Emotional advertising on the Internet such as websites and social media can be highly beneficial for Small Medium Enterprises (SMEs). However, not all ofSMEs have a website that meets all of the principles of website design which are persuasive. Moreover, the color is rarely considered in making websites to raise the emotional bonding between the products and audiences of SMEs. Literature review, observation to four websites as case studies, and questionnaires distributed to respondents randomly were performed. This research aimedto evaluate the extent to which SMEs from Bandung exploited the use of color as an element in the web User Interface (UI) design and to analyze whether thecolor could provide emotional bonding, so the visitors were interested in purchase or trial of the product. This research finds that participants responses to color are various in different demographic factors. Zananachips.com is considered to successfully utilize the color in the web UI design to build its brand identity, raise interest in the trial of the product, and engage the consumer with the website. This research is expected to be a reference forSMEs in creating emotion, motivation, and persuasion through website design.

In the automotive industry, current design and dimensioning of forming tools and bearing tool components occurs according to guidelines. Possible interactions between arising loads as well as dimensioning are empirically estimated. Simulative computations, which are based on CAE-methods, are only realized in special cases. Therefore, most often current standards lead to oversized tools. In consequence, new studies based on CAE-analyses are supposed to investigate new possibilities to design forming tools and components optimized in their structure corresponding to the right distribution of forces and stress. This is made in order to increase reliability during the manufacturing process, as well as the tools’ stiffness and contribute to decrease of investment costs.

Appraising vehicle package design concepts using seating bucks — physical prototypes representing vehicle package, is an integral part of the vehicle package design process. Building such bucks is costly and may impose substantial burden on the vehicle design cycle time. Further, static seating bucks lack the flexibility to accommodate design iterations during the gradual progression of a vehicle program. A “Computer controlled seating buck”, as described in this paper, is a quick and inexpensive alternative to the traditional seating bucks with the desired degree of fidelity. It is particularly useful to perform package and ergonomic studies in the early stages of a vehicle program, long before the data is available to build a traditional seating buck. Such a seating buck has been developed to accommodate Ford vehicle package design needs. This paper presents the functional requirements, the high level conceptual design of how these requirements are realized, and the methods to verify, improve and sustain the dimensional accuracy and capability of the new computer controlled seating buck.

This research focuses on how the design of backpacker hostels influences social interaction among guests and how this could enhance or spoil their service experience. There are opposing views on how different aspects of hostel design and services contribute towards guests’ evaluation of their hostel stay. On one hand, it is suggested that a hostel environment which encourages social interaction adds value to the service experience while on the other hand, an environment that offers extra privacy, such as en-suite bedrooms, is more valued. The present research therefore argues that some aspects of the hostel’s current design and core services may now be redundant for certain market segments of the hostel guest. Empirical evidence is needed to illustrate the extent to which hostels are providing the right design and services to meet the current requirements of their target market. At this stage of the research, a pilot study has been carried out using semi-structured interviews with individuals who have stayed in backpacker hostels. Using the Critical Incident Technique (CIT), respondents were asked to recall a specific incident where they had interacted with other hostel guests. Details about the environment in which the interaction took place, as well as how the respondents felt about the interaction, were asked during the interview. It is expected that the findings of this research will shed light on which aspects of a hostel’s design and guests’ interaction would contribute towards enhancing the service experience.

To achieve the target of 30% of the total area's green space area, causing Jakarta and other big cities to make efforts to accelerate the provision of green space. Efforts to provide and manage it did not go as expected. The problem lies in the planning, implementation, utilization, and control relating to institutions, financing, and community participation. That causes the management of Green Open Space (GOS) is not running effectively and efficiently. The main problem is the unavailability of clear guidelines on implementing green space management and ineffective phasing related to the determination of terms of reference with budget constraints. Based on previous research, the concept of sustainable landscape design in harmony with sustainable development is the right way to solve this problem. This study aims to discuss how the concept of sustainable landscape design can be bundled by governance involved in managing green space using action research based on soft systems methodology. It will provide a conceptual model of packaging efforts so that it becomes a reference in various actions to provide and manage green space to achieve effective and efficient GOS management.

The Presence of online transportation brings a new problem in Indonesia transportation market competition, many conventional transportation drivers, such as taxis, buses, motorcycle taxis, city transportation (Angkot) that reject the presence of online-based transportation. For conventional transportation drivers, the existence of online transportation has reduced their income because people prefer to use online transportation rather than conventional transportation. As the power holder, the government certainly has the right and authority to regulate and create policy harmonization for public transportation. This study uses qualitative method where primary data is obtained from 8 months observations, from November 2017 to June 2018. Secondary data are obtained from transportation ministerial regulations, regional regulations issued by the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government, and various discourses that developed in the media mass. Various data obtained are then sorted or filtered and crosschecked against other data. Based on our findings, the government has not been arranged adequate political space, especially for conventional transportation and online transportation in Jakarta. The slow pace of the central government to revise regulations regarding online transportation has triggered serious conflicts in the community. Digital revolution in the dimensions of online transportation in the public interest is what should be an integral part of previous government policies, and that never happened.
