Purpose: The main objective of this study is to investigate the perceptions of pre-service teachers regarding their tutoring program at teacher college model in Mauritania. Approach/Methodology/Design: Explanatory Sequential design was adopted. Hence, a survey questionnaire and interviews were developed to gather data from 80 pre-service teachers, 20 in-service teachers, and 2 mentors. Findings: The findings of the study revealed that internship training has a significant impact on the development of pre-service teachers, but the teacher trainees did not get enough time for internship training sessions due to the workload of the theoretical courses.  Mentors and management support were found insignificant to the development of teacher college model trainees.  Practical Implications: The study provides a systematic evaluation of the current in-service teacher training programs. It reflects certain aspects of the status quo, and hence it will be useful for the concerned authorities in the field of teacher education. Originality/value: Teacher College Model has to adjust the levels of its tutoring where the study found that teacher trainees suffer the short-term practicum while they are complaining about the workload of coursework. Another way of the assessment regarding the tutoring program could be including observation. It is suggested that a qualitative study where researchers can spend more time at the teacher college model and with teaching staff observing the different aspects of the tutoring program.

This research aims to investigate the effectiveness of ICT-based learning on improving all aspects of the English skills of Elementary School Teacher College students. To achieve that goal, we use an experimental methodology with a pretest and post-test design of two groups, using the cluster random sampling. For this research, there were nine classes of Elementary School Teacher College students who enrolled in the Integrated English course with a total of 311 people as the population. From that population, we took samples consisted of four classes: two classes, consist of 76 people that treated with blended learning, and the other two classes, consisting of 73 people, using conventional learning. In this research, we focus on the skillsets of the English Language they are reading, writing, listening, and speaking. To test students’ ability in the first three skills, we used some form of descriptions, while for the speaking skills, we collected data using observation sheets. SPSS version 20 was used for the analysis of pretest and post-test data using the Manova test and Normalized gain (N-gain). Manova’s result showed that a significant difference in English language skills, which can be concluded that the treatment that combines the Moodle-based e-learning and face-to-face classes has effectively impacted students’ English skills.

Researchers point at the need to study the creative processes of students in problem solving, as these may indicate how to encourage creative problem solving. The present research attempts to study, based on the heuristic framework of Polya, pre-service teachers' flexibility processes when they solve a mathematical problem with technology.  The research was held in a teacher college, where two second-year classes of 49 mathematics pre-service teachers (24 in the academic year 2017-2018 and 25 in the academic year 2018-2019) participated in the research. The pre-service teachers were requested to solve the halving-the-rectangle problem with technology, specifically with the GeoGebra software. The research results indicated that generally the participants, who performed flexibility processes, used a sequence of creativity processes: conjecturing, specialization, verifying consequences with technology and generalization.  The conjecturing process utilized mathematical relationship or inference from analogy, where the inference from analogy advanced gradually through solution modifications.

Writing is one of the basic skills in learning English. For some students learning writing is still difficult, especially how to develop ideas into interesting writing. A teacher must be able to apply learning methods that are fun and actively involve students in the learning process, also use appropriate learning media that it can attract students’ interest to make learning writing easier. This research is aimed to understand how to develop students’ writing skill by using picture as an alternative media. The method of the research is a classroom action research. It used three cycles and each cycle consisted of four steps; planning, acting, observation and reflecting. It was conducted at the Teacher College with the total population 50 students. Data needed was obtained from observation, interview and test. The result of the test has shown that there is positive feedback given from students through the use of picture media in writing teaching. It can be proven by the result of the test in each cycle which shown. The first cycle, the students got the average score 71,3 (43%). In the second cycle, they got the average score 74,6 (71,4%). While in the third cycle, they got 76,8 (90,5%). Base on the fact above the researcher concluded that picture media is effective to develop students’ writing skill.

This article tracing the existence of the pedagogic thinkers and their works in several teacher colleges in Indonesia in the period of 1950 to the late of 1990, among others in teacher training institute and pedagogy (IKIP) in Yogyakarta, Bandung, Jakarta, Semarang, Malang, Surabaya, Padang, and Ujung Pandang. This research employing qualitative approach by analyzing several classical references on pedagogy and find out that the pedagogic thinkers in IKIP Bandung and Yogyakarta are very prominent than others. For examples Imam Barnadib and Noeng Muhadjir from Yogyakarta, and Kartini Kartono, Sikun Pribadi, Redja Mudyahardja, Ngalim Purwanto dan others from Bandung. Several pedagogic thinker from another teacher college also prominent, but they are still less productive than pedagogic thinkers from IKIP Bandung and Yogyakarta. It is just Mochtar Buchori and Soegarda Poerbakawatja who could offset the pedagogic thinker’s productivity from IKIP Bandung and Yogyakarta.

Abstract In the preparation of”complete actors” only the technical aspects are not decisive, they will not only train them for the level of mastery. Aerobic exercises, forexample, can only play a part in recreation and muscular development, but when we talk about the scenic movement that uses actors’ preparation, the situation changes; the future actor has to work out physical exercises by passing through the mental as well as the spiritual filter. Each student should think about how the exercises indicated by the teacher feel in their bodies, the reception may be different from the way the teacher / college actors / dancers experience the movement. In this context, the student is the only expert in what he likes to do with the movements indicated by the one in front of him, or what emotions are evoked when he experiences a choreographic phrase. This makes the study of acting or dance a form of art, and the difference is given by their inner experiences. the uniqueness of the body on the move.”
