A quantitative study was conducted among Ist year B.sc nursing students of Mother Teresa College of nursing, Pudukkottai. The main objective of this study is toassess and compare the pre-test and post-test level of stress among I st year B.sc nursing students and to evaluate the effectiveness of laughter yoga exercise on the level of stress among I st year B.sc nursing students. Pre experimental design with Purposive sampling technique was used.50 samples agreed to participate in this study. The data was used by structured questionnaire scheduled. Data was used by descriptive and inferential statistics. The mean score of pre-test level of stress is 8.14 and mean score of post-test level of stress is17.14.The enhancement of knowledge in mean score and SD which the effectiveness of laughter yoga exercises. The analysis depicted that there is reduction of stress level due to online classes among I st year B.sc nursing students which indicates the effectiveness of laughter yoga exercise. The pandemic COVID-19 is a highly infected disease caused by a novel coronavirus or SARS-Cov-2. The virus was reported for the first time  December 2019 in, China's Wuhan province. Later the virus has broken down into the world and claimed millions of lives. In India, the disease was reported for the first time in Kerala on 30th January 2020. a cross-section one group pre-test & post-test research design was used among the 40 final year BSc nursing students, College of Nursing SGPGIMS, Lucknow India. Samples were selected based on purposive sampling technique and sample criteria. An instrument, the first tool included demographic characteristics Similarly, second instrument used for knowledge assessment. After pre-test assessment, a teaching session was held at the seminar room, college of nursing SGPGIMS Lucknow, India. Subsequently post assessment was held after intervention.  A total of 40 participants responded to the study. Demographic variables like 30(75%) participants had less than 22 years of age, 22(55%) were girls, 14(35%) families income found INR 10000-15000, and the majority of participants obtained COVID-19 related knowledge from news paper16(40%). A gender was found significant with pretest knowledge, and other variables weren't found significant (P=0.05). Knowledge mean & standard deviation in pre & post-intervention, 11.90±2.16 vs15.82±1.39. The mean difference was found in a pre-test & post-test-1 &post-test-2, 3.9, 5.02, & 1.1, respectively. The effectiveness of the training program was checked by paired t-test -10.20 & -13.93, P=0.00.  The study revealed that the teaching session was efficient in the COVID-19 program among BSc nursing students.

Newborn babies constitute the foundation of life. The birth of a baby is one of the most awe inspiring and emotional events that can occur in one’s life time. In India most the mothers are not aware of management regarding minor disorder of newborn (vomiting, diarrhea, physiological jaundice conjunctivitis, umbilical cord infection, skin rashes etc). Mother plays an important role in the identifying minor developmental deviation and early evidences of the disease process because she is constantly and closely watching her baby. Methodology: pre experimental (one group pretest and posttest) design was adopted for this study. The study was conducted at postnatal ward AIIMS Raipur with sample size of 30 primipara mothers. Non probability convenient sampling technique was adopted to select the sample. The data was collected by means of self-structured questionnaire to assess the knowledge among primipara mothers. Result: The mean score of pre-test was 15.36 and mean score of post-test was 22.4 and the mean improvement was 7.04, which is 45.83% of total primipara mothers. The paired ‘t’ value obtained for knowledge was 10.41 which was found significant at 0.05 level (p<0.05) which is 2.05. Which result shows that significantly an improvement in the knowledge of the primipara mothers after the structured teaching programme (STP) on selected minor ailments of newborn.

Aim: To evaluate the effectiveness of meditation lowers stress and supports forgiveness among nursing Students.Participants and setting: The study was conducted by adopting a Quasi-experimental, non-equivalent control group pre and post test design.50 nursing students who fulfilled the inclusion criteria were selected by using Non-probability purposive sampling technique. 50 women were assigned in experimental and control group. The study was conducted in Bhavana College of nursing, Nalgonda, Telugana, India.Intervention: A brief introduction about self and study was given to the nursing students and consent was obtained (both oral and written) and the confidentiality of the response was assured. Pre assessment was done in both experimental and control groups. In the experimental group meditation technique was practiced by the women and pre and post test level of stress was obtained using John D. Catherine & T. Mac Arthurs perceived stress scale. In the control group without any intervention, the pre and post test level of stress was obtained for both the groups and the level of stress was assessed.Measurement and findings: Analysis revealed that the women in the experimental group showed a highly significant decrease in the level of stress following meditation at P<0.001 level when compared with the control group.Conclusion: Evidence suggests that meditation-based stress-management practices reduce stress and enhance forgiveness among college undergraduates. Such programs merit further study as potential health-promotion tools for college populations.

