THE EFFECTIVENESS OF STRUCTURED NUMBER HEAD LEARNING MODELS ON CLASS V IPS LEARNING OUTCOMES

Based to the result, the observation and interview the low quality of education in Indonesia was caused by students' learning outcomes in some subjects were classified as low. This was supported by the data on social studies learning outcomes in the 5th grade students of elementary school of Kartini Cluster, Banjarnegara Regency, that were quite low. One of the reason was the teachers had not applied the appropriate learning model in accordance with educational regulations. The teachers used a teacher-centered learning model. The purpose of this study was to test the effectiveness of the Structured Numbered Heads model to result of social studies learning outcomes of 5th grade students of elementary school of Kartini Cluster, Banjarnegara Regency. This research used quantitative method with experiment design and nonequivalent control group design. The sample technique was cluster random sampling of 97 participantes. Data collection used test, observation and documentation. Hypotesis test result showed that tcount˃ttabel(5,8883>2,0003) which mean structured numbered heads model is was more effective to result of social studies learning outcomes of 5th grade students. The experiment class n-gain test result 0,4611 belong to medium criteria while control class n-gaint test result 0.481 belong to low criteria. The conclusion of this research is structured numbered heads was effective to be used in social studies learning material of 5th grade students of elementary school of of Kartini Cluster, Banjarnegara Regency.

The objectives of this research were: 1) to describe the learning outcomes of 4th grade students in elementary school of the Ikan Mas Cluster, North Semarang; 2) to describe the activities of 4th grade students in elementary school of the Ikan Mas Cluster, North Semarang; 3) to analyze the effectiveness of take and give model assisted flashcard on social studies learning outcomes. Based on interview, documentation, and observation,it was found that social studies learning outcomes were not optimal because the lack of learning model variation and facilities. Direct Instruction model made students believe that the teacher will explain all the material that they have to know. The population of this study amounted to 163 students. The samples used Kuningan 02 elementary school as control class with 39 students and Kuningan 03 elementary school as experimental class with 25 studens in 2019/2020 school year. The result showed experimental group had better result compared to control group in grades and activeness score respectively. The experimental group had higher grades (76,10) than the control group (61,30). The activeness score of the experimental group was higher (75%) than the control group (59%). Both, grades and student's activeness of experimental group were higher than control group.Hypothesis test results showed that tcount> ttable (3.0462> 1.9990), which meant Take and Give model assisted by flashcard media was more effective on the social studies learning outcomes of 4th grade students. The conclusion of this research was that Take and Give learning model assisted by flashcard media was effectively used in social studies learning material of Hindu, Buddha, and Islam Kingdoms in Indonesia than Direct Instrucruon model and could improve learning outcomes and activities of4th grade students of the Ikan Mas Cluster, North Semarang.

Based on the result of preresearch in the form of observation, interviews, and data on learning outcomes conducted in the fourth grade students at Nyi Ageng Serang Cluster Elementary school in Semarang, it was known that the social studies learning outcomes were not optimal because the learning model and media used were also not optimal. Although the teacher had used problem-based learning model, the students still had difficulties to identify problems and the media in the form of A4 print out pictures were not enough to help them. This study aimed to test the effectiveness of problem-based learning model assisted by blog media on the social studies learning outcomes in fourth grade students at Nyi Ageng Serang Cluster Elementary School in Semarang. This research used quantitative approach with the experimental type and nonequivalent control group design. The sample technique used cluster random sampling, with population of 172 students. The data collection used tests, observations and documentation. The hypothesis test result showed that the value of tcount = 4.007, and ttable = 2.009, because tcount ˃ ttable (4.007 ˃ 2.009) which means that the problem based learning model assisted by blog media was effective to increase the social studies learning outcomes of the fourth grade students. The n-gain test result of the experimental group was 0.40 categorized in medium criteria, whereas the n-gain test result of control group was 0.15, categorized in low criteria. The observation of students' activities using observation sheets showed the average score of the activity of experimental class students was 82%, which is better than the control class that only got 64%. The conclusion of this research is that the problem-based learning model assisted by blog media was effectively used in social studies learning in fourth grade students at Nyi Ageng Serang Cluster Elementary School in Semarang.

