Technologies, as an aid to social activities, have had an impact on how we conduct ourselves. The latest generation of technological advances determined from the sizable developments in the field of telecommunications, as well as the general access most people have to them, have resulted in an accelerated technological revolution. Over the last two decades, public security in Mexico has seen important changes, starting in the legislation around it, and therefore, changing the offices that depend on it, and reaching the activities performed by those who operate the system, mainly the the policemen leading the line from the front. In this situation, a novelty to be found in those reforms made to the penal system is a digital tool known as first respondent protocol, which assigns responsibilities and marks the guidelines of how to act or intervene in the event of the so-called criminal notice, which goes the same way for crime incidence. The usage of technological tools available today led to the creation of the First Respondent app, designed and developed by a police officer, which provides benefits to users and potential stakeholders, and since it is free, one can predict it to be successful.

Currently, the creation of safe conditions for the execution and serving of criminal sentences in the form of deprivation of liberty, strengthening the protection of prison staff from possible threats and dangerous attacks is one of the urgent tasks facing the penal system. This situation has developed as a result of modern state policy in the field of combating crime, namely, the humanization of punishment, which has led to a change in the quantitative and qualitative composition of convicts serving sentences in places of deprivation of liberty, and has complicated the operational situation. The article notes that despite the small number of actions that disorganize the work of a correctional institution, in the structure of penitentiary crime, these torts have an increased public danger, since they are committed during the period of serving a sentence, and high latency due to both the object (both the main and optional) and the method of encroachment. Recognizing criminological data as the basis for developing measures to counteract crime, including penitentiary, the authors study indicators of one of the types of crimes committed in correctional colonies - disorganization of institutions that provide isolation from society, as well as the identity of the criminal. The research made it possible to give criminological characteristics of crimes aimed at disorganizing the activities of institutions that provide isolation from society, in particular correctional institutions, as well as to determine the personality of the convicted person who commits them. The results of the study can be used in the development of a General theory of criminal behavior and the personality of the criminal, and the penitentiary in particular.

Questioning the interest that governs the (in) effectiveness of the prison system and how it legitimizes itself socially through a political discourse of public security supported by the panic propagated by the mass media, it is intended to expose the selectivity of both the normal criminal and the criminal system, which, together, result in the construction of the delinquent profile and the mass incarceration of the poor. From a critical exposition, it is hoped to foment the debate of the role of the criminalization of poverty in the management of illegalities by those interested in the products of prisonKEYWORDSCriminal law. This chapter examines the use of cohort programming within the Career Technical Education field. Cohorts are ideal formats for CTE curricula since students participate in the majority of coursework together. They provide mutual academic and intellectual encouragement and reinforce the transfer of skills to the workplace. Developing cohorts within an online electronic teaching and learning environment is addressed at formal and informal levels. Instructing and facilitating in an e-learning environment requires the effective use of technological tools, which are overviewed in this chapter. Also addressed are instructor challenges and methods that will continually evolve as technological advances occur. Cohort programming is an innovative and practical way of enhancing student economic opportunities and creating lifelong learners.

People’s aesthetic appreciation for any art is bound to the craft of its artists, and that craft is deeply affected by the technology available. Movies have evolved through a long series of venues and technological advances—theaters to shrinking personal devices; roll film with sprockets added; increased frame rates; the standardizations with added sound; experiments with color, aspect ratios, and contrast; and the move to a digital format. This chapter traces these and the consequent psychological improvements in viewer engagement that they fostered—for example, the creation of motion also created aversive flicker, but flicker was then diminished by increasing frame rates and was eliminated by digital delivery. Sound had profound effects, among other things creating a temporary deglobalization of cinema. Color increased discriminability and punctuated the change of scenes. And increased aspect ratios more firmly stimulated people’s systems of balance and the feeling of presence.

