractStroke is a brain functional disorder characterized by nerve paralysis due to obstruction of blood flow to the brain. The frequent impact if a post-stroke client is not carried out with rehabilitation immediately will result in mobility disorder that can impede daily physical activity. One pratice in the rehabilitation process is to prevent disability in a client with post-stroke physical mobility disorder that is, by performing a Range Of Motion rope. The case study is intended to illustrate application of roma exercises to boost muscle strength. The method of writing the case study USES a descriptive design and case studies reported in narration. The instrumrnts used are observation sheets and structured observation sheets covering the assessment of muscle strength. The resulth of the case study have been after the six-meeting application of roma that the roma can increase muscle strength in subject. I the average muscle strength 3.31 to 3.50 and subject II average muscle strength 3.68 to 3,93. The conclusion of the case study increased muscle strength after the practice of roma. Suggestions for the family in order to train ROM for family members who had suffered stroke. Keywords: Stroke, muscle strength, ROM AbstrakStroke adalah penyakit nerulogis terbanyak yang dapat mengakibatkan disfungsi motorik dan sensorik.Dampak yang sering muncul jika klien pasca stroke tidak dilakukan rehabiltasi dengan segera maka akan mengalami gangguan mobilitas yang dapat menghambat aktivitas fisik sehari-hari. Saalah satu bentuk latihan dalam proses rehabilitasi untuk mencegah terjadinya kecacatan pada klien dengan gangguan mobilitas fisik pasca stroke yaitu dengan melakukan latihan Range Of Motion ROM. Studi kasus ini bertujuan untuk menggambarkan penerapan latihan ROM untuk meningkatkan kekuatan otot. Metode penulisan studi kasus ini menggunakan rancangan deskriptif dan hasil studi kasus dilaporkan dalam bentuk narasi. Instrumen yang digunakan yaitu lembar pengkajian dan lembar observasi terstruktur meliputi penilaian kekuatan otot. Hasil studi kasus setelah dilakukan penerapan ROM selama 6 pertemuan bahwa ROM dapat meningkatkan kekuatan otot pada Subyek I nilai rata-rata kekuatan otot 3,31 menjadi 3,50 dan Subyek II nilai rata-rata kekuatan otot 3,68 menjadi 3,93. Simpulan studi kasus ini terjadi peningkatan kekuatan otot setelah dilakukan latihan ROM. Saran bagi keluarga agar dapat melatih ROM pada anggota keluarga yang mengalmi stroke. Abstract A stroke is an injury to the brain caused by a blockage obstruction of blood flow to the brain. Weakness in the limbs is often found in patients with strokes. Range Of Motion therapy may help to increase the muscle strength that is experencing weakness, avoiding complications from inactivity, such us contractions. This study aims to describe the effect of ROM Therapy in stroke patients with impaired physical mobility. The design of the scientific essay was a case study of two stroke clients who had msucle weakness. A research instrument is an obsevation sheet on the scale of the muscle strength. This case study was conducted for six days of ROM therapy with a frequency of twice a day.The case study result showed that two respondents experienced an increase in muscle strength after ROM therapy. This study concludes that ROM therapy may increase muscle strength among stroke patients. Stroke patient families are expected to assist and support the patient during Range Of Motion exercises.Keywords: Muscle weakness strength, Range Of Motion, Stroke. Abstrak Stroke merupakan keadaan cidera pada otak yang disebabkan sumbatan atau obstruksi aliran darah menuju otak. Kelemahan pada anggota gerak sering dijumpai pada pasien dengan stroke. Pemberian terapi Range Of Motionbermanfaat untuk meningkatkan kekuatan otot yang mengalami kelemahan, menghindari komplikasi akibat kurang gerak, seperti kontraktur. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menggambarkan penerapan terapi ROM pada pasien stroke dengan gangguan mobilitas fisik. Desain karya tulis ilmiah berupa studi kasus pada 2 klien stroke yang mengalami masalah kelemahan otot. Instrumen penelitian berupa lembar observasi mengenai skala kekuatan otot. Studi kasus ini dilakukan selama 6 hari dengan frekuensi 2 kali sehari dengan intervensi penerapan terapi Range Of Motion (ROM). Hasil studi kasus menunjukan masalah gangguan mobilitas fisik yang dialami kedua responden mengalami peningkatan kekuatan setelah dilakukan terapi ROM. Kesimpulan terapi Range Of Motion(ROM) dapat untuk mningkatkan kekuatan otot pada pasien stroke. Saran bagi keluarga diharapkan keluarga untuk selalu melakukan pendampingan saat dilakukaSaran bagi keluarga diharapkan keluarga untuk selalu melakukan pendampingan saat dilakukan implementasi agar dapat menjadi supporting sistem bagi pasien dan dapat mengerti sehingga dapat membantu klien dalam melakukan latihan rentang gerak otot.Kata kunci: Kelemahan kekuatan otot, Range Of Motion, Stroke.

