In today’s information storm, conventionally speaking, we can distinguish two types of information: the 1st is “Hypertext” or Big Text – this is a huge array of structured and unstructured information. System comprehension of hypertext in the chosen field is a classical school, secondary or higher professional education; the 2nd is compactified knowledge, i.e. the result of the knowledge approach. Compactified knowledge is presented in a special, “condensed” form, including extensive use of infographics and other visual techniques. They can also be organized in such a way as to operate with human actions (algorithms). To a scientist, the use of compactified knowledge allows him to see better and faster the interconnections of the subject of his research with other disciplines. This is especially necessary for interdisciplinary, breakthrough research. Compactified knowledge includes, for example, checklists, which summarize to one or two pages the experience of incorrect actions in a certain situation, making it possible to avoid them. Compactification does not replace the experience of long-term learning with “hypertext”, it complements the experience of conventional education in those situations where “quick” knowledge is needed for application and where the cost of error is high. Without basic education, the effect of applying compactified knowledge may be lower. Compactified knowledge is not impoverished (reduced) knowledge, but condensed, concentrated knowledge. It is obvious that in the field of knowledge compactification demand exceeds supply, techniques and methods of its generation are in a state of formation, and generators of this knowledge are obviously not enough, which opens a wide field of activity in this direction.

The article is devoted to the problem of accounting reflection of rental relations, which has been the subject of discussion by professional accountants for more than 100 years. At present, more standards are devoted to this problem in world practice than to other accounting objects. Nevertheless, a number of issues remain unresolved. The methodological framework of the study is based on a comparative description of the provisions of IFRS 16 “Leases” and FSBU 25/2018 “Accounting for Leases” and includes a new institutional theory, Conceptual framework for the presentation of financial statements. The research methodology provides for the reclassification of balance sheet items, which allows for significant structural information regarding the reflection of rental objects. The analysis revealed the following differences in standards: the Russian FSBU 25/2018 unreasonably introduces accounting for leasing transactions into the financial lease accounting system; insufficiently convincingly and without proper evidence the issues of identification of financial lease accounting objects are covered. The prospective direction of accounting for financial leases is the possibility of reflecting the property transferred by the lessee as an element of the cost of financial capital, at the same time, the tenant’s long-term obligations should be recognized as existing obligations. The practical significance of the study is determined by the possibility of reducing the level of debt in the balance of the parties to the lease transaction.

The purpose of the publication is to highlight the main results of the development of the first Ukrainian interactive atlas “Population of Ukraine and its natural and cultural heritage”. It was created in accordance with the Memorandum of Cooperation between the NAS of Ukraine and the Ministry of Culture and Information Policy of Ukraine. According to analysis of previous researches, there have been no attempts to map the complex and long-term processes of interaction between the population and its natural and cultural heritage so far in Ukraine and abroad. The Atlas provides knowledge and information about the historical stages of development of the population of Ukraine and the formation of its cultural and natural heritage in the following sections: 1. Ukraine in the European space - 3 maps; 2. Population - the subject of heritage formation - 57 maps; 3. Natural and cultural heritage - 28 maps; 4. Protection, preservation, restoration and using of natural and cultural heritage - 9 maps. The Atlas was developed using the updated AtlasSF Atlas Solutions Framework, one of the previous versions of which was used to create the Electronic version of the National Atlas of Ukraine. The modern architecture of AtlasSF allows integrating the developed atlas both in the atlas information system, and in the atlas geoinformation system of cultural heritage. All types of information resources were used to create the Atlas: maps, texts, photos, statistics. The interactive atlas contains 97 vector maps, texts, photos and tables.

The commercialization of hydrogen as a fuel faces severe technological, economic, and environmental challenges. As a method to overcome these challenges, microalgal biohydrogen production has become the subject of growing research interest. Microalgal biohydrogen can be produced through different metabolic routes, the economic considerations of which are largely missing from recent reviews. Thus, this review briefly explains the techniques and economics associated with enhancing microalgae-based biohydrogen production. The cost of producing biohydrogen has been estimated to be between $10 GJ-1 and $20 GJ−1, which is not competitive with gasoline ($0.33 GJ−1). Even though direct biophotolysis has a sunlight conversion efficiency of over 80%, its productivity is sensitive to oxygen and sunlight availability. While the electrochemical processes produce the highest biohydrogen (>90%), fermentation and photobiological processes are more environmentally sustainable. Studies have revealed that the cost of producing biohydrogen is quite high, ranging between $2.13 kg−1 and 7.24 kg−1via direct biophotolysis, $1.42kg−1 through indirect biophotolysis, and between $7.54 kg−1 and 7.61 kg−1via fermentation. Therefore, low-cost hydrogen production technologies need to be developed to ensure long-term sustainability which requires the optimization of critical experimental parameters, microalgal metabolic engineering, and genetic modification.

