Balut bidai training aims to minimize the impact that can occur so that every lay person can help if they find victims who have an accident.The research aimed to analyze to what extent the effect of the splint wrap training using the watching video method on the fracture management knowledge of the Youth Red Cross members. This was the qualitative research with the one group pretest posttest design method with the samples of 70 students of YRC members. The samples were selected using the non-probability sampling technique with the purposive sampling approach. The date were analyzed using T-Test. The research result indicates that there is no significant difference concerning the knowledge level between the simulation group and video group (? = 0.063), whereas on the skill level, there is the significant difference between the simulation group and video group (? = 0.000). Thus, it can be concluded that the training using the video method can improve the fracture management knowledge fester than the training using the simulation method, so that it is expected that the training using the video method can be utilized for almost all topics, and every cognitive, affective, psychomotoric and interpersonal domain.

Out-of-Hospital Cardiac Arrest (OHCA) is the focus of global health problems with high mortality rate. The delay of reporting and giving a quick CPR are the common causes of the problem. The solution that can be done is to provide CPR training in the community to form a CPR bystander who can provide CPR to the victim. This study aimed to analyze the comparison of CPR training based on mobile application and simulation to the knowledge and skill of CPR. This research was quasi experimental with pretest-posttest design. Fifty respondents were divided into two groups: mobile application and simulation. Respondents were determined by purposive sampling technique. Data were collected using questionnaires and observation sheets. Data were analyzed using dependent t test and independent t test. The result of dependent t test showed that mobile application group had a significant influence on increasing the knowledge (p = 0.000) and the skill (p = 0.000) of CPR. The simulation group also showed the same result. Independent t test showed that there was a significant difference of knowledge between mobile application and simulation. Mobile application had greater score than simulation group (p=0.021). There were also significant differences between mobile application group and simulation group in skill of CPR. The simulation group had greater score of CPR’s skill than mobile application group (p=0.044). The result shows that CPR training using mobile application can give bigger influence on increasing the knowledge, while simulation method can give bigger influence on increasing the skill in doing CPR.

The Loess Hilly–Gully region (LHGR) is the most serious soil erosion area in the world. For the small watershed with high management in this area, the scientific problem that has been paid attention to in recent years is the impact of the land consolidation project on the erosion environment in the gully region. In this study, the 3D simulation method of vegetation, eroded sediment and pollutant transport was innovated based on the principles of erosion sediment dynamics and similarity theory, and the impacts of GLCP were analyzed on the erosion environment at different scales. The verification results show that the design method and the scale conversion relationship (geometric scale: λl = 100) were reasonable and could simulate the transport process on the complex underlying surface of a small watershed. Compared with untreated watersheds, a significant change was the current flood peak lagging behind the sediment peak. There were two important critical values of GLCP impact on the erosion environment. The erosion transport in HMSW had no change when the proportion was less than 0.85%, and increased obviously when it was greater than 3.3%. The above results have important theoretical and practical significance for watershed simulation and land-use management in HMSW.

Background: Midwifery is the backbone of women and child healthcare. The shortage of staff in maternity units is a crisis faced by many countries worldwide, including South Africa.Objectives: This study aims to explore the perceptions of midwives on the shortage and retention of staff at a public institution.Method: The study was conducted at one of the tertiary hospitals in Tshwane District, Gauteng Province. A total of 11 midwives were interviewed through face-to-face and focus group interviews. An explorative, descriptive generic qualitative design method was followed, and a non-probability, purposive sampling technique was used. Thematic coding analysis was followed for analysing data.Results: The impact of shortage of midwives was reported to be directly related to poor provision of quality care as a result of increased workload, leading to low morale and burnout. The compromised autonomy of midwives in the high obstetrics dependency units devalues the status of midwives.Conclusion: Midwives are passionate about their job, despite the hurdles related to their day-to-day work environment. They are demoralised by chronic shortage of staff and feel overworked. Staff involvement in decision-making processes is a motivational factor for midwives to stay in the profession. The midwives need to be in the centre of the decision-making processes related to their profession. The revision of the scope of practice and classification of midwifery profession away from general nursing complex by the South African Nursing Council (SANC) could place midwifery in its rightful status.