AbstractStroke is a brain disorder that occurs due to damage to part of the brain caused by blocked blood vessels so that the flow of oxygen is not met properly. Stroke can cause death, paralysis, impaired speech, and decreased consciousness. The purpose of this case study was to increase lower extremity muscle strength by using ROM exercises. The method used was a case study by providing nursing care to two elderly post-stroke using Active Rom exercises. The results of this case study before doing active ROM on client I experienced a decrease in muscle strength with a percentage of 25 degrees 2 and client II experienced a decrease in muscle strength with a percentage of 25 degrees 2. After doing active ROM there was an increase in muscle strength in client I with a percentage of 75 degrees 4 and on client II with a percentage of 50 degrees 3. This case study can be said that the application of active range of motion (ROM) exercises can increase lower extremity muscle strength in the elderly after stroke. This case study is a consideration for nurses and other health workers to apply active ROM exercises in post-stroke patients.Key words : Gerontic Nursing Care, Elderly Post-Stroke, Active ROM. AbstrakStroke adalah gangguan pada otak yang terjadi karena adanya gangguan kerusakan pada sebagian otak disebabkan karena pembuluh darah yang tersumbat sehingga aliran oksigen tidak terpenuhi dengan baik. Penyakit stroke dapat menyebabkan kematian, kelumpuhan, gangguan berbicara, dan menurunkan kesadaran. Tujuan dari studi kasus ini adalah untuk meningkatkan kekuatan otot ekstremitas bawah dengan menggunakan latihan ROM. Metode yang digunakan adalah studi kasus dengan memberikan asuhan keperawatan pada dua lansia pasca stroke dengan menggunakan latihan Rom Aktif. Hasil studi kasus ini sebelum dilakukan ROM aktif pada klien I mengalami penurunan kekuatan otot dengan presentase 25 derajat 2 dan klien II mengalami penurunan kekuatan otot dengan presentase 25 derajat 2. Setelah dilakukan ROM aktif terjadi peningkatan kekuatan otot pada klien I dengan presentase 75 derajat 4 dan pada klien II dengan presentase 50 derajat 3. Kesimpulan studi kasus ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan latihan range of motion (ROM) aktif dapat meningkatkan kekuatan otot ekstremitas bawah  pada lansia pasca stroke. Studi kasus ini sebagai pertimbangan bagi perawat dan tenaga kesehatan lain untuk menerapkan latihan ROM aktif pada pasien pasca strokeKata kunci: Asuhan Keperawatan Gerontik, Lansia Pasca Stroke, ROM aktif.

<p><em>The increasing of Life Expectancy has raised the population of the elderly. The highest population number of elderly in Indonesia can be found in Yogyakarta Special Region with 13.05%. The increasing life expectancy brings normal and pathological changes in the elderly as it relates to aging process in various systems. Normal changes are seen in the musculoskeletal system that is in the complete loss of muscle at the age of 80 (30%-50%). The changes can be found in such cases as rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, and osteoporosis. Such changes have made the elderly susceptible to hindrances of physical mobility which can be treated by giving range of motion (ROM) Exercises. The purpose of study to find out the effect of ROM Exercises against physical mobility for the elderly in </em><em>Center for Social Services, Tresna Werdha, Unit Abiyoso Yogyakarta</em><em>. This study was a qualitative research with an action research design. A purposive sampling method was used to collect the data from 5 respondents. Results: Physical mobility in elderly consists of five themes, namely range of motion, muscle strength, comfort, posture, and movement. ROM exercises provides changes in the ROM, comfort, and movement, but no change in the muscle strength and posture. Changes in the range of motion are found in the increased level of the range of motion which is seen in neck area and in reduced joint stiffness. Changes in comfort are seen in a feeling of happiness and less pain; yet, shortness of breath is not reduced. Changes in movement, which are different for every elderly, can be seen in increased gait speed, increased comfort which is the effect of fine motor skills, and decreased trembling. Conclusion: Some ROM exercises show effects on the physical mobility of the elderly. The effects can be traced from increased range of motion, comfort, and gait speed. Yet, the elderly’s posture and muscle strength do not experience any changes. </em></p>

