                                                          AbstractUnderstanding research methodology and information literacy are two important things in writing scientific papers systematically and structured manner and producing perfect work. In this community service, we focus on how to provide basic level training on the application of research methods and information literacy; this is useful not only for writing scientific papers but also for providing a solid basis for processing data and sorting information more accurately measurably and correctly. Furthermore, this community service will continue to be developed so that SMA Negeri 3 Semarang gets the best things in terms of technological knowledge and research. To face global competition, research methodology and information literacy become a guide for producing works that can positively contribute to society. Therefore, this training is very useful to develop the things that have been mentioned above. The method used is to conduct needs analysis, research, interviews to find out the problem, then the implementation of training activities for students at SMA Negeri 3 Semarang. The result of this community service is that students will understand the basics of research methodology as the basic concept of writing scientific papers and the basic concepts of information literacy to be able to sort or select information and/or data more accurately so that the scientific work produced can be of high quality and provide a positive impact on society. Furthermore, this service will continue to be held to improve competence, general (visible) and specific knowledge (invisible) for students and teachers at SMA Negeri 3 SemarangKeywords: Information literacy, Knowledge, Research methodology, Scientific work                                                            AbstrakMemahami metodologi penelitian dan literasi informasi merupakan dua hal penting dalam penulisan karya ilmiah secara sistematis dan terstruktur serta menghasilkan sebuah karya yang sempurna. Pada pengabdian masyarakat ini, kami berfokus bagaimana memberikan pelatihan tingkat dasar mengenai penerapan metode penelitian dan literasi informasi, hal ini berguna tidak hanya untuk penulisan karya ilmiah tetapi memberikan dasar yang kuat dalam mengolah data dan memilah informasi secara lebih akurat, terukur dan benar. Lebih jauh lagi, pengabdian masyarakat ini akan terus dikembangkan agar SMA Negeri 3 Semarang mendapatkan hal-hal yang terbaik dari sisi pengetahuan teknologi dan riset. Dalam rangka menghadapi persaingan global, maka metodologi penelitian dan literasi informasi menjadi sebuah panduan untuk menghasilkan karya-karya yang dapat memberikan kontribusi positif kepada masyarakat. Oleh sebab itu, pelatihan ini sangat berguna untuk mengembangkan hal-hal yang sudah disebutkan di atas. Adapun metode yang digunakan adalah melakukan analisis kebutuhan, riset, wawancara untuk mengetahui masalah, kemudian pelaksanaan kegiatan pelatihan terhadap siswa di SMA Negeri 3 Semarang. Hasil dari pengabdian masyarakat ini adalah siswa memahami dasar-dasar metodologi penelitian sebagai konsep dasar penulisan karya ilmiah dan konsep dasar literasi informasi, sehingga siswa dapat memilih informasi dan/atau data secara lebih akurat sehingga karya ilmiah yang dihasilkan dapat berkualitas tinggi dan memberikan dampak positif kepada masyarakat. Lebih lanjut, pengabdian ini akan terus diadakan guna meningkatkan kompetensi, pengetahuan umum dan khusus bagi siswa dan guru di SMA Negeri 3 Semarang.Kata kunci: Karya ilmiah, Literasi informasi, Metodologi penelitian, Pengetahuan

The Creation

Desktop mendeley application is actually an application intended to facilitate the creation of citations and a list of libraries commonly used by the authors, so the authors will be pressed error in making the bibliography and facilitate in obtaining the writings to be cited. In addition to creating scientific papers, this application can also be used to manage the files of online journal articles that are the output of a scientific work. Furthermore, participants can utilize this application for the purpose of making a bibliography or collection of abstracts of certain fields of journal articles subscribed. Training activities undertaken in Community Service activities show that participants have a material understanding and the potential to make refernsi managers better and maximum by utilizing mendeley desktop applications.