ABSTRACT

Selimiye Square, placed in the historical Selimiye neighborhood within the walled city of Nicosia, has become an important center, shaped with the architectural heritage of different cultures throughout the history of Cyprus. The creation of the square began with the building of the St. Sophia Cathedral of the Lusignan Period, at the beginning of the 1200s, and it developed as a religious center with the addition of St. Nicholas Church and the Archbishopric right after. Although not much development in the texture, a guest house built for travelers and pilgrims (The Venetian House) and the meeting place built for the priests of the cathedral (Chapter House), continued the process of creation of the square and the religious quality of the texture. During the Ottoman Period, which was an important era for the historical urban texture of Nicosia, Turkish Architecture, a new architectural style, was added to the surroundings of Selimiye Square. St. Sophia Cathedral was turned into a mosque with the addition of minarets, the Archbishopric and the building next to it were turned into Traditional Turkish Houses with alterations and additions, and St. Nicholas Church was turned into Bedesten (covered bazaar). With the addition of Sultan Mahmut Library and the Big and Small Medrese (madrasah), educational and business functions were added to the religious center; thus the creation of a historical environment and the boundaries of the square became clarified. The boundaries of the square were completed during the British Period with the construction of houses towards the west of the square and it gained the identity of a meeting place for the social activities of the city. During this period, the square was opened for vehicle traffic, and its texture, its religious and business center character were preserved. The periods of the Republic of Cyprus and the following Cyprus Turkish Administration years were a stagnant period for the creation and development of the square. During this period, the square was used as a place of ceremonies with the erection of the Fighters Monument in the east of the library. The buildings around the square underwent functional changes during the TRNC period, from 1983 to today, but the texture preserved its importance with its religious, educational, and business activities. With the new arrangements in 2001 within the scope of the pedestrianization project, an important meeting place was created for the social activities of the city. Thus, becoming an important center for the tourism and social life of the city with the mosque, cultural center, museum, folk arts atelier, restaurants, and bars, which all exist within this historical texture.

Virtual Reality (VR) art can be traced back to the 1990s, whenthe first VR systems were commercialized. However, the art exploration of this technology was limited due to the high costs and technical difficulties to create and exhibit VR artworks. In the second decade of the 21st century, VR has experienced a renaissance partly because of the technological advances in computer graphics and physical interfaces and the reduction of their cost. All these factors have revitalized the use of VR in the arts by facilitating the creation and exhibition of artworks.

Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning are a result not only of technological advances but also of the exploitation of information or data, which has led to its expansion into almost all aspects of modern life, including law and its practice. Due to the benefits of these technologies, such as efficiency, objectivity, and transparency, the trend is towards the integration of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning in the judicial system. Integration that is advocated at all levels and, today, has been achieved mostly under the implementation of tools to assist the exercise of the judiciary. The "success" of this integration has led to the creation of an automated court or an artificially intelligent judge as a futuristic proposal.

As technology evolves and spheres of information dissemination begin to converge, now is a crucial point to become critical with how these factors are beginning to influence architecture. It is important to understand the ways in which we consume architecture is affecting the architecture we produce. Is architecture a handful of money-shot renderings creating idealised moments captioned with generic copy and paste, or buried in books on shelves? Or have we as architects decided that mechanical reproduction is unable to capture the essence of architecture and that it can only be experienced? The succession of the image is the challenging of conventional methods of communication utilized by the architectural artifact. In focusing on the possibilities afforded via technological advances emerges a variety of mediums for the creation of spatial narratives. The image has progressed and disseminated architecture to this point and it is important to continuously ask what is next.

Communication is very important in human life. Every time people communicate, with anyone, anywhere and anytime. In communicating, humans cannot be separated from verbal and nonverbal behavior. In the digital era like now, communication is becoming increasingly sophisticated with the creation of "contemporary" technology known as Information and Communication Technology (ICT). Technological advances have had a huge influence on human life, especially tenagers active gadget users. In the hands of teenagers, gadgets that basically have a function as a tool that can facilitate people in communicating can actually be the cause of the emergence of things that are not good.
