The main purpose of the study is to analyze the possibility of developing a tourist area through the development and implementation of an innovative product in the hospitality and ecological tourism industry. The article notes that over the past year, under the influence of the coronavirus pandemic and the introduction of restrictions on outbound tourism, especially international tourism, there is a high demand for domestic eco-tours and recreation in Russia, which contributes to the further development of the entire glamping industry in the country. It is also shown that the convenient location of the Saratov region in three natural and climatic zones, as well as such a powerful resource as the great Volga River, are a potential advantage for the construction of glamping in the region. As a result of the study, the proposed sites for the location of glamping were established, the main preferences of consumers of these tourist services in the region were determined. A description of the design development aimed at creating glamping in a specific territory of the Saratov region is presented. In conclusion, it is concluded that new forms of accommodation bring variety to the regional tourism product and contribute to improving the quality of service.

There are several challenges on way to the forming modern international tourist center on the territory of Crimea meeting the criteria of a year-round, demand and competitiveness. The harmonization of tourism product’s prices and its quality is the main among them. Existing currently unbalanced price policy of tourist service enterprises in the territory of the peninsula could have a negative impact on the region’s image and lead to the loss of competitive position in the market of tourist services. This explains the relevance of this study and its purpose. The research aimed at evaluating the experience of successful development of tourism in foreign destinations and analyzing the factors influencing the pricing policy of tourist service enterprises in the Crimean destinations. To achieve the objectives of the study the authors analyze the approaches to the definition of "destination" and "image". There are a variety of definitions of these terms, but they are all focused on a consumer’s comprehensive perception of tourism product. The distinctive features of main consumer of tourist services in Crimea are established. The reasons for the success of tourism in the destinations in Turkey and Egypt are analyzed. The authors have revealed that the government's efforts to support enterprises in Crimean tourism industry create preconditions for improving the quality of tourism products and the introduction of pricing policies aimed at reducing prices. The article provides an analysis of the factors influencing the pricing policy of tourist service enterprises in Crimean destinations through the method of PEST-analysis. The authors concluded that the current pricing policy of the majority of tourist service companies on the territory of the Republic of Crimea, is apart from the pricing policy of its nearest competitors, does not meet the quality of service and, therefore, does not meet the expectations of the consumers.

Purpose – the main goal of tourism clusters is to attract more tourists to the region and improve the quality of regional tourism products. The aim of this paper is to verify whether the initiative of the Eastern Poland Tourism Brands Cluster has contributed to the development of tourism services and products offered by local firms. Research methodology – to achieve the goal, we described and evaluated cluster activities based on secondary sources of data and questionnaire interviews conducted with the representatives of entities involved in the cluster. We used the modified COO effect model to evaluate the services according to the following criteria: modernity, diversity, prestige and quality. We employed a 5-item Likert scale in our questionnaire. Findings – the results of the analysis showed that despite the increased recognition of tourist brands and products, the cluster did not survive. This experience shows that clusters operating in the tourism industry have less chance of survival than industrial clusters. Research limitations – main limitation of the research is the scarcity of source materials and a low number of surveys returned by cluster members. Personal meetings with respondents would add valuable information. Practical implications – the results of research can be used as an indication for the development and maintenance of tourist cluster initiatives on the market. In recent years, more and more studies focus on the development prospects of tourism clusters. Originality – until now, however, no study on cluster performance has employed the COO effect model or its derivatives, which makes our paper novel in this aspect.

The COVID-19 pandemic determined the necessity for prompt diagnostics and optimal routing of patients, followed by rehabilitation and secondary prevention, as domestic tourism intensifies. The epidemic increased the importance of digital systems for the tourism service market. Digitalization took leading positions in the tourism industry and made market participants adapt to these changes for optimizing their activities and increasing revenues. Further development of tourism in Russia, giving the ongoing pandemic, would require digital technologies such as multilanguage informational services overcoming language barriers, digital tourist cards, mobile apps introducing cultural and national landmarks online, web services for preparing tourist routes. Judging from scientific and practical experience, we can expect that medical, social, physical and psychological rehabilitation supervised by medical personnel will improve body functioning including heart, lungs, central nervous system as well as restore patients’ quality of life in general.

The article explores the potential of the concept of food tourism promotion and development based on prospects available for the different parties concerned. To identify the parties concerned and their motives, the article has addressed conceptual issues relating to a connection between food tourism and tourism sector development; potential of food tourism as an instrument of region development; strategy to be evolved to encourage development of food tourism. It has been established that the parties interested in the origin and development of food tourism may be grouped into four separate categories depending on geographic scope of their operations, business profile and value of their interests: 1) “state regulatory authorities” – regional and municipal state authorities; 2) “food intermediaries” that comprise a wide range of the concerned market players involved in tourism and related sectors; 3) “farmers (producers) and restaurant keepers” involved in provision of food services or production, “public concerned” – volunteers involved in surveys, the findings of which may be used for the development of strategies. The article is aimed at characterizing the theoretical bases of the research of animation services in tourism. The task is to determine the essence of tourist animation as an object of research and highlight its main types and functions. As part of the research, the following methods were used: analytical, historical, description and others. Today, the tourism industry is developing rapidly, despite a number of problems caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, both in the territory of Ukraine and abroad. Tourism remains an important industry, influencing the economy of countries. Therefore, for the further development of this sector, it is important to pay attention to improving the quality of services to maximize the satisfaction of the needs of tourists, especially during their leisure time. The quality factor of the level of tourist product provided under modern conditions is key for the functioning of the tourism sector. Now an important and integral part of the tourism business around the world is tourism animation. During leisure, tourists seek to satisfy a number of their own needs, namely: spiritual, physical, communication, self-realization, etc. In addition, they have the opportunity to analyze their own inner being or characterize the people who will be around at this time. The purpose of the leisure industry is to create all the necessary (safe) conditions for entertainment. The social component of animation activity is the creation and development of modern needs in tourists. In addition, an animation tourism program is directed towards forming and obtaining new useful skills for its participants. To maximize satisfaction of the requirements of vacationers, regardless of their nationality, age, economic prosperity, health status, animation programs must change in terms of content, time or activity during the tourist season. Usually, they depend on the size of the hotel, its geographical location, focus, specifics, etc. It is noted that today the domestic tourist market needs animation specialists. Therefore, it is necessary to pay attention to the level of their training, personal skills that will contribute to the implementation of modern animation programs.

Current condition, problems and prospects for the domestic tourism industry development are studied. The main aspects hindering the tourism industry development in the country are considered and require further solutions. The current normative legal acts regulating issues in the field of tourism are considered and the attention is focused on the lack of correlation between the normative regulation of the branch and the share of revenues from the provision of tourist services in the country's GDP. It is determined that further reorganization and development of tourism in our country is not possible without the active support and direct intervention of the state. The authors proposed the measures, the implementation of which will help harmonize national standards in the field of tourism and resorts with international standards and help improve the quality of the national tourism product. It is proved that the development of the tourism industry directly depends not only on strengthening state regulation of tourism at the national level, but also at the regional level, especially since the tourism management system at the regional and local levels in decentralization in Ukraine is far from perfect. Emphasis is placed on the need to implement EU legislation in the field of tourism and resorts, which contributes to the improvement of tourism legislation and developed recommendations for the implementation of mechanisms for tourism development in the country.
