School counselors need to advocate and act as an ally for all students. Safe Space, a training designed to facilitate competency for working with and serving LGBTQ youth (i.e., LGBTQ competency), has received increased attention in the field of school counseling. However, limited empirical support exists for training interventions such as Safe Space, with only one study to date examining its effectiveness for graduate psychology students (see Finkel, Storaasli, Bandele & Schaefer, 2003). This study used a randomized pretest-posttest control group design to evaluate and examine the impact of Safe Space training on competency levels of a sample of school counselors/school counselor trainees and to explore the relationship between LGBTQ competency and awareness of sexism and heterosexism.

The study aims to test the effectiveness of career guidance program to develop vocational identity of students. The study uses a quantitative approach with quasi experimental methods and non-equivalent pretest-posttest control group design. The study was conducted in SMK Muhammadiyah Imogiri Yogyakarta by taking a research subject that is a class XI student who is determined by random cluster sampling technique. An instrument which is used is the scale of vocational identity and observation guidelines. Results showed empirically career guidance program interventions based theory of Super effective to develop vocational identity of students. This research can be a reference for school counselor in developing vocational identity of students in the school especially those who are in adolescence

The present study aims the experimental design adopted in the present study is the partial control experimental design of a pre-post control group design. The present study has been limited to the fifth primary class pupils included with in the state primary schools in Baghdad during the academic year (2017-2018), The sample consists of 63 male and female 4th primary class pupils , distributed into 31 ones as an experimental group from Al-Mutanbi Primary school and 32 students as a control group Equalization. The instrument is constructing test measuring concepts acquisition consisted of (8) concepts which consists of (24) items. Experimental group pupils, who have been exposed to Strategy Analog Thinking, have been superior to those at the control group in social content material acquisition.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji (1) perbedaan pengaruh pembelajaran Desain Busana menggunakan media mood board dan media contoh gambar desain busana terhadap kreativitas dan hasil belajar Desain Busana mahasiswa;  (2) pengaruh positif pembelajaran Desain Busana dengan menggunakan media mood board dibandingkan menggunakan media contoh gambar desain busana terhadap kreativitas desain busana mahasiswa; (3) pengaruh positif pembelajaran Desain Busana dengan menggunakan media mood board dibandingkan dengan menggunakan media contoh gambar desain busana terhadap hasil belajar desain busana mahasiswa. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuasi eksperimen dengan desain Pretest-Posttest, Nonequivalent Control Group Design. Penelitian ini menggunakan kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol. Populasi penelitian adalah mahasiswa kelas A dan D semester 2 di Pendidikan Teknik Busana FT UNY. Hasil t-test menunjukkan pretest mahasiswa kelas kontrol dan kelas eksperimen hampir sama. Data hasil belajar posttestmenunjukkan selisih skor rata-rata antara kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol berkategori sangat tinggi. Berdasarkan hasil nilai rata-rata diperoleh bahwa terjadi peningkatan hasil kreativitas mahasiswa yang signifikan.Kata kunci: media mood board, hasil belajar, desain busana THE IMPACT OF USING MOOD BOARD MEDIA TO  FASHION DESIGN KNOWLEDGE ON FASHION  DESIGN ENGINEERING STUDENTSAbstractThis research aimed to examine (1) the effect of differences in learning to use media Fashion Design mood board and fashion design drawings media examples in creativity and Fashion Design student learning outcomes; (2) the positive influence of learning by using media Fashion Design mood board than using media examples fashion design drawings for the creativity of fashion design students; (3) a positive influence of learning by using media Fashion Design mood board compared to using the media sample images for learning outcomes of Fashion Design student. This research is a quasi-experimental research with pretest-posttest design, Nonequivalent Control Group Design. This research uses experimental class and control class. The research population was a student of class A and D in the 2nd half of Technical Fashion Education Faculty of Engineering, Yogyakarta State of University. t-test results indicate student pretest control class and experimental class is almost the same. Data posttest study results show the difference in average scores between the experimental class and control class category is very high. Based on the results of the average value obtained that an increase in the creativity of the students are significant.Keywords: fashion mood boards, learning outcomes, fashion design

There have been long-term concerns regarding discriminatory discipline practices used with culturally and linguistically diverse students, with little research on the impact teacher-centered empathy interventions may have on this population. This randomized pretest–posttest control group design investigates the ability of a brief empathy-inducing intervention to improve the implicit bias of pre-service teachers, as measured by the Implicit Association Test. We found the empathy intervention statistically significant at decreasing the implicit bias of White female pre-service teachers toward Black individuals ( F = 7.55, η2 = 0.22, p = 0.01). Implications and future research are discussed, including extended intervention periods.