Purpose: This community service activity aimed to improve the skills or knowledge of lecturers in writing scientific papers as an urgent need in the academic world. Method: The coaching and training were conducted to lecturers/partners of the Kadesi Yogyakarta Theological College. The method used was coaching and training in scientific article writing. Results: The results of this activity showed that there was an increase of about 70% after coaching and training were carried out using the lecture, question, and answer, discussion, and simulation methods. It can be seen from the enthusiasm of the partners when making the article outline. Conclusion: Coaching and training activities for writing scientific articles have a very positive impact on partners in fostering interest in writing scientific papers in online journals. Tujuan dari kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini adalah untuk memberi pemahaman mengenai penggunaan mendeley dalam artikel ilmiah pada dosen fakultas teknik ITBU. Dengan pengenalan ini para dosen diharapkan dapat memberi pemahaman mengenai penggunaan aplikasi mendeley dalam artikel ilmiah secara komprehensif dan terlibat aktif dalam penulisan penelitian dengan sesama rekan dosen, mahasiswa dan semua  pihak yang terkait. Metode pelaksanaan kegiatan ini dibagi ke dalam tiga langkah pelaksanaan kegiatan (workshop): (1) practical guidelines and tips on how to write at national accredited journal,(2) introducing mendeley, and (3) practice of mendeley ini diharapkan dapat menambah pengalaman belajar yang baru bagi para dosen. Hasil kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini mayoritas para dosen dapat informasi dan pengetahuan baru mengenai aplikasi pengutipan dan sitasi mendeley ini. Dampak positif dirasakan oleh para dosen dari kegiatan pelatihan yang diselenggarakan dengan tujuan memudahkan penulisan pengutipan dan sitasi pada artikel ilmiah. Antusiasme yang positif dan rasa ingin tahu para dosen ditunjukkan secara interaktif selama kegiatan pelaksanaan. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini berjalan dengan lancar sesuai dengan harapan serta terjalin komunikasi yang baik antara pihak mitra dengan tim pelaksana.Kata Kunci: jurnal bereputasi, mendeley, karya ilmiah Mendeley: Citation in Writing Scientific Articles in Reputable JournalsABSTRACTCurrently, some lecturers have not been able to make citations automatically using the application. This can be seen from several articles published in journals. One application that makes it easier to write citations internationally is Mendeley. The purpose of this community service activity is to provide an understanding of the use of Mendeley in scientific articles for ITBU engineering faculty lecturers. With this introduction, lecturers are expected to provide an understanding of the use of the Mendeley application in scientific articles in a comprehensive manner and to be actively involved in research writing with fellow lecturers, students and all related parties. The method of implementing this activity is divided into three steps of implementing activities (workshops): (1) practical guidelines and tips on how to write at a national accredited journal, (2) introducing mendeley, and (3) practice of mendeley is expected to add to the learning experience new to the lecturers. The results of this community service activity are the majority of lecturers get new information and knowledge about this Mendeley citation and citation application. The positive impact was felt by the lecturers from the training activities held with the aim of facilitating the writing of citations and citations in scientific articles. The positive enthusiasm and curiosity of the lecturers were shown interactively during the implementation activities. The abdimas activities run smoothly as expected and good communication is established between the partners and the abdimas team.Keywords: reputable journal, Mendeley, scientific work