The implementation of this research is based on the problems found at the time of observation, namely the difficulty of students learning, especially in science learning that has an impact on student learning outcomes and learning that is still teacher-centered that causes students to be passive. Based on these problems, this study aims to improve the learning outcomes of science students in grade V elementary school. This type of research is a quasi-experimental design with Nonequivalent Control Group Design. The research design used is the post-test only control group design. The population in this study amounted to 147 students consisting of four classes. The determination of the sample is done by random sampling in the form of a draw. The number of samples was 72 students, namely the experimental class totaling 36 students and the control class totaling 36 students. The students' natural science post-test data collection is done by using multiple-choice objective test methods. Then, the t-test formula was analyzed. From the results of the analysis, it was shown that t-count = 3,920 was obtained and compared with t-table at the 5% significance level and dk = 36 + 36-2 = 70 so that the price of t-table = 1.99444 was obtained. Based on these results, there are significant differences in science learning outcomes between the classes given the treatment of the TSTS learning model aided by the mind mapping method and the classes given the treatment of conventional learning models. The results of the calculations obtained the experimental class has a higher mean than the control class, which is 79.06>68.75. Based on this, the TSTS learning model is assisted by an effective mind mapping method to the science learning outcomes of fifth-grade students of elementary school.

ABSTRACTThis study aimed at figuring out the influence of implementing Jeopardy game in learning remedial towards students’ activities and learning outcomes in Social Science Subject for 5th grade of Elementary School. The subject of this research was the students of 5th grade in Elementary School Mamajang II, second semester and academic year of 2015-2016, who took remedy. This study belonged to experimental research. The research design used was quasi-experimental design which one of its type, nonequivalent control group design, was applied. In case of giving treatment, the experimental class implemented Jeopardy game; on contrary, the lecturing method was used in control class. The data of students’ learning activities was obtained through observation before treatment section in both experimental and control class. Meanwhile, the learning outcomes were gained through pre-test and post-test in those two classes. The result of research showed that the students’ activities score before treatment was 57,11 in average for experimental class and 59,38 for control class. Moreover, the averages of students’ activities score when treatment section were 83,33 for experimental class and 71,46 for control class. Therefore, there were the differences score of students’ activities between experimental and control class as 11,87. It can be concluded that there was significantincreaseof student activities as 26,22 to the experimental class. On the other hand, the increases of students’ activities were only 12,08 in control class. In terms of students’ learning outcomes, it was obtained pre-test score in control class; 45,00 in average and the average post-test score was 70,63. Contrastively, the learning outcomes for experimental class in pre-test were 46,25 in average and the post-test score in average was 86,56. According to the data, there was significant increase of learning outcomes as 40,31 to the experimental class and 25,63 to the control class. The research result was analyzed by using Independent Samples T Test with SPSS for Windows version 21 as program assistance that showed the significant increase of implementing game Jeopardy towards students’ learning activities and outcomes to the experimental class. According to the research result, it can be concluded that the hypothesis is proved if the implementation of Jeopardy game in remedial learning affects the students’ activities and learning outcomes in Social Science Subject for 5th grade of Elementary School. Keywords: Remedial learning, Jeopardy game, activities, learning outcomes. ABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penerapan game Jeopardy dalam pembelajaran remedial terhadap aktivitas dan hasil belajar mata pelajaran Ilmu Pengetahuan Sosial siswa kelas V SD. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas V di SD Negeri Mamajang II semester II tahun pelajaran 2015-2016 yang mengikuti pembelajaran remedial. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen. Desain penelitian yang digunakan adalah Quasi Experimental Designs dengan menggunakan Nonequivalent Control Group Design. Pada saat perlakuan, kelas eksperimen menerapkan game Jeopardy, sedangkan kelas kontrol menggunakan pembelajaran konvensional (ceramah). Data aktivitas diperoleh melalui pengamatan sebelum perlakuan dan saat perlakuan pada kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol. Sedangkan, hasil belajar diperoleh melalui pretest dan posttest pada kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata aktivitas siswa sebelum perlakuan pada kelas eksperimen sebesar 57,11 dan kelas kontrol sebesar 59,38. Sedangkan, rata-rata aktivitas siswa saat perlakuan pada kelas eksperimen sebesar 83,33 dan kelas kontrol sebesar 71,46. Sehingga, selisih antara kelas eksperimen dengan kelas kontrol sebesar 11,87. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa terjadi peningkatan aktivitas belajar yang signifikan 26,22 pada kelas eksperimen. Sedangkan, pada kelas kontrol hanya sebesar 12,08. Untuk hasil belajar siswa diperoleh nilai pretest pada kelompok kontrol, yakni rata-rata nilai sebesar 45,00 dan pada posttest rata-rata nilai sebesar 70,63. Sedangkan hasil belajar kelas eksperimen pada saat pretest dengan rata-rata nilai sebesar 46,25 dan pada posttest rata-rata nilai sebesar 86,56. Berdasarkan data tersebut, terjadi peningkatan hasil belajar yang signifikan 40,31 pada kelas eksperimen. Sedangkan, pada kelas kontrol hanya sebesar 25,63. Hasil penelitian dianalisis dengan menggunakan uji Independent Samples T Test berbantuan program SPSS for Windows versi 21 yang menunjukkan bahwa ada pengaruh yang signifikan penerapan game Jeopardy terhadap aktivitas dan hasil belajar siswa pada kelas eksperimen.Berdasarkan hasil penelitian tersebut, maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa hipotesis terbukti bahwa penerapan game Jeopardy dalam pembelajaran remedial berpengaruh terhadap aktivitas dan hasil belajar IPS siswa kelas V SD.  Kata Kunci: Pembelajaran remedial, game Jeopardy, aktivitas, hasil belajar.