A descriptive research design was conducted among b.sc nursing students of Mother Teresa College of nursing, Pudukkottai. It aims to assess the level of self-directed learning readiness among nursing students. 50 students were selected using simple random sampling technique. Level of self-directed learning readiness was assessed using Guglielmino’s self-directed learning readiness assessment scale. Data was used by using descriptive and inferential statistics. Chi square test which was found significant with the table value of 3.34 shows the effectiveness Self-directed learning readiness among first year BSc nursing students in mother Teresa College of nursing. The frequency and percentage distribution of the levels of self-directed learning readiness among first year BSc nursing students depicts that majority 34 (68%) of the students have above average levels of self-directed learning readiness, 13% (26%) have average level of self-directed learning and 3(6%) have below average level of self-directed learning readiness

Background: Breast engorgement is a major issue in the early postpartum period under the influence of hormonal shift and increase milk production. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the prevention, recognition and management of breast engorgement.Methods: Quasi Experimental, quantitative study conducted in AIMS, Kochi among sixty mothers by Convenience sampling technique. The design used was pre-test post-test control group design. A semi structured knowledge questionnaire, Bristol Breastfeeding Assessment Tool and an Observational checklist were used to collect the data. Prenatal teaching provided to the Experimental group.Results: The mean pre-test knowledge level of control group was 9.83 and the post-test knowledge was 10.03. In the Experimental group, the mean pre-test level was 10.20 and the post-test level is 20.76. The ‘t’ value of control group was 0.71 and that of Experimental group was 12.83 which was highly significant at 0.001 level. There was a significant increase in knowledge score in Experimental group. Comparing the breastfeeding practices regarding positioning and attachment in both groups, showed a significant difference at the level of 0.001 but other two aspects, sucking and swallowing were not significant. Comparing the incidence, 13.3% mothers reported in experimental group whereas 63.3% in the control group, which showed a remarkable decrease in the incidence of breast engorgement in the former group.Conclusions: The prenatal teaching was effective in improving the health of mothers as well as practices of breastfeeding and it helped in reduction of the incidence of breast engorgement.

Cell phone radiation causes many ill affect pregnant women's physical, mental, and emotional state. This paper aims to evaluate a structured informational module on facts about the impact of overuse of mobile phones during pregnancy this study was conducted in the SAIMS college of nursing, in this study 80 baccalaureate 3rd and 4th year student was selected by Non probability sampling technique Data was collected through a structured questionnaire. it was found the mean value of 11.88±4.00 in pre test and 23.71±2.70 was found in post test the mean difference of knowledge of impact of over usage of mobile phone in pregnancy 11.83 point the z statistic value is 35.80 was strongly significant and p value is p<0.001 The present study attempted to find out the effectiveness of structured informational module regarding over usage mobile during pregnancy among baccalaureate nursing student was strongly effective

Aim: to assess the effectiveness of a comprehensive educational package on knowledge regarding promotion of health and prevention of complications among hypertensive patients. Objectives: (i) To assess the pre and post test level of knowledge regarding promotion of health and prevention of complications among hypertensive patients. (ii) To evaluate the effectiveness of a comprehensive educational package on knowledge regarding promotion of health and prevention of complications among hypertensive patients. (iii) To find out the association between the post test level of knowledge on the promotion of health and prevention of complications with selected socio-demographic variables of patients with hypertension. Methodology: A Pre experimental research design was carried out in this study. 60 samples were selected by using non-probability purposive sampling technique. The pre and post test level of knowledge was assessed by using structured knowledge questionnaires. Results: The pre test mean was 11.5 with a standard deviation of 3.24 and the post test mean was 24.37 with a standard deviation of 2.98. The mean difference of pre and post test is 12.87; standard error is 0.29. The ‘T’ value is 44.37 is Highly Significant at p<0.05 it indicates that the knowledge level of hypertensive patients regarding promotion of health and prevention of complications was increased after the comprehensive educational package. Conclusion: The study concluded that the level of knowledge among hypertensive patients is increased after giving a comprehensive educational package and it proved that a comprehensive educational package increases the level of knowledge. Logoterapi merupakan terapi untuk menemukan makna positif dibalik sebuah kejadian yang tidak diharapkan. Logoterapi dilaksanakan secara individu maupun berkelompok dalam bentuk konseling dan berorientasi pada pencarian makna hidup individu. Tujuan logoterapi meningkatkan makna pengalaman hidup individu yang diarahkan kepada pengambilan keputusan yang bertanggung jawab. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan rancangan pre-experiment dengan metode pre and post test group, artinya pengumpulan data dilakukan terhadap responden untuk membandingkan kualitas hidup sebelum dan sesudah dilakukan intervensi. Teknik pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan metode total sampling yaitu pengambilan seluruh sampel dengan tetap memperhatikan kriteria yang telah ditetapkan. Jumlah pasien yang menjalani hemodialisis di RSUD Ungaran sebanyak 21 orang dan di RSUD Ambarawa sebanyak 25 pasien. Analisis data dilakukan dengan menggunakan uji t test dependent. Hasil penelitian didapatkan bahwa dari 46 responden didapatkan rata-rata skor kualitas hidup pasien yang mejalani hemodialisis sebesar 60.22 dengan skor terrendah 55 dan skor tertinggi 69. Bahwa dari 46 responden didapatkan rata-rata skor kualitas hidup pasien yang mejalani hemodialisis sebesar 88.72 dengan skor terrendah 79 dan skor tertinggi 103. Hasil uji statistik dengan uji t test dependent diketahui ada pengaruh logoterapi terhadap kemampuan memaknai hidup pada klien yang menjalani hemodialisis di RSUD Kabupaten Semarang (p value: 0,0001). Saran perlunya peningkatan kemampuan perawat dalam memberikan layanan kesehatan termasuk pemberian atau pemanduan penemuan makna hidup bagi pasien hemodialysis, agar selain dengan hemodialysis, ada faktor internal dari pasien yang dapat dijadikan sebagai motivasi untuk sembuh dari penyakit.   Kata Kunci: Logoterapi, kualitas hidup   IMPROVE THE QUALITY OF LIFE OF PATIENTS WITH RENAL FAILURE WHO UNDERWENT HEMODIALYSIS   ABSTRACT Logotherapy is a therapy to discover the positive meaning behind an unexpected event. Logotherapy is carried out individually or in groups in the form of counseling and oriented to the search for the meaning of individual life. This study aims to improve the quality of life of patients with renal failure who underwent hemodialysis. This research was conducted by using pre-experiment with pre-post test study. The sampling technique was done by the convenience sampling. The number of patients undergoing hemodialysis as many as 46 respondents. Data analysis was done by using test t test dependent. The result showed that from 46 respondents got the mean of quality of life of patients who had hemodialysis 60.22 with lowest score 55 and highest score 69. Whereas from 46 respondents got the mean score of life quality of patients who had hemodialysis 88.72 with score the lowest score 79 and the highest score 103. The result of statistical test with t test dependent is known there is influence of logoterapi to the ability of meaningful life on client who undergo hemodialysis at Semarang Regency hospitals (p value: 0.0001). Advice on the need to improve the nurse's ability to provide health services, including the provision or guidance of the discovery of the meaning of life for hemodialysis patients, in addition to hemodialysis, there are internal factors of the patient that can be used as a motivation to recover from illness.   Keywords: Logotherapy, quality of life, kidney failure.