Background: Indonesia is included in the list of countries most at risk of disaster. So that disaster preparedness is needed which is an effort to prevent the onset of crisis due to disaster which is focused on developing plans to deal with disasters. The problem that arises is that there are still many Indonesian citizens who do not know and understand what a disaster is, how to anticipate and overcome a disaster. The purpose of this community service is to increase community preparedness in the face of the impact phase of disaster in the village of Karanganyar Wonorejo. Methods: The design of this study was a quasi-experiment with a pre-post without control group design involving 29 respondents. Result: The results of education on the readiness of residents in facing the impact phase of the disaster proved to significantly increase knowledge with a p-value of 0.006. Conclusion: Increasing the readiness of citizens in facing disasters in the impact phase can be done by providing massive education and information to the community

Background: During the first stage of labor, a woman will experience a psychological disorder, namely anxiety, the impact will cause muscle tension in the body, the birth canal becomes stiff, hard and difficult to expand resulting in the labor process not going smoothly. The main content in lavender oil is linalool acetate which can relax and relax the working system of the nerves and tense muscles.Objective: This study aims to determine the effect of lavender aromatherapy on maternal anxiety at RSU Kota Tangerang Selatan in 2021.Methodology: This quasi-experimental study used a pretest and posttest design with a control group design. The sample in this study amounted to 30 mothers who will give birth at RSU Kota Tangerang Selatan with 15 respondents each. The sampling technique used total sampling. The research instrument used the Hamilton Rating Scale for Anxienty (HRS-A) questionnaire. Data were analyzed using the Independent T-test, which previously tested for normality and homogeneity.Results: The results of the study on anxiety before being given lavender aromatherapy an average of of 22.47 and after being given lavender aromatherapy an average of 18.33 with an average difference of 4.14, in the control group examination I an average of 22.60 and examination II an average 22.27 with an average difference of 0.33 and the effect of lavender aromatherapy on maternal anxiety with a significance level of 0.001.Conclusions: There is an effect of lavender aromatherapy on maternal anxiety at RSU Kota Tangerang Selatan in 2021.Suggestion  It is hoped that lavender aromatherapy can be applied as a whole in Indonesian health services..Keywords: Anxiety, Maternal Lavender Aromatherapy,  ABSTRAK  Latar Belakang: Persalinan akan menyebabkan gangguan psikologi berupa kecemasan yang dapat mengakibatkan penurunan aliran darah yang membawa oksigen ke rahim dan janin sehingga dapat terjadi hal-hal yang merugikan bagi ibu dan janin. Salah satu terapi non-farmakologis untuk menurunkan kecemasan adalah melalui pemberian aromaterapi khususnya aromaterapi lavender dapat memberi rasa tenang, sehingga dapat digunakan sebagai manajemen stres.Tujuan: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh aromaterapi lavender terhadap kecemasan ibu bersalin di RSU Kota Tangerang Selatan Tahun 2021.Metodologi: Penelitian quasi eksperimental ini menggunakan rancangan pretest and posttest with control group design. Sampel dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 30 ibu yang akan melahirkan di RSU Kota Tangerang Selatan dengan masing-masing kelompok 15 responden. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan total sampling. Instrumen penelitian menggunakan kesioner Hamilton Rating Scale for Anxienty (HRS-A). Data dianalisis menggunakan T-test Independent yang sebelumnya dilakukan uji normalitas dan homogenitas.Hasil Penelitian: Hasil penelitian terhadap kecemasan sebelum diberikan aromaterapi lavender rata-rata 22,47 dan sesudah diberikan aromaterapi lavender rata-rata 18,33 dengan selisih rata-rata 4,14, pada kelompok kontrol pemeriksaan I rata-rata 22,60 dan pemeriksaan II rata-rata 22,27 dengan selisih rata-rata 0,33. Terdapat perbedaan rerata skor tingkat kecemasan yang bermakna antara kelompok intervensi dan kelompok kontrol dengan tingkat signifikansi 0,001 < 0,05. Simpulan: Terdapat pengaruh aromaterapi lavender terhadap kecemasan ibu bersalin di RSU Kota Tangerang Selatan Tahun 2021.Saran Diharapkan pemberian aromaterapi lavender dapat diterapkan secara menyeluruh dipelayanan kesehatan Indonesia. Kata Kunci : Aromaterapi Lavender, ibu bersalin, kecemasan

