Objectives This study investigated anthropometric changes of national law enforcement officers (LEOs) in 46 years, compared the differences between LEO data and civilian anthropometry, and identified the magnitude of differences in dimensions measured with gear versus semi-nude measurements. Background The best available 46-year-old anthropometric dataset of LEOs has largely become outdated due to demographic changes. Additionally, anthropometric data of female LEOs and LEO measurements with gear are lacking. Method Thirty-four traditional body dimensions and 15 with gear measurements of 756 male and 218 female LEOs were collected through a stratified national survey using a data collection trailer that traveled across the U.S. and the data were compared to the LEO anthropometric data from 1975 and existing civilian anthropometric databases. Results LEO body size and shape have evolved over the past 46 years - an increase of 12.2 kg in body weight, 90 mm in chest circumference, and 120 mm in waist circumference for men. No previous data was available for comparison for females. Compared to civilians, both male and female LEOs have a larger upper body build. LEO gear added 91 mm in waist breadth for men and 120 mm for women, and 11 kg in weight for men and 9 kg for women. Conclusion The study reveals that equipment design based on the existing civilian datasets or 46-year-old LEO dataset would not accommodate the current LEO population. The new data fill this gap. Application: The differences reported above are important for LEO body gear, vehicle console, and vehicle ingress/egress design.

A method of measuring cattle parameters using neural network methods of image processing was proposed. To this end, several neural network models were used: a convolutional artificial neural network and a multilayer perceptron. The first is used to recognize a cow in a photograph and identify its breed followed by determining its body dimensions using the stereopsis method. The perceptron was used to estimate the cow's weight based on its breed and size information. Mask RCNN (Mask Regions with CNNs) convolutional network was chosen as an artificial neural network. To clarify information on the physical parameters of animals, a 3D camera (Intel RealSense D435i) was used. Images of cows taken from different angles were used to determine the parameters of their bodies using the photogrammetric method. The cow body dimensions were determined by analyzing animal images taken with synchronized cameras from different angles. First, a cow was identified in the photograph and its breed was determined using the Mask RCNN convolutional neural network. Next, the animal parameters were determined using the stereopsis method. The resulting breed and size data were fed to a predictive model to determine the estimated weight of the animal. When modeling, Ayrshire, Holstein, Jersey, Krasnaya Stepnaya breeds were considered as cow breeds to be recognized. The use of a pre-trained network with its subsequent training applying the SGD algorithm and Nvidia GeForce 2080 video card has made it possible to significantly speed up the learning process compared to training in a CPU. The results obtained confirm the effectiveness of the proposed method in solving practical problems.

The Qur'an and Hadith in relation to Islamic Religious Education convey studies related to human nature and all its potentials that can be carried out by each individual human being for the benefit of himself, others and broader interests, to the level of becoming the best human profile in the version. Al Qur'an and human quality according to the study of Hadith. This article aims to find the meaning of Potential and Human Nature according to the Qur'an and Hadith. This writing method is in the form of a literature study (Library Research). The results of the writing describe that human nature has the basic meaning of Basyar (human with body dimensions), Insan (human with dimensions of growth and development), Bani adam (humans with hereditary dimension). The potential that exists in humans is the Instinct Potential (Emotional), Intellectual Potential (Intellectual), Sensory Potential (Physical), Religious Potential (Spiritual).

BACKGROUND: Maximum oxygen consumption (VO2 max) is an important measure of cardiovascular capacity to deliver oxygen to the working muscle at maximal exercise. Anthropometrics is one of the factors that contribute to the maximum oxygen consumption. OBJECTIVE: This study aimed to predict the maximum oxygen consumption based on anthropometrics in the emergency medicine students. METHODS: This cross-sectional study was conducted on the emergency medicine students (n = 56) at Qazvin University of Medical Sciences. Before the data collection, participants completed the consent form and Physical Activity Readiness Questionnaire (PAR-Q). Then, the maximum oxygen consumption and anthropometrics (dimensions and compositions) were measured using Gerkin treadmill test and using tape, anthropometer device and digital caliper respectively. Data were analyzed using Pearson correlation, one-way analysis of variance and multivariate linear regression. RESULTS: The mean of maximum oxygen consumption was 4.11 lit/min in the emergency medicine students. There was a significant relationship between maximum oxygen consumption and anthropometrics (body dimensions and compositions including body fat, waist to hip circumference, and BMI) (p <  0.05). Also, the leg length, the body fat, and the BMI predicted 72% of oxygen consumption. The leg length and BMI had an important role in predicting the maximum oxygen consumption. CONCLUSIONS: The body dimensions and compositions should be taken into consideration to select students and match their capabilities with required energy for the job.

