Railway industry owes its ever-growing importance to several factors, chiefly the fact that it is considered a relatively more comfortable and efficient mode of transit in the face of rapid urbanization. This study deals with the ways of improving the manufacturing process of components used in the railway industry.In this regard, IRIS plays a vital role in the process of ensuring the customer satisfaction, product quality, efficient process management and innovation for all components. Hence, the study attempts to investigate into the ways to obtain more optimized results drawing upon the IRIS standards.

The article surveys the literature that emphasizes the importance of comparative and absolute advantages for intra- and inter-industry trade. Two conclusions follow form the survey. First, unlike the traditional view, intra-industry trade is determined rather by technology than by increasing returns. Second, absolute advantages that have been ignored in international trade models for a long time play a vital role through their linkages with product quality and export diversification. We also discuss a new strand of literature that models international trade with the assumption of non-homothetic preferences.

This study aims to determine the effect of Product Quality and Service Quality on Increasing Customer Satisfaction and Loyalty in Makassar Municipal Water Company (PDAM) both directly and through intervening variables or indirect effects. This study uses a quantitative approach conducted with the aim to explain the position of the variables studied and the relationship between one variable with another variable. This research will explain the causal relationship between variables through hypothesis testing. In this study, the analysis method used is path analysis using the SmartPLS program. The results of this study found that directly the product quality had a positive and significant effect on customer satisfaction, service quality had a positive and significant effect on customer satisfaction, product quality had a positive and significant effect on customer loyalty, service quality had a positive and not significant effect on customer loyalty, customer satisfaction positive and significant effect on customer loyalty. The indirect effect of this research is product quality has a positive and significant effect on customer loyalty if mediated by customer satisfaction. Service quality also has a positive and significant effect on customer loyalty if mediated by customer satisfaction.

This research aims to determine the effect of product quality, customer satisfaction, switching barriers, and brand trust on customer retention. The sample in this research was 116 respondents of Wardah Cosmetics customers from Klaten Regency. This research used one of non probability sampling technique which is purposive sampling method. This study is also using multiple linear regression to analyze the collected data. The results in this research are product quality, customer satisfaction, switching barriers, and brand influence customer retention both partially and simultaneously.

The aim of this study was to analize the effects of product quality and service quality on the customer satisfaction. This study took place in the City of Bekasi and objects in this study are all customer who use the Matrass GM-9000. Primary data was obtained from customers of Matrass GM-9000 in Bekasi City through admission filling of questionnaire by using scale of Likert. The respondent of this study was chosen through accidental sampling method, and data analysis method was simple linear regression and multiple linear regression. The results of this study indicated that product quality and service quality positively and significant influenced the customer satisfaction


Face recognition plays a vital role in security purpose. In recent years, the researchers have focused on the pose illumination, face recognition, etc,. The traditional methods of face recognition focus on Open CV’s fisher faces which results in analyzing the face expressions and attributes. Deep learning method used in this proposed system is Convolutional Neural Network (CNN). Proposed work includes the following modules: [1] Face Detection [2] Gender Recognition [3] Age Prediction. Thus the results obtained from this work prove that real time age and gender detection using CNN provides better accuracy results compared to other existing approaches.

To measure and present urban size urban spatial forms, in solving problems in the rapid urbanization of China, urban territorial scope identification is essential. Although current commonly used methods can quantitatively identify urban territorial scopes to a certain extent, the results are displayed using a continuous and closed curve with medium- and low-resolution images. This makes the acquisition and interpretation of data challenging. In this paper, by extracting discretely distributed urban settlements, road intersections in OpenStreetMap (OSM), electronic maps, and urban expansion curve based on fractal thoughts have been used to present urban territorial scope and spatial form. Guangzhou, Chengdu, Nanjing, and Shijiazhuang cities were chosen as the identification targets. The results showed that the distance threshold corresponding to the principal curvature point of the urban expansion curve plays a vital role in the extraction of urban settlements. Moreover, from the analysis, the optimal distance thresholds of urban settlements in Guangzhou, Chengdu, Nanjing, and Shijiazhuang were 132 m, 204 m, 157 m, and 124 m, respectively, and the corresponding areas of urban territorial scopes were 1099.36 km2, 1076.78 km2, 803.07 km2, and 353.62 km2, respectively. These metrics are consistent with those for the built-up areas.

Sandwich structures are ideal for planar parts which require a high bending stiffness ata low weight. Usually, sandwich structures are manufactured using a joining step, connecting theface sheets with the core. The PUR spraying process allows to include the infiltration of the facesheet fibres, the curing of the matrix and the joining of the face sheets to the core within one processstep. Furthermore, this manufacturing process allows for the use of open cell core structures withoutinfiltrating the core, which enables a comparison of different material configurations, assembled bythe same manufacturing process. The selection of these materials, with the aim of the lowest possiblemass of the sandwich composite at a constant bending stiffness, is displayed systematically within thiswork.It could be shown that the bending modulus calculated from the component properties matched theexperimentally achieved values well, with only few exceptions. The optimum of the bending modulus,the face sheet thickness and the resulting effective density could be calculated and also matched theexperimental values well. The mass-specific bending stiffness of the sandwich composites with corestructures of open cell aluminium foams was higher than with closed cell aluminium foams, but wasexceeded by sandwich composites with Nomex honeycomb cores.

Because the solder residue was found in the manufacturing process which greatly affected the product quality, the purpose of this paper was to make the product quality improved and to find an optimal solution for process parameters in the flip chip process. The experimental testing was based on SMT manufacturing process. The amount and size of solder left on passive component in the process of manufacturing were considered as the quality traits. Since too many solders left on the passive component side during flux cleaning process, it was possible that the balling would be flowed into the chip, which caused the bump short in the chip and affected the quality of the product. In this paper, orthogonal array by using Taguchi method is adopted as the effective experimental method with the least experimental runs. Also, based on the quality evaluation of signal-to-noise ratio, the ANOVA is used to evaluate the effects of quality target according to the experimental results. The results reveal that the optimization in the process is confirmed. Therefore, this study can effectively improve the solder residue in semiconductor manufacturing process.

We introduce our idea about a new face mask against Covid-19. Herein our novel face mask is a polymeric matrix of nanofibers. These nanofibers are decorated with special engineered nanocomposite. The later possesses antiviral, antimicrobial. A well-established IR temperature biosensor will be implanted in the face mask and connected to the mobile phone using App (Seek thermal) to allow temperature monitoring. Artificial Intelligence can play a vital role in the fight against COVID-19. AI is being successfully used in the identification of disease clusters, monitoring of cases, prediction of the future outbreaks, mortality risk, diagnosis of COVID-19, disease management by resource allocation, facilitating training, record maintenance and pattern recognition for studying the disease trend. Therefore, AI is used as a type of alarm which be connected through Global Position System (GPS) to a central networking system to monitor the crowded areas of probable infections. In this case, the hospital in this neighborhood will be charged to let a mobile unit of assessment travel quickly to the infected people areas.