AbstractStroke is an acute neurocological disease caused by blood vessel disorders in the brain that occur suddenly and can cause symptoms according to areas in the brain that occur suddenly and can cause symptoms of paralysis, difficulty speaking, numbness of one side of the body and other disorders. ROM (Range of Motion) exercise is the maximum number of movements performed by the joints under normal conditions where a person moves each joint according to normal movements either actively or passively.The purpose of this scientific paper is to determine the effect of giving Range Of Motion (ROM) on increasing muscle strength in stroke patients.There is a difference in the mean (mean) before giving Range Of Motion therapy is 2.65 and after giving Range Of Motion is 3.62, there is an effect of giving Range Of Motion (ROM) therapy. Most of the respondents were male with a partial presentation (70%) and (30%) female, the age of the respondent in this study was >56 years old. Prior to ROM therapy, the degree of muscle strength was categorized as 0 to degree 2 and after ROM therapy, the degree of muscle strength was categorized as grade 2 to degree 4. The conclusion was that there was an increase in muscle strength before and after Range Of Motion (ROM) therapy. Tujuan karya tulis ilmiah ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian Range Of Motion (ROM) Terhadap peningkatan kekuatan otot pada pasien stroke.Terdapat perbedaan rata-rata (mean) sebelum pemberian terapi Range Of Motion adalah 2,65 dan sesudah pemberian Range Of Motion adalah 3,62, terdapat pengaruh pemberian terapi Range Of Motion (ROM). Responden terbanyak berjenis kelamin laki-laki dengan presentasi sebagian (70%) dan (30%) perempuan, umur respoden pada penelitian ini berusia >56 tahun. Sebelum dilakukan terapi ROM derajat kekuatan otot termasuk katagori 0 hingga derajat 2 dan sesudah dilakukan terapi ROM derajat kekuatan otot termasuk kategori derajat 2 hingga derajat 4. AbstractElderly is one who has more than or equal to the age limit of 55 years, and at this age, physical mobility disorders often occur. It is the one's limitation in performing movements independently. One of the symptoms is getting paralysis or muscle weakness in the limbs. This study aims to observe and invesgate changes in range of motion with weakness in the extremities. The method applied on two families of elderly client after stoke was applying ROM therapy. The results shows on the first family, after applying ROM practices 6 times, there is a changes in range of motion. The client could fully practice ROM. The right leg is lighter when walking and the right arm can shake is hands family. Meanwhile, the result obtained from the later family, after practicing ROM 7 times, there is a change in range of motion. The left leg is lighter when walking and the fingers get better, not clenched. Thus, it could be concluded that this therapy can improve the changes in range of motion on the elderly clients after stroke. Furthermore, is expected to the nurses to teach this therapy on their clients. Tujuan studi kasus ini adalah untuk perubahan rentang gerak yang mengalami kelemahan pada ekstremitas. Metode yang digunakan pada dua keluarga klien lansia pasca stroke dengan memberikan terapi ROM. Hasil studi kasus ini 2 keluarga terjadi perubahan rentang gerak, pada keluarga I setelah dilakukan latihan ROM selama 6x terjadi perubahan rentang gerak dimana klien dapat melakukan ROM secara penuh. Kaki kanan terasa lebih ringan ketika berjalan dan berjabat tangan dengan kuat. Hasil keluarga II setelah dilakukan latihan ROM selama 7x terjadi perubahan rentang gerak. Kaki kiri terasa lebih ringan ketika berjalan dan jari tangan sudah membaik tidak mengepal. Kesimpulannya adalah terapi ROM dapat meningkatkan perubahan rentang gerak pada klien lansia pasca stroke. Stroke is a loss of brain function caused by the cessation of blood supply in part of the brain. Death of brain tissue due to stroke can cause muscle weakness in the affected limb such as fingers. This condition affects the ability to move and the quality of life of patients. Patients not only experience paralysis but also experience cognitive impairment, communication disorders, and visual field disorders or deficits in perception. Aims this study was to describe handgrip strength The average age of respondents was 60.5 years with the youngest age 41 years and 80 years of age. The average strength of the handgrip is 7.4 kg with the lowest strength is 1.3 kg and the highest is 18.6 kg. Obtained a relationship between age and muscle strength after stroke (p 0.023). The relationship between age and post-stroke muscle strength shows that the relationship between medium strength and negative patterning means that as you age, muscle strength decreases. So it is necessary to develop the Pattern of Activities and exercises for Post Stroke in Hospitals and the Community.