Controlling characters in a virtual reality (VR) environment can lead to the interiorization of their body dimensions by the recipients. The possible preservation of these distortions in their psyche will indicate a high degree of psychological impact of a VR on a person and the potential danger of developing depersonalization of the recipients and their dependence on such stimulation. The study of the stability of these distortions is necessary in the context of ensuring the safety of the impact of VR environments on the human psyche. The main focus of the study is on the perception distortions of human body dimensions, as they are sensed by people immersed in a VR environment, and their dynamics depending on the number of immersions. The impact of the virtual reality environment was simulated using the Freedom Locomotion VR application. One virtual reality immersion session took 15 minutes. To obtain psychometric indicators of the subjects perception of their own body dimensions, the technique Measurements according to M. Feldenkrais was used. All the participants (N = 45, three experimental groups) underwent a mandatory preliminary measurement using this technique (several hours before exposure) and a final measurement (one day after the last exposure). At the same time, the results of preliminary measurements were taken as indicators of the subjects habitual perception of their own body dimensions and were considered in each data processing as a comparison group. Free movement in a VR environment leads to distortions in the subjects perception of their own body dimensions. In all the experimental groups, there was a tendency to exaggerate body dimensions immediately after immersions, which indicates the qualitative similarity of these distortions. The effect of repetitive immersion in a VR environment on the perception of body dimensions is that it increases awareness in perceiving body parts that are least active at the time of immersion. Controlling an anthropomorphic character in a VR leads to an increase in the subjective significance of the recipients own body perception and an increased concentration of attention on the parameters least involved in immersion. The results of the study show that an increased level of awareness in perceiving their own bodies is characteristic of the subjects who have experience of repetitive immersions in a VR environment in the guise of an anthropomorphic character. Controlling a bodily projection in a VR headset does not cause its long-term interiorization, but has a positive effect on the formation of personal corporeality.

Background and Objectives:To establish age-, gender- and body dimension-adjusted normal cut-off values for Meissner’s corpuscle (MC) densities via in-vivo reflectance confocal microscopy (RCM), timed vibration sensory thresholds using a 128Hz tuning fork, and touch-pressure sensory thresholds using standardized monofilaments, for clinical and research application.Methods:77 prospectively recruited individuals without signs or symptoms of peripheral neuropathy or a condition or neurotoxin exposure that can alter sensory function underwent cross-sectional evaluation of MC densities via in-vivo RCM, monofilament touch-pressure sensory thresholds, and timed vibration sensory thresholds in non-dominant upper and lower extremities. Age-, gender-, and body dimension- (e.g., height) adjusted normal values were developed. The 5th percentile for MC densities and timed vibration thresholds and 95th percentile for MF touch-pressure thresholds were selected as normal cut-off points.Results:Subjects were aged 9 to 89 years old. Age and gender were uniformly distributed. Timed vibration and touch-pressure thresholds were less sensitive with increasing age and were more sensitive in the hand than in the leg or foot within individuals. Timed vibration thresholds did not differ by gender or body dimensions. Touch-pressure thresholds were lower (more sensitive) at the thenar eminence and digit V in the hand in women compared to men but otherwise did not differ by gender at other measurement locations. Body dimensions did not affect touch-pressure thresholds. There were no apparent age-related floor effects for the 5th and 95th percentile normal cutoff values for timed vibration or touch-pressure thresholds, respectively. MC densities also declined with age and were highest at digit V and lowest at the arch within individuals. MC densities were affected by gender or body dimensions at all imaging sites, with lower densities seen in males or larger individuals. MC densities were quantifiable in the hand of all participants and were associated with touch-pressure thresholds at all locations.Discussion:This study establishes age-, gender- and body dimension-adjusted normal cut-off values for two easily applied measures of large fiber sensory function and RCM assessment of MC densities for multiple limb locations. These results will aid in the detection and monitoring of peripheral sensory nerve disorders.

Abstract This study was conducted in the animal farm of the College of Veterinary Medicine/Tikrit University for the period from 01/10/2019 to 31/12/2019 to investigate the effect of using different kinds of aromatic oils on some productive traits in Awassi lambs. Twenty Awassi lambs aged between 5-6 month and divided according to weight into four group and hens in an individual cages, the study lasted for 90 day. concentrate diet provided to the lambs at 3% of their body weight. the treatment were as follows : T1 was a control group without drenching, T2 drenched with sage oil, T3 drenched with clove oil and T4 drenched with laurel oil. drenching process was done manually by using water-soluble capsules each one contain 500 mg of oil, each lambs was given one capsule/day. which is pushed by using a plastic tube in to the beginning of esophagus. to study the effect of these oils on weight characteristics, body dimensions and wool characteristics. The results showed that there was no significant effect of the treatments on body weight characteristics. As for the measurements of the body dimensions after a month of the experiment, laurel oil, clove oil and sage oil had a significant effect on the chest circumference, the width of the body at the front, the width of the body at the back and BCS, and also the parameters had a significant effect on the measurements of body dimensions At the end of the experiment, the characteristics of the height of the body at the front, the height of the body at the back, the circumference of the chest, and the length of the body. As for the characteristics of the wool, the oils used led to a decrease in the percentage of clean wool and an increase in the length of the fiber compared to the control.

Adolescence is a period of transition from childhood to adulthood, defined by major changes in physical, behavioural and social plan. The interest of teenagers for computer technology is in a perpetual growing and shopping online is one of their favourite activities. The garment industry is extremely competitive in terms of virtual simulation, consisting of 3D virtual bodies, virtual garments and virtual try-on systems. The paper presents the advanced method of designing 2D patterns, started from the 3D surfaces, obtained by real scanning of several teenager bodies. The development of a jacket model for girls, by using Optitex software with its high-performance modules 3D Flattening, 3D Simulations and PDS, based on the anthropometric standard for children, SR 13546: 2012, will be presented. These modules enable the designer to preview the shape of the product and its fitting to the body dimensions, which offer the possibility of developing to an infinite number of clothing collections just by changing the characteristics of the material, various seams, accessories or colours.
