Semarang has developed as a diverse city. The communities who lived in Semarang history has produced a hybrid culture patterned Semarang which in the next time become as "Semarangan culture". At that time of Indonesia's independence there is awareness to preserve the cultural heritage of Semarangan either by local governments and communities of Semarang. The preservation and development cultural heritage of Semarangan continues which among other things aims to establish a cultural identity for the community and theie city. However, such efforts have not been able to achieve the expected results, because the Semarangan culture is less able to perform in a stage of cultural life in their own city and national culture.

In contemporary multicultural societies, museums must assume a new role and have to renew the relationship with the public. They have to become more and more centres for cultural elaboration «of» territories and «inside» territories, engine for the development of a new culture of social inclusion and participation in the cultural life of societies, especially for the public that still have difficulties to access cultural heritage. Strategic realities for the maintenance and the reinterpretation of cultural identity, the museums, also rooted in specific local contexts, are actually trying to exploit innovative strategies to strengthen and re-enact the relationship with communities and territories of which they express values, history and culture. In this context, of particular importance are some innovative experiences of innovative itineraries to visit museum collections and cultural sites, adopting methodologies such as the «storytelling», with the active cooperation of local communities as «interpreter» of cultural heritage.

ABSTRACT This article aims to explain the existence of Tari Piring dance as a culture identity of Minang- kabau people, both the people who live in the origin area and outside the area. Tari Piring dance is a traditional cultural heritage of Minangkabau people which is used and preserved by Minangkabau people in their life so that it becomes culture identity of Minangkabau people. As the identity of Minangkabau people, Piring dance is able to express attitudes and behaviors as well as the charac- teristics of Minangkabau people. The dance can serve as a reflection of social and cultural life style of Minangkabau society. Through Tari Piring performance, the outsider can understand Minangkabau people and their culture. Tari Piring, therefore, is getting more adhere to the social life of Minang- kabau people in West Sumatra and in the regions overseas. In the spirit of togetherness, Minang- kabau society preserves the existence of Piring dance as the identity and cultural heritage up to the present time. Keywords: Piring Dance, Minangkabau culture  ABSTRAK Artikel ini bertujuan untuk menjelaskan keberadaan Tari Piring sebagai identitas bu- daya masyarakat Minangkabau, baik yang berada di daerah asal maupun di daerah peran- tauan. Melalui pertunjukan Tari Piring, masyarakat luar dapat memahami orang Minangkabau dan budayanya. Oleh karena itu, sampai saat ini Tari Piring semakin melekat dengan kehidupan sosial masyarakat Minangkabau di Sumatera Barat maupun di daerah perantauan. AbstractCultural heritage can offer tangible and intangible traces of the past. A past that shapes cultural identity, but also a past from which one sometimes wishes to detach oneself and which nevertheless needs to be remembered, even commemorated. These themes of memory, history and oblivion are examined by the philosopher Paul Ricoeur in his work La mémoire, l’histoire, l’oubli (2000). Inspired by these ideas, this paper analyses how they are closely linked to cultural heritage. Heritage serves as a support for memory, even if it can be mishandled, which in turn can affect heritage policies. Memory and heritage can be abused as a result of wounds from the past or for reasons of ideological manipulation or because of a political will to force people to remember. Furthermore, heritage, as a vehicule of memory, contributes to historical knowledge, but can remain marked by a certain form of subjectivism during the heritage and conservation operation, for which heritage professionals (representatives of the public authority or other experts) are responsible. Yet, the responsibility for conserving cultural heritage also implies the need to avoid any loss of heritage, and to fight against oblivion. Nonetheless, this struggle cannot become totalitarian, nor can it deprive the community of a sometimes salutary oblivion to its own identity construction. These theoretical and philosophical concepts shall be examined in the light of legal discourse, and in particular in Belgian legislation regarding cultural heritage. It is clear that the shift from monument to heritage broadens the legal scope and consequently raises the question of who gets to decide what is considered heritage according to the law, and whether there is something such as a collective human right to cultural heritage. Nonetheless, this broadening of the legislation extends the State intervention into cultural heritage, which in turn entails certain risks, as will be analysed with Belgium’s colonial heritage.

