For this reason, it is important to see the views of the UIN SU academic community about the convenience of the UIN SU space concept based on knowledge, experience, as Muslims and owners of local culture. in North Sumatra. This research uses descriptive quantitative by using Likert scale in measuring the perception scale of research subjects. The research subjects consisted of structural officials at UIN SU campus, ordinary lecturers, employees, and students. The results showed that the general academics of UIN SU had a positive perception of spatial planning and building layout on the UIN SU Medan campus, which reached an average of 62.25%. However, 60.6% of the academic community still stated that UIN SU infrastructure was not accessible to people with disabilities, 43.7% said that circulation on and off campus was inefficient and 40.8% said that green open space was not enough . These findings indicate that the academic community has a moderate or neutral perception of off-campus circulation, comfort, cleanliness and aroma, and comfort comfort. On the other hand, campus infrastructure development previously did not pay attention to social relations, and buildings in Islamic relations and local culture. Then some supporting infrastructure or facilities are built with students' social relations, and Islamic building structures. For this reason, it is important to look at policies on the need for green open space, infrastructure protection for people with disabilities and unauthorized entrance and exit systems of campus circulation. It is also important to formulate an infrastructure development policy that provides a comfortable space for Muslim worship with a touch of local culture.

Keywords: Campus Spatial, Perception, Comfortable, Sociology of Religion, Social Relation

The global cities of the world are witnessing a visible disconnection of everyday life. In India the Smart City guidelines acknowledge the need to counter the growing social detachment and intolerance by encouraging interactions. They go further in identifying that preserving and creating of open spaces must be a key feature of comprehensive urban development. Most social relations are cemented within open spaces at the neighbourhood level. Previous studies examine the association between the attributes of neighbourhood open spaces and social activity but neglect to view the issue comprehensively. The present study turns to Lefebvre’s Unitary Theory which states that open space is a result of three forces; 1) perceived space which is the physical dimension and material quality identifiable by the senses; 2) conceived space created by planners and other agents as plans and documents; and 3) lived space which is shaped by the values attached and images generated through user experience. For open space conducive to social interactions these three aspects must work in tandem. With this consideration a framework of criteria and indicators is developed and used to measure and compare the open spaces in select neighbourhoods in Europe and India. The investigation thus reveals differences in all three aspects of neighbourhood spaces. It also reveals a discrepancy between the planning standards formulated and employed by the city authorities in providing the spaces and the actual needs of the community. The research aims to address this gap. The study of the Indian cases lays foundation for the use of the framework to measure open spaces in association with social cohesion and thereby contribute to the enhancement of the social infrastructure of the City.

People with disabilities have physical limitations and mental disorders. According to Law No. 8 of 2016 concerning persons with disabilities, people with disabilities are those who experience physical, intellectual, mental and sensory limitations for a long time in interacting with the environments who may experience obstacles and difficulties in participating fully and effectively with other citizens based on equal rights. In relates to that, women with disabilities still experience some social discrimination such as social exclusion, marginalization, stereotypes and violence which may results poverty, unemployment, and life deprivation experienced by women with disabilities as heads of households. With the discrimination they experienced, women with disabilities as human beings always tries to carry out survival strategies to meet their life and family needs. Economic problems experienced by women with disabilities makes them have to carry out a survival strategy. As an analytical tool in this study, researchers used the Subsistence Ethics Theory by Scott (1989). In the Ethical Theory of Subsistence, there are three ways of survival mechanisms, among others are to tighten spending, to have a side job, and to get help from networks outside the family. Using descriptive qualitative research, data was collected through observation, interview and documentation techniques. The data was then analyzed through the process of data reduction, data presentation and verification. The data validation uses source triangulation techniques, technical triangulation and time triangulation. From the results of the study, it can be concluded that most of the research subjects used survival mechanisms by tightening expenditures in order to increase daily expenses. In addition, they have side jobs as farm laborers, odd jobs, and also tailors; as well as utilize the local government aid to meet their daily needs.

