The review presents data from studies on climate change in the Arctic and subarctic regions of Russia It is showed, that climate changes unevenly within different regions and seasons. In Yakutia there is a tendency of more frequent events, such as: unexpected spring floods, summer-autumn rain floods, heavy precipitation in winter and other phenomena resulted in hydrodynamic accidents at low-pressure water management structures as well as water supply decrease for reclamation purposes. Takin into account the results of the analysis, it can be assumed that the adaptive technologies application under conditions of climate change in order to increase water availability in the rural areas of both Yakutia and Subarctic zones is a fundamental direction of scientific research in the field of land melioration in the cryolithozone of Yakutia in the context of climate change, which requires research updating to improve methods, new technical, constructive and technological solutions in hydraulic amelioration.

AbstractThe design of new host–guest complexes represents a fundamental challenge in supramolecular chemistry. At the same time, it opens new opportunities in material sciences or biotechnological applications. A computational tool capable of automatically predicting the binding free energy of any host–guest complex would be a great aid in the design of new host systems, or to identify new guest molecules for a given host. We aim to build such a platform and have used the SAMPL7 challenge to test several methods and design a specific computational pipeline. Predictions will be based on machine learning (when previous knowledge is available) or a physics-based method (otherwise). The formerly delivered predictions with an RMSE of 1.67 kcal/mol but will require further work to identify when a specific system is outside of the scope of the model. The latter is combines the semiempirical GFN2B functional, with docking, molecular mechanics, and molecular dynamics. Correct predictions (RMSE of 1.45 kcal/mol) are contingent on the identification of the correct binding mode, which can be very challenging for host–guest systems with a large number of degrees of freedom. Participation in the blind SAMPL7 challenge provided fundamental direction to the project. More advanced versions of the pipeline will be tested against future SAMPL challenges.

The subject of the study is to consider the issues regarding the set-off of the time spent in custody or house arrest at the time of punishment, both during the sentencing and during its execution. The purpose of the study is to disclose the problematic issues of calculating the period of detention subject to offsetting the term of imprisonment, the beginning of the term of serving a sentence of imprisonment. The procedure for setting off the time spent by a person under house arrest until a court verdict comes into force is considered if a court imposes a sentence that is not related to isolation from society. The main results of the study reflect problems in sentencing if the time of detention absorbs the sentence assigned to the defendant by the court, as well as the issues of applying preferential rules for setting off the time of detention in custody when sentencing for the totality of crimes and the totality of sentences, criminal of the law in time when the time in the sentence is set off, for crimes committed before July 14, 2018. As a fundamental direction, the scientific and practical validity of the criminal law policy and legislative processes, the optimization of the implementation of the criminal law are noted.

The unit of romantic art, governed by academic laws, begins to be shaken, realism as a fundamental direction, based on a direct connection with life, gradually imposing itself, bringing a new aesthetic, with its own, particular ideas, with specific methods and means of expression. The decline of Romanticism started with the first signs of crisis manifested by the repetition of the clichés and by the insistence with which one struggles to maintain all the arts within the narrow frame of the canons, is accentuated and, especially after the Paris Commune, will lead to the outline of new directions, of national specificity, to which a large number of artists from all generations joined, considering their action as a mission and a patriotic duty of honor, of an exceptional significance in finding a path conducive to the further development of French art.

AbstractThe link between obesity and a wide range of cardiovascular disorders is well known.(1,2) In recent years, the prevalence of obesity has reached an alarming level.(3) Unfortunately, the situation is similar for the paediatric population – which may provide a perspective on the continuously growing global burden of this affliction.(4) Acting upon this issue is a fundamental direction in modern preventive medicine. A firm action starting in childhood may prove itself to be more beneficial the sooner it is implemented. Multiple anthropometric, clinical, laboratory and imaging parameters have been related to the presence of obesity and cardiovascular risk. This article represents a proposal for a possible protocol of a study aimed at paediatric obesity as a cardiovascular risk factor and aims to construct a model for a therapeutic intervention in these patients.

The subject of the research is the mechanism of criminal law regulation, taking into account international life implemented in the context of globalization and increasing the efficiency of the criminal law policy of the Russian Federation. The purpose of the study is to disclose the content, structural elements and stages of the mechanism of criminal law regulation. Attention focuses on the effectiveness of the mechanism of criminal law regulation, the methodological basis of which is formed by a combination of legal regulation on the basis of the doctrinal principles of law and practice and implementation activities. The main results of the research reflect the problems of implementation of the mechanism of criminal law regulation at the legislative and law enforcement levels. Conclusions are formulated regarding the structural elements and key stages of the implementation of the mechanism of criminal law regulation, including the scientific rationale for criminalization (decriminalization) and penalization (depenalization). Scientific and practical substantiation of criminal law policy and legislative processes, optimization of the implementation of criminal law are noted as a fundamental direction.

Every year thousands of military veterans were discharged honorably in Malaysia. The government has been helping those veterans to get their feet back into civilian economy. A number of relocation programmes are introduced as part of the efforts. Previous studies show that franchising system is a successful route to start a new life changing experience for many people. Veterans, geared with discipline and broad military training experiences, are a good fit for franchising system. This paper presents findings from a content analysis of United States’ top 50 franchisors voted as the best companies for their veteran initiatives. Based on the findings, a franchising framework for veteran initiatives is based on three core components: financial incentives, corporate support and training. This study contributes a practical implication by providing a fundamental direction for the franchise industry in Malaysia to model their own veterans initiatives frameworks.

In engineering systems, which are used in construction industry and its production (buildings, constructions, roads), two fundamentally different ways of mechanical joint are used: non-collapsible and collapsible. Some architects relate non-collapsible objects to monolithic and consider their recycling as a difficult and expensive process. Compression joints on self-locking fittings can be considered as non-collapsible as well. A compression connection cannot be disassembled without destroying. Collapsible joint differs from non-collapsible by the following features: 1. You can disassemble it to original components according to a prior technology, identify and change defective elements or add some other components. 2. It requires periodic inspection and maintenance because of climatic conditions (temperature changes, pressure changes, wind loads, etc.), and the specificity of operation of this joint leads to a decrease in its mechanical properties. 3. It is forbidden to make them monolithic, so collapsible joints are mounted in an accessible way. Collapsible finishing system is a new fundamental direction of building reconstruction in the TTS system “man-technologyenvironment” in high-rise construction objects.