Gout Artritis merupakan salah satu penyakit yang telah lama dikenal dan sampai saat ini masih menjadi penyebab berbagai penyakit. Prevalensi gout artritis menurut World Health Organization (WHO) tahun 2018 gout artritis mengalami kenaikan dengan jumlah 1.370 (33,3%). Gangguan mobilitas fisik ini sering menjadi masalah keperawatan pada kasus Gout Artritis akibat kadar purin tinggi dalam darah, maka tubuh akan meresponnya dengan ditandai adanya hambatan mobilitas fisik pada sendi, menggigil dan badan lemah. Tujuan studi kasus diketahuinya asuhan keperawatan pada salah satu keluarga dengan gangguan mobilitas fisik akibat gout artritis di wilayah kerja Puskesmas Tahuna Barat. Metode studi kasus adalah desain studi kasus deskriptif dengan subjek studi kasus satu orang klien yang diamati dan berfokus untuk mengajarkan latihan rentang gerak (ROM) dan melibatkan keluarga untuk membantu klien dalam meningkatkan pergerakan. Hasil yang diperoleh : Diagnosa keperawatan gangguan mobilitas fisik berhubungan dengan ketidakmampuan keluarga dalam merawat anggota keluarga yang sakit, subjek studi kasus ditemukan nyeri pada lutut dan keluarga tidak tahu perawatan yang dibutuhkan untuk menanggulangi masalah kesehatan atau penyakit yang dialami yang menyebabkan gangguan mobilitas fisik. Kesimpulan : Masalah pada klien teratasi karena klien sudah dapat bergerak walaupun nyeri hilang dan sudah dapat melakukan mobilisasi dini dengan adanya dukungan keluarga. Saran : Perawat lebih meningkatkan pelayanan serta dapat memberikan pendidikan kesehatan pada klien yang menderita gout artritis.   Gout artritis is a disease that has been known for a long time and is still the cause of various diseases. The purpose of the case study was to find out nursing care in a family with impaired physical mobility due to gout artritis in the work area Puskesmas of the Tahuna Barat. The case study method was a descriptive case study design with a case study subject of one client who was observed and focus on teaching range of motion (ROM) exercise and involve the family to assist the client in improving movement. The result obtained: Nursing diagnosis of impaired physical mobility related to the inability of the family to care of sick family members, case study subjects found knee pain and the family who did not know the treatment needed to overcome health problem or illnesses that caused physical mobility problems. Conclusion: The Problem in the client was resolved because the client was able to move even though the pain was gone and can do early mobilization with family support. Suggestion: Nurse improve services and can provide health education to client who suffering from gout artritis.

Dementia is a chronic progressive brain illness syndrome defined by the loss of numerous cognitive processes, including memory, aphasia, apraxia, agnosia, and executive function. Consciousness is usually unaffected. Psychological and behaviour issues are sometimes present. Dementia is caused by a number of diseases and accidents that affect the brain, either directly or indirectly, such as Alzheimer's disease or stroke. Vascular dementia is a loss of thinking capacity caused by disorders that impede blood flow to certain parts of the brain, depriving brain cells of oxygen and nutrients. After Alzheimer's disease, vascular dementia is the second most frequent kind of dementia. This case study looks at a 76-year-old woman who has vascular dementia. The goal of pharmacological management with risperidone in low dose, as well as psychotherapy, in patients is to preserve and maximize function, reduce behaviour problems, relieve caregiver stress, and delay advancement to the next level. Ginkgo Biloba is one of the plants classified as phytopharmacology or medicines derived from of the plant is Ginkgo biloba Plant G. biloba (Gb) is included in the family Ginkgoaceae. In the G. biloba extract has antioxidant, antiviral, anti-inflammatory, and anti-carcinogenic properties. And also have it was stated that G. biloba extract had a good effect on the function of the CNS (central nervous system).

Stroke is a condition of neurological changes caused by disruption in blood circulation to parts of the brain that experience hemiparese if the handling is not right can cause complications functional disorders, mobilization disorders, disruption of daily activities and disabilities that can not be cured. The purpose of this activity is an evaluation of the knowledge and skills to do post-stroke range of motion exercises conducted on January 29-30, 2020 using the lecture, question and answer method and simulation of post-stroke range of motion patients. The results showed that there was a significant effect after being given a Range of Motion with a value of sig <0.05. Conclusions Most post-stroke sufferers are able to carry out Range of Motion exercises. Suggestions are needed for the support or involvement of family members so that the implementation of the Range of Motion can be carried out continuously in patients after stroke