The “conflict-generating capacity” of the modern world causes the need for trained mediators specializing in the productive negotiation technology and conflict management in both real and virtual domains of social relations. As a rule, currently existing mediator training programmes do not consider the intercultural contexts of the conflicts, despite their importance in the volatility and uncertainty of the digital medium. The proposed upgrade of the Master’s programme for future mediators relies upon the polyparadigmatic methodology encompassing the system and constructive, culturological, and situation approaches. Connected to the digital transformation of the society, the employment of the new model of mediators’ training in the Master’s programme of Siberian Federal University is based on the development of a networking partnership between the professional mediators’ associations and the universities of Kazakhstan and Siberia. The article elaborates on the mechanisms of providing electronic support of the Master’s programme intended to expand the teaching efficiency of e-learning in the Master’s training at the Federal University. It also presents the organizational and pedagogical conditions together with the methods of training future mediators by means of the electronic media of the university, social media and open education platforms. It provides the empirical data confirming the efficiency of the Master’s programme electronic support system developed and implemented by the authors. The article also presents the results of a psychological and pedagogical experiment in the assessment of personal qualities and professional competences of the future mediators and the results of the Master’s programme review by practicing mediators and the academic community with regard to the Target Competence Model 2025. With the results of the tests and implementation of the new practice-oriented Master’s programme of SibFU, it is now possible to develop a new culture of social interaction within a digital environment based on cooperation, mutual understanding and dialogue, constructive behaviour in a conflict

Abstract Considering the largely unacknowledged connection between Byron and Mary Shelley on the logistics which pertain to the experience of crossing-over cultures, this paper investigates the notion of authentic Italianisation as exemplified in their related texts, and discusses its problematics in the context of the dominant themes and preoccupations in Romantic culture. Thus, on the one hand, my paper examines how the Romantic anticipation of being immersed in local culture and of “going native” is articulated – or rather, performed – by Byron himself, by considering specific rhetorical strategies and figures of filiation he used to ground his relationship to Italian place. More specifically, I contend that although Byron’s polymorphic identification to Italian place is constructed in the imagination, it is also grounded in time- and space-bound actions and involves a structure of social relations. On the other hand, the paper delineates how Byron’s idiosyncratic immersion into Italianness is theorised by Mary Shelley and counted on as a model of second culture acquisition.

The paper presents results of an expedition to the Russian tundra aimed at studying cross-cultural features of perception of perspective and spatial concepts in Nenets dealing with reindeer herding. Both adult Nenets and children experienced difficulties with depicting volumetric features of objects on the flat. Adults' pictures of objects situated at different distances bore the signs of inverse perspective; however, in selecting perspective models they preferred linear perspective images. Reindeer herdsmen displayed a high level of topological and a low level of projective and coordinate spatial concepts in comparison with control results in urban children. The comparison of results in literate and illiterate herdsmen, as well as in younger and older children, showed that the ecological factor of open space in tundra has a stronger influence on spatial perception than the level of education.

The international armed conflict in Ukraine, which has been going on for already more than five years, has caused significant changes in Ukrainian society. More than 1.7 million people have been forced to leave their homes and become internally displaced. In such conditions, the question of identities becomes one of the most important for the affected people. The overall social situation of displacement has contributed to the individual and community self-perception of displaced people, and the creation of the ‘resettlement identity’ among them. Such specific social identity became the main subject of the author's research and will be discussed in the current paper. This article presents the first results of the ongoing research into social identities of displaced people in Ukraine. The research was conducted through a combination of narrative interviews and mental sketch mapping of the respondents' home cities in Donbas and their current places of residence. The research data was analysed from the perspectives of social psychology as well as of human geography, and the results show how the emotion-laden phenomenological experience contributes to spatial perception of the city and to turning space into place. The mapping and narrativization processes make it possible to distinguish the crucial elements of the complex identity of the displaced people: the Donbas identity, the Ukrainian identity, and a specific resettlement identity that simplifies the identification with a huge group of people sharing similar experiences. Our research shows that mental sketch mapping as a method helps to elicit the complexity of identities among the displaced people. Moreover, mapping exercise, combined with a narrative interview, also had a therapeutic effect upon the respondents as the research subjects experienced change during the interview. The complex usage of a position of existential outsideness (Relph 1980) revealed in the research, may be the symptom of a personal crisis. Thus the reflexive work on the maps may be a tool for displaced people to rethink and transform their spatial-temporal coordinates and their identities.
