<em>Freshwater fish farming is one of the efforts made by the people of Sindumartani Village, Ngemplak Sub-district, Sleman Regency. The battle for water and land has made most people cultivate freshwater fish, especially tilapia. This makes fish products abundant. This condition is the initiative of the Mina Mandiri Women Farmer Group to process the fish production into several processed fish products such as fish chips and shredded fish. One of the obstacles faced in the effort to develop this processing business is that the group's performance has not been optimal due to a lack of knowledge about group business interests and how to create a solid group with good performance. This community service is carried out in order to solve these problems by conducting group dynamics training both in theory and practice. The group dynamics training that was carried out made women members of the Mina Mandiri Women Farmer Group understand the importance of group business, the factors that are the strengths and weaknesses of groups and working in groups (teamwork). The understanding and skills obtained from community service activities increase the group's performance. This can be seen from the increasing number of members who attend monthly meetings, the increasing frequency of production activities, </em><em>the increasing types of processed fish products and the wider the marketing area.</em>

This research aims to analyze the base commodity and income levels of freshwater fish farmers.  The research is conducted by survey method in which location was chosen purposively at Pagelaran and Lugusari Villages, Pagelaran Subdistrict of Pringsewu Regency with consideration that the location are the central of freshwater fish production (minapolitan areas).  The samples are 44 freshwater fish farmers who are members of fish farmers group with farming experience of more than five years.  The data was collected in June to July 2017 and is analyzed by Location Quotient (LQ) analysis to determine base commodity and fish farming analysis to identify income level of freshwater fish farmers.  The result of LQ analysis and fish farming analysis showed that the main base commodity was goldfish with LQ score 1,18 and the highest income level from three business focus (breeding business, enlargement business, also the breeding and enlargement business of goldfish) was an enlargement business of goldfish with an income value of Rp1,556,440.29/1,000 m2/month.Key words: base sector, freshwater fish, goldfish, income, main commodity

The Village

The freshwater fishery sector is one of the potentials possessed by the village of Tapen due to its location near the river and the Sampean Baru dam, which is the largest river in Bondowoso Regency. However, the income of the people with the livelihood of freshwater fish fishermen in Tapen Village is not optimal because the community does not understand how to process and market processed freshwater fish products in order to increase the selling value of fish. Efforts to increase community income through the fisheries sector carried out by the 60 KKN BBM Uniar period eke-63 are socialization of processing and marketing of processed freshwater fish products. The activity was carried out with a presentation method regarding the processing and marketing of processed freshwater fish products as well as a demonstration on the process of making processed freshwater fish products in the form of catfish dumplings and tilapia nuggets. The socialization participants were PKK women, village cadres, fishermen's wives, and prospective entrepreneurs from the village of Tapen. In addition, the socialization regarding the marketing of processed freshwater fish products was also carried out using the online method using the Whatsapp group media.AbstrakSektor perikanan air tawar merupakan salah satu potensi yang dimiliki oleh desa Tapen disebabkan letaknya yang berada di dekat sungai dan bendungan Sampean Baru yang merupakan sungai terbesar yang berada di Kabupaten Bondowoso. Namun, pendapatan masyarakat dengan mata pencaharian nelayan ikan air tawar di Desa Tapen belum maksimal karena masyarakat kurang memahami cara mengolah dan memasarkan produk olahan ikan air tawar guna meningkatkan nilai jual ikan. Upaya untuk meningkatkan pendapatan masyarakat melalui sektor perikanan yang dilakukan oleh kelompok 60 KKN BBM Uniar periode ke-63 adalah dengan Sosialisasi Pengolahan dan  Pemasaran Produk Olahan Ikan  Air  Tawar.  Kegiatan yang dilakukan dengan metode presentasi mengenai pengolahan dan pemasaran produk olahan ikan air tawar serta demonstrasi mengenai proses pembuatan produk olahan ikan air tawar yang berupa siomay ikan lele dan nugget ikan nila. Peserta sosialisasi adalah ibu-ibu PKK, kader desa, istri nelayan, serta calon pengusaha yang berasal dari desa Tapen. Selain itu sosialisasi mengenai pemasaran produk olahan ikan air tawar juga dilakukan dengan metode daring menggunakan media grup Whatsapp.

