The millennial generation is the continuation of the relay of national and state life. Welcoming Indonesia's golden 1st century of independence in 2045, the Indonesian nation needs a generation that is intellectually intelligent, skilled and has character. This paper aims to analyze the integration of character education through Islamic religious education at SMA Asy-Syafiiyah Medan. The background of this research shows that the age of the students studied is the millennial generation category. This study used a descriptive qualitative approach with a research background in SMA Asy-Syafiiyah Medan. Data were collected by means of observation, interview and documentation study techniques. The results of this study are the integration of character education through learning Islamic Religious Education effectively given to the millennial generation at SMA Asy-Syafiiah Medan, this is marked by 3 integral stages, namely (1) the planning stages, including the presentation of the integration of character education in the syllabus and learning curriculum. ; (2) the stages of implementation, including learning and school culture (climate); and (3) the third stage, namely evaluation. The evaluation in two steps, namely the evaluation of the process and results. Process evaluation is carried out in the learning process, while result evaluation is carried out at the end of the semester.

Giving stimulus from educators in the form of giving appreciation and punishment will greatly affect the way of thinking and behavior of students in achieving the goals of character education that have been set. This study aims to describe the implementation of reward and punishment in shaping the character of students' discipline. This research uses a qualitative approach with the type of case study. Methods of data collection using interviews, observation and documentation. The validity of the data used source triangulation and technical triangulation. The results of this study indicate: (1) The implementation of rewards in shaping the discipline character of students is done by giving rewards in the form of praise and giving appreciation in the form of gifts. (2) The implementation of punishment in shaping the disciplinary character of students is carried out by giving gradual warnings, giving spontaneous warnings and written warning letters. (3) Evaluation of the implementation of rewards and punishments in shaping the character of students' discipline is using process evaluation, which is an assessment carried out during the learning process by observing the attitudes of students everyday when they are in the madrasa environment.. Keywords: Reward; Punishment; Discipline; Learners Pemberian stimulus dari pendidik berupa pemberian apresiasi dan hukuman akan sangat mempengaruhi cara berpikir dan tingkah laku peserta didik dalam mencapai tujuan pendidikan karakter yang sudah ditetapkan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan implementasi reward dan punishment dalam membentuk karakter disiplin peserta didik. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan jenis studi kasus. Metode pengumpulan data menggunakan wawancara, observasi dan dokumentasi. Keabsahan data menggunakan triangulasi sumber dan triangulasi tehnik. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan: (1) Implementasi reward dalam membentuk karakter kedisiplinan peserta didik dilakukan dengan memberikan reward dalam bentuk pujian serta memberikan apresiasi dalam bentuk hadiah. (2) Implementasi punishment dalam membentuk karakter kedisiplinan peserta didik dilakukan dengan cara memberi peringatan secara bertahap, memberi teguran spontan dan surat peringatan tertulis. (3) Evaluasi implementasi reward dan punishment dalam membentuk karakter kedisiplinan peserta didik adalah menggunakan evaluasi proses, yaitu penilaian yang dilakukan di saat proses pembelajaran berlangsung dengan mengamati dari sikap peserta didik sehari-hari ketika berada di lingkungan madrasah. This study focuses on two discussions. First, to describe the application of character education at SMA Negeri 2 Lhokseumawe. Second, to describe the obstacles in the application of character education so that it is not effective in overcoming student deviant behavior. By using a qualitative approach, this study comes to an understanding that the implementation of character education in SMA Negeri 2 Lhokseumawe is carried out through several strategies, including: a). providing outreach to teachers; b). preparation of syllabus and lesson plans based on character education; c). integrating and applying values in the teaching and learning process in the classroom; d) creating a school culture; e) habituation; and f) teacher exemplary. The implementation of character education in order to reduce students' deviant behavior has not been optimal because it faces a number of obstacles, such as a) minimal family contribution; b) inconsistency of values and norms at school and outside school; and c) teachers' difficulties in adapting to curriculum changes. In addition, the definition of deviant behavior and social dysfunction has so far only relied on "blaming deviant individual behavior", but ignores problems at the school structure level that can lead students to deviant behavior and anomie states. ABSTRAKStudi ini berfokus pada dua hal. Pertama melihat penerapan pendidikan karakter di SMA Negeri 2 Lhokseumawe. Kedua, menggambarkan hambatan dalam penerapan pendidikan karakter sehingga tidak efektif dalam mengatasi perilaku menyimpang siswa. Dengan menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif, studi ini sampai pada pemahaman bahwa penerapan pendidikan karakter di SMA Negeri 2 Lhokseumawe dilakukan melalui beberapa strategi, diantaranya: a). pemberian sosialisasi kepada guru; b). penyusunan Silabus dan RPP yang berbasis pendidikan karakter; c). pengintegrasian dan penerapan nilai-nilai dalam proses belajar mengajar di kelas; d) penciptaan budaya sekolah; e) pembiasaan; dan f) keteladanan guru. Penerapan pendidikan karakter dalam rangka mengurangi perilaku menyimpang siswa belum berjalan optimal karena menghadapi sejumlah kendala, seperti a) minimnya kontribusi keluarga; b) inkonsistensi nilai dan norma di sekolah dan di luar sekolah; dan c) kesulitan guru beradaptasi dengan perubahan kurikulum. Selain itu, pendefinisian perilaku menyimpang dan disfungsi sosial selama ini hanya bertumpu pada “menyalahkan perilaku individu yang menyimpang”, tetapi mengabaikan masalah pada level struktur sekolah yang dapat mendorong siswa ke arah perilaku menyimpang dan keadaan anomie.