This research aims to apply the PQ4R strategy with social studies flip book media to 5th grade students of SDN Geluran 1 in online learning. This is done in order to improve student learning outcomes during online learning that is less interactive due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Data were obtained from class 5 SDN Geluran 1, Taman District, Sidoarjo Regency. This research method uses pretest-posttest control group design. The results of this study are as follows: (1) Learning activities with the application of PQ4R strategy through flip book media, there are two activities, namely teacher activities, the results of which are 86.25% can be categorized as very good and for student activities, 84% are obtained in the very good category. (2) Student responses to the implementation of the PQ4R strategy through flip book media on social studies learning outcomes in class V, there is a percentage of 73% which can be categorized as good. (3) The application of the PQ4R strategy through flip book media on social studies learning outcomes in grade 5 in a similar sample, namely the experimental group there is thitung > ttabel or 33,609 > 1,708. While the learning outcomes with different types of data, namely the experimental group and the control group obtained thitung of 2,262 and ttabel of 2,000, then thitung > ttabel. In other words, Ha is accepted and Ho is rejected. Thus, it can be concluded that the application of PQ4R using flip book media has a very good effect on learning outcomes for social studies subjects for grade 5 students at SDN Geluran 1, Taman Subdistrict, Sidoarjo Regency. Abstrak Berdasarkan hasil observasi wawancara dan data hasil belajar didapat bahwa hasil belajar IPS belum optimal dikarenakan dalam proses pembelajaran kurang keterlibatan secara aktif dari para siswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji keefektifan model pembelajaran Discovery Learning berbantuan media audiovisual terhadap hasil belajar muatan pelajaran IPS kelas IV SDN Gugus Sultan Agung Pecangaan Jepara. Jenis penelitian ini adalah quasi experimental dengan desain non equivalent control group design. Teknik pengambilan sampel adalah cluster random sampling, dengan sampel sebanyak 112 siswa. Pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik tes, observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Hasil uji hipotesis menunjukkan bahwa nilai thitung (2,592) > ttabel (2,002) yang berarti model Discovery Learning berbantuan media audiovisual efektif terhadap hasil belajar IPS siswa kelas IV. Hasil uji N-gain kelas eksperimen lebih tinggi dari kelas kontrol (0,477 > 0,286) kriteria sedang.  Simpulan penelitian ini adalah model pembelajaran Discovery Learning berbantuan media audiovisual efektif terhadap hasil belajar mupel IPS siswa kelas IV SDN Gugus Sultan Agung Pecangaan Jepara. Based on interview observations and learning outcomes data, it is found that social studies learning outcomes are not optimal because  there is less active involvement of students in the learning process. This study aims to test the effectiveness of the Discovery Learning model assisted by audiovisual media on learning outcomes of social studies content of the fourth grade social studies at SDN Cluster Sultan Agung Pecangaan Jepara. This type of research is a quasi experimental design with non equivalent control group design. The sampling technique is cluster random sampling, with a sample of 112 students. Data collection uses test, observation, interview, and documentation techniques. Hypothesis test results indicate that the value of tcount (2.592) > ttable (2.002), which means that the Discovery Learning model assisted by audiovisual media is effective against social studies learning outcomes of fourth grade students. The N-gain test results of the experimental class are higher than the control class (0.477 > 0.286) moderate criteria. The conclusion of this research is the Discovery Learning model assisted by audiovisual media which is effective on the learning outcomes of Social Studies students 4th grade SDN Cluster Sultan Agung Pecangaan Jepara.