Sukamakmur Village is a village located in Ajung District, Jember Regency with residents making a living as farmers and cultivating freshwater fish. The location of Sukamakmur Village is very prospective for freshwater fish cultivation because of its strategic location in getting water, and the type of fish being cultivated is catfish. In the last period, most of the people who cultivate catfish have gone out of business due to increasing feed prices while the selling value of catfish is unable to cover. The purpose of this community service program is to increase the standard of living and welfare of the people of Sukamakmur Village through the cultivation of freshwater crayfish as a substitute for catfish commodities. The method used for service program activities is through socialization, training, mentoring, and evaluation approaches. The results of the activity show that the community is enthusiastic in implementing freshwater crayfish cultivation because the cultivation method is very easy and requires low costs. Another result obtained is that the community can start new businesses, especially those that have gone out of business due to catfish cultivation so that they can bounce back in increasing their income

Chicken manure is an organic material that is abundant in Mentangor Village which has been used as fertilizer when fertilizing ponds, however the continuous use of fertilizers can reduce the quality of the bottom soil and pond water. One of the technological innovations to improve the quality of chicken manure is fermentation using EM4 to produce bokashi fertilizer. Bokashi fertilizer can increase the abundance of phytoplankton and zooplankton which are useful as natural fish food so that they can reduce the use of artificial feed, which in turn can reduce the operational costs of fish farming. Community service activities are carried out for the purpose of innovating knowledge and skills of fish farmers regarding techniques for making bokashi fertilizer from chicken manure and techniques for making fish feed in the form of pellets to increase cultivated fish production. This activity is carried out by lecturing, discussion and practice methods, which involve fish cultivator groups and Kukerta students. The results of community service activities show the high enthusiasm of farmers towards the activities carried out, resulting in increased knowledge, insight and skills of farmer groups. Thus, fish farming activities can be carried out by farmers by reducing operational costs for pond management and provision of feed so as to produce high fish production and increase the income and welfare of farmer groups.

Neon tetra (Paracheirodon innesi) as one of the commercial fish species of tetra group. Market prospects, especially for national, pretty good. The market outlook is also supported by the scarcity of ornamental fish farmers who cultivate them. One contributing factor, the lack of knowledge about the ratio of the number of parent couples who used because the sex ratio in spawning fish of each species is different. This is related to the determination of the effectiveness of the number of pairs of parent and efficient use of aircraft. One livelihood District of Kras is a fish farming businesses. With the current conditions in which the business prospects of ornamental fish are on the rise, the skills of ornamental fish breeding techniques Neon tetra is an advantage for fish farming businesses. The target outcomes of this community service program is Equipping fish farming businesses in the District Kras with knowledge of engineering and maintenance management of seed breeding freshwater fish neon tetra and increase their income by making freshwater fish neon tetra as commodity diversification ornamental fish.AbstrakNeon tetra (Paracheirodon innesi) sebagai salah satu jenis ikan komersial kelompok tetra. Dengan kondisi terkini dimana prospek usaha ikan hias semakin meningkat, keterampilan teknik pemuliaan ikan hias Neon tetra merupakan keuntungan bagi usaha budidaya ikan. Metode yang digunakan menggunakan penyuluhan diskusi, pelatihan, monitoring, dan konsultasi. Hasil target program layanan masyarakat ini adalah Melengkapi usaha budidaya ikan di Kabupaten Kras dengan pengetahuan teknik dan manajemen pemeliharaan bibit ikan air tawar neon tetra dan meningkatkan pendapatan mereka dengan membuat ikan air tawar neon tetra sebagai komoditas diversifikasi ikan hias. Kemampuan memijahkan ikan terutama ikan hias sangat diminati oleh para petani di Kecamatan Kras, Kediri. Hal itu karena para petani sangat menginginkan untuk bisa membudidayakan ikan hias neon tetra tersebut. Para petani dapat mencoba memulai memijahkan sendiri ikan hias Neon Tetra dengan sampel ikan yang dierikan serta dapat berkonsultasi mengenai budidaya ikan hias Neon Tetra sewaktu- waktu di Laboratorium Perikanan FPK Unair.

The Cost

The objective of this community service activity are to increase knowledge and skills to managers and members of Amokuni Village Owned Enterprise (Bumdes Amokuni) regarding business management, added value, determining the cost of goods manufactured (HPP), and creative marketing strategies. Activities carried out include socialization, extention, training and mentoring. The result of this service activity was that the knowledge and skills of the managers and members of Bumdes Amokuni have increased. Increased knowledge was meant in terms of business management, increasing the added value of freshwater resources, HPP determining and creative marketing strategies for freshwater fish products to be produced. Improved skills were in the form of skills in making business management concepts, processing pomfret and tilapia into shredded fish and fishbone sticks with 5 flavors (original taste, BBQ, spicy sweet, balado, and roasted corn), HPP determining, and marketing diversified products freshwater fish online and offline.

