“Green design” has become a focal point and has caused widespread concerns around the world. In such a large environment, many designers’ sense of social responsibility is stimulated. When designing, they try to avoid the negative impact of the design on the environment, thereby reducing the environment. The key part of this article on the visual image design is the analysis and research of the visual elements of the cigarette label, combined with some examples of the visual image design of the modern cigarette label in some countries, firstly, it mainly analyzes the themes and cultural connotations involved in the modern cigarette label of the country. The analysis and research with pictures and texts are carried out from six aspects respectively. In the next part, this article discusses the graphic characteristics of cigarette labels from the three aspects of subject matter, expression method, and form of expression, and then discusses the color matching characteristics of cigarette labels from four aspects: three primary colors, composite colors and complementary colors, and black and white. Research and analysis of calligraphy fonts, artistic characters, Latin letters, and decorative fonts are given to explore their functions and roles in the visual image design of cigarette labels. Finally, through the analysis of typographic characteristics and Western progressive culture and design thoughts on cigarette label layout design influence, we discuss the characteristics and style of the cigarette label in the layout design. The results show that the indices of the regression analysis of the three independent variables and the corresponding significance, the significance values of aesthetics and ease of use are all less than 0.05, and the regression coefficients are all statistically significant, and have significant effects on the dependent variables, and the correlation index is positive, indicating that the two independent variables have a significant positive correlation with satisfaction; the useful significance value is greater than 0.05, the regression coefficient is not statistically significant, and has no significant effect on the dependent variable.

The purpose of this research are to analyze which factors can influence Indonesia’s consumer intention to buy local food by online and whether the intention can affect to purchasing decision or not. This research used Partial Least Square (PLS) as data analysis with significance level 5%. There are several requirements to fulfil the criteria of data anlaysis, they are convergent validity, discriminant validity, and composite reliability. The result is all of three requirement is achieved. Bootstrapping analysis was used to examine the significance and verify the hypotheses. There were five independent variables and two dependent variables. The independent variables were perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use, perceived trust, perceived risk, and perceived price. The dependent variables were intention to buy and purchasing decision. There are two variables which are significance towards intention to buy, they are perceived risk and perceived price. Perceived risk is significance and consistent with the theory which has negative effect towards intention to buy, while perceived price is significance and has positive effect towards intention to buy. Perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use, and perceived trust are not significant toward intention to buy. Variables intention to buy is intervention variable which affect significantly towards purchasing decision. R-square score for intention to buy is 30.5% while r-square score for purchasing decision is 25.9%.

The purpose of this study is to find out the determinants of Islamic banks of Pakistan. The author collected data of five Islamic banks of Pakistan over ten years extending from 2006-2015. The independent variables were GDP, Size, Inflation & Liquidity whereas dependent variables were Return on Asset. By using STATA software and employed panel regression, the researcher found that in fixed model effect, there are two significant variables at 5% i.e., size of Islamic banks and liquidity. Liquidity has positive whereas size has negative impact on profitability of Islamic banks. The findings will be helpful for Islamic banking sector to make their policies accordingly. Keywords: Islamic Banks, Size, GDP, Inflation, Liquidity, Return On Assets

Abstract Information about preferred tree features, purchasing habits, preference of a natural versus artificial tree, and socioeconomic characteristics was collected from customers of choose-and-cut Christmas tree farms in Georgia. The preferred tree features are shape, followed by density and height. Color and price are the least important. The test on means of consumers' socioeconomic characteristics revealed that male and female respondents differed in their preference for shape, height, and price; consumers' education impacted the importance of tree height and color; income influenced the importance attached to shape, density, and price. Estimation of models with preferred tree features (shape, density, height, color and price) as dependent variables identified significant negative and positive influences of independent variables. In general, college educated respondents were less concerned about the importance of tree features; female respondents were more concerned about tree shape and price than male respondents; respondents who felt that a natural tree made the season special were less concerned with density and height; an expected visit of a relative during Holidays had a negative impact on the importance of tree height and color suggesting that the visit may have encouraged the tree purchase, but tree features were considered less important.

The debate over corporate governance is skewed by the common misunderstanding that shareholders are the owners of companies, and are entitled to have them run in their interest. The legal model of the firm is more nuanced, seeing the corporation as a complex entity characterized by co-operation between the suppliers of capital and labour, with a co-ordinating role for management. The elevation of shareholder primacy as a focal point for corporate strategy over recent decades is the result of government deferring to financial interests in the making of rules governing takeovers and board structure. Reversing financialization, and the negative impact it is having on social cohesion and innovation, will require a new legislative framework for corporate governance, with a greater role for employee voice and a reorientation of investment priorities.

Traffic accidents are emerging as a serious social problem in modern society but if the severity of an accident is quickly grasped, countermeasures can be organized efficiently. To solve this problem, the method proposed in this paper derives the MDG (Mean Decrease Gini) coefficient between variables to assess the severity of traffic accidents. Single models are designed to use coefficient, independent variables to determine and predict accident severity. The generated single models are fused using a weighted-voting-based bagging method ensemble to consider various characteristics and avoid overfitting. The variables used for predicting accidents are classified as dependent or independent and the variables that affect the severity of traffic accidents are predicted using the characteristics of causal relationships. Independent variables are classified as categorical and numerical variables. For this reason, a problem arises when the variation among dependent variables is imbalanced. Therefore, a harmonic average is applied to the weights to maintain the variables’ balance and determine the average rate of change. Through this, it is possible to establish objective criteria for determining the severity of traffic accidents, thereby improving reliability.

Students without prior research experience may not know how to conceptualize and design a study. This article explains how an understanding of the classification and operationalization of variables is the key to the process. Variables describe aspects of the sample that is under study; they are so called because they vary in value from subject to subject in the sample. Variables may be independent or dependent. Independent variables influence the value of other variables; dependent variables are influenced in value by other variables. A hypothesis states an expected relationship between variables. A significant relationship between an independent and dependent variable does not prove cause and effect; the relationship may partly or wholly be explained by one or more confounding variables. Variables need to be operationalized; that is, defined in a way that permits their accurate measurement. These and other concepts are explained with the help of clinically relevant examples.
