This purpose of this study is to determine perception of students about implementation of 5E teaching model, one of the applications of constructivist approach in classroom environment, in vocational schools. For this purpose a 32-question survey was administered. 631 students were surveyed, including 227 male, 404 female studentsof 13 different programmes in Tunceli Vocational School of Tunceli University during the 2011-2012 academic year. Average, t-test, standard deviation, frequency and percentage distribution were used for the analysis of the research data. According to the results of the study, significant variations by gender were detected in 6 items, including “Supporting learning by revealing pre-knowledge”, “Defining the wrong points in the developed hypotheses ”, “Considering as unnecessary the instructor’s encouragement tolearn”, “Listening to the explanations of my friends”, “Giving opportunity for peer-review among students” and “Giving answers to questions with admissible evidences”. Affirming with their replies, the students revealed the applicability of the model. However further studies are necessary to see the implementation of the phases of the 5E model respectively, and it is considered that different researches should be performed with the purpose ofobserving that necessarypre-learning for each phase has been carried out.

Abstract The aim of this study was to determine sustainable learning levels of students. The study also attempted to determine sustainable learning levels of students based on gender and grade. The participants of the study consisted of 742 high school students (354 females and 388 males) in various high schools in Babaeski district of Kırklareli, Turkey during the 2017–2018 academic year. In order to collect data, a scale with two subscales – behavioural and cognitive – was developed. The data were analysed through SPSS 17, and arithmetic mean, standard deviation, t-test and one-way analysis of variance (One Way Anova) were used. According to the results of the study, it is concluded that sustainable learning level of the high school students is moderate. The study also found a significant variation in favour of the female students in “learning for development” subdimension on the cognitive subscale of the scale.

This research aimed to reveal the views of secondary school students on ideal teacher qualifications. For this purpose, research was carried out in a phenomenological pattern, which is one of the qualitative research methods. The study was carried out with 76 students who were studying in a secondary school in the 2017-2018 academic year. The data were obtained with the repertory grid technique and interview technique. As a result of the analysis of the data, it was seen that the qualifications of the teachers considered ideal by the participants were among the general competencies of the teaching profession. According to the results of this research, ideally, teachers are expected to provide good and fun lessons, not discriminate among students, be friendly and calm in communications with students, and ensure discipline and democracy in the classroom environment.

This study aims to determine how much the level of employability skills of students of State Vocational Schools in Palu City. This type of research is a type of survey that is to describe the attitudes, behaviors, and opinions of students' research employability skills using a quantitative deskriptive approach, then the results of data analysis are described qualitatively, then presented in graphs, diagrams, tables, mean, modes, medians, standard deviation and variant. The population in this study was 1,275 students with a study sample of 295 students. The data collection technique used is using a questionnaire. The results of the study indicate that the level of employability skills of vocational students in Palu is generally categorized as very high. The high level of employability skills of students in the State Vocational School in Palu should be a supporting factor for students to get decent work and in accordance with their competency skills so that stakeholders, especially the school must really use it well.

<p>Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar IPA siswa kelas V SD Negeri Wero pada mata pelajaran IPA tentang kekuatan. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK) yang dilakukan dalam tiga siklus dengan lima pertemuan. Sumber data yang digunakan adalah siswa dan guru. Data yang digunakan adalah dalam bentuk data kualitatif, yaitu penerapan model pembelajaran inkuiri terbimbing dan data kuantitatif, yaitu hasil tes pembelajaran subjek sains tentang kekuatan. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini meliputi teknik tes dan non-tes. Validitas data yang digunakan adalah teknik triangulasi dan sumber data. Analisis data dilakukan melalui reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa penerapan model pembelajaran inkuiri terbimbing dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar sains tentang kekuatan di kelas lima SD Negeri Wero. Implikasi dari penelitian ini adalah bahwa siswa terlibat langsung dalam kegiatan penyelidikan selama pembelajaran sehingga siswa mendapatkan pengalaman belajar yang bermakna dan siswa menjadi lebih mudah mengingat materi yang telah dipelajari, melalui proses perumusan masalah, secara aktif, dan inisiatif untuk menemukan konsep melalui inkuiri dengan model pembelajaran inkuiri terbimbing sehingga siswa menjadi terbiasa belajar secara kritis tentang fenomena di sekitarnya, dalam pembelajaran dengan menerapkan model pembelajaran inkuiri terbimbing siswa terlibat langsung dalam proses pembelajaran sehingga mereka dapat melatih siswa untuk terampil dalam mendapatkan dan menganalisis informasi dari berbagai sumber belajar, meningkatkan antusiasme siswa selama pembelajaran melalui kegiatan investigasi, meningkatkan sikap kerjasama melalui proses diskusi kelompok, dan melatih kepercayaan diri siswa melalui presentasi.</p><p> </p>

The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of thematic learning by applying an environmental approach to the knowledge of Seluma Primary-School students about the Our Friends Environment. The research used is the only matching pretest-posttest control group design. The populations are all grade V students of SDN Seluma in the academic year 2017/2018. The research samples are grade V students of SDN 01 and SDN 13 Seluma. The instrument used is a test sheet to measure students' knowledge about the environment of our friends. The results of the research data are analyzed inferentially by independent sample t-test. The results of the study obtained a significance value (2- tailed) is lower than 0.025. The conclusion of this study is that there is a significant influence of thematic learning by applying an environmental approach to the knowledge of SDN Seluma students about the environment of our friends.