Abstract The balance of body is one of the main factor in doing fungsional activity. In every activity, the body always need control of the body balance, because basically every phisic activity right static or dinamic will take someone on unstable position with big risk to having fell. Swiss Ball exercise as support is believed on labile surface will make spine have big chance to stabling the muscle between vebra and increase the dinamic balance to restrain the repeats stability. The research object to know The Effect of Swiss Ball Exercise toward The Body Balance to Less The Risk Fall of Older at UPT Social Service of Older and Children Under Five district Binjai and Medan in Year 2016. The research type is Quasi Experiment with pre test-post test one group only design method. Population in this research all of older at UPT Social Service district Binjai as much as 172 older with number of man is 81 and woman is 91, with Purposive sampling Technique that is 15 respondences. Data collecting using observation sheet with analysis that used is univariat: respondence characteristics, the body balance of older before and after doing Swiss Ball practice, and bivariat with Paired t-Test. The research result showing the average of body balance before doing Swiss Ball as much (Mean 38,07) and after (Mean 46,33). Conclusion: there is the effect of Swiss Ball toward body balance to less the risk fall of older (p=0,000 ; p=< 0,05). Sugessted for older to practice the balance himself more steady so that not easy to have risk fall further. Influenced, and for the next researcher can research about another factor that foregrounded the risk fall of older.Keywords    : Swiss Ball, Balance Exercise, Risk Fall

This study aims at finding out whether Visual Auditory Kinesthetic (VAK) learning styles improve the It presents pre experimental design  to see the impact of  VAK learning style with one group pre-tested and post-tested, employing oral testing. The target group of this study was teenager level language learners at a school in Makassar Indonesia in the 2015/2016 academic year. Twenty nine students with average speaking ability participated in this study. A purposive sampling technique was used to recruit participants.  The data was collected through an oral proficiency. The results of the data analysis indicated that there was a significant difference in the students’ English speaking skills before and after being trained using the VAK learning style. Results indicated that post-test was greater than pre-test in accuracy, fluency, comprehensibility. Based on the result of analysis can be concluded that the adoption of the VAK learning style can improve the English speaking skills and the methodology can be used as a preliminary strategy to assess students’ learning capability.

Abstract. In order to design future large wind turbines, knowledge is needed about the impact of aero-elasticity on the rotor loads and performance, and about the physics of the atmospheric flow surrounding the turbines. The objective of the present work is to study both effects by means of high fidelity rotor-resolved numerical simulations. In particular, unsteady computational fluid dynamics (CFD) simulations of a 2.3 MW wind turbine rotor are conducted, this rotor being the largest design with relevant experimental data available to the authors. Turbulence is modeled with two different approaches. On one hand, the well established improved delayed detached eddy simulation (IDDES) model is employed. An additional set of simulations relies on a novel hybrid turbulence model, developed within the framework of the present work. It consists on the blending of a large eddy simulation (LES) model for atmospheric flow by Deardorff with an IDDES model for the separated flow near the rotor geometry. In the same way, the assessment of the influence of the blade flexibility is performed by comparing two different sets of computations. A first group accounts for a structural multi body dynamic (MBD) model of the blades. The MBD solver was coupled to the CFD solver during run time with a staggered fluid structure interaction (FSI) scheme. The second set of simulations uses the original rotor geometry, without accounting for any structural deflection. The results of the present work show no significant difference between the IDDES and the hybrid turbulence model. However, it is expected that future simulations of more complex stratification and longer domains will benefit from the developed hybrid model. In a similar manner, and due to the fact that the considered rotor was relatively stiff, the loading variation introduced by the blade flexibility was found to be negligible when compared to the influence of inflow turbulence. The simulation method validated here is considered highly relevant for future turbine designs, where the impact of blade elasticity will be significant and the detailed structure of the atmospheric inflow will be important.

