The development of digital technologies creates the conditions for a new stage in the development and dissemination of audio culture. Radio plays have been replaced by audiobooks, audio podcasts, and audio series. The book market is experiencing an "audio explosion". There is a steady growth of interest in audiobooks, which compete with musical content. The authors of the article turn to the study of the current state of the culture of the "audible word". This article examines the audiobook reading of student readers, who were socialized under the conditions of the large-scale spread of digital technologies. The aim of the research: to consider audioreading in the context of leisure and educational practices of young people. The study is based on theoretical approaches that consider the phenomenon of audio consumption in modern media (V.Y. Bal', M.Y. Gudova, J.P. Melentieva, V. Erlmann, W. Hagen, A. Kassabian, J.F. Lehmann). The study examined students' perceptions of audiobook reading, its place in leisure and educational practices. The authors conducted a sociological study (December 2020) with the participation of 85 students in order to identify the perceptions of audiobook reading. Qualitative methodology of analysis of answers to open-ended questions was used for the study. The design questionnaire included questions on preferred types of reading, use of audiobook reading in educational and leisure practices, reasons for interest in audiobook reading and possibilities of audiobook reading as a type of educational content. The study identified students' preferences in the choice of book format (paper, electronic, audiobooks), students' ideas about the reasons for wide distribution of audiobooks, advantages and limitations of audiobooks, convenient contexts for daily life, practices of using audiobooks in educational and leisure activities. The authors consider the potential of audiobooks in the organization of educational and leisure activities of students.

The article is devoted to the deliberation of the processes of digitalization of the activities of the authorities in modern conditions. The purpose of this article is to open a discussion on the problems of introducing new information and telecommunication technologies and improving the efficiency of the public administration system. Based on the analysis of the experience of implementing digital technologies and platform solutions in the field of public administration, a substantial characteristic of the problems of digitalization of public administration has been given. The key issues that require attention when carrying out digitalization of public administration on the basis of SWOT-analysis in terms of identifying weak, problematic aspects of the activities of the authorities and threats arising from the modern state of the Russian society, have been defined. Highlighting the weaknesses of modern public administration, the authors drew attention to such aspects of this problem as: 1) realization of “digitalization for the purpose of digitalization”; 2) deficiency of the required legal regulatory framework; 3) inefficiency of electronic document workflow, including problems caused by imperfections of the interface of reporting interactive forms, frequent change of the composition of indicators in reporting forms, desire of higher authorities to solve the problem of input of volume primary data at the expense of lower hierarchical levels; 4) absence of data analysis infrastructure, including due to imperfections of organization of interaction between agencies and incompatibility of information resources; 5) lack of data analysts and deficiency of necessary digital competences among state and municipal employees. Considering the threats and risks to the public administration system, the authors highlighted such aspects generated by the state of Russian society as: 1) creating a system of digital bureaucracy, 2) maintaining information and digital inequality, 3) insufficient knowledge and skills of citizens in the field of digital technologies, 4) reducing the publicity of the system of state and municipal administration. In the conclusion of the article it has been emphasized that the given facts are not unambiguously negatively interpreted, but it would be inexcusable to ignore even a small amount of them. It has been proposed to conduct a large-scale study that combines self-analysis of the processes of digitalization by authorities, a sociological study based on expert and mass surveys, an Internet survey.

The aim of this paper is to identify core topics, theoretical approaches and methodological techniques applied in the sociological study of the internet in Serbia. Moreover, the paper assesses obstacles and potentials for the establishment of a specialized sociological discipline - digital sociology - in Serbia. Method of content analysis is applied to the selection of scientific papers published in the two most important sociological journals in Serbia: Sociology and Sociological Review, in the period 1994-2018. Research findings show that topics typical for digital sociology do not receive enough attention among Serbian scholars, but that there are some indications of growing interest in the field. While there is still some lagging behind the developments of digital sociology in the world, the research findings suggest that the major trends have been followed. Empirical findings on the social impacts of digital technologies in Serbia present a valuable contribution to the international research efforts in this area of study.

