This research reviewed the success factors of start-up business. The research objective was to find out the correlation between entrepreneurial orientation, entrepreneurial interest, and entrepreneurial training on the success of start-up business in Cipayung District of East Jakarta Administrative City. This research approach applied quantitative research paradigm that used survey method. The data collection used questionnaire as the main instrument. The research population was “OK OCE” entrepreneur training participants from 8 (eight) batches. The sampling technique used a saturated sample (total sampling) which took 235 people as the research samples by using PLS-3 SEM analysis. The results of hypothesis test calculation of path coefficient found that the effect of entrepreneurial orientation (X1) on the success of start-up business is not significant based on original sample = -0.172 and p-value = 0.005. The effect of entrepreneurial interest (X2) on the success of start-up business is significant based on original sample = 0.291 and p-value = 0.005. The effect of entrepreneurial training (X3) on the success of start-up business is significant based on original sample = 0.475 and p-value = 0.005. In conclusion, the success of start-up business is affected by entrepreneurial interest and training in supporting entrepreneurial growth.

In prior studies, several researchers have adopted entrepreneurial orientation (EO) in determining students’ intention toward entrepreneurship, although the application of EO is scant in determining intention toward social entrepreneurship in existing literature. Hence, in consideration of this research gap, the current study empirically examines the influence of the dimensions of social entrepreneurial orientation (SEO): social vision, social proactiveness, innovativeness, and risk-taking motive on graduate students’ entrepreneurial intention toward social entrepreneurship-based business start-up. An online-based survey method was used to collect data from a sample of 465 students purposively who were studying at different universities in Bangladesh. A PLS-based SEM was applied to analyze the data and examined the proposed relationships in the conceptual model. The findings reveal that Graduate students’ social proactiveness, innovativeness, and risk-taking motive significantly affect their social entrepreneurial intention. However, students’ social vision does not have direct influence but has indirect influence on social entrepreneurial intention through their social entrepreneurial attitudes. The research contributes to the body of knowledge in the existing social entrepreneurship literature as well as provides practical implications for the policymakers, practitioners, and stakeholders working toward flourishing of social-based entrepreneurship, venture, and start-up.

In association with the potential risks of work accidents in the implementation of construction work, the knowledge of K3 on a construction project is now a fundamental requirement. Aspects of K3 itself will not be able to be run as it should without any intervention from management in the form of a planned effort to manage it (safety management), which is often called the Occupational Safety and Health Management System (SMK3). This research aims to know effects of the knowledge of K3 on the behavior of construction workers as viewed from several aspects related to K3  such as the influence of knowledge variables K3 together to the behavior of construction workers, the effect of knowledge variables K3 partially on the behavior of construction workers and the effect of worker's behavior on work accident. This research were conducted in four construction companies which executed works given by the local government of Luwuk Banggai Regency in 2016. The research approach used in this research is survey method and regression and correlation analysis method having samples of 129 workers. Based on statistical test of hypothesis test, the test result of each K3 knowledge variable shows that all the variables tested (5 K3 knowledge variables ie devinition and initiation K3/X1, K3/X2 management system, personal protector K3/X3, facilities and infrastructure K3/X4, K3/X5 risk) has a strong correlation to worker behavioral variables (Y1). This is evidenced by the correlation numbers R> 0.8 and the determination (r2)>0.7. However, based on the results of simultaneous test (F test) to know the correlation of the five variables of K3 knowledge together to the variable of worker behavior (Y1), the result of statistical test on the simultaneous test shows that in t test (partial) only 2 K3 Good correlation to worker behavior (Y1) that is variable of personal protective device (X3) and K3 risk (X5). According to these two test, it revealed that linear multiple regression result in an equation: Y=0,318X3+0,557X5+1,613 with determinant coefficient (R2) = 71.4 % which means that the model resulting having very good performance.

This study aims to determine the factors that affect the performance of religious teachers in Islamic Elementary School in South Tangerang City. The study employed causal survey method with the population of 85 religious teachers in Islamic Elementary School in South Tangerang City. Given that the sample is less than 100 participants, the respondents in this study is the total sample (the whole population). Data were collected using a questionnaire to measure the variables of teacher performance, education and training, and work discipline. The coefficient of reliability (alpha value) is consecutively 0.8074; 0.7126. The results indicate that, first, there is a direct and significant effect of education and training to the teacher performance, indicated by the value þ = 1.030 with a regression equation Y = 28.529 + 1,030X1, r1y correlation coefficient = 0.917, and the coefficient of determination R square = 0.841, or 84,1%. Second, there is a positive and significant impact of education and training on work discipline, shown by the p-value = 0.00 <0.05 with a regression equation X2 = 6.214 + 0,733X2, correlation coefficient (R2.1) = 0.928 and F count = 516.609, and the R Square = 0.862, or 86.2%. Third, there is a direct and significant effect of performance to work discipline, which is indicated by the value þ = 0.839, the regression equation Y = 32.015 + 0,839X2. Fourth, there is a direct influence of the training and work discipline on the teacher performance, the regression equation Y = 30.070 + 0,313X1 + 0,610X2, Ry.12 correlation coefficient = 0.952, and the R square = 0.907 or 90.7%. The findings imply that the religious teacher performance in Islamic Elementary School in South Tangerang City can be improved by participating education and training program and improving work discipline. KEYWORDS: Training, work discipline, religious teacher performance, public elementary school

Recognizing the importance of a vibrant entrepreneurial culture in the transition from an industrial to an information society, this paper addresses the question of whether entrepreneurship can be taught. A Japanese analysis, which links the ‘near-entrepreneurial experience’ – carefully targeted practical experience for students – to business birth rate, is presented as a positive indicator: by including the near-entrepreneurial experience in entrepreneurial training programmes, the business birth rate can be increased. This points towards the potential for well designed entrepreneurial education and training to achieve a higher impact than has often been assumed. As a specific example, Danish entrepreneurial culture, currently in a state of crisis, is discussed in the context of a particular approach adopted in North Zealand to revitalize the entrepreneurial spirit and direct it towards business start-up.