Abstrak   Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini dilakukan melalui bentuk kegiatan sosialisasi dan pelatihan tentang pengolahan sampah di Desa Tempursari, Kecamatan Tempursari, Kabupaten Lumajang, Jawa Timur pada tanggal 12-17 Juli 2017.  Permasalahan sampah menjadi permasalahan yang belakangan sangat banyak dikeluhkan oleh masyarakat secara khusus di desa Tempursari. Kerjasama yang solid antara semua stakeholder diharapkan dalam penanganan dan pemecahan permasalahan sampah ini, seperti yang sudah dilakukan oleh masyarakat Desa Tempursari dengan kehadiran Gereja Kristen Jawa Wetan (GKJW) yang menjadi fasilitator dalam penanganan sampah di desa Tempursari. Dalam rangka mengembangkan program yang sudah disusun dan akan dijalankan, GKJW bekersama dengan Universitas Kristen Indonesia Jakarta dalam beberapa hal terkait pengolahan sampah tersebut, di antaranya mensosialisasikan pemahaman tentang sampah (jenis dan dan dampak yang ditimbulkan), bagaimana mengolah sampah sesuai dengan jenisnya dan membantu mengoperasikan mesin pencacah sampah plastik dan sampah organik lainnya. Hasil dari kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini dinilai memberikan dampak positif, di mana mesin pencacah yang tadinya sudah lama tidak berfungsi menjadi beroperasi dengan operator yang yang sudah mahir atau fasih, masyarakat mampu memilah sampah dimulai dari tia-tiap rumah tangga sebelum selanjutnya diserahkan ke tim pengolah yang sudah ditunjuk oleh gereja. Akhirnya setelah kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat bersama dengan GKJW Tempursari, maka program pelayanan masyarakat melalui pengolahan sampah oleh GKJW Tempursari mulai berjalan lancar.   Kata Kunci: sampah organik, mesin pencacah   Abstract The community service activities were carried out through the form of socialization and training activities on waste management in Tempursari Village, Tempursari District, Lumajang Regency, East Java. The problem of garbage has become a very recent problem that is very much complained by the community specifically in the village of Tempursari. Solid cooperation between all stakeholders is expected in handling and solving these waste problems, as has been done by the people of Desa Tempursari with the presence of the Gereja Kristen Jawa Wetan (GKJW) who became a facilitator in handling waste in the village of Tempursari. In order to develop a program that has been compiled and will be implemented, GKJW cooperates with the Universitas Kristen Indonesia Jakarta in several matters related to waste management, including socializing understanding of waste (types and impacts), how to process waste according to its type and helping operate plastic waste chopping machines and other organic waste. The results of community service activities are considered to have a positive impact, where the enumerating machines that have not been functioning for a long time become operational with operators who are already proficient or fluent, the community is able to sort waste starting from each household before being submitted to the processing team who has been appointed by the church. Finally after the community service activities together with GKJW Tempursari, the community service program through processing waste by GKJW Tempursari began to run smoothly.   Keywords: organic waste, chopping machine

One important part of the rank of an educator at STIE Kesatuan is required to understand the processes in applying for promotion by completing complete documents, consisting of education and teaching, scientific work, community service and support. So far, the process of increasing the functional position of educators is based on the results of the processing carried out based on the work unit in the HRD. For the sake of appropriateness of the process of increasing the academic position of lecturers and the suitability of the points required, a support system for the decision to increase in academic functional positions is made for educators. The data used are in the form of previous rank files along with educational and teaching files, scientific papers, community service and support. The econometric analysis method is used to calculate statistically. Scientific articles are scientific papers from research results communicated in scientific publications, such as journals, magazines, or other publications. Librarians as functional personnel are required to make a positive contribution to the nation's change, one of which is to produce scientific papers published in scientific publications. The community service activities aim to provide understanding, improve and provide the ability to compile research results and the ability to write scientific articles to librarians in Pekanbaru. The method used in this activity is in the form of workshops delivered with lecture techniques, question and answer, and practice. To find out the extent of participants' acceptance and understanding, as well as the ability of participants, at the beginning and end of the training an evaluation or evaluation is carried out by filling in the pretest and post-test sheets. Based on the results of the tests that have been conducted, it is known that the participants experienced an increase after training in writing scientific articles. On the understanding of the concept of scientific articles increased by 30.75%, while the ability of strategies and scientific article writing techniques increased by 29.64%. in the training participants were very enthusiastic and active in participating in training activities writing scientific articles from beginning to end.

The problem of partners in Community Service Activities is that teachers are not able to operate computers or laptops properly. As a result of these conditions, the teacher is unable to use Microsoft Word smoothly. On the other hand, the use of Microsoft Word is very necessary for teachers both for administrative purposes, the need for the preparation of scientific work or the preparation of teaching materials. The solution used to overcome partner problems is through Microsoft Word learning activities. The learning method implemented is through group discussions, deliberations, internal training and workshops. The results obtained were an increase in partner knowledge in operating Microsoft Word and the teacher gave a positive response to the training activities.

Mambalan is a village located in the Gunung Sari, West Lombok, where most of the population lived as farm laborers and stone breaking. A small income, of course, has an impact on the ability of parents to send their children to a higher level of education. Based on the conditions above, the writer and team are interested in conducting community service by providing English language training using audio-visual media for the youth organization. This training used an audio-visual media method with the aim of making the training activities more interesting and easier for the training participants. This English training activity has a positive impact on the youth organization of Mambalan village. These positive impacts are seen through the result of the training process. Within a few months of following the training process by using audio-visual media, the learning outcomes of the training participants increased. Before participating in the training, the training participants considered English was a difficult language to learn, but after participating in the training by using audio-visual media the trainees began to experience the convenience and the trainees thought that learning English using audio-visual media was fun.