The article is devoted to the study of the process of introducing digital technologies into the work of the People’s Courts of China and the issues of its legal regulation. The judicial system of the modern Chinese state is based on courts of three levels and two courts. Judicial bodies include the Supreme People’s Court, local people's courts, military courts and other special courts. For several years, various digital technologies have been used in all Chinese courts. In addition, since August 2017, special Internet courts have appeared in the PRC (three such courts have now been created in Hangzhou, Beijing and Guangzhou), which consider civil, administrative and criminal cases online without the personal presence of participants. The use of digital technologies in the judicial system of the PRC contributes to its transparency, reducing corruption, combating the spread of coronavirus, increasing the general level of legal literacy of the people. So, the creation of a unified platform for online broadcasting of court hearings online, the public disclosure of court sentences (decisions, rulings) in various categories of cases allows society to control the activities of the people's courts of the country. Considering the case online during the confrontation of the coronavirus epidemic prevents the spread of infection among participants in the process. The experience of China in the large-scale implementation of digital technologies in judicial activity is not only of scientific interest, but also important from a practical point of view for the Russian expert community. The Russian Federation has also embarked on the path of using digital technologies in litigation, but China is following it ahead of the schedule, which is important in terms of studying the results it has achieved and the mistakes made so that the Russian legislator can take them into account in their law-making activities. It is also important that China, in the process of digitalizing its national system, uses exclusively national platforms and databases. Access to information by foreign intelligence services is not possible. The main providers of digital services for the judicial system are also national corporations, which legally have the status of private companies, but in fact they are completely controlled by the СРС.

Smartphone-based travel surveys have attracted much attention recently, for their potential to improve data quality and response rate. One of the first such survey systems, Future Mobility Sensing (FMS), leverages sensors on smartphones, and machine learning techniques to collect detailed personal travel data. The main purpose of this research is to compare data collected by FMS and traditional methods, and study the implications of using FMS data for travel behavior modeling. Since its initial field test in Singapore, FMS has been used in several large-scale household travel surveys, including one in Tel Aviv, Israel. We present comparative analyses that make use of the rich datasets from Singapore and Tel Aviv, focusing on three main aspects: (1) richness in activity behaviors observed, (2) completeness of travel and activity data, and (3) data accuracy. Results show that FMS has clear advantages over traditional travel surveys: it has higher resolution and better accuracy of times, locations, and paths; FMS represents out-of-work and leisure activities well; and reveals large variability in day-to-day activity pattern, which is inadequately captured in a one-day snapshot in typical traditional surveys. FMS also captures travel and activities that tend to be under-reported in traditional surveys such as multiple stops in a tour and work-based sub-tours. These richer and more complete and accurate data can improve future activity-based modeling.

Laboratory tests with aqueous solutions of Euphorbia splendens var. hislopii latex have demonstrated seasonal stability of the molluscicidal principle, with LD90 values of 1.14 ppm (spring), 1.02 ppm (fall), 1.09 ppm (winter), and 1.07 ppm (summer) that have been determined against Biomphalaria tenagophila in the field. Assays on latex collected in Belo Horizonte and Recife yielded LD90 values similar to those obtained with the reference substance collected in Rio de Janeiro (Ilha do Governador), demonstrating geographic stability of the molluscicidal effect. The molluscicidal action of aqueous dilutions of the latex in natura, centrifuged (precipitate) and lyophilized, was stable for up to 124 days at room temperature (in natura) and for up to 736 days in a common refrigerator at 10 to 12ºC (lyophilized product). A 5.0 ppm solution is 100% lethal for snails up to 13 days after preparation, the effect being gradually lost to almost total inactivity by the 30th day. This observation indicated that the active principle is instable. These properties together with the wide distribution of the plant, its resistance and adaptation to the tropical climate, its easy cultivation and the easy obtention of latex and preparation of the molluscicidal solution, make this a promising material for large-scale use in the control of schistosomiasis

