The primary objective of this study is to examine and identify the classroom assessment techniques (CATs) that might provide and help teachers through assessment and evaluation processes in Music, Arts, Physical Education, and Health (MAPEH) using pre-experimental research through one-group pretest-posttest design. The study was conducted at Jose Abad Santos High School in Manila, Philippines during the third grading period of the researcher’s practicum. The sample of the study consists of 20 students selected through the purposive sampling technique. Quantitative and quali-tative data analyses were employed. The instruments used in the study were a teacher made quiz, CATs sample assessment as the treatment, and the perception survey questionnaire (PSQ) regarding the CATs. The result revealed that there is a significant difference between the pre-evaluation and post-evaluation after the CATs implementation. In the post-evaluation, the mean score was significantly higher than the pre-evaluation, which indicates that the CATs improved the performance of students in MAPEH. On the other hand, as revealed in the PSQ, the students regarded the CATs positively. It shows, in this case, that CATs are a great alternative to traditional assessments. Other CATs to be developed and implemented for better learning and effective teaching are recommended.

Technology is changing the world we live in. It affects the way people see, think, and learn their environment and communicate with others. In the educational field, there have been previous studies revealing the positive attitudes toward the use of mobile devices and applications. However, the empirical studies of the practice of how to use a specific mobile device and application effectively are done in a limited scale. Taking the experimental research method, this study investigated the effectiveness of the use of Instagram application on the students performance in writing descriptive texts. The main research question was centred around whether there was significant difference in the ability of writing descriptive text between students who were taught using Instagram and those who arent. Involving random sampling technique, this study involved 50 students of a private high school in Yogyakarta as the research sample. The empirical data were collected through pre and post tests. The data were analyzed quantitatively applying t-test computation and descriptive analysis. Results of the study indicate that there is significant difference in students writing score between those taught using Instagram and those who arent. In conclusion, teaching students writing by using Instagram pictures are more effective than teaching without using Instagram pictures. In other words, the use of Instagram is effective in teaching writing descriptive texts. Keywords: technology; Instagram; experimental research; writing descriptive text.

Aim: to assess the effectiveness of amla juice with honey on hemoglobin levels among B.Sc nursing students with anemia at selected nursing colleges, Dindigul. Pre experimental research design with one group pretest and posttest design was used for this study. Samples were selected by using purposive sampling technique. The investigator assessed the pretest levels of hemoglobin by using sahli’s method. Then from next day, 100ml of amla juice with 10 ml of honey was administered to the same samples daily in the morning before breakfast under the supervision of the researcher for a period of 15 days. On 18th day, the investigator assessed the posttest levels of hemoglobin by using the sahli’s method. Finally, the statistical analysis the mean score of pretest 8.31 and posttest 9.52 and paired‘t’ test proved that the 25.910‘t’ value (table value is 1.96) had a significant difference between the pretest and posttest levels of hemoglobin among B.Sc Nursing students with anemia at 0.05 level of significance. The study finding showed that the Amla juice with honey was effective for the B.Sc Nursing students with anemia. Keywords: Amla Juice with Honey, Hemoglobin, Anemia.
