Purpose – The purpose of this paper is to investigate the role of trust in understanding usage of e-government services in South Africa. Of interest are services that involve two way interactions between citizens and government. Design/methodology/approach – Qualitative and quantitative data were collected from members of the public using in-depth interviews and a structured questionnaire, respectively. Findings – The findings show that trust in internet and in government as a provider of e-services are important factors that differentiates users and non-users of e-government services. The two factors are also significantly related to willingness to start using e-government services. Trust in e-service provider unlike trust in internet was however found to be a stronger differentiator of users and non-users and to have a stronger relationship with willingness to start using e-government services. Practical implications – Efforts aimed at promoting use of e-government services need to be based on a good understanding of factors that impact on citizens’ decisions in this regard. Such efforts need to include activities targeted at improving people’s trust in government’s ability to provide reliable and secure e-services. Originality/value – While provision of government services using the online channel is a growing phenomenon in most African countries, not much research has been done into what governments should focus on in order to entice more citizens to take up this channel. This study contributes to addressing this gap.

There are two factors causing an anxiety to women, the internal and external factors. Furthermore, the internal factor includes women’s role in a domestic matter. Linda Hager says the unfinished pressure for women isto manage their schedule towards the children, society, religious life, and work’s responsibility. Those, according to Hager, lead to overload or hot reactor behavior(Hager & Hager, 1999:24). Moreover, the external factor is women’s self-devotion towards their couple and children that cuts off their own time for themselves. As a result, the women will experience the loneliness, anger, and frustration because of their life choices (Hager & Hager, 1999:24). Therefore, the honeymoon effects will be terminated due to those situation and preferences.

This research investigated inertia in a financial‐services context, with particular focus on the reasons for consumers’ dissatisfaction and inert behaviour, and studied customers’ complaining behaviours and past and future inertia. The study utilised a two‐part methodology, including both qualitative and quantitative research. A total of 20 in‐depth interviews provided the preliminary data required for developing a questionnaire that was subsequently completed by 410 respondents. Determinants of dissatisfaction included the number and size of account fees, whilst determinants of inertia were the perception of similarity between financial institutions and the complexity, costs and time inherent in switching. Factors differentiating future inertia and future active customers included the type of account, length of time the account had been held, membership of a number of financial institutions, income and level of consideration given to changing financial institution.

The problems of this study are 1) What is the role BAPAS of prisoners who have gained parole? 2) Any constraints faced by BAPAS in conducting guidance to inmates who obtain parole? The method used in this study using qualitative analysis, that takes into account the facts that exist in the field of practice which are then compared with the description obtained from the study of literature. From this analysis it can be seen the effectiveness of the criminal system that is instructive to the child as a criminal. Data obtained from both primary data and secondary data then analyzed qualitative diskritif troubleshooting procedures examined by exposing data have been obtained from the library studies and field studies were analyzed with the form of conclusions. The results using this sociological juridical methods conclude that: 1) Implementation guidance is felt still far from the expectations of the client, because the guidance conducted by the social counselor counsels are only just so monotonous at all. Whereas in the implementation of the Directive No. E-39-PR.05.03 of 1987 regarding Correctional Client Guidance was mentioned about the forms of activity, so that what has been a guide in the implementation of forms of activity can not run properly, 2).Constraints can be divided into two factors, namely the constraints caused by internal factors and constraints caused by external factors. As the constraints caused by the internal factor is the perception that the client to obtain a conditional release will apply to both the public, As for the problems caused by external factors is the client's premises much an obstacle for the client to do a report that it was his duty, so sometimes it is supervising the relevant social grant a dispensation for the client to do the report at a certain time. Keywords: Strategy; Correctional Centers (BAPAS) Non-Conditional.