<p align="center"><strong>ABSTRAK</strong></p><p><strong>Background:</strong> One of nutritious problems susceptibly encountred in the world nowadays is kid’s stunting. Stunting is a failure of growth condition and cronical nutritious problems caused by poor nutritious supply because of improper meal provisions in long term growth consumptions. Stunting could be primarily prevented by increasing knowledge about stunting prevention through consuming moringa oleifera regularly. <strong>The aim:</strong> This study is intended to know the impact of education on mother’s knowledge for stunting prevention through regular moringa oleifera consumption. <strong>Research Method: </strong>This research applied a quasi experimental design by generating non equivalent control group which complied two groups; 30 subjects (mothers) were considered as treatment group; whereas, other 30 subjects (mothers) were taken as control group. Thus sampling technique applied was consecutive sampling. <strong>Results:</strong> The study showed that there was a significant impact on education score before and after intervention effects towards the treatment group (p=0,000); whereas there was no significant difference on the control group (p=0,184). The statistical analysis applied independent sample t-test which showed if educational aspect significantly impacted on the increase of mother’s knowledge (p=0,000). <strong>Conclusion:</strong> Educational aspect impacted on mother’s knowledge for stunting prevention through moringa oleifera.</p>

Efforts to improve caregiver’s knowledge on hallucination is by providing an education the caregivers. Enhancing such knowledge can be carried out by different methods, include lecture and watching video methods. The purpose of the present research was to compare the effectiveness of lecture  and watching video method in enhancing caregiver’s knowledge on hallucination.          The research used a quasi-experiment method with a pretest and posttest group design, with the research sample was 60. The sampling technique used was a total sampling. The scores of caregiver’s knowledge were determined by a questionnaire of knowledge on hallucination that was self-developed by validity test (0.707) and reliability test (0.968). The data obtained was then tested by using Independent Sample T-test, Mann-Whitney test, and Wilcoxon test.          The result of pretest of caregiver’s knowledge before the intervention showed that there was no difference between intervention and control group (p-value=0.624), while result of posttest of caregiver’s knowledge after the intervention showed that there was a significant difference between lecture group and video group (p-value=0.000). The research findings revealed that there was a significant increase in the scores of knowledge for both methods (p-value=0.000), but the increase of video group’s knowledge score was higher (4.23) than that of lecture group (2.57).          The conclusion of the research was that wathing video method was more effective than lecture method in enhancing caregiver’s knowledge so that video can be used as an alternative method for mental health education.

Indonesian students' creative thinking skill is still at a low level. This study aimed to examine the effectiveness of project collaborative model assisted by Google Classroom (PjCM-GC) in improving students' creative thinking skills. This research explored the differences between students who learned through the demonstration model (DM), project collaborative model (PjCM), and project collaborative model assisted by Google Classroom (PjCM-GC). It was a quasi-experimental with pre and post-test design. The population of this research was students at Senior High School, Lombok Timur-Indonesia. Random sampling technique was employed in this study. The sample was 86 science students grade XI (15-16 ages) who studied in SMAN 1 Aikmel. The data analyzed by paired-sample t-test, comparative-descriptive analysis, and ANOVA mixed design using SPSS 24. The study showed that The PjCM-GC group had a significant difference in the level of creative thinking skills (sig .0000). The PjCM-GC was the most effective model to improve the skills with a gain score of .47 (medium). Learning with the PjCM-GC model can be an alternative for policymakers and teachers to solve the problems of creative thinking.

Continuous degradation of biophysical factors and over utilisation of available water through unsustainable consumptive means, tend to threaten the existence of groundwater supply. The aim of this study was to examine the influence of human activities and biophysical factors on groundwater retention in wells in Keiyo North District, Elgeyo Marakwet County, Kenya. Structured questionnaires were used to obtain primary data. Systematic simple random sampling technique was applied in the study. Excel and Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS) were used for data analysis. The results of the study showed that biophysical factors had significant influence on groundwater level and/or retention capacity during dry season and no association during rainy season. Altitude and land use were insignificant in influencing groundwater retention during both dry and wet seasons. The logit model showed that nearness to the forest, swamp, river had high probability to influence groundwater retention in the wells. However, the random factor in the regression model showed significant difference in influencing groundwater retention, which explains more on the impact of other parameters that were beyond the scope of this study such as soil characteristics and climate on water retention capability. The findings of this study will inform policy and decision makers as they develop sustainable conservation strategies that will ensure continuous groundwater supply.
