A two-domain approach involving position and location has been introduced to provide a formal description needed for optimal organization of information processing for utilization in Location-Based Services development and operation. This paper proposes the transformation that connects the two domains (position and location), outlines its formal description, and validates the concept using the Context-Matching method as a paradigm.

The diagnosis and management of idiopathic intracranial hypertension (IIH) can be difficult and multiple medical subspecialities are often involved. Several national and international guidelines regarding the investigations and management of IIH have been published in recent years but still there is no consensus about the optimal organization of IIH-care. The objective of this review was to propose and describe a referral pathway and an organization scheme for diagnosis and management of IIH. An extensive search of existing literature was conducted and summarized. In total, 237 IIH-articles were identified and hereof 43 included. The clinical practice in our specialized IIH-clinic is characterized and described. We conclude that an educational campaign involving medical care providers and patients with chronic headaches is necessary. A detailed organizational proposal for a referral pathway and management of IIH patients based on the literature search and our clinical experience from a highly specialized IIH outpatient clinic is suggested and discussed.

Background. This article examines the concept of «cognitive independence», as well as «cognitive activity» and analyzes the main ways and means of forming these abilities in the educational process. To study the individual psychological characteristics of a student as a subject of activity by identifying the dependence of mental independence on the parameters of the cognitive style, which is the basis for success in educational activities and further implementation of self-education. Methods. In this article were used methods an objective study of the subject of research; study in development, considering the conditions and influencing factors; study in activity, as one of the main conditions for development; systemic - structural approach; the concept of individuality. Results. The technologies successfully used in the practice of teaching a foreign language are analyzed as modern personality-oriented technologies that ensure the formation of linguistic and professional competence, readiness for self-education. Conclusion. Only a combination of all types of tasks represents the optimal organization of independent activity, contributes to the best assimilation of the material and forms students’ independence in the learning process.

Diabetes mellitus (DM) is one of the most serious medical, social and economic health problems in all countries of the world. The greatest danger of this disease is associated with the development of vascular complications. Maintaining targeted control of risk factors: glycemia, hypertension and dyslipidemia directly from the onset of diabetes throughout the patient's life remains the most promising direction for preventing the development and progression of diabetic complications. An essential condition for effective DM control is the creation of active screening programs aimed at the earliest possible diagnosis of complications, and the optimal organization of the clinical and diagnostic process within the framework of ensuring a multidisciplinary approach to treatment.

The optimal organization for functional segregation and integration in brain is made evident by the “small-world” feature of functional connectivity (FC) networks and is further supported by the loss of this feature that has been described in many types of brain disease. However, it remains unknown how such optimally organized FC networks arise from the brain's structural constrains. On the other hand, an emerging literature suggests that brain function may be supported by critical neural dynamics, which is believed to facilitate information processing in brain. Though previous investigations have shown that the critical dynamics plays an important role in understanding the relation between whole brain structural connectivity and functional connectivity, it is not clear if the critical dynamics could be responsible for the optimal FC network configuration in human brains. Here, we show that the long-range temporal correlations (LRTCs) in the resting state fMRI blood-oxygen-level-dependent (BOLD) signals are significantly correlated with the topological matrices of the FC brain network. Using structure-dynamics-function modeling approach that incorporates diffusion tensor imaging (DTI) data and simple cellular automata dynamics, we showed that the critical dynamics could optimize the whole brain FC network organization by, e.g., maximizing the clustering coefficient while minimizing the characteristic path length. We also demonstrated with a more detailed excitation-inhibition neuronal network model that loss of local excitation-inhibition (E/I) balance causes failure of critical dynamics, therefore disrupting the optimal FC network organization. The results highlighted the crucial role of the critical dynamics in forming an optimal organization of FC networks in the brain and have potential application to the understanding and modeling of abnormal FC configurations in neuropsychiatric disorders.

Purpose. Construction of an economic and mathematical model of the optimal organization of a system of business processes and its testing at an enterprise in the field of engineering services. Methodology. Methods of analysis and synthesis, systematization, theoretical generalization are used to study approaches to optimizing business processes of enterprises; modeling to create an economic and mathematical model of the optimal organization of the system of business processes; approbation of the developed model at an enterprise in the field of engineering services. Findings. The article proves the need to assess the impact of various economic factors on the financial results of economic activities of enterprises and the construction of business systems of enterprises, economic and mathematical models for their optimization. It has been determined that business process modeling is an effective means of improving quality management systems in accordance with the requirements of the international standard ISO 9001:2015, determining, identifying and minimizing the risks of enterprises, ensuring their successful activities in general. An economic and mathematical model has been developed for the optimal organization of the system of business processes of an enterprise as a means of maximizing the total profit from the implementation of works and services. Originality. An economic and mathematical model of the optimal organization of the system of business processes of enterprises in the field of engineering services has been built as an effective tool for improving their quality management systems and activities in general. Practical value. The use of the constructed economic and mathematical model of the optimal organization of the system of business processes of enterprises in the field of engineering services will provide the management team with important information for making management decisions aimed at improving quality management systems, achieving key business goals and maximizing profits.

On the basis of the generalization of theory and practice, the possibilities of managing agribusiness enterprises with the allocation of responsibility centers are reflected. The article shows that the mechanism of accounting for the responsibility of enterprises of the agro-industrial sector is an integral and mandatory component of the effective operation of the enterprise. The main centers of responsibility are identified, the functions, the most significant principles of cost accounting for places and centers of financial responsibility, as well as the functional relationships and interdependencies of agribusiness enterprises among themselves in various areas of activity are identified. It is proved that the diagnosis and development of effective financial relations at agricultural enterprises and the optimal organization of all processes of activity in the market leads to the expansion of both external and internal financial relations.

AbstractThe article presents a general method for identity the security risk factor for alarm signal transmission systems (ASTS), which are used in monitoring buildings and critical infrastructure. The security of the transmission of alarm signals to an alarm receiving center (ARC) is a property of the process, which is associated witch performing of tasks and functions, human factor, hardware and environment components. The process of transmitting alarm signals should be characterized by minimizing risk of external and internal interception/distortion or deformation of transmitted signals and in ideal case signals should be encrypted and integrity checked. Determining the security risk indicator for ASTS will allow optimal organization of electronic security systems.
