ABSTRACT The purpose of this study was to determine the implementation of learning to read Al-Qur'an Can Affect the ability of students to read Al-Qur'an at grade 1 students at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah. This research method uses quantitative methods using a correlational approach. Based on the results of testing the correlation coefficient obtained price r = 0.633. Based on the product moment correlation table guidelines used, it can be said that between variables X and Y there is a moderate or sufficient correlation. Based on the test results known t count = 4.63 and t table ( = 0.01: 32) = 2.70 (with interpolation). This means t arithmetic> t table. Thus that the proposed hypothesis is accepted, namely that there is a positive and significant correlation between learning to Read the Qur'an and the ability to read the Qur'an. To find out the contribution of variable X to variable Y, the formula Kd = r2 x 100% is used. The determinant coefficient figure of 40.1% shows that the contribution of learning to read and write the Koran to the Learning Achievement of the Education of the Al-Qur'an Hadith is equal to 40.1% while the rest (100% -40.1% = 59.9% ) is influenced by other factors not analyzed Keywords: Al-Qur'an, literacy, learning, education, learning achievement

The purpose of this study was to find out whether there was any relationship between consumptive lifestyle and gold jewelry purchase decision in the customers of gold stores in Banjarmasin-Banjarbaru-Martapura. The method used in this study was a quantitative research method, using accidental sampling technique. The subjects were 60 women who bought gold jewelry, aged around 20 - 50 years old. The instruments were consumptive lifestyle scale and purchase decision scale. The results of Pearson Product Moment correlation analysis indicated that the correlation coefficient was r = -0.302. The results of these calculations proved that there was a negative relationship between consumptive lifestyle and purchase decision in the customers of gold stores in the area of Banjarmasin-Banjarbaru-Martapura; the higher the consumptive lifestyle, the lower the purchase decision or the less the consideration of a person took into buying something. Conversely, the lower the consumptive lifestyle, the higher the purchase decision or the more the consideration of a person took into buying gold jewelry. The effective contribution of consumptive lifestyle on purchase decision in the customers of gold jewelry was 9.1% while the remaining 90.9% of it was influenced by other variables. Keywords: Consumptive Lifestyle, Purchase Decision

Background: Alzheimer’s disease (AD) is the 6th leading cause of death in the United States and has no cure or progression prevention. The Cognitive Reserve (CR) theory poses that constant brain activity earlier in life later helps to deter pathological changes in the brain, delaying the onset of disease symptoms. Objective: To determine the reliability and validity of the Cognitive Reserve Index questionnaire (CRIq) in AD patients. Methods: Primary data collection was done using the CRIq to quantify CR in 90 participants. Correlations and multivariable linear regressions were used to assess reliability and validity. Results: Reliability was tested in 34 participants. A Pearson correlation coefficient of 0.89 (p < 0.001) indicated a strong positive correlation. Validity was tested in 33 participants. A Pearson correlation coefficient of 0.30 (p = 0.10) indicated an insignificant weak positive correlation. Conclusion: The CRIq was found reliable. Gaining a better understanding of how CR tools can be used in various cognitive populations will help with the establishment of a research tool that is universally accepted as a true CR measure.

Background : Psoriasis is one of the common diseases diagnosed in dermatology clinics. It is characterized by erythematous and sharply demarcated papules covered by silvery micaceous scales. Although, etiology is an unclear genetic predisposition seen in 50% of cases. This study aimed to determine the role of malondialdehyde (MDA), ceruloplasmin, and C-Reactive Protein (hs-CRP) as markers of severity of the disease. Methods: N= 75 patients were selected and divided into three categories of different severity based on PASI scores. Those with PASI score of < 10 were mild cases included in group I and with PASI Scores of 11-15 were moderate cases included in group II and PASI scores >15 were in group III. N=25 age and sex-matched taken from healthy people were included in group IV controls. Results: correlation coefficient (r) values were calculated between PASI and biomarkers. Of the biomarkers, a strong positive correlation was shown by serum ceruloplasmin levels in group I and group II (r = + 0.9). Ironically the values in group III of ceruloplasmin were positive the correlation was not strong. The Malondialdehyde values in group III also showed a strong positive correlation with r values of + 0.93. In the hsCRP group, a strong positive correlation was found in group III however, a weak positive correlation was found in group I and group II. Materials and Methods: A Hospital-based Prospective study was conducted in the Department of Medicine, Santhiram medical college & general hospital for a 2 year period.Universal Sampling Technique was used for the selection of study subjects. The study population included patients admitted with fever, flank pain, and positive urine or blood cultures in the department of general medicine in Santhiram medical college and general hospital. The final sample size was 50 subjects. Conclusion: Serum ceruloplasmin was positively correlated with PASI scores and serum MDA levels were highly correlated in severe cases of psoriasis. The hs-CRP was also found to be elevated in the psoriasis cases as compared to controls however, a significant positive correlation was found in severe cases. Therefore, psoriasis severity can be mo

We examined the evolution of extragalactic radio sources using the observed core-hotspot length and hotspot size. Analysis indicates a fairly strong positive correlation in the ratio of core-hotspot length to hotspot size between that of the approaching arm and the receding arm with a correlation coefficient of r ~ 0.7. Simple kinematic consideration enabled us to obtain an expression to constrain the advance speed of hotspots. In general, the average projected hotspot advance speed estimated for our sample ranges from 0.13 ≤β≤0.40