Одной из сфер многогранной деятельности видного государственного и общественного деятеля Осетии Георгия (Гаппо) Васильевича Баева являлось христианское просвещение, которое он видел в развитии осетинского языка и осетинской письменности, в издании богослужебной, научно-просветительной и художественной литературы на осетинском языке, в становлении национальной периодической печати. Отмечены заслуги Баева в этих областях культурной жизни Осетии. Рассмотрена его деятельность в качестве цензора религиозно-просветительского журнала на осетинском языке Чырыстон цард ( Христианская жизнь ), как одного из организаторов Осетинского издательского общества Ир , а также секретаря и председателя Общества распространения образования и технических сведений среди горцев Терской области. Особое внимание уделено переизданию Святого Евангелия на осетинском языке в новой редакции, его участию в выходе в свет поэмы А.Кубалова фхрдты Хсан и сборника стихотворений К.Л.Хетагурова Ирон фндыр , в издании газеты на осетинском языке. Показан его вклад в дело собирания и издания устного народного творчества осетин. Отмечена организационная и практическая помощь Баева выдающемуся русскому ученому В.Ф.Миллеру в период его работы над осетинско-русско-немецким словарем. Акцентировано внимание на активном участии Баева в жизни православной церкви, его помощи в ремонте и строительстве православных храмов и школ. Сделан вывод о том, что его активная деятельность по христианскому просвещению в Осетии оставила глубокий след в истории осетинского православия, способствовала развитию национальной культуры и формированию самосознания осетин. One of the spheres of multifaceted activities of the prominent state and public figure of Ossetia Georgy (Gappo) Vasilyevich Baev was Christian education, which, in his opinion, lay in the development of the Ossetian language and Ossetian writing, in the publication of liturgical, scientific and educational literature in the Ossetian language, in the formation of the national periodical press. Baevs merits in these fields of the cultural life of Ossetia are noted. His activity as a censor of the religious and educational magazine in Ossetian Chyryston tsard (Christian life), Secretary and Chairman of the society for the dissemination of education and technical information among the mountaineers of the Terek region, one of the organizers of the Ossetian publishing society IR is considered. Special attention is paid to the reissue of the Holy gospel in the Ossetian language in a new edition, the publication of A. Kubalovs poem fhrdty Hsan and the collection of poems by K.L. Khetagurov Iron fndyr, the publication of the newspaper in the Ossetian language. His contribution to the collection and publication of oral folk art of Ossetians is shown. Russian scholar V.F. Miller in his work on the Ossetian-Russian-German dictionary received organizational and practical assistance from G.Baev. Attention is focused on the active participation of Baev in the life of the Orthodox Church, assistance in the repairing and construction of Orthodox churches and schools. It is concluded that his active work on Christian education in Ossetia left a deep mark in the history of Ossetian Orthodoxy, contributed to the development of national culture and the formation of self-consciousness of Ossetians.

The object of this research is the role of the comedy “Tieteybit” by N. D. Neustroev in cultural life of the Sakha Republic (Yakutia). The subject is the impact of modern creative industries upon cultural life of the region. On the example of Nikolay Denisovich Neustroev's comedy play “Tieteybit”, the authors examine the use of creative approaches towards preservation and popularization of cultural heritage of the Sakha people. It is noted that over the recent years, a major event in the development of spiritual culture and cultural life of the region overall has become the innovations introduced by the contemporaries in staging the Yakut comedies. Motifs of the comedy “Tieteybit” served as the prototype for staging the the first Yakut musical comedy, and even a film. A survey was conducted touching upon the following questions: are the innovations introduced in culture in form of a screen version of classical literature with the elements of innovation encourage the young generation to studying the Yakut cultural heritage?; what is the relevance of the work by N. D. Neustroev “Tieteybit”? The conclusions is made that in the XXI century, N. D. Neustroev's comedy “Tieteybit” has become one of the basics for the development of creative industry of the region. As an instrument for the development of regional culture, creative industry may play the strongest and highly effective role in the development of social life of the region.

Ra-glai ethnic minorities make up a sizable proportion of the population in Ninh Thuan province in general and Bac Ai district in particular. Ra-glai ethnic minorities have a long-standing culture and have a unique ethnic identity. The tangible and intangible cultural identity of the Ra-glai ethnic minority is both closely associated with religious beliefs and widely popular, has great power to dominate all activities of Ra-glai ethnic minorities. The conservation and promotion of the tangible and intangible cultural heritages of the Ra-glai ethnic group in Bac Ai district, Ninh Thuan province in the process of building a new countryside is now becoming one of the issues authorized by the party committee, local authorities are very interested in implementing.Over the past years, with the investment of the State, the province, the district, the local organizations and individuals, the education to preserve and promote the ethnic cultural identity of the Ra-glai community In Bac Ai district, Ninh Thuan province has achieved some encouraging results. However, in the process of building a new countryside, the culture of the local Ra-glai ethnic minority has been gradually fading.The authors of the paper have deeply studied the current state of conservation education and promotion of the cultural heritage of Ra-glai ethnic minorities in Bac Ai district, Ninh Thuan province, then proposing solutions to building an educational model that conserves and promotes the cultural heritage of Ra-glai ethnic minorities in a sustainable way in the process of building a New Rural in Bac Ai district, Ninh Thuan province in the period of the current.

In the article, the authors are based on the verdict that the main and most important element of world religion is the phenomenon of the prophets. However, at the beginning of the New century as a world. Similarly, in regional terms, the media reports about false prophets and insults to religious prophets, including the great prophet Muhammad, which negatively affects the feelings of believers in the Muslim world. According to the authors of the article, this seriously depresses the international political situation, since the cult of the Holy prophets is recognized as the meaning-forming basis of the Muslim faith. The article proves that the goal of Islam in the formation and development of the socio-cultural life of Muslims is based on the strengthening of spiritual and cultural identity, based on the priority of recognizing the Majesty of the prophet Muhammad, that any skepticism or insults is a threat to the entire system of Islam's ideology. The authors note that the life of the great Muhammad is generally accepted as an example of the righteous organization of the personal and collective life of the Muslim community, which forms the highest qualities of spiritual and moral culture among believers.

Cultural Heritage of Local Communities in Oral History. The Base of Constructing the Social Memory  Local communities construct their own cultural heritage on the base of speaking traditions means as oral history. Each small community protects its own set of symbols and elements of tradition, including belief, dialect and private stories and anecdotes. The oral history performs a function of a part of social memory and sustains close social bonds among members of small communities. The article concerns the oral history’s role in preserving the cultural identity of small local communities.