The problem in this research is "Differences of Cooperative Learning Outcomes Type Example Non Example Media Assisted Images Against 5th Grade Students of State Elementary School Bener 02 In Science Subject Semester II, with sub research problem that is, student learning outcomes control group on science subjects in Process materials Soil Formation due to weathering in 5th grade State Elementary School Bener 01, student learning outcomes experimental group on science subjects in the process of Soil Formation process due to weathering in 5th grade State Elementary School Bener 02 and Differences of control group learning outcomes with experimental group applying the model of learning Example Non Example media-aided images on science subjects in materials The process of Soil Formation due to weathering in 5th grade State Elementary School Bener. Variables in this study consisted of independent variables and dependent variables, this study using experimental methods, with the form of research is a quasi-experimental research. The experimental design used in this research is Pretest Posttest Control Group Design. Population in this research that is all student of class 5 which amounted to 63 student. This sampling technique using saturated sample technique. Data collection techniques used in this research are test, observation and documentation. Based on the analysis of data obtained: the average of control group learning outcomes amounted to 69,336, student learning outcomes in the experimental group amounted to 84.454, based on the calculation using t test in obtaining the value of significance / probability 0.000 <0.05 then H_0 rejected then Ha accepted. This means that there are differences in the results of science learning significance in grade 5 students of State Elementary School Bener 02 in learning using the model of learning Example Non Example.

This study examines the trial of treffinger learning models on mathematics subjects in elementary school students of SD 37 Model Parepare. The aim of this study was to find out whether there is an influence of Treffinger learning model on mathematics learning outcomes of students of SD Negeri 37 Model Parepare. This study uses a quantitative approach to the type of experimental research and uses the Quasy Experimental design in the form of The Nonequivalent Pre-test Post-test Control Group Design. The sampling technique used in this study was purposive sampling with a sample of 67 students. Data collection techniques used in this study were observation, tests in the form of multiple choices, and documentation. Data analysis uses descriptive statistical techniques and inferential statistics. The results of hypothesis testing using the Paired Sample T-Test test obtained significance of 0.00 (0.00 <0.05) and the results of the analysis of the t test obtained values - tcount <- t table (-17.999 <-2.037) indicate that H0 is rejected which means there are differences in the average mathematics learning outcomes of elementary school students 37 Model Parepare between before and after the use of the Treffinger learning model. Based on these results, it can be concluded that the Treffinger learning model influences the mathematics learning outcomes of students of SD Negeri 37 Model Parepare.

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of learning science using Compelette Sentence learning model in terms of comparison the average result of learning and mastery learning material science of energy and its use. The research was conducted in SDN Ngelowetan on 17 to 21 April 2017. The method used in this research is to study the design of pretest-posttest control group design with a saturated sample. The instrument will involve a total of 20 multiple-choice test items. Method of collection using method of documentation and test method. Technique of data analysis done with mastery learn and t test. Results showed that the experimental and control groups on average there are differences in learning outcomes between students who get Complette Sentence learning model and students do not get the learning with the learning model Complette Sentence. Learning outcomes in the experimental group reached an average of 81.50 with the percentage of 86.67% mastery learning. While the average of learning outcomes in the control group was 75.18 with the percentage of mastery learning as much as 60.71%.

Based on the result of observation, interview, and data on learning outcomes conducted in 4th grade students at Elementary School of Cakra Cluster Semarang City, it was found that the social studies learning outcomes were not optimal because the learning model used by teacher was not appropriate . The purpose of this study was to test the effectiveness of Think Pair Share type of cooperative learning model based on cultural heritage on social studies learning outcomes of social, economic, cultural, ethnic, and religious diversity in the local provinces as the identity of Indonesia; and its relation to the characteristics of space. This was experimental research used a quasi experimental research design in the form of nonequivalent control group design. The data collection techniques used tests, observation, and documentation. The hypothesis test result showed that the t-test was 5.455, while the t-table value was 1.994. So that the tcount was greater than ttable (5.455> 1.994) which means that think pair share model based on cultural heritage was more effective on social studies learning outcomes. The experimental class n-gain test result was higher than the control class. The value of n-gain control class was of 0.3231 which was included in the low category and n-gain of the experimental class was 0.542 included in the medium category. The conclusion of this research was that think pair share model based on cultural heritage was effective to be used in social studies learning and could improve the learning outcomes of 4th grade students at Elementary School of Cakra Cluster Semarang City. So that the tcount was greater than ttable (5.455> 1.994) which means that think pair share model based on cultural heritage was more effective on social studies learning outcomes. The experimental class n-gain test result was higher than the control class. The value of n-gain control class was of 0.3231 which was included in the low category and n-gain of the experimental class was 0.542 included in the medium category.