Hepatitis has become a health problem in the world. The hepatitis virus infected many people. According to the teacher of MTsN 02 Bondowoso more than 20 students have hepatitis A viral infection. The purpose of this research was to know the differences of students' knowledge about hepatitis A before and after counseling in MTsN 02 Bondowoso 2015. This study used pre-experimental (pre-post test design). This study used stratified random sampling technique, 127 students from 270 sample involved this research,and 143 students was excluded. We used questionnaires to collect data. The results showed that the mean value of the students 'knowledge about hepatitis A before counseling in MTsN 02 Bondowoso 2015 was 83.96 with the lowest value of 37.5 and the highest value was 100. The mean value of the students' knowledge about hepatitis A after counseling in MTsN 02 Bondowoso 2015 was 93.21 with the lowest value waf 62.5 and the highest value was 100. Paired t test showed that t (-9.07) > t table (1.98), the null hypothesis (H0) was rejected. There was a difference between students' knowledge about hepatitis A before and after counseling in MTsN 02 Bondowoso 2015. This study showed that routine counseling by healthcare provider was important to prevent hepatitis A infection.; Keywords: counseling, knowledge of students, hepatitis

Background: The one virus stumbled the whole universe is the novel corona virus and impacted physical, emotional and social health status of almost every individual in the world irrespectively. Since the existence of Covid-19 till now it is been noticed that student nurses also affected by this fatal viral infection during their clinical practice. Objectives: The study focused on evaluating the effectiveness of webinar on knowledge regarding the strategies to prevent Covid -19 among student nurses of SIIHS, Honavar, Uttara Kannada. The study aimed at enhancing the knowledge level and influences others through effective health teaching at clinical areas and even in community settings. Methodology: An evaluative approach with pre- experimental, non-randomized, one group pre and post-test research design was adapted. The sample size was 294, purposive sampling technique was adapted. Data collected through testmoz web page and webinar was conducted by google meet app for one week. Data analysed by descriptive and statistical methods (chi-square and z-test) and interpreted by graphs. Results: The findings show that in pre-test 10(3.41%) had poor, 127(43.19%) had average, 157(53.40%) Good and 00% excellent knowledge level whereas in post-test 00% had Poor, 59(20.06%) Average, 176(59.86%) Good and 59 (20.06%) had excellent knowledge level. The pre-test mean score was 23.1 (46.2 %.) and of post-test was 35.6 (71.2%). The computed z’-test value showing significant difference in the pre (x?1=23.1) and post-test (x?2=35.6) knowledge score (p=1.18357, < z= -5.1679, critical z score=-1.6449 ? =0.05 level of significance). Hence the p value is greater than the z value (p(x?Z) = 1.18357e-7), it indicates the webinar was effective and the null hypothesis (H0) is rejected. Conclusion: The study was concluded as the webinar was highly effective and influenced the participant to gain sufficient information on prevention and the spread of Covid 19. Hopefully this enables them to apply
