The aim of the article is to analyze the extent, to which the participation of students in learning mobility projects on the example of the Erasmus+ programme influences the improvement of their individual skills desired from the perspective of the labour market. The text begins with an introduction that outlines the background to the considerations undertaken. Next, the historical context of learning mobility in Europe and the process of internationalization of universities are presented as one of the consequences of the globalizing labour market. In the following part of the article we characterized the best known European programme promoting academic mobility Erasmus+. The end of the article contains a review of the research on the competences of beneficiaries of learning mobility projects, supported by statistical data, and an attempt to draw a link between participation in student exchange and the chances of finding a satisfactory employment after graduation. The analysis shows that graduates with foreign mobility experience develop a number of characteristics and skills, that increase their employability and career opportunities.

Like other postmodern structures, post-industrial labour markets display more frequent and rapid changes and higher unpredictability. In these conditions, the world of work is less capable in providing individuals stable signals for the construction of their behaviours. This paper aims to examine both macro and micro factors that shape labour market participation and expectations related to employment outcomes. We explore statistical data from the World Values Survey Wave 7 (2017-2020) collected from almost seventy thousands individuals around the world. Focusing on subjective evaluations of expected employment outcomes, our results are relevant for better understanding labour market participation from a postmodern perspective.

The ERASMUS Programme, established in June 1987, is considered one of the most popular European education programmes as it favours the academic mobility of thousands of students. Given the importance of ERASMUS in building a Europe of knowledge, this article aims to analyse the importance of ERASMUS toPortugal since its implementation. The state of the art on the subject is not exhaustive. Although much research on student mobility with a focus on ERASMUS at the European level has been undertaken – albeit difficult to summarise given the diversity of studies – Portuguese literature has not kept pace since existing studies are mainly Masters dissertations of a qualitative nature, supported by interviews with former ERASMUS students and covering the recent years of the Programme. Bearing this in mind, this article, in addition to identifying the main stages that led to the establishment of the Programme and highlighting thecontours of its implementation in Portugal, seeks to analyse the participatory trends of Portuguese students attending the first university cycle (the so-called outgoings) from 1987 to 2014, the year ERASMUS+ started.

In this article, based on the statistical data analysis, we consider the labour market in the contemporary Russia in face of global economic crises. In our opinion, two kinds of programs should be in Russia interest: coordination of unemployment benefits with vocational training, retraining or additional education; using the compelled holidays for additional education and retraining. The target programs directed on strengthening employees’ positions with a high educational level on the labour market are extremely necessary in the Russian conditions. In order to decide on specific problems special departments should be created in the Ministry of Work and Social Development of the Russian Federation.

The article addresses selected issues related to the migrant employment in Poland. It offers insight into the most important trends in the situation of migrant workers in the Polish labor market and discusses how observable changes will influence human resources management. The article begins with an overview of general situation of migrants in the labor market in Poland, which is based on the analysis of available statistical data. The second chapter presents and discusses briefly the potential challenges for human resources management in Polish enterprises.

Zusammenfassung Dieser Beitrag beschreibt die Entwicklung geschlechtsspezifischer Ungleichheiten über die letzten drei Jahrzehnte in Ost- und Westdeutschland. Unterschiede zwischen beiden Regionen bestehen nach wie vor. Sie haben ihren Ursprung in den verschiedenen gesellschaftlichen Ansätzen der Gleichstellung der Geschlechter vor der Wiedervereinigung und den unterschiedlichen strukturellen Gegebenheiten am Arbeitsmarkt. Dennoch besitzen nach wie vor weder die Frauen in Westdeutschland noch in Ostdeutschland die gleichen Einkommens- und Karrierechancen wie Männer. Die Bemühungen des Staates, den Abbau geschlechtsspezifischer Ungleichheiten voranzutreiben, werden anhand der zahlreichen Maßnahmen der letzten Jahre sichtbar. Sie reichen aber noch nicht aus, wie die Zahlen im Beitrag zeigen. Abstract: Gender-specific Differences on the Labour Market in East and West Germany This article describes the development of gender inequalities over the last three decades in East and West Germany. There are still differences between the two regions. They have their origin in the different social concepts to gender equality before reunification and the different structural conditions on the labour market. Nevertheless, not only women in West Germany but also in East Germany still do not have the same income and career opportunities as men. The state’s efforts to promote the reduction of gender-specific inequalities are evident from the numerous measures taken in recent years. However, they are not yet sufficient.

In the late 1960's the imbalance between the supply and demand for teacher services was fundamental to the problems of Australian education. This article outlines an analytical framework which helps in understanding some important features of that imbalance. The paper comes to three main conclusions: that high levels of teacher resignation were probably a rational response to the conditions governing their recruitment and the level and career structure of their earnings; that if resignation rates for teachers are to be reduced in a full employment labour market, changes are required in their salary structure and career prospects; and that the statistical data available on a consistent national basis are seriously inadequate for satisfactory economic analysis.

In our work, we deal with the question of what impact the Erasmus programme has on linguistic and personal competences and how it helps the economy forward. We look around this topic in the literature review. We managed to get almost 100 surveys filled out among the participants however, the representatives of the companies proved to be quite passive, with only nearly 30 of them replying. In the form of a survey, we found that it has a positive effect on improving language skills and helping with independence or problem-solving ability. In the quantitative survey we found that companies often prefer other factors than the people in a mobility programme, and they do not show favour toward a mobility student in a job interview, although the skills acquired during the programme help the individual. Therefore though indirectly, but the programme has a positive impact on the economy as well.

Young people, school leavers, graduates and those who have not completed education, belong in many countries of European Union among the disadvantaged in the labour market. Because of that, they often face serious social situation. This paper focuses on the situation of young people in the labour market in the European Union, for whom the term lost generation is used in the media. It is investigated whether the concept of a Lost Generation is an adequate name for the situation or it is just journalistic hyperbole. The paper is a systematic review. It includes a meta-analysis component which involves using statistics. The methods of analysis of statistical data, synthesis of researched findings and monitoring of press and media are used.