The aim of this research is to evaluate students' perceptions about dangerous substances and precautions. The factors affecting chemistry students' perceptions about dangerous substances and taking precautions were examined. In the study; a literature review was conducted and the dangerous substance and precaution perception scale developed by the researcher was used in line with the expert opinions. The research was carried out in the academic year 2018-2019. 190 students participated in the research applied on Kocaeli Vocational School Chemistry Technology students. Data of 188 students were used in the analysis. 26.60% of the students participating in the research are male and 73.40% are female. A questionnaire was used to collect the research data. The questionnaire consists of two parts. The first part consists of ten questions regarding the dangerous substance and the precautions to be taken. Reliability of dangerous substance perception dimension .98; The reliability of the dangerous substance perception dimension was calculated as .87. The total reliability of the scale was determined as 0.98. The second part consists of four questions regarding students' gender, class, mother and father education levels. On the perception of dangerous substances in the class in which education is given; gender has been observed to make a difference in perception of dangerous substance. An ineffective teaching strategy might have some drawbacks such as students’ passiveness and  lack of opportunities to exercise that cause the students difficult to comprehend rythmic gymnastic movement in Sport class. To improve the condition, the researcher conducts a Classroom Action Research (CAR) consisting of four stages; planning, acting, observing, and reflecting, by  implementing a Student Facilitator and Explaining (SFE) teaching model which facilitates the students more chance to learn with peers. The subject of the research was the fourth grade of elementary school students of SDN 23 Koto Gadang Hilir Kecamatan Padang Ganting, Tanah Datar regency, academic year 2016/2017. The instruments of the research were both observation sheet and test. Cycle 1 result shows both the test result: 67% of psycomotoric and 71% cognitive aspects were successfully achieved, and  the observasion result showing 83% of the teacher SFE activities  and 77% students were active. Meanwhile, in Cycle 2, it is found that the students’ psycomotor was increased to 88% and their cognition 93%. The teacher’s SFE activities were improved to 94% and 95% of the students were active. The results indicate that SFE teaching model could enhance the students’ learning outcome in Sport class particularly on senam irama subject taught at the fourth grade of SDN 23 Koto Gadang Hilir Kecamatan Padang Ganting Tanah Datar regency.

This study aims to describe the increase in students' mastery of concepts and KPS as well as the implementation of teacher learning in science learning class VIIID SMP Kartika XX-6 Kendari using the discovery model. This type of research is the PTK. The subjects in this study were all 26 students of the 2018/2019 academic year. The research data is concept mastery data obtained from tests and KPS obtained from observation sheets. The data were analyzed by using descriptive statistics. The results of data analysis showed that: 1) the mean value of concept mastery in the first cycle was 70.07 with a standard deviation of 9.34, while in the second cycle the mean value of concept mastery was 77.50 with a standard deviation of 5.55; 2) the percentage of aspects of science process skills in the first cycle was 50.55% in the sufficient category, while in the second cycle, 73.41% was in the good category; and 2) the mean value of the implementation of teacher learning in the first cycle was 2.8 and the second cycle was 3.57.

<p>Writing ability is a skill that must be mastered by students. One of the media can be applied in teaching writing is TV Newscast. The objective of this research is to find out whether the writing ability of the eleventh-grade students of SMKN 1 Kudus in 2016/2017 academic year after being taught by using TV newscast is better than before. This study is experimental research; in this research, the writer used one group pre-test post-test design. There are two variables; they are TV newscast (independent variable) and the students' writing ability (dependent variable). The population of the research is the eleventh-grade students of SMKN 1 Kudus in 2016/2017 academic year. The writer used random cluster sampling as the technique to take the sample. Then XI AK 1 (accountancy class) consists of 38 students was taken. The research used achievement test as instrument for measuring the students' writing ability before and after being taught by using TV newscast and then the data were analyzed using the statistical formula. Based on the result of this research, the t<sub>0 </sub>(obtained) was higher than t-critical (20.09&gt;1.56). It showed that t<sub>0 </sub>(obtained) on the critical area and the null hypothesis (H<sub>0</sub>) is rejected. Then the conclusion is that the writing ability of the eleventh-grade students of State Vocational School 1 Kudus in 2016/2017 academic year after being taught by using TV newscast is significant.</p>

The Academic Year 2016/2017 was the first year of fiscal reconciliation and filling an Annual Tax Returns as the material of Competency and Skills Exam of Vocational School students. Students are required to understand and can calculate the amount of tax payable and filling in annual tax returns, then they can work on the questions properly and correctly. This student's ability is inseparable from the teacher's ability to understand the material. Therefore, the teachers is required to have deep knowledge and understanding about the material. The purpose of this activity is to conduct training to improve the understanding and knowledge of the Vocational School Teachers of Accounting Departments on Fiscal Reconciliation Materials and the Filling of Annual E-Tax Return in accordance with Competency and Skills Exam Materials in Agam District and Bukittinggi City, West Sumatra. The training was carried out for 4 days in 2 weeks. Based on the results of the assessment from the pretest and posttest was conducted to the participants, shows that there was an increase in the understanding of vocational school teachers in the accounting department for annual fiscal reconciliation and E-Tax Return materials for individual taxpayers and corporate taxpayers. The results of the survey conducted with a questionnaire to find out the perceptions of participants regarding the usefulness of the community service activities, it shows that the training participants were very enthusiastic and get benefit from this activity.Keywords: teachers, SMK, understanding, fiscal reconciliation