The process of formation of the general professional competencies of future teachers is the subject of research by many domestic and foreign scientists, which come down to the updating of general professional competencies, the study of their essence and content, become the subject of planning in documents of state and strategic importance, are reflected in the development strategies of domestic and foreign education systems. The analysis of regulatory documents in the field of higher professional education of the Kyrgyz Republic and the analysis of the results of the final state certification of university graduates led to the conclusion that to date, a mechanism for assessing the level of competency formation is not sufficiently developed. A survey was conducted with employers, a conversation with schoolteachers, on the basis of which some facts were revealed that indicate a low level and even lack of formality of some competencies, from among both universal and professional competencies. Over the past five years, the task of effective innovative functioning of the domestic system of higher professional education has been positioned with particular acuteness, which is associated with a number of different reasons that inevitably occur at the educational level. And the requirements of employers to improve the quality of higher professional education and to carry out high-quality training of graduates from year to year become a leading guideline not only for employers, but also for consumers in the format of state and social orders. Sources are analyzed that made it possible to focus on the problems of teacher education that exist both in the domestic system and in the countries of the post-Soviet space. For the formation of the general professional competencies of future history teachers, it is important to develop modern mechanisms for implementing this process that would meet the requirements of the basic skills of the 21st century in the context of person-centered education throughout life.

The purpose of the article is to highlight the main milestones in the life and creative path of the famous scientist in the field of animal husbandry, Doctor of Biological Sciences, Professor I. V. Smirnov, his contribution to the formation of the sectorial experimental work and the spread of higher professional education. Research methods – general scientific (analysis, synthesis, classification), special historical (problem-chronological, comparative-historical, biographical), source studies. The scientific novelty of the article lies in the detailed study of the Terezyno period of I. V. Smirnov's activities, during which the new technological solutions were established and implemented contributing to the development of the theory and methodology of artificial insemination of farm animals. It is proved that on the basis of the Kiev Experimental Station of Animal Husbandry "Terezyno" the scientist implemented the concept of the development of higher professional education, based on the combination of the educational process with long-term industrial practice; laid the foundations for international cooperation in the field of reproduction biotechnology in animal husbandry. The main components of the I. V. Smirnov's creativity are highlighted, namely: methods of sperm long-term storage, technologies and techniques of artificial insemination, biology and physiology of reproduction of farm animals, etc. The researcher developed the theory of anabiosis, the theory of cold sperm shock, established the methods for mammalian sperm diluting and evaluating. He updated research on the use of blood groups for testing the lineage of animals and artificially regulating the sex of the offspring. It is shown that the method of mammalian sperm long-term storage formed the theoretical basis for the reorganization of domestic breeding on the basis of the widespread introduction of artificial insemination, contributed to a fast transformation of the gene pool of farm animals due to the involvement of genetic resources of foreign breeding in the selection process. It has been proved that thanks to the I. V. Smirnov's creative initiatives, the foundations have been laid for the development of a new direction in the science of the reproduction of organic species – reproductive biotechnology of farm animals.

Purpose This study examined caregiver perceptions of their child's language and literacy disorder as influenced by communications with their speech-language pathologist. Method The participants were 12 caregivers of 10 school-aged children with language and literacy disorders. Employing qualitative methods, a collective case study approach was utilized in which the caregiver(s) of each child represented one case. The data came from semistructured interviews, codes emerged directly from the caregivers' responses during the interviews, and multiple coding passes using ATLAS.ti software were made until themes were evident. These themes were then further validated by conducting clinical file reviews and follow-up interviews with the caregivers. Results Caregivers' comments focused on the types of information received or not received, as well as the clarity of the information. This included information regarding their child's diagnosis, the long-term consequences of their child's disorder, and the connection between language and reading. Although caregivers were adept at describing their child's difficulties and therapy goals/objectives, their comments indicated that they struggled to understand their child's disorder in a way that was meaningful to them and their child. Conclusions The findings showed the value caregivers place on receiving clear and timely diagnostic information, as well as the complexity associated with caregivers' understanding of language and literacy disorders. The findings are discussed in terms of changes that could be made in clinical practice to better support children with language and literacy disorders and their families.

SummaryBackground: Compression stockings are widely used in patients with varicose veins. Methods: Based on published literature three main points are discussed: 1. the rationale of compression therapy in primary varicose veins, 2. the prescription of compression stockings in daily practice, 3. studies required in the future. Results: The main objective of prescribing compression stockings for patients with varicose veins is to improve subjective leg complaints and to prevent swelling after sitting and standing. No convincing data are available concerning prevention of progression or of complications. In daily practice varicose veins are the most common indication to prescribe compression stockings. The compliance depends on the severity of the disorder and is rather poor in less severe stages. Long-term studies are needed to proof the cost-effectiveness of compression stockings concerning subjective symptoms and objective signs of varicose veins adjusted to their clinical severity. Conclusion: Compression stockings in primary varicose veins are able to improve leg complaints and to prevent swelling.