The paper discusses electronic leadership (e-leadership) competencies that would ensure organizational competitiveness in the digital transformation of an organisation or a unit of an organisation. Like any other large-scale transformation of a business that has high failure rates, digital transformation can fail and it is failing in organisations in Africa; making them bankrupt requiring business rescue or taking them completely out of business. Digital transformation is considered as the process of using digital technologies (integrating cyber-physical systems (CPS) i.e., (intelligent network systems) and business processes) to create and improve production, sustain customer experiences; thus, the use of digital technologies to integrate business process, office automation, industrial process and factory automation to transform business. It is therefore argued that most African organizations are currently faced with the critical challenge of determining the pre- convergence and convergence of technologies, their alignment with strategy and their integration with business processes and systems to build digital business infrastructure for competitiveness. The concept of enactment of technology-in-practice derived from Adaptive Structuration Theory was used as a lens through which to understand and interpret the implications of the digital transformation on leadership competencies to derive e-leadership profile to lead African businesses in the digital age. As such the objective of this paper is to determine the competencies of e-leadership to lead digital transformation agenda of an organization in a highly and digitally competitive marketplace. It is a qualitative study, using an interpretative paradigm in a case study methodology where semi- structured interviews were used to collect data from each unit of analysis representing specific South African based businesses. The selected Cases in South African were extensively investigated. The enactment of e-leadership derived from AST is proposed to lead digital transformation. The implication is that the deployment of e-leadership in an organization has a potential to yield benefits such as the creation of higher organisational flexibility, empowerment of staff and strategic/competitive advantages for the organization. This paper proposes that having effective e-leaders in an organisation would lead to adequate appropriation of digital technologies to digitally transform an organisation.

The modern transformation of agricultural production, due to the transition to digital technologies and large-scale modernization of the material and technical base, entails the need to develop a scientifically based methodology for planning the needs of agricultural production in the labor force and its adaptation to new challenges. The article is devoted to the development of a methodology for planning the personnel potential of the agricultural sector of the economy in the context of digital technologies. An algorithm for planning the personnel needs of the industry for the medium-term perspective has been developed. The key indicators of the planned work to determine the need for personnel support according to the methodology should be the control figures for admission to educational institutions and the creation of conditions for ensuring the employment of graduates. In order to justify the forecast of the annual additional demand for personnel in the agricultural sector of the economy, a calculation and analytical tool is proposed with the use of strategic foresight technologies, which allows, in the conditions of the formation of an innovative agricultural economy, to form a new paradigm for predicting the personnel need for agricultural production, demonstrating the transition from a scenario (variable) approach to the «triple helix» approach. The «Triple Helix» approach will not only predict the qualitative dynamics of the human resource potential of agriculture, taking into account changes in working conditions, trends in large-scale modernization of production assets, the use of modern technologies, achieving maximum compliance between the resource potential of the industry and its annual human resource needs, but will also contribute to the creation of a system of objective state regulation of general professional and additional agricultural education at the regional level. The practical significance of the study lies in the development of an organizational and economic mechanism for state regulation of the issue of labor security on the basis of project management methods in agriculture, which allows to balance the situation in the agricultural labor market.

The article examines the process of regulating employment through the introduction of digital technologies in the organizational and legal sphere. The authors considered the features of the manifestation of organizational and legal aspects of employment regulation during the transition to a post-industrial society. The attention is focused on the most problematic areas of employment regulation. The research is based on the position of continuity of socio-economic development and continuity of its stages. The study made it possible to identify quantitative, structural, and qualitative transformations in the field of employment in the Russian Federation, related to information and digital technologies. These changes require the solution of a set of tasks to improve the system of organizational and legal regulation of employment: limiting the negative impact of digital technologies in the process of regulating employment; regulation of organizational and legal regulation of all types of “agency labor” and its adjustment, considering the spread of its non-standard forms in terms of expanding the scope of digital technologies; ensuring cooperation between all parties of social and labor relations on issues related to the use of non-standard forms of employment in the context of the introduction of digital technologies; reduction of “digital illiteracy” among jobseekers; positioning of electronic self-employment as a promising form of employment regulation. Based on the results of the study, the authors determined the vector for solving these problems, considering the large-scale use of digital technologies.