The purpose of this research was to describe and analyze the planning, implementation, and evaluation of responsible character education based on school culture. A qualitative approach is taken in this investigation. An SMP Muhammadiyah Plus Salatiga sample was used in the analysis. In order to gather accurate information about the subject matter, the authors employ qualitative research methods, such as interviews and documentation. There are two ways to implement educational character education in the classroom: first, incorporate it into the school's curricula and rules, then spread the word to the students and staff. Character education for responsibility is carried out by incorporating the character of responsibility into self-development programs, subjects, and school culture. 2. This includes classroom and school-wide activities in which character values are taught and practiced. Students' attitudes are assessed as a means of evaluating responsibility character education.

<em>This paper aims to present the idea of the relevance of Hindu’s literature with character education which is currently being encouraged to raised up back in the learning process. Education in general and religious education is basically aimed at forming good character. But today there’s a phenomenon of moral degradation among teenagers, although there’s also the others which has a good moral and character. One of the effort that can be choose to support character education is by reviving religious literature. Literature in Indonesia has existed since the entry of Hindu’s influence to the archipelago. Even in the range of X century, King Dharmawangsa Teguh initiated a project known as “mangjawaken byasamata” or to translating to the Java language the teachings of Bhagavan Vyasa. Hindu’s literature nowadays is still well preserved especially in Bali. Bali as the savior of Hindu’s literature and not only protecting literary works but also developed forms of other literary works. Hindu’s literature to support the efforts of the character education is Sarasamuccaya and Canakya Nitisastra. The values in it, is still relevant in today’s life and a valuable asset for character education. Its need to practice and accustom these teachings so that the purpose of education to humanize humans, and to realize humans could be achieved.</em>

This research was aimed at answering about globalizing challenges citizen, especially young citizen. Teaching and learning in higher education including Citizenship Education is still conventional emphasizing learning process as the process of inculcating the value of smart and good citizen mainly related to the establishment of global competence of citizens. This study uses qualitative approach to explore the meaninful of practices and sciences of Citizenship Education as character education and global competencies of citizens. Practically, this research was expected to provide for practitioners and scientists of education, especially for Citizenship Education as character development courses in college, especially in the formation of global competencies of young citizens.

A business incubator is a program to encourage the emergence of student’s entrepreneurs in various universities, including Universitas Atma Jaya Yogyakarta. The model applied in generating new entrepreneurs through business incubators at Universitas Atma Jaya Yogyakarta is described in three (3) stages of pre-incubation, incubation, and post-incubation. In the third stage of the incubation process, post incubation, the students have been assessed their readiness before finally tenant plunge as an entrepreneur. In the previous study, the motivation or desire to become an entrepreneur is a major factor to support success in business. However, in the next stage to support business sustainability, especially in the digital era as it is today, the strong capital motivation is not enough. This study aims to examine more deeply the capabilities that must be built to support business sustainability, especially in the digital age with all the technological advances. The qualitative approach is used by using successful tenants as case studies of several types of business, in order to enrich the results of the research. Triangulation and member check processes are applied to generate the results of the research. The resulting model of this study is a refinement of the initial model by emphasizing the sustainability factor of business in the digital era that emphasizes the importance of creative ability and thinking ahead.