Students' motivation to learn is the main aspect to achieve student success. Based on the results of observation and interview, the learning motivation of students in SMA Negeri 2 Kutacane is still relatively less, so the impact on the low cognitive ability of the students. The purpose of this study is to see the influence of the approach blended learning type station rotation on differences in motivation and cognitive abilities after the study. This research use approach uses quasi-experiments design pretest-posttest control group design. The population of this research is all students of class XI, the sample taken is of class XI IPA 2 as the experimental class and XI IPA 3 as the control class. Using a data collection instrument sheet, questionnaires, and interviews to measure the motivation to learn and use the instrument on a test to measure the cognitive abilities of the students. The results of data analysis using t-test (independent sample t-test) show the differences in motivation and cognitive abilities of students with a significance of 0.000 < 0.05 means there is a significant difference between the motivation and ability of cognitive control and experimental classes. Therefore, it can be concluded that there is an influence of the use of the approach blended learning type station rotation motivation and cognitive abilities of the students.

UTILIZATION OF GRAPHIC MEDIA IN INFORMATION SERVICES THE IMPACT OF DISCIPLINE VIOLATION TO IMPROVE DISCIPLINE BEHAVIOR OF STUDENTS IN SCHOOL. This study aimed to determine the effect of the use of visual media in information services on the impact of disciplinary violations on improving student discipline behavior. This study uses 90 students as subjects (30 students from SMP Negeri 15 Palu, 30 students from SMP Negeri 3 Palu, 30 students from SMP Negeri 10 Palu using Pretest-Posttest Control Group design. Research data collection was conducted using indirect interview techniques as a technique. The research data were analyzed by descriptive and inferential analysis (t-test). The results showed that: 1) the use of Banner media resulted in 40% of students increasing their discipline from low to moderate; 2) the use of X-Banner media resulted in 20% of students increased discipline from moderate to high, and 23.33% of students who increased their discipline from low to moderate; 3) the use of media Leaflets produced 13.33% of students who increased their discipline from being high, and 30% of students who increased their discipline from low to medium; 4) there is an influence on the use of Banner media in information services the impact of disciplinary violations on ked student discipline; 5) there is the influence of the use of X-Banner media in information services on the impact of disciplinary violations on student discipline; and 6) there is an influence of media use Leaflet in information services the impact of disciplinary violations on student discipline.

ABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penerapan model Giving Question Getting Answers  melalui metode eksperimen terhadap motivasi dan hasil belajar fisika peserta didik. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah quasi eksperimen dengan posstest only control group disign. Populasi terdiri dari seluruh peserta didik kelas XI SMAN 1 Labuapi. Teknik pengambilan sample yang digunakan adalah sampling jenuh, dengan kelas XI MIA 1 sebagai kelas eksperimen 1 dan kelas XI MIA 2 sebagai kelas eksperimen 2. Kelas eksperimen 1 diberi perlakuan model Giving Question Getting Answers melalui metode eksperimen sedangkan kelas eksperimen 2 diberi perlakuan menggunakan model pembelajaran Giving Question Gettig Answers tanpa metode eksperimen. Instrumen motivasi belajar menggunakan angket motivasi sedangkan  instrumen hasil belajar menggunakan soal pilihan ganda. Hipotesis penelitian diuji menggunakan uji Manova, hasilnya menunjukkan Nilai Sig. <0,05 maka H0 ditolak dan Ha diterima sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh model Giving Question Getting Answers melalui metode eksperimen terhadap motivasi dan hasil belajar fisika peserta didik. Kata kunci: model GQGA melalui metode eksperimen; motivasi; hasil belajar. ABSTRACTThe aim of this research is to know the impact of the applying Giving Question Getting Answers model with experimental methods toward the learning motivation and result of physics learning. The type of research used was quasi-experimental with posttest only control group design. The population was all student of grade XI in senior high school 1 of  Labuapi. The sampling technique used saturation sampling, while the sample are class XI MIA 1 as the experimental 1 class, and the XI MIA 2 as experimental 2 class. Experimental 1 class was treated with giving question getting answers learning model with experimental methods and experimental 2 class was treated with giving question getting answers learning model without experimental methods. The instrument of motivation learning was used motivation questionnaire and instrument the result of physics learning used multiple choice test. The research hypothesis was tested using Manova-test, data analysis shows that Sig. <0,05which mean that H0 was rejected and Ha accepted. Thus, it can be concluded that there are effect of Giving Question Getting Answers model with experimental methods on student’s motivation and physics learning result. Keywords: GAGQ model with experimental methods; motivation; physics learning result.
