Background: Exclusive breastfeeding is a problem of maternal and child health in Indonesia. With Breastfeeding Support Group, exclusive breastfeeding is expected to improve. Sugihwaras Village and Sumbergede Village have been initiating Breastfeeding Support Group program. However, the framework of Breastfeeding Support Group program and intervention methods for pregnant and breastfeeding mothers in both villages were different.Aim: It analyzed the effectiveness of forming Breastfeeding Support Group program and intervention programs for pregnant and breastfeeding mothers to improve exclusive breastfeeding in Sugihwaras Village and Sumbergede Village.Methods: This study used a case study approach to the formation of Breastfeeding Support Group program. Comparative analysis was done descriptively by selecting samples from the Fieldwork Report of Group 14 and 15 in the period of 2017/2018, Faculty of Public Health, Universitas Airlangga. This study applied total sampling technique and descriptive analysis by comparing community’s characteristics (as input), a form of intervention and program management (as a process), and results of evaluating the formation of Breastfeeding Support Group (as an output).Results: Community’s characteristics in both villages tend to be similar, and the average duration of each program was the same. Sumbergede Village focused on the readiness of forming cadres for Breastfeeding Support Group program, while Sugihwaras Village focused on breastfeeding mothers and their husbands. Indicator analysis of the program showed that Sumbergede Village (80.00% achieved) had a 5.71% higher percentage of attainment compared to Sugihwaras Village (85.71% achieved). Analysis of the program’s strengths and weaknesses pointed out that Sumbergede Village had more values and power in resources in its region.Conclusion: The intervention program in Sumbergede Village tends to be more effective. It has greater potential to be a sustainable program in the following year to improve 100% exclusive breastfeeding. Keywords: Breastfeeding Support Group, exclusive breastfeeding, intervention, effectiveness.

The gold standard in infant feeding and child starting from Early Initiation of Breastfeeding (IMD), exclusive breastfeeding for the six months. One of the health problems faced in the area of †health centers Pucang Sawit is the lack of motivation of counselor support group exclusive breastfeeding. There are only three groups motivator breastfeeding support so not comparable with the number of babies in the region Pucang Sawit. Approaches through peer (Peer Support) on exclusive breastfeeding support group as one of the community-based empowerment efforts so as to help improve coverage eksklusive breastfeeding in Surakarta close to the target so that the vision of becoming a pilot Surakarta can be realized. Implementation ofservice programs are divided into three programs: the first socialization to the cadre and peer group as well as breastfeeding support group facilitator conducted one day, both the implementation of training activities breastfeeding support group for 4 days which consists of four small groups and accompanied by two facilitators each and third activity is monitoring and evaluation results formations breastfeeding support groups.

Breastfeeding support group is an activity consisting of 6-12 people mother with infants aged 0-6 months gathered regularly 2 weeks. Mothers can get support from people who are experiencing the same situation. Because members of this program have similar experiences and environmental situations, a mutually supportive atmosphere will be more easily established. However this program has not been implemented maximally in some areas including Asemrowo Health Center,, which resulted in exclusive breastfeeding coverage in Asemrowo sub-district has not reached the national target that only 58.22%. This study aims to determine the factors associated with maternal behavior in following the breastfeeding support group in the region of Asemrowo health center, Surabaya. This was cross sectional design. The populations  were 64 mothers who have an infant in 0-6 month at the region of Asemrowo Health Center, Surabaya using total sampling technique. There were five variables in this study, there are knowledge, attitude, belief, culture as independent variable and behavior as dependent variable. The instrument used a modified questionnaire from previous research and tested validity and reliability with validity results of 0.350-0.916 and reliability of 0.663 for knowledge questionnaires, 0.723 attitude questionnaires, 0.632 belief questionnaires, 0.863 cultural questionnaires, and 0.948 behavior questionnaires. Data analyze using spearman rank correlation with significance level α≤0,05. Statistical test result p= 0.00 r= 0,457 for knowledge with behavior, p= 0.011 r= 0,315 for attitude and behavior, p= 0,035 r= 0,264 for belief and behavior, p= 0.003 r= 0,360 for culture and behavior. The result had showed that was correlation between knowledge with behavior, attitude with behavior, belief with behavior and culture with behavior. Provision of health counseling and promotion by health workers on the importance of participating in Breastfeeding support group program to mothers with infants aged 0-6 months is needed so that mothers can provide exclusive breastfeeding.

