Indian economy post-COVID 19 pandemic may witness a massive reengineering of all its economic activities. Some will cherish the change, while others will perish over time. The post-pandemic scenario will have a drastic impact across industries and sectors regardless of their scale or size. The magnitude of impact on SMEs and entrepreneurship is unfathomable considering the prevailing intensity of the crisis. SMEs should come up with plausible innovation and talented human force to sustain in the market. The enterprises should develop and nourish ‘talent culture' and should focus on ‘talent', which remains the most neglected component in Indian SMEs until today. Hence, adopting an exploratory approach with a systematic literature review, the chapter focuses on positioning the importance of talent management and its components in the SME framework to manage the post-pandemic crisis. In the process, the chapter deliberates on the key strategies for rearing SMEs through proper management of critical talent and human resources.

Most libre (free, open source) software projects rely on the work of volunteers. Therefore, attracting people who contribute their time and technical skills is of paramount importance, both in technical and economic terms. This reliance on volunteers leads to some fundamental management challenges: Volunteer contributions are inherently difficult to predict, plan, and manage, especially in the case of large projects. In this chapter we present an analysis of the evolution over time of the human resources in large libre software projects, using the Debian project, one of the largest and most complex libre software projects based mainly in voluntary work, as a case study. We have performed a quantitative investigation of data corresponding to roughly seven years, studying how volunteer involvement has affected the software released by the project, and the developer community itself.

Background: One of the ways through which the quality of the hospital services can be improved is the accreditation, and most of the countries have launched their own accreditation system as a strategy to improve services. The aim of this research was to investigate the way of implementing the accreditation programs at Shahid Motahhari educational center in Marvdasht city. Methods: The current study was qualitative with conventional content analysis which was conducted by using the semi-structured interviews with eight officials and employees of Marvdasht Shahid Motahhari Medical Education Center in 2017. Purposeful sampling was done in this study and the next stage; the snowball sampling method was used to select the desired samples. Data were gathered to reach the data saturation point, and conventional content analysis was done to analyze the research data. Results: Two main themes and nineteen sub-themes were obtained through the nine categories. Self-confidence in the team, sense of superiority and achievement, all units’ coordination, accurate and scientific coherent supervision and management, and considering the book of standards as a guiding factor are among the strengths of this research.Poor management of programs, lack of proper context while running the program, lack of proper training, lack of financial and human resources, lack of commitment and interest in implementing the program among different groups were main identified barriers of the program. Conclusion: The effective factors on the implementation of the accreditation standards in the healthcarecenters should be identified. The success of managing the forest management unit cannot be separated from the availability of human resources.  The purpose of this study is to study the implications of the issuance of Law Number 23 of 2014 concerning Regional Government on Human Resources in the Gedong Wani Production Forest Management Unit. Data obtained through interviews and library studio analyzed descriptively qualitative.  The results showed that there have been changes in human resources in the Regional Technical Implementation Unit (UPTD) KPHP Gedong Wani.  In addition, there are also several inhibiting and supporting factors in its application. The most important implication is an increase in human resources both in quantity and quality due to the transfer of authory from the center to the regions.  Education and training are still needed to guarantee and improve the quality of human resources in the UPTD KPHP Gedong Wani.

This report examines the behavior of elderly adults and preschool children during horticultural therapy (HT) activities to determine if combining intergenerational groups would complement or detract from the HT goals for each group separately. During a 10-week observation period, data were collected on video documenting attendance, participation time and pattern during separate age group and intergenerational activities. These data were used to determine if interactions changed over time or in response to different activities. Participation appeared to be affected by activity design, difficulty level, individual ability, and availability of assistance from volunteers. Children's participation during separate age group activities appeared to be affected mainly by the difficulty level and activity design. Elderly adults' participation during separate age group activities appeared to be affected by individual ability limitation and availability of assistance. Children's intergenerational participation scores appeared to show an increase in the category of “working with direct assistance”, while elderly adults' intergenerational scores appeared to show an increase in the categories of “no participation” and “independent participation”. In part, the change in intergenerational participation appeared to be due to a decrease in assistance available from volunteers for each individual. For some individuals, the introduction of intergenerational groups appeared to detract from personal participation in horticulture activities. If the goal of the HT is directly related to the individual's activity in horticulture (i.e., increased self-esteem from successfully designing and building a terrarium), the intergenerational element appears to reduce the potential for that benefit. The percentage of total social interaction time between the generations during activities increased over time. The intergenerational activities involving plant-based activities seemed to be more successful at increasing intergenerational exchange than the craft-type activities. Therefore, horticulture may be a useful activity for programs with a goal of increased intergenerational interaction.