The Community Service Program (Penmas) which is carried out aims to increase the willingness of teachers to write scientific papers, increase the ability of teachers to write scientific papers, and improve the ability to search for references in various sources. The implementation of Penmas was preceded by providing information to the Principal about the training activities to be carried out, giving invitations to teachers who would be training participants, conducting training 15 February 2021 virtually, and making reports on the results of the implementation of activities. The materials presented during the training are: 1) the urgency of writing scientific papers for career advancement and knowledge of educators, 2) strategies for writing scientific proceedings and journals, 3) systematic proceedings and journal articles. Participants also received guidance on writing scientific papers in tutorial activities and practicing writing scientific papers virtually. Training participants are limited to 40 MTS and MA Ulumiyyah Tuban teachers.

Abstract: The purpose of this Community Service activities are aimed at disseminating the increase in the number of professional teachers for credit through the writing of scientific papers, providing the knowledge and understanding of how to write a scientific paper in the journal scientific, and produces scientific papers in the form of the paper/article about education-elementary's.In addition, this Community Service is a vehicle for the study Program PGSD to devote keilmuannya.Target audience Devotion On this society is The primary teachers se-Banyusari sub district of Falkirk which is the teacher of Civil Servants and Non-Civil Servants totalling 20 people from the planned 32 people.This activity is a method of training for 2 days of writing scientific papers.The implementation is done by the training, using the method of lecture with presentation techniques, followed by a question and answer discussions and exercises as a form of scientific paper-writing workshop activities as betuk professional development of teachers.The results of the implementation of the community service Society showed still lack of success because the participants are present just as many as 20 men primary school teachers from the plan of 32 people.Nevertheless, the Community Service activities whose primary purpose is to provide an understanding of writing scientific papers.It can be seen from his enthusiasm the primary teachers in following the whole training activities, both in the granting of material.The teachers also show enthusiasm when conducting discussions.Keyword: Writing Of Scientific Works, Primary School TeachersAbstrak: Tujuan kegiatan Pengabdian Pada Masyarakat ini adalah bertujuan untuk mensosialisasikan kenaikan angka kredit bagi guru profesional melalui penulisan karya ilmiah, memberikan pengetahuan dan pemahaman tentang tata cara menulis karya ilmiah pada jurnal ilmiah, dan menghasilkan karya ilmiah berupa naskah/artikel tentang pendidikan ke-SD-an. Selain itu, Pengabdian Pada Masyarakat ini merupakan wahana bagi Program Studi PGSD untuk mengabdikan keilmuannya. Khalayak sasaran Pengabdian Pada Masyarakat ini adalah Para guru SD se-kecamatan Banyusari kabupaten Karawang yang merupakan guru PNS dan Non PNS berjumlah 20 orang dari yang direncanakan 32 orang. Metode kegiatan ini adalah Pelatihan selama 2 hari tentang penulisan karya ilmiah. Pelaksanaan dilakukan dengan pelatihan, menggunakan metode ceramah yaitu dengan teknik presentasi, dilanjutkan dengan diskusi tanya jawab dan latihan sebagai bentuk kegiatan workshop penulisan karya ilmiah sebagai betuk pengembangan profesi guru. Hasil pelaksanaan Pengabdian Pada Masyarakat dapat diidentifikasi mengenai tingkat pemahaman peserta pengabdian adalah bahwa 70% peserta pengabdian memahami konsep penulisan karya ilmiah sebagai pengembangan profesi guru yang profesional. Kegiatan pelatihan berjalan dengan lancar dihadiri oleh 20 peserta undangan. Peserta pelatihan terlihat antusias dengan materi pelatihan yang diberikan. Hal ini terlihat dari awal hingga akhir acara, semua peserta mengikuti dengan baik. Para guru juga memperlihatkan antusiasnya ketika melakukan diskusi.Kata Kunci: Penulisan Karya Ilmiah, Guru SD