Introduction: Breast milk is the best food for babies because it contains nutrients to support growth and development. The achievement rate of exclusive breastfeeding in ASIA countries has not yet reached the expected target. The coverage of exclusive breastfeeding in Jambi Province in 2018 was 59.36%. The success of exclusive breastfeeding is not only influenced by the mother's physical and mental readiness to breastfeed. Still, it is also influenced by support from health workers and the family. The study aimed to determine the effect of counseling using breastfeeding video on grandmothers' knowledge as breastfeeding support in Sembubuk Village, Muaro Jambi Regency. Methods: This type of pre-experimental research using the One Group Pretest-Posttest design, which saw 40 grandmothers of the Breast Milk Support Group members, was carried out from June 2020 to July 2021. Respondents answer the questionnaires to complete the data collection. The intervention carried out in this study was the provision of counseling using video media about breastfeeding. Data were analyzed through univariate and bivariate using the Wilcoxon test. Results: The results showed the p-value = 0.0001, which means that breastfeeding video affects grandmothers' knowledge in breastfeeding support groups in Sembubuk village, Muaro Jambi District. Conslusion: The results of this study are expected to increase public knowledge and insight regarding the importance of breastfeeding for infant health so that positive behavior is formed in breastfeeding, providing additional appropriate information to advance understanding of breastfeeding support groups about breastfeeding. Various studies show that the coverage of exclusive breastfeeding in Indonesia is still very low. Exclusive breastfeeding is very important for the survival of the baby because it contains growth factors and antibody substances. If breast milk is not given exclusively, the immune system's maturation process will be disrupted and cause the baby to get infected easily. The purpose of this study was to find out the most dominant factors affecting the failure of exclusive breastfeeding at Turi Health Center, Lamongan Regency. This research is descriptive descriptive analysis with cross sectional design. A sample of 132 mothers who have babies aged 6-12 months with the Simple Randem Sampling technique, questionnaire instruments, data analysis with the Logistic Regression test. Most of the mothers did not initiate early breastfeeding, namely 78 (59.1%), got enough husband support 80 respondents (60.6%) and interested in promoting formula milk as many as 74 respondents (56.1%). For partial test Early breastfeeding initiation has a Sig 0.003 value, husband's support for Sig 0.004 and promotion of formula milk Sig 0.001. The results of the analysis of the most dominant variable on the failure of Exclusive ASI were husband's support with a value of OR 1.868. It is expected to increase counselin g and information about the Initiation of Early Breastfeeding and Exclusive Breastfeeding for pregnant women and mothers having babies. As well as being more selective in accepting all forms of promotion of formula milk from various promotional media

Exclusive breastfeeding is giving only breast milk without giving other food and drinks to babies from birth to 6 months of age, except for drugs and vitamins. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of breastfeeding support groups (KP-ASI) on the success of exclusive breastfeeding. The research method used is quantitative descriptive analytic which is cross sectional. The independent variable is the breastfeeding support group (KP-ASI), while the dependent variable is the success of exclusive breastfeeding. Case samples are mothers who have babies aged 6-24 months. The results of the study were based on the Chi-square statistical test, the results obtained were p = 0.001 (p <0.05), meaning that there was a significant relationship between breastfeeding support groups (KP-ASI) on the success of exclusive breastfeeding. Conclusion Breastfeeding Support Groups (KP-ASI) have a very big influence on the success of exclusive breastfeeding; most of who are assisted makes it to the exclusive breastfeeding stage.

Background: Data from Riskesdas in 2010 showed that family living in the urban area still had lower rate of exclusive breastfeeding, specifically 25.2% compare to those living in the rural area. In Jakarta, the proportion of children aged 0-23 months that still being breastfed was only 70.3%, this rate was below the national level of children age 0-23 months that still being breastfed which reach 80.1%. This study aimed to explore the experiences of mothers attending online Mother Support Group as their breastfeeding support. Methods: Qualitative approach was used to explore mothers’ breastfeeding performance and mothers’ experience attending the online group. Key findings show the mothers in the group exposure received support and knowledge from other mother or peers. Type of support given to the mother by both peers and experts (professionals) can be in the form of support group and given in online form. Results: There were also mothers experienced overwhelmed with the information that circulate. This kind of mothers considered that they better learning with individual setting to be more focus or conduct only virtual meeting Conclusion: Good performance on breastfeeding among mothers’ can be maintained by their experiences of group that allow mothers learn in conducive environment and/or solved mothers’ breastfeeding problem.

Exclusive breastfeeding in Indonesia fluctuated and showed a tendency to decrease from the age of zero months to five months. The low coverage of exclusive breastfeeding is influenced by not maximal yet educational activities and fostering optimal breastfeeding support group. Breastfeeding support group can involve cadre by increasing knowledge, skills and training. The purpose of the study to determine the effect of training with simulation methods of behavior of cadres to effort exclusive breastfeeding. This research is a quasi experimental with a non- randomized control group pretest and post test. the ppopulation are 105 cadres  with 60 samples . the Measurement of knowledge and skills done before and after the study. The results of the study can improve the  of cadres knowledge about breastfeeding in the treatment group was higher than the control group with p = 0.001. so also  skill cadre  enhancement in the treatment group was higher than the control group with p = 0.001 (Training with simulation methods and administration modules can improve cadre behavior (knowledge and skills)

