This study aims to 1) find out the validity of the use of Student Worksheets (LKS) based on the CTL approach, 2) determine the effectiveness of using Student Worksheets (LKS) based on the CTL approach so that it can be used in the Quadrilateral Build Flat material class VII Padang Bulan GKPI Private Middle School Field. This research is a research development (R & D) using the ADDIE learning development model with stages (1) Analysis (Analisis),  (2) Design (Design), (3) Develop (Development), (4) Implement (Implementation), (5) Evaluation (Evaluation). Based on the results of data analysis and discussion, it was obtained data from expert validation results with an average total rating of 4.25 in the very good category so that the LKS was said to be valid and feasible to use. The effectiveness of the LKS based on the CTL approach with the help of GeoGebra was seen from a number of assessments obtained through learning outcomes tests which included: 1) Classical learning completeness of students at 85.18% in the complete category; (2) Achievement of competency indicators with a percentage of 80.08% in the complete category; (3) The results of the observation of the teacher's ability to manage learning with an average value of 3.72 are in the very good category; (4) Effective learning time for four times; (5) Questionnaire of student responses to student worksheets with an average rating of 5.50 is in a very good category and every aspect is responded positively. Based on the results of the above data analysis, it can be concluded that the development of Student Worksheets (LKS) is based on the Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) approach with the help of GeoGebra in the quadrangular Build Flat class VII GKPI Private Middle School Padang Bulan Medan is valid and effective used in supporting the process of learning mathematics.

It is characterized by the acquisition of the average value of social studies students at 59.10 with the percentage of students learning completeness amounted to 50.00% from 20 students. This research is a classroom action research (PTK) which aims to improve student learning outcomes through the implementation of strategies IPS Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL). This study was conducted in 010 primary schools Silikuan Ukui Hulu subdistrict, with research subjects fifth grade students with a number of 20 students. This study was conducted by two cycles. The data used in this study are the activities of teachers, student activities, and learning outcomes are collected using the observation technique teacher and student activities and written tests, while the analytical techniques used in this research is descriptive analysis. The study states that the acquisition of the activities of teachers and students and learning outcomes in each cycle has increased. This is supported by: (1) the percentage of activity the teachers in the first cycle of the first meeting by 45%, in the first cycle of meetings II percentage teacher activity by 52%, the percentage of teacher activity in the second cycle of the first meeting by 65%, the percentage of teacher activity in the second cycle meeting II by 75%; (2) the percentage of student activity in the first cycle of the first meeting by 49%, in the first cycle of meetings II percentage of student activity by 60%, the percentage of the activity of students in the second cycle the first meeting by 63%, the percentage of student activity on the second cycle of meeting II by 79% ; (3) learning outcomes in basic score of 59,10.Dan which reached KKM 65 only 10 students or (50%). The first cycle of the average value obtained by the students reached 63.6. Students who achieve KKM there are 13 students or 65 (65%). Cycle II average value obtained students achieve value above 67 means the KKM. Students who reached the last 16 students or (80%).

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of CSM strategies on comprehension reading skills in classes V Padokan 2 Elementary School. The research method used is a quasi-experimental method. In this study the subjects of the study were VA class students as the control class and V C as the experimental class with 28 VA and VC class students. Quantitative data analysis technique used is the calculation of independent sample t-test. Based on data analysis and discussion, researchers can conclude that CSM strategies are more effective than conventional methods of reading comprehension learning. The results of this study indicate that there is a significant difference between the experimental class and the control class as evidenced by the results of the independent sample t-test obtained by the value of Asymp. Sig (2-Tailed) 0.014 <0.05. CSM strategy is an effective learning strategy seen from the average value of the experimental class posstest which is 81.61 higher than the control class average value of 72.96.

This article will describe learning to write auotobiografi text using Contextual Teaching and Learning approach. The method used in the research, namely the experiment with the design of One-Group Pretest-Postest. Technique of collecting data in the form of test, observation, and questionnaire. The population in the study of students of class XI SMK Nurul Islam Cianjur, with a sample of 22 students. From the results of the study known the average value of the initial test 60.45 and the average value of the final test 80.91. The result of calculation with t-test known value that is 11,41 and value for t.s 0,05 value t = 1,72 and for t.s 0,01 value t = 2.51. Thus, there is a significant difference between students' ability in learning to write autobiographic text before and after using Contextual Teaching and Learning approach. The difference seen in the final test results is higher than the initial test results. The use of Contextual Teaching and Learning approach also get positive response for students, this can be proved by the percentage of student answers for positive response is greater than negative response, that is 30% of students who choose strongly agree (SS)> 4% of students who choose strongly disagree (STS).Keywords: autobiographic text, contextual

This paper describes poetry as an alternative to implement Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL). CTL places learning and learning activities in a real-life context, incorporating not only what is learned but also why students should learn it. Meanwhile, poetry is chosen for its authenticity, in which, all nations have their own record on poetry. The classroom activities which involve poetry are poetry production (writing), poetry performance (reading), and poetry appreciation (speaking). By using poetry, learning processes are expected to meet the seven main components of effective learning: constructivism, questioning, inquiry, learning community, modeling, and authentic assessment. Moreover, the learning process can develop not only language skills but also critical thinking skill.  Keywords: Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL), poetry, components of ideal teaching and learning