This study aims to gain an in-depth understanding of educational values in the novel Madogiwa No Totto-chan by Tetsuko Kuroyanagi with a qualitative approach that includes educational values in terms of the structure of the novel. Research methods. This research is a library research or library research that uses a qualitative approach with content analysis techniques. Conclusion of research findings: The main theme of this novel is EDUCATION, education that frees students to be creative, while the sub-theme is education must be adjusted to the development of the child's personality. The credentials found are: A mother must be wise in educating and caring for her children with special needs. A school principal or a teacher should be a leader who is brave to act in accordance with their respective beliefs and life principles. The educational values in this novel can be used as examples of learning in schools to help children with problems (special needs). An educator should be fun and not scold his students because educating children is not with anger but with advice, praise, and trust. Make kids confident, responsible, love each other, and help each other, introduce them to nature because nature stores various sources of knowledge. Educational values found are educational values related to religious education values, moral education values, social education values, and beauty education values. Recommendation: Madogiwa No Totto-chan's autobiographical novel (Totto-chan Little Girl in the Window) can be used as a learning tool for character education in schools in Indonesia because this Japanese novel has raised educational values that contain a number of noble values. One of the noble values is the value of education in the novel that abstracts the reality of Japanese society's life. The data collection technique of this research were the observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of the study showed that the implementation of character education through school culture focused on religious character, discipline, and independence. Each character is obtained through routine activities, spontaneous activities, and exemplary.</p><p><strong>Abstrak:</strong> Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui implementasi pendidikan karakter melalui budaya sekolah dengan fokus karakter religius, karakter disiplin, dan karakter mandiri. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan rancangan studi multi kasus (<em>multycase studies</em>). Teknik observasi, wawancara, dan studi dokumentasi digunakan dalam pengambilan data pada penelitian ini. This study aims to find out the Islamic religious education teachers in managing the class and also note it to grade IX students in Malangke Barat 2 Public Middle School North Luwu Regency. This research is a field research that uses a qualitative approach that describes the phenomenon as it is. with data collection techniques, interviews, questionnaires and documentation. The data subjects in this study were PAI teachers of 2 people, students of class IX 71 people.The results of the study are: 1) the efforts of Islamic education teachers in classroom management in improving discipline, showing that: a) Implementing learning methods, conducting room arrangement, and evaluating after the learning process, b) Description of student discipline in each class occurs the noise made by students even though the teacher always reprimanded him and indicated the form of discipline that is the students disturbing each other, students mocked each other when a friend arrived late even though the teacher was in the process of explaining, and students made a fuss when the teacher was permission to leave, c) the correlation between the teacher's efforts Islamic education in the management of teacher classes in classroom management with discipline is closely related to the smooth of learning process. If the teacher is less skilled in classroom management, the learning process is hampered and the teaching objectives are difficult to achieve.

<p class="IIABSBARU">This study aimed in general to determine and describe the religious education in a democratic school culture is one of potential strategies in disseminating religious de-radicalization in schools. Applying qualitative naturalistic approach with case study, this study focused the location in Christian High School Urimessing Ambon. The object of this research was the all democratic phenomena found in the process of teaching and learning of Christian education. The results of this study can be described as follows: religious education in a democratic school culture has the potential to disseminate de-radicalization because the learning process optimized the attitude of critical thinking on freedom, independence, and accountability that were assumed to build the belief, attitude and norm of student to: (1) deepen and believe their own religious teachings; (2) commit to transform their religious teacgings in their daily life, both individually and socially; and (3) be­come the real who got off from violence and anarchy in realizing their objectives.</p><p class="IIABSBARU" align="center">***</p>Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menemukan dan mendeskripsikan Pendidikan Agama dalam kultur sekolah demokratis sebagai salah satu strategi membumikan deradikalisasi agama di sekolah. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kuali­tatif naturalistik dengan strategi studi kasus dan mengambil tempat penelitian di SMA Kristen Urimessing Ambon. Objek penelitian ini adalah keseluruhan gejala demokratis dalam proses belajar mengajar Pendidikan Agama Kristen. Hasil pe­nelitian dapat dideskripsikan sebagai berikut, Pendidikan Agama dalam kultur sekolah demokratis berpotensi membumikan deradikalisasi, karena dalam pro­ses belajar mengajar mengoptimalkan sikap kebebasan berpikir kritis, ke­mandiri­an, dan akuntabilitas sehingga dapat membentuk keyakinan, sikap dan nor­ma pe­serta didik untuk: (1) mendalami dan meyakini ajaran agamanya sendiri; (2) ber­komitmen mentransformasikan ajar­an agamanya secara baik dalam ke­hidupan pribadi maupun sosial ber­masyarakat; dan (3) memberi teladan secara konkret tidak terjebak menggunakan kekerasan dan anarkisme dalam mewujudkan keinginan.