Breast Milk is the best and nutritious food in early life for every infants born. Undernourishment in infants can cause growth and development disorders. The attainment of exclusive breastfeeding that still low in Wonoayu sub-district in 2015 becomes the base  the formation of breastfeeding support group (KP-ASI). The aim of this study was to observe the difference of exclusive breastfeeding record and nutrition status of infants aged 6-12 months of KP-ASI participant and non KP-ASI participant. This research was an analytic observational with cross sectional design. This research was done in the working area at Wonoayu and Buduran Health Center, district Sidoarjo. The sample were taken using stratified random sampling, the sample size 36 mothers of infants 6-12 months from KP-ASI participants and 36 mothers of infants 6-12 months from the non KP-ASI participants. The data collection was interviewed by using questionnaire and anthropometry measurements by using length board and baby scale. Data analysis of the research was Chi-Square test and Logistic Regression. The result showed that there was significant difference exclusive breastfeeding record between  groups (p=0.002)  but there was no difference in nutrition status of infants aged 6-12 months (p=0.547) in between both group. Mother employment status (p=0.022 OR=0.211), other family support (p=0.015 OR=O.195) becomes a confounding variable aside from implementation of KP-ASI (p=0.032 OR=3.701) which influence exclusive breastfeeding record. The conclusion of this study was that KP-ASI participant have 3,701 times higher chance to give exclusive breastfeeding the their babies compared with non-KP ASI nember there was no difference nutrition status of infants aged 6-12 months from both group it’ is suggested for Public Health Service of Regency Sidoarjo to develop and reactivate implementation of breastfeeding support group in other district to improve the practice of exclusive breastfeeding.

The research analyzed the efforts conducted in the domain of historical learning in a university, especially related to how the past memory influences the recent multicultural discourses. The method used in this research is qualitative descriptive analysis with case study approach. The research was divided into three parts: (1) collecting data, (2) analyzing data, and (3) reporting the results of the research. Subjects of the research were selected by using purposive sampling technique; they were the 4th semester students up to the 6th semester students of the History Education Department in Samudra University Langsa Aceh. The research resulted findings that conceptually the students had understood about the concept of multicultural. Nevertheless, multicultural discourse had not touched the context of locality. Historical learning was designed to develop and expand the students’ multicultural discourse. The design of historical learning contains the learning strategy of ENACT, consisting of six stages: apperception, exploration, narrowing, analyzing, creating and teaching. Historical learning forms the students’ multiculturalism discourse, built from a historical understanding and the dynamics of Acehnese society. The students viewed that multicultural is a social condition, formed from historical process. Conflict understood by students as the dynamics which is inseparable from a multicultural society. However, the students considered that conflict caused many endless problems, therefore, the students’ multicultural discourse tended to lead to peace condition. Keywords: Historical Learning, ENACT, Multicultural.

Objective: To examine if a perinatal breastfeeding program would improve the exclusive breastfeeding rate at a baby-friendly hospital. Background: The Ten Steps to Successful Breastfeeding and Baby-Friendly Hospital Initiative have been widely used to improve breastfeeding outcomes worldwide. A hospital-based multi-strategy intervention may provide an opportunity to increase breastfeeding in different countries. Study design and methods: The study used a quasi-experimental design. Data was collected in a Baby Friendly hospital. A total of 60 mother-infant dyads were included. The experimental group took part in the multi-component perinatal breastfeeding program, while the control group received routine care. The multi-strategy program included prenatal breastfeeding education, birth kangaroo mother care (skin-to-skin contact and non-separation practices) at first breastfeed, continuous 24-hour rooming-in, ongoing kangaroo mother care with breastfeeding on cue, and hospital support visits. The exclusive breastfeeding rate was measured at hospital discharge, and one-month postpartum. Results: The mothers who participated in the intervention had a greater exclusive breastfeeding rate at hospital discharge and one month postpartum than those in the control group. In the experimental group, 90% of the infants completed the first feeding within two hours after birth. At discharge, 93.3% of the mothers in the experimental group and 53.3% in the control group were exclusively breastfeeding. At one month postpartum, 83.3% of the mothers in the experimental group and 36.7% in the control group were still exclusively breastfeeding. Discussion: The intervention program used in the current study is different to previous studies. The current intervention not only included prenatal education and postpartum support, but also included birth kangaroo mother care at first breastfeed and ongoing kangaroo mother care with breastfeeding on cue. Breastfeeding should be promoted through perinatal comprehensive clinical and social support starting in the prenatal period and continuing through intrapartal, postpartum, and follow-up periods. Conclusion: This study was the first study to use a hospital-based multi-strategy intervention including the non-separation of mother-infant dyads and other breastfeeding support for mothers in Taiwan. The program was associated with a significant improvement in the exclusive breastfeeding rate at one month postpartum.