The Village

This community service focuses on freshwater fish (catfish) cultivation. This community service is carried out on the basis of youth needs by involving youth or beneficiaries from planning to evaluation. This community service is carried out by paying attention to local wisdom in Gampong Pante Rawa Aceh Besar. The service method used is problem identification, coordination, planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation. The results of this community service have had a good impact on the youth of Pante Rawa Aceh Besar village, both in economic, social and educational impacts. This community service provides income economically, builds social networks at the village and stakeholder level. This community service also provides new knowledge for youth about freshwater fish farming.

The livelihoods of the people of Tangkerang Utara Village are; in agriculture, plantation, animal husbandry, self-employment and fisheries. In the fisheries sector, there are two groups of fish cultivators (POKDAKAN) in this kelurahan, namely; POKDAKAN Cahaya Utara Mandiri and Dolphin Farm, which conduct fish farming in soil and cement ponds and cages. The main problems faced by POKDAKAN are the limited availability of water intended for fish cultivation and the wate rquality that is not suitable for catfish growth. Throught his program of guided villages, knowledge and technology is given on the technique of applying probiotics to cultivation media to improve wate rquality and minimize water use. The method used in the community service activities of the Assisted Village is the method of lecturing, discussion and direct practice in the pools owned by POKDAKAN members. The results of the evaluation of 23 extension participants showed that 20 people (86.96%) had never known about the application of probiotics in cultivation media, while 2 people (8.70%) had known about the application of probiotics and 1 person (4.34%) had apply it to catfish farming ponds. After participating in this training activity, there was an increase in knowledge about the application of this probiotic by 69.57%. Meanwhile, 22 participants understood the dosage and frequency of feeding, and all participants had already known the criteria for healthy fish seeds. The partners' assessments of the implementation of this activity are: 52.17 strongly agree that this probiotic application can be done independently; 52.17% strongly agree that probiotic applications can improve water quality; 60.87% strongly agreed that it could be an alternative livelihood; 65.22% strongly agree to speed up the maintenance period.

AbstractThe seawater fishery in Dusun Sine has the higher potentials, due to its location near the coastal area of Sine Beach. In general, the people in Dusun Sine make a living as sea fishermen. However, the income of the marine fishing community has not maximized because the community still uses the conventional marine product processing production system, so that the marketing of processed marine fish products is also limited. As an effort to increase the selling value of processed marine fish, the International Community Service Group empowers fishermen's wives in Sine Hamlet by conducting several activity programs in the form of socializing the manufacture of modern marine processed products in the form of Sine Foodies, home industry food (PIRT), and the use of e-commerce. This activity was held to use a health protocol and through a presentation method on product marketing licensing in the form of PIRT socialization and marketing of processed marine fish products with e-commerce as well as demonstrations on the process of making processed marine fish products in the form of shredded fish and fish balls using attractive packaging. Namun, pendapatan masyarakat nelayan laut belum maksimal karena masyarakat masih menggunakan sistem produksi pengolahan hasil laut secara konvensional, sehingga pemasaran produk hasil olahan ikan laut juga terbatas dengan seadanya. Sebagai upaya untuk meningkatkan nilai jual hasil olahan ikan laut, Tim Pengabdian masyarakat Departemen Kimia, Fakultas Sains dan Teknologi, Universitas Airlangga dengan didukung penuh oleh Kelompok mahasiswa KKN Internasional, FST, UNAIR melakukan upaya pemberdayaan para istri nelayan di Dusun Sine dengan melakukan beberapa program kegiatan berupa sosialisasi pembuatan hasil olahan laut secara modern berupa Sine Foodies, pangan industri rumah tangga (PIRT), serta penggunaan e-commerce. Kegiatan ini diselenggarakan menggunakan protokol kesehatan dan melalui metode presentasi mengenai perijinan pemasaran produk berupa sosialisasi PIRT dan pemasaran produk hasil olahan ikan laut dengan e-commerceserta demonstrasi mengenai proses pembuatan produk hasil olahan ikan laut yang berupa abon ikan dan bakso ikan dengan menggunakan kemasan yang menarik.
